Skippers Fish Bar in Shropshire

Chips nice & staff friendly but not the first time that the fish has been very soggy. Batter undercooked & not good for the cost. Disappointing.

Fine takeaway, huge portions, with some interesting variations. Open later than most fish and chip shops. Would visit again if in area.

This place used to be rancid but as far as I am aware it is now under new ownership so we tried it again and we were pleased with the food. Pizza and kebab meat were both tasty and the chips were well cooked.

Yummy yummy in my tummy would love to come here again such a lovely place food was great the customer service was excellent 👌 it’s such a shame it’s in such a run down neighbourhood the children round there are very frightening as they scared me and my husband away (Jake Purdy)

Turned up around 9pm. 2 kids waiting to be served. Ordered a burger and chips and a fish and chips. Waited 15 mins to be cooked. Only to be served reheated chiosa Nd the worst fish I've tasted!! If it wasn't for the 15 minute drive back I would gone back and complained! No one answythe phone so we could either!! Save your money and go to Bewdley or bridgnorth for chips and fish!!

We were staying in Highly for a week so Skipoers was a must for our ‘takeaway night’ after reading the reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Yes the food is cooked fresh so there is a short wait, isn’t that better than it being sat in a hot cabinet for a while ? We had a large order which the staff put together with no hiccups and we found there were some really good meal deals. If we visit Highly again Skippers will definitely be on our to do list.

Me and my partner have been to the chippy on many occasions together and it is rather a large queue during tea time and towards evenings. I had to say the food there is very nice, well cooked and a really chea prices for a quality dinner! However would have to point out it could do with employing more staff as well.

Can't fault the food or service here, the pizza is delicious as are the fish and chips. Lots of choice to suit all, fast and courteous service.

Well what can I say I used to be regular visitor here however This place has hit rock bottom the last to visits i ordered pizza. the base was not cooked properly and was still doeee But the worse is still to come The oil they use to fry with is absolutely disgusting it's enough to make your eyes water it's more like synthetics it can't be good for you To th owners Stop cutting corners and start using real vegetable out or dripping I'm surprised they haven't been closed down Disgrace of Highley

Called in tonight on our way home for pie and chips... to say the pie was a pie was actually an offence! It was rock hard and congealed inside! Definitely won't be having it again!
