I have been coming to this fab cafe since it opened with my children when they were younger with other mummies and have also used it as a business space. The staff are always really accommodating and since the pandemic have worked really hard to accommodate everyone they can whilst making everyone feel safe and welcome. The food is fantastic and we always recommend it to everyone. Even during a difficult time with the rules changing all the time they are still smiling and making everyone feel very welcome

Prior to lockdown I visited this establishment a handful of times with some friends and our childre; spending a reasonable amount purchasing breakfast or lunch. Following the restrictions we attempted to go to the café as usual and social distance on a separate table but we're informed we would receive a time limit as to how long we could spend as we would be taking up their tables. Whilst I appreciate that it is unfortunately frustrating to have fewer people seated at a table, the same time restrictions were not presented to a man and his young child at one table nor indeed the man and his laptop at another. In summary, we felt rather discriminated against being mothers with young babies and so would be unlikely to return.

Given the relationship with the business next door this may appear a little functional but it works. Good coffee and no fancy dan snaks but filling food! Plenty of room! I like it.

Awful weak coffee, dry food and, worst of all, staff uninterested and just chatting amongst themselves. Much better in the area

Now lived in Cheadle Hulme for a couple of years, but although I've noticed SK8 my first visit. OK sort of cafe, reasonable prices - meal deal (sandwich/fruit and/or yoghurt/pot of tea etc) for £4.95. Nice tuna mayo sandwich, a bit of side salad wouldn't have gone amiss though. Tea-infuser type teapot. Play area for children and seem to follow ethical guidelines with coffee etc. Lots of cafes etc in Cheadle Hulme and every shop that closes seems to be replaced by another eating place, so plenty of competition. But SK8 is the kind of cafe where anyone would feel at home I think.

Called in SK eight for lunch with a friend. Had great lunch of freshly made sandwiches & soup, followed by delicious cake & a large pot of tea. As it was a warm sunny day, we sat outside on the little terrace, which is well sheltered. Good vegetarian options served here. Very good value for money.

We’ve been looking for somewhere new since standards dropped at our previous haunt. SK8 seemed to fit the bill but we were put off today by the sheer number of dogs in the place.

This place is such a mixed experience each time I visit. You cannot fault the decor and the little play area for kids. However the staff are usually lacking in service/personality and the food is complete hit and miss. Often when I order I will be told an item has run out (often avocado), I try not to laugh as they are 10 yards from a greengrocer and a Tesco express so this should never be an issue. You get the feeling they just can't be arsed. They have lost so many food orders due to this but unfortunately I have to keep coming as it is a decent setup for people with young children.

Modern attractive design. I looked for a peaceful cafe to go through emails, etc and this was perfect with the WiFi and also being able to bring my spaniel. Made to feel very welcome and they accommodated my non dairy options. They have a kids area.

I've been in here a few times now: coffee & cake with friends, lunch with the kids, etc., and each time I've been really impressed by the staff. Everyone is so friendly and chatty, there's a real buzz to the place. The café has an inviting, relaxed feel to it, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I particularly love that there is a dedicated area for little ones to play, and you can even take your four-legged friends in too!

I used to like this place and have always wanted to but the rudeness of a previous staff member made me avoid the place. Nice flowers now outside and Grumpy Mule coffee. A great start. Lovely young lady served me and a great scone. Much improved well done.

This cafe has developed a greater menu . Enjoyed bacon roll and decaf coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of space to meet and tables big enough for lap tops. Seems to allow dogs and there’s a relaxed atmosphere.

After my last visit, I have boycotted the place! Why? The attitude of the lady who was supposed to be serving me...Shocking! So today I came back! Just a mid morning coffee and pastry. Now I can't comment of the said person is still with SK Eight but in her absence I was served by a charming lady and had excellent coffee. I do quite like it here!

I had driven and walked past SK Eight many times but had never ventured in. I called in for a coffee and a pastry with our 3 year old Tibetan Terrier Flo and found the staff to be very welcoming, taking the time to fuss Flo and give her a couple of biscuits. My wife and I will certainly visit again with Flo.

Myself, husband, baby and poochy have been here twice now. Once for a doggy show and once for a baby reading. The atmosphere is relaxed, the coffee is beautiful and though we've not sampled the cakes, the cupcakes we've seen look lovely. Service is excellent and very friendly.

I drive past this place a lot and never thought to go in till I spotted the dog friendly sign outside. What a lovely little place, they even have a children's play corner inside. The milkshakes and smoothies are worth a visit alone. I personally would like a slightly wider menu choice for sandwiches, they appear to offer a better menu mid week than at weekends but given the location this is understandable. The drink and sweet selection is excellent though. Worth a visit if you are passing.

I always come in here when I'm on a working from home day and am too lazy to feed myself. They do a fantastic lunch takeaway deal. It gives a lot back to the community, including paying a fair wage to staff and it has ethical coffee - I may be mistaken but I think the meat is free range too. I always get the tuna or cheese toastie and they're consistently good.

Just love this place for brunch or lunch, the lady who runs it is so lovely, she actually remembers me now and how I like my bacon cooked . The food is always freshly prepared, so be prepared to wait if they are busy but it's worth waiting for. My favourite is the pancakes bacon maple and maple syrup mmmmmm.

Very friendly staff and plenty of room. I like the feel of the place. You can spread out and lounge about or you can make it your office for an hour or two. If you want to meet a client there, no better place. Highly recommended for all occasions. Must go back today!

Finally a coffee shop for my dog Bruce and I to enjoy a coffee (the best in Cheadle Hulme btw), cake, water and a biscuit in comfort and warmth. The shop is a little hidden as it is positioned beneath an office building and the smoked glass doesn't help but once you get inside you'll be pleasantly surprised. The staff are welcoming and the food and drink offer is extensive. I'm not a parent but I imagine the children's play area would offer parents a well earned rest.

The menu offers everything you’d expect to see in your average British cafe. Food is always cooked wonderfully.😋 All of the staff are kind and helpful and will do anything to make you comfortable. The coffees are lovely too! The play room at the back is perfect for after you’ve filled your belly! I meet here all of the time with my mummy friends! They have a little gift shop too where you can find kids gifts 👌
