Northern Sole in Highland

My wife and I had a beautiful valentine's meal here and enjoyed some of the best quality food Wick has to offer, fish that melted in the mouth, triple cooked chips and a mouthwatering fudge cake. Very reasonable price, we will certainly be back again. Highly recommended!!!

Zwei sehr freundliche junge Damen managen das Restaurant. Ist mit Bedienung. Wir haben Fisch&Chips mit Salat (Foto) sehr lecker zubereitet gegessen. Kann auch als Take away mitgenommen werden.

Called in only because we saw someone else on the street eating the chips. The young girl that served us was so friendly and nice and gave us two oldies some info on Wick while we waited for our order. Not very long. We got chips which were great, crispy but fluffy inside. We also got a pie each for the journey on the train back to Inverness. We didn’t eat the pies until about 2 hours after we brought them. They were still warm and my husband (a pie connoisseur) thought it was one of the best steak pies he has ever eaten. Highly recommend Northern Sole.

Went to Northern Sole for a fish supper at lunch time today. The best I have had in WICK , the batter was thin and crispy and chips were tasty. Well done ,I will be back!!!!

We ordered fish suppers to take away, the oil it was cooked in didn’t smell pleasant, the chips were very soggy, and the batter on the fish was not crispy. There was too much oil, we threw it away and will not be going back. Will stick to the harbour chip shop in future.

We had a takeaway of haddock and chips from Northern Sole and really enjoyed our meal. The fish was excellent with lovely crispy batter and very good chips. Good service and a reasonable price. Would certainly buy from here again if we ever make a return visit to the area.

Really disappointing. Chips were cold- hubby had to heat his up in microwave. Hardy any chips - tray was not piled up at all as is usual with most chip shops. Would not go back.
