Skipton Golf Club in Craven

Skipton & District RNA booked this venue for their traditional October Trafalgar Lunch. The Kestrel menu offered choices & dietary options for all guests (55). The food was well prepared & beautifully presented by Chef Gary & service by the waiting team Lisa & Lucy was also to a high standard. Nothing was too much trouble for this friendly pair. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had by all & we all went home well fed & smiling ⚓️⚓️⚓️

We were at the venue as part of a 50+ presentation evening (not a golf club function), Food was hot and very well prepared and presented . Staff were excellent. very highly recommend this venue.

Called for lunch with friends. Great service and best Sunday lunch in the area. Wide choice and all freshly cooked. Will definitely return.

What a lovely scenic golf club this is. The restaurant/bar is so friendly and food is delicious. We always call here a couple of times when we visit Skipton for a pint as it is so peaceful and relaxing. Walk through Skipton woods to the top, cross the main road then you’re there.

Started the day with their full english breakfast, just the right size with lovely sausages and bacon especially, staff really friendly and nice. The course is lovely, it is exposed so the wind plays its part in the challenge, it is also hilly, this adds nicely to the character, was in great condition considering we played in October, highly recommended. Club house is nice with great views over the valley.

Played the course on Friday 13th March 2020....and although the 10th and 11th were shut the rest of the course was in great nick. Well done Mr Greenkeeper. Can also recommend the Hot Beef Roll and chips - great value. Thanks also to Robbo the pro.

Good food at a reasonable price. Plenty of choice as long as you want basic pub food. Well prepared and plenty of it.

Played golf here today this is a beautiful golf course with fantastic views all on proper greens the professional was excellent friendly and very informative about the course afterwards we had a bit to eat all the staff on the bar and serveing food were most helpful in every way definitely first class

We have visited and played the golf course twice in the last couple of weeks, and both times we found the course to be in excellent condition and enjoying stunning views! On arrival, the professional, Peter, could not have been more helpful and assisted with everything we needed. Only had a sandwich in the club house, but service was good and food quality was great. I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area!

called in Monday lunch time the lounge area looked like a bomb site the slim blond young lady behind the bar had no intention whatsoever of clearing away empty cups and saucers seemed content to mess about on her phone and then wandered of somewhere when i found it I had to press a bell for service was she actual getting paid to work !!!!!!

We had our wedding reception here on the 24th of May , the food was out of this world Andrew and his team were amazing , everyone commented on how tender the beef was and how everything was cooked to , served timely and was piping hot (with 76 people to serve this was no mean feat!) The manager Natasha and her staff couldn't do enough for us (thank you girls !) and the whole day went smoothly from start to finish! The views are magnificent and we could see Embsay crag where my late father played as a child. We couldn't have wished for more thank you from the bottom of our hearts Mr and Mrs Jackson x

Enjoyed a celebration gathering last Sunday at the golf club. Meal was good and plentiful, the staff obliging and helpful and all this in a very pleasant room with a beautiful outlook. The Head Chef, Andrew, was most helpful with our prior organising. A good afternoon was enjoyed and this venue is recommended.

on e recent trip to skipton my wife decided she would like to go shopping, i decided not so brought my clubs and off i went. good value and i lovely course with great views

This was our groups Christmas lunch. The food was plentiful and hot. The menu was basic English pub food but very tasty. The service was very good especially as there was plenty ver 40 people in our group. The golf club has just been refurbished and they have not put their prices up to reflect this. A good basic feed. The wine and beer where not expensive- pau b prices.

We came to this Resturant to celebrate my Husbands 65th Birthday. Cannot praise the Staff enough. The waitress and Bar Staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble for them.There was good choices for Starters, Main and Desserts. The Food was fantastic. A big Thank you for making out day memorable.

It has been some time since we went for Sunday lunch at Skipton Golf Club but I am pleased to say it is as good as ever and great value at £15 for 3 courses. The Clubhouse has now been refurbished and the new and modern look only adds to the quality of the experience as do the staff who are extremely pleasant and ensure everyone is given a warm welcome. Food was excellent, big chunks of very tender roast beef to go with lovely Yorkshire puddings and fresh cooked vegetables. Mind you, the food has always been of a high quality. Interestingly, it isn’t just a club for members and anybody is welcome to book a table and sample the catering. Why not give it a go by calling 01756. 795657. You won’t be disappointed. We have just held our Golden Wedding Celebratory Lunch at the Golf Club for 55 people and cannot sing the praises of the catering and bar staff loud enough. Every aspect of the event was excellent. Chef Andrew offered a a menu with three choices of starters and mains which were ordered in advance, with a choice of desserts on the day. The waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful and the bar service was second to none. All our guests commented on the quality of the food and on the wonderful views and setting. I would recommend holding an event here without reservation.

Volvimos para cenar temprano por la noche que previamente se hayan para una celebración del día de la calle George. La comida era excelente y el servicio en ambas ocasiones amable y eficiente. Por supuesto éste no siempre es el caso de palos de golf. Hay uno no muchos kilómetros de distancia, donde nuestra experiencia fue horrible. Bien hecho Skipton!

We played here in the Mixed Open. We found the club to be friendly and accommodating to our needs. We ate here afterwards and the meal was excellent and very good value too.

El club fue de lo más servicial durante el proceso de reserva, asesorar sobre posibles cierres de carretera debido al Tour de Yorkshire que estaba pasando en el día jugamos. El curso está siendo diseñado debido a los trabajos de defensa de las inundaciones, que tenía lugar en el tiempo. Eso no estropeó nuestro disfrute de un campo agradable dales. El personal de vuelta en el bar siempre sándwiches y patatas fritas, ya que cada equipo completó su ronda. El servicio era muy bueno y nos trataron con calidez y amabilidad en todo el día. Volveremos.

The course is in the throws of major changes, flood protection work is playing havoc with the course. Temporary holes & tee's. To compound this the greenstaff decided to cover the greens with sand on the day wwe visited, avoid at the moment. Course is very wet & boggy also.

Had a really enjoyable evening. 3 course meal followed by coffee & mints. The food was delicious, piping hot & very well presented. A really nice place to have an event and would certainly recommend.

Despite poor weather, course in good condition. Well planned interim changes to course whilst flood defence work takes place. Very good soup and sandwiches at a good price. Staff very friendly - in fact a big improvement compared with a previous experience.

Clubhouse dirty, toilets disgusting. Inedible meal, silly girl in charge behind the bar/waiting on. What happened? This used to be a great place to frequent. Tried to book for Wednesday but guess what, the chef wanted to be away by 5. Booked for Thursday but felt like a nuisance just for going! They made it obvious we should leave asap, no wonder there no one else there. Won't be going back in a hurry, if at all!

Skipton Golf Club is outside the town of Skipton in a lovely rural setting. There is plenty of parking and the club house is warm, well decorated and welcoming. The restaurant has large windows overlooking the 18th hole and the putting green with wonderful vistas of the surrounding countryside.The large bar and dining room area has low tables at one end for those who want a drink or light meals, with dining tables at the other end for those who want a full meal. There is a standard menu alongside a specials board carrying some additional starters, main courses and desserts.I've eaten here several times - the restaurant is open to non-members - and the food is good quality with decent portion sizes. Service is excellent. The standard menu features the staples - steak pies, slow cooked lamb, gammon, fish & chips, etc - but it is all prepared in-house with local ingredients and it is perfectly cooked. I can especially recommend the home-made apple and sultana crumble with custard - delicious!

The food at Skipton Golf Club is always excellent and my wife,I and our friends eat here on a regular basis. The views of the surrounding countryside from the dining area are fabulous and when this is coupled with a wide choice on the menu it is a great product. The food is presented well and the pricing gives very good value for money, highly recommended.

Well maintained course and great views spoilt by the 1970's style committee member behind the bar. This guy needs a personality transplant and appears to take such gratification as the self appointed rules enforcer, asking VISITORS who don't know there way around to leave the lounge after stepping in with golf shoes as there is no signage to advise otherwise. I have no issue with reasonable rules but there are ways of speaking to people. Clearly lessons needed in diplomacy and respect of the under 30's by this miserable man and if the unwelcoming atmosphere he creates could be addressed, then I'm sure this club will thrive.The pro here is really helpful.

I have eaten many of times up here and it is fantastic! you can go for food even if you don't play golf or aren't a member and the food is lovely and at a very reasonable price. Get yourself down there :)

Andrew is a great chef and his home made Lasagne is to die for.Coupled with Allister's wit and humour plus his delightful Earl Grey tea this club has everything!David Connor

The food and service is excellent. The views are amazing, with great atmosphere in the dining area. The price is very reasonable, with homemade deserts.

Great course, great staff, great pro Peter and some fantastic characters, I mean members. Andy and Allister the catering part of the club is worth a look on its own without the golf!! Have fun FORE!!!!!
