I previously rated the Ashlea a 1 as I was charged for parking. Trip advisor will not let me delete that review, so I can confirm that the Ashlea have ensured that the parking charges have been cancelled and refunded.

Beautiful place and absolutely beautiful food. Ryan was our server and he was very attentive, friendly, polite and professional. The food arrived quickly and the price was really good. Would highly recommend

Went to the Ashlea on February 23rd for my 80th birthday with the family there were 20 of us ,the food was excellent the atmosphere good the young lad that waited on us very good, unfortunately I didn’t get his name

Great little pub, easy parking and the food was delicious! The cottage pie balls were a smash hit!

Wonderful evening meal with family. Looked after so well by Aeron, who is very friendly and he makes us feel welcome and keen to visit again soon. Lovely atmosphere tonight.

Each visit which is quite regular when I am over visiting family, I gather with friends and we always choose the Ashlea due to their attentive staff especially Aeran Levi .who makes our visits extra special with great service and no rushing. Great disabled access as one friend is in a disability scooter

We were a party of 12 and all the food arrived hot and was delicious. First time ever on a Sunday so some had the roasts (yummy) Our server was lovely And was surprised at the price

This pub is always great, the atmosphere wise, especially over Christmas time. Sometimes I come over specifically for the chance to enjoy the fire, beautiful decorations, a nice drink-- it's very festive and lovely. However, this year, the pub was practically empty, sadly. Must be due to the prices, I suspect. I'd still recommend it but I will not visit it as often as I do The didsbury pub.

Lovely pub grub, desert not very good everything else was good

20 of us visited for my dad’s 80th birthday. The food was nice and the service was excellent. Our server Jennah was so friendly and gave us top notch customer service. All the children had a great time and our food came out promptly and altogether. Our drinks were topped up and it was a great atmosphere. Thanks 🤩

Aarons pre 40th party was the best party ever! Drinks where really good price and the buffet food was lovely, the Ashlea was so inviting and the staff where amazing and friendly! I defo recomend here for any parties or functions, Aaron was the best party host ever! Defo 10++stars,

I am always surprised about the quality of the food here as I have a low opinion of chain establishments. Our roast Sunday lunch was excellent as was the service at the pub. The trio of meats on the lunch were all well cooked, tender and not tough at all. Excellent vegetables and roasties. all in all very good and the Ashlea is now certainly on our radar when we want another local Sunday lunch. The terrine we had as a starter was also first class and again we were surprised at how good it actually was.

Jennah was a great server very helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and we really enjoyed our time. it was nice and warm with a lovely atmosphere.

Great food and plenty of it, too. Took the dog which he was allowed on the wooded floor areas.

Great pub chain type food. Very good service and the food (steak) was good too. Nice atmosphere. Prices were reasonable.

Sadly, my meal was quite awful. A steak sandwich. With crispy onions. Massive amount of whole grain mustard, I like mustard, but that was excessive. The crispy onions were a soggy gloomy batter under quite nicely piece of steak. The waitress was lovely and removed my mains from the bill. My husbands fish and chips were really nice.

Food was a bit tepid. However the coffee was good and large. Service was friendly enough. Regarding the parking, I can't understand why, given the location, that they resort to a parking company. Was it a problem before??

Visited the Ashlea on Thursday 7th November to meet up with friends and have a meal. We were served by Ryan and were looked after very well. We chose items from the breakfast menu as we met up early at 11 o’clock (though we later found out we shouldn’t have, as breakfast only served Friday, Saturday and Sunday!). I had the full English, but was disappointed with the bacon, although the rest was fine. My friends both enjoyed their choices. As I’ve already mentioned, Ryan was very friendly bringing our drinks to the table and checking all was well and if we wanted anything further. My friends and I have booked another date next year for a catch up and we will definitely be going back to the Ashlea!

Overall good experience. Food well presented but Steak wasn't the best. Chicken dish was excellent. Pub and Staff were excellent. Worth a return visit

Great Sunday roast! Highly recommend the Rib of Beef. The server, Meg, was really attentive and kind. She deserves a raise.

The Ashlea was one of our favourite places to visit for a family meal, but after a few bad experiences, we stopped visiting. We decided to retry, and we were very disappointed as the place has not returned to the nice place to eat. The food was not as good as we have had at other Chef N Brewers in the area. Food was dry from heat lamps, and over salted. It's a pity the standards of chef n brewer are not seen here.

It's always nice to visit this place. Our waitress Meg went above and beyond to make us happy, not only with table service but also with an issue we had with parking. Meg is a credit to your company and should be highly praised for the effort and professionalism she puts into the job she does. We 100% recommend the Ashlea. Thanks again Meg.

A party of 8 for a 22nd birthday Celebration On Saturday 12th October 2024 at 3pm Service & food were excellent. Good options for vegetarians as we had 3 in our party. We forgot the cake so asked our waitress if a candle could be put into a dessert & this was transformed into a beautiful Happy Birthday Board, thank you very much, great time had by all, we will be back

Came in for a late lunch with the family.I had a roast dinner and it was delicious. We were served by Jennah and nothing was too much trouble. We’ll be back again!!

Nothing special, edible but very fatty turkey the vegetarian meal had problems with not copying the description in the menu

Had a sirloin the garlic butter on top was frozen solid The starter garlic mushroom was devoid of flavour The sweet jam rolls molly was rock hard All in all very poor for the price

Popped in to see if it had changed.very dark inside.drinks are quite expensive and food is overpriced.Fisn and chips £19. Outside area at the back looks quite shabby and the front of the pub needs a kick of paint.

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife & our dog here today, the food was excellent & the staff very polite. We were served by Aeron ( very tall chap well mannered) I think that was his name. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Top notch, excellent service by all the staff especially Aaron who always takes time to say hello.

It's a nice, dog-friendly pub with helpful staff. The main downside as a pub is the beer selection is very lager based. The reason for my rating is that I do not recommend eating here. We ate Sunday lunch and it was genuinely terrible. The roast potatoes were dry and hard, the vegetables were mushy, and the cauliflower cheese was in a seemingly microwaved in a disgusting watery sauce.

Lovely food as usual. Service was excellent. The lamb shank shepherd's pie was devine and the chocolate fondant dessert is to die for.

Came here for a weekend lunch, pleasantly surprised at the menu which was better than our local Greene King. Food was lovely and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come again - bonus that the dog friendly area inside was so big.

Fabulous meal. Service from Ryan and Megan excellent, We had 4 different dishes and each one was cooked to perfection. Only comment - Would have liked a little more peach in the Peach and Brie salad! Will definitely visit again.

We were a family of 14 attending an afternoon meal. The food came promptly and service was impeccable. Ryan and Megan took care of all our needs, regularly checking in with us throughout the meal.

Came on Saturday with family for a meal and as always couldn't fault it! Fish and chips, was delicious! Mixed grill was plentiful and sausage and mash was tasty! Brilliant service from Aeron who was attentive and knowledgeable, price was good, food was fab!

Absolutely love this place! All the servers are so lovely and helpful, i always get the steak sandwich which is amazing. Definitely recommend this place it’s so homely and welcoming and there is many different areas to sit in. Overall lovely environment and great staff!

Food not great, portions small for some meals, quality not up to scratch with some meals especially pie, peas and veg. Beers served were sour and off. When taken back to the bar, no apology whatsoever, bad customer service. Just " what do you want now?". Dark and dingy in a lot of the interior, with damage and repairs needing to be addressed. Expensive for what you actually get and not and enjoyable experience our family party will not be returning.

I came down to surprise my son Aeron ,I was greeted by pleasant friendly staff, they made sure that I had put my car registration was inputted, then they got Aeron for me, he got me some food and a drink, food was good and hot, enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, enjoyed my visit and I will be returning again 👍

Had such a lovely meal-three course's and all was so nicely cooked.Our daughter is gluten free and where so helpful.Would definitely recommend and all the servers so pleasant and went above and beyond.

Food was really tasty but the portion size was lacking. Service was good, not bad not great just good. Atmosphere lacked and was dark and gloomy. It's an old pub but lighting could've been better, especially for a lunch sitting.

Went for Sunday lunch. The beef was very good.

Car park run by Euro Car Parks -signage unclear and no notice obvious at the bar. Invited to a social event and ended up with a £60 ticket! Also took a long time to get served.

Went for Dad's day meal with son and family. Sons starter had plastic wrapper in it . Starter was replaced. my main mushroom pie came stone cold in the middle. The meal was replaced.

Just had another fantastic experience at the Ashlea. This has been a favourite for our family get togethers for many years and it never fails to disappoint! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service (special thanks to Aeron) was A+++

Food was very good. All hot and served to our party of 6 all at same time. Steak was a bit tough but still tasty. We would definately come back. Staff very good, helpful and responsive.

Nice pub (bit dark inside even on a sunny day). Outside seating on the front of the pub (roadside). Beer garden at the back, both terraced and grassed, suitable for dogs. Car park available, you'll need to register your number plate on the screens inside the pub to avoid parking charges.

Pre holiday meal with family. Have been here few times. Food, service, friendly professional staff make it all well worth the visit.

Good food but the service was slooooow. I think they were short handed on the staff. Lovely setting, generous portions of good quality just needs a bit of pep from the crew on shift. We will return.

Aeron has been amazing to me and my family! I have a broken leg and he went above and beyond to get me a stool to rest my knee on and helped when ever he could! Food was amazing cooked beautifuly.

A lovely warm welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff to great and serve you. An amazing verity of food and drink on the menu and they also cater for people who like vegan food. Plenty of parking on site. We was served by Aeron Levi.

Pub was clean and had nice seating outside in the sun, staff were friendly and the service was good. , The mushroom wellington, Yorkshires, veg, onion rings, chips and roasted meat were all lovely. However some of the food was not great, the roast potatoes were rock solid (even for me and i like them crispy) and the signature burger was very dry. The veggie burger was not great either which was disappointing.

Me & my husband had lunch yesterday in which we have not been here for years. Staff very friendly service very good. But our food was not up to standard infact it was the worst food I've ever had. We were so disappointed. I got a full refund with no problem whatsoever, its a shame as its such a lovely pub.

Ordered starters which were lovely. Head waiter came over asked if we wanted to order mains but we only had 20 mins 5 mins later he came back and said we had 2 mins. Felt we were in the way so paid and left
