Berretto Lounge in Stockport

Food and service is all great dogs are allowed which is all great until your eating your tea and one is all over your food. Need to bring in a dogs must be on leads policy.

I’d never come here for tea but I can get a very respectable burger at 10:00am what’s not to like? Having said that the cooked breakfasts a rather good too.

First time there with 4 of us and my dog and will definitely be back. Very good food. Great service and a nice place. We were all impressed.

Ordered a beer through the app, when it came because I didn't have ID, they refused to give me the drink or a refund. When mentioning that I am 27 the waitress seemed very abrupt and wanted to elevate the situation, she was adamant i had to speak to the manager when I just wanted to enjoy my date night. So after speaking to the manager who simply kept repeating their challenge 25 policy to me in what came across rude, there was no different outcome anyway. Perhaps some customer service training could help. I've been here before and ordered alcohol without ID but after how the staff approached the situation, won't be coming back again.

Was greeted and served by a lovely girl called Holly, she couldn’t have done anymore to make me and my family feel welcome ! :)

Absolutely fantastic chill and friends food was amazing as well ( tried both, yes greedy ) I like my food and this place was a real find. Just order and pay at the bar so easy. Great selection of wine as well and fab atmosphere to eat in. Well done will come again

We visit the lounges all over the place, this one really let us down, service was spot on, the server gave us all the different milk options with our tea so we could try them and decide the nicest, so 10 out of 10 for front of house, but the food not so, I had a lounge breakfast today at the Stockport one, sausage was tough, (possibly kept warm too long, or heated up a few times) beans were not fresh, hash browns were undercooked, my wife's were nice, the shakshuka, probably won't go there again. There was two of us, spent around £27, at about 3pm.

My recent visit to Berretto Lounge was overshadowed by several disappointing aspects that significantly impacted the overall dining experience. I had high hopes for a pleasant meal, but unfortunately, encountered numerous setbacks that left me dissatisfied. I opted for the chicken burger, but it arrived with a perplexing temperature contrast—while the exterior was cold, the interior seemed unnaturally overheated, almost as if it had been hastily prepared using a microwave. The inconsistency in temperature and texture indicated a lack of attention to detail in the cooking process. It was evident that the dish had not been prepared to the standards one would expect from a dining establishment. To add to the disappointment, the service at Berretto Lounge was notably slow. It appeared that there were only two staff members serving a seemingly crowded establishment, leading to extended wait times for both service and meals. This lack of adequate staffing greatly affected the efficiency and overall quality of service. The visibly overwhelmed staff struggled to manage the influx of customers, resulting in delayed service and a compromised dining experience. It's regrettable that the management did not anticipate or adequately address the staffing needs, leading to a decline in service quality. While the ambiance of the place was pleasant and had potential, the subpar food quality and slow service overshadowed any positive aspects of the visit. In conclusion, my visit to Berretto Lounge was marred by a poorly executed dish and unsatisfactory service due to inadequate staffing. The incongruity in food quality and the slow service significantly detracted from what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. Until improvements are made in both the quality of food preparation and service efficiency, I find it challenging to recommend Berretto Lounge as a dining destination.

Been here a few times now. Nice atmosphere, good mix of age groups as well. Food nice but small portions. The staff are very friendly as well.

Visited today. Really dire experience overall. 2 x separate orders. First order, for coeliacs, contained 2 x chicken and bacon dish. We had to send both dishes back as they weren't remotely hot. Manager returned and told us they should have tested the temperature with a prong but they "forgot". Inexcusable. Fair play, they did replace them both and they returned hot but the dish wasn't pleasant and I left more than half of mine. Chicken tasted rank. Second order from same table took over half an hour to come. Pizza and a baguette, half an hour, and not busy. Terrible. Sweet potato chips were freezing. Manager came again and was told. She felt them and agreed they were cold. Again, these were swapped and did return hot. We were given free coffees and deserts as a means of apology. Not a pleasant experience which is such a crying shame as we are regulars in Urmston and Manchester. The Lounge chain is usually a good experience, this was so poor. We won't return to the Stockport branch again.

Food was very slow coming, and it was cold when it arrived. The manager was really great and got everything sorted out immediately though with fresh, piping hot replacement dishes; I'm sure this was just a one-off, and I would recommend.

I come here often, usually once every other week as I have a cinema membership to the Light next door and the service has always been 10/10. The staff are lovely, the food is good and they have a great selection for my friend who has a gluten allergy. Highly recommend!

Just for a quick bite of garlic bread with cheese and a pint before the film in the local cinema, and snacks and a pint before going home by bus. While munching I had done some crosswords and sudokus, so it was a great evening out by myself! 😃👍

The staff are absolutely lovely here! One staff member in particular who I imagine must be the floor manager was extremely helpful, she went out of her way to make sure me and my little boy were taken care of. I was having a stressful day, and her level of care and attention towards us made a huge difference. The atmosphere feels sophisticated but low key, which definitely helped chill me out a bit too (and the nice selection of draughts 😂). Glad I chose to stop here. Highly recommend.

We visited Berretto Lounge on Sunday morning. It was a beautiful place. Great atmosphere, nice and spacious, very well decorated to create a calm, chilled vibe and ambiance, but… When we arrived we didn’t get the warmest welcome. We asked if we could put 2 tables together for the 6 of us. This was declined for whatever reason. We then found a table near the door. We ordered our food, which was great. However, one of the friends the had a hair in their beans. The meal was sent back, a refund given along with a gift voucher to spend at any lounge in the country. A nice place. Great food, despite the unfortunate hair and a great atmosphere, but would be hesitant to visit again. 💫

Lovely restaurant, which allows dogs, located in the centre of Stockport town centre next to the light cinema, lots to choose from on the menu. Service was quick, and staff were polite and friendly.

The food here was okay, we had the tapas and most of it was really good. However the garlic flatbread really didn't taste of garlic at all. The cocktails were good though, as were the shots!

This is my second time visiting the lounge, first time I visited in Altrincham branch and I have enjoyed it. Unfortunately the Stockport branch did not left a great impression on me. The food was average but more concerning was the poor staff customer service. The staff are unfortunately not able to communicate properly with their guests and use good manners. No-one will approach at any point to ask if you are okay or even on arrival they didn’t say hi when arrived, when serving food they just put it on the table without saying a single word. Moreover, we were disgusted by the male waiter who holds plates and servers food with huge fake nails.

First time visit with my family. We had 2 lounge english breakfasts and pancakes. Liked the vibe and space, the food ordering was via an app which was great. Drinks came to us in a few mins which was very good. Food took longer, we waited around 30 mins, but it was very tasty and well cooked with premium produce. My only small dislikes were that you only got one small slice of toast on the full english breakfast, which I would normally expect 2, espeicially when paying just under £10. Drinks were priced ok, we had 2 teas and a cherry cordial. However we always have orange juice with our breakfasts, but the cost of a large (16oz) glass was £5.50ish, which was very expensive, I normally would expect to pay around £3.50 tops. Service from staff was very good and professional, would come back again.

Really nice place with great quality food. The pricing is a bit dearer than I expect, but you do get quality items. Service was speedy too.

The lounge’s are good, you know exactly what you’re getting in terms of vibe and atmosphere. Staff always super friendly and attentive. I find the food is quite expensive in relation to portion size, and I think you’re expected to bulk out your main with expensive sides - £3-4 for brocoli etc.

Lovely place to get a bite. The bonus is that you can scan the QR code and order and pay straight from your table. In this day and age, where time is at a premium, it is a god send. I will definitely return.

Great service and really lovely staff. And the cocktails...all fabulous, although the Elderflower Spritz was my absolute favourite - sooo good! Definitely recommended 💯

Has gone downhill . It’s fine if you just want to lounge with a drink, coffee or tea but I wouldn’t eat here . First of all it’s “dog friendly “ so you have to be prepared to dine with dogs, also they have a habit of serving tepid food . The place could do with a good deep clean . Example , the creases of the seats and sofas are crammed with crumbs etc . They also need to give the staff a decent clean uniform instead of just schlepping around in anything they like . Good points .. a great space , great decor and vibe and all staff are pleasant and friendly . Get some decent chefs in , serve food fresh and hot , deep clean the place and it’ll be so much better .

First visit at the beginning of July. Great place. Seemed very relaxed with a varied menu to choose from and all reasonably priced. All our food was served nicely presented and hot.

Well prepared food....after a little confusion...very tasty and good value. Staff were very helpful.

I definitely feel like the breakfast isn’t as good as it used to be. The waitress used to let me substitute some of the items on the breakfast however now they do not. So paying £10 for just eggs, toast, bacon and hash brown doesn’t seem justifiable. The eggs I received was covered in pepper and was still gooey.

Never had so many gluten free options before! Haven't been able to have a restaurant quality burger in years and it was delicious.

Such a nice place. I've been twice now, once in the evening and once at breakfast. The atmosphere is chill, but upbeat, the food is fantastic for the price and there is a great selection. Friendly staff round off the positives, cannot recommend enough.

Took my dog here whilst waiting for my car to be serviced & MOT at Mazda Stockport whilst on holiday in High Peaks, we were made very welcome from all staff.

Got to say we were disappointed on our first visit. Ordered the Gori Nasang which, when it arrived was lukewarm and tasteless. Also, we were given the wrong wine (which was corrected after another visit to the bar and having to wait). Ordered deserts and coffee. The coffee was almost cold when it arrived and a second attempt at it was only lukewarm. Sorry Berretto Lounge is not for us and we won't be returning.

Been coming to Berretto Lounge for the best part of two years. A punt taken one time when going to the Cinema. It’s now one of my Girlfriend and I’s go to place. Especially every Wednesday the last couple of months for our weekly date/quiz night! All staff are lovely and welcoming, the place is always clean and the decor is super quirky and cute. The fact it’s also dog friendly is a bonus for us cause we love to see all the Doggo’s that come along! Thank you for always making us feel welcomed, each and everytime we turn up!

Wouldn't go anywhere else for a family brunch. Regularly visit with our toddler and dog - we are always welcome and allergies are catered for extremely well. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Great place for a Full English, and really easy to order through via QR code (or go up to the counter) and add/remove items. Plenty of seating, with an outdoor area. Great atmosphere where the music isn't too loud. Friendly staff. Child friendly.

I had lunch here today and the service was spot on. Jonny was very attentive and couldn't do enough for me. Pulled brisket chilli was great.

Good place to stop off for a quick bite and a drink 🍸

Second time here after a poor service a few weeks ago. It was a bit quieter today and service was better, however, we asked for a couple of plates of tapas to come out first but all the food came out together. Food was tasty, well cooked and spicy where it should be. Staff were polite but didn't really engage other than to take your order and clean your table. No chat or smiles. We had a couple of cocktails that were very nice but my Espresso Martini had a better head than my previous pint of beer. A nice place to grab a tasty dish or two but you will need to bring your own atmosphere.

Pub grub but a longer wait. To be honest, the food was OK, definitely not anything spectacular, definitely not hot when it arrives and definitely not worth the cost. But they made a good coffee (well the machine did).

Ok food, although some items didn't arrive until we'd finished our meal. It was a bank holiday weekend and the restaurant looked under staffed. On the plus side, very clean and nice vibe.

Love the berretto lounge. Always come here when in Stockport for food and drink. This place is reasonably priced and the food is lovely. Both the tapas and the normal meals are very nice. Will always recommend.

Almost spoilt for choice on options if you're dining here, very large food and drink menu that is almost guaranteed to be able to feed anyone in your party. Your wait time can vary from a quick 20 minutes wait to sometimes 45 minutes which isn't great if you are eating before watching a movie. Never had an issue with staff here and they are quick to sort out extras\utensils\ect. All around a good choice to come if you fancy something other than pizza before watching a movie.

Checked in with my daughter post cinema 21st Feb, great place. Having been to a few lounges before this one is right up there. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional, makes you comfortable straight away. The food arrived in good time and didn’t disappoint, daughter goes mad for the Mac and Cheese 👌 It is also spotlessly clean which is really noticeable. Will definitely be back next visit to Stockport 👍

The food is always lovely here, the staff are also very friendly and welcoming. The building isn't built very well to accommodate a lot of people so it can feel quite claustrophobic if you sit inside, and the ceilings are high so you can hear a lot of noise from the other visitors and staff in the kitchen. Overall lovely place, I come here with my partner often
