Visited this place several times and the food is consistently good! The place is always busy but the manager (I think he’s called Safraz) is always really attentive and makes sure we get a table as soon as possible. The sizzlers are huge and always really filling- they come with chips, rice and a choice of noodles or pasta- I went for noodles and was not disappointed. I had vegetable Manchurian to start and it was amazing, spicy and saucy just how I like it. The garlic naan was so fresh and tasty too. It’s the perfect place to go and eat on a cold winters night when you want a hearty delicious meal. Safraz manages the restaurant well and isn’t afraid to get stuck in and do the work as well as his staff. All the staff are really friendly and on hand to serve you more drinks, breads throughout. Will definitely be visiting again!

Fantastic place. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was very nice. We ordered Paneer Szechuan sizzler, and the Veg Manchurian was the best we’ve had outside of India. The place was very well managed, and we were welcomed very well my Mr. Safraz who was so friendly and attended to our every need. The place is extremely busy, but all customers seemed satisfied and were enjoying their experience. Mr. Safraz, you’re a credit to Sizzling Palate and we look forward to travelling from far to visit the place again!

This place serves you a long painful death, the amount of oily greasy colurries I have brought knowing this. Plain nan 3quid, get over yourself ! You know who, what pathetic excuse are you going to come up with this time. Take advantage of your customers.

would not recommend it at all. when asked for salt on the chips, he said “we don’t put salt on the chips”, R U serious!!!! we were half way into eating our meal and still no drinks provided, until we asked for the drinks. expensive, tasteless, oh and forgot they don’t do salt.

It was awful 3 of our palates had hair in it was horrible experience. The staff wasn't helpful they was rude when told them about it his response was it isn't my hair.

We decided to go sizzling palette 14 of us and sadly I’m the service was very poor it wasn’t even that busy. We had to keep asking for eating plates glasses and the 2 guy waiters didn’t have a clue about anything. We were told there were not enough plates and they were being washed? Seriously it’s a restaurant and not enough eating plates?? We had to ask 3 times for the plates abd glasses too. We ordered karai lamb n there was more masala than meat which I thinks wrong especially after what they charge you. But the sizzlers were lovely even though they all didn’t come together as we wanted.. there isn’t much customer service or hospitality if I’m being honest. It just felt like eat, pay up and go.

Group of friends, work get together. Arrived to no real table set up for 15, even though booked before hand. No offer of water. No condiments, no cutlery. Food starts to arrive from pre-orders few days before. Still no cutlery. Had to ask. Food cold was sent back. No salt or pepper. Food was so bland and dry once reheated couldn’t wait to leave. Only thing nice was my friends chips which I kept pinching from his plate. Will not be returning to this place again.

Better places out there overprice, tried to charge bottle of water when ask for tap water, foods dry tasteless

My experience was terrible. Ordered a couple of sizzlers and king prawn starters and lollipop chicken.. the prawns were not long prawns and like 2 cm long and u get 5 for a tenner lol!!! The lollipop chicken is just niblets! Lol ! When I spoke to a waiter and all waiters are like kids or can’t speak English.. he did not return to update me on my complaint about the so called prawn starter as the prawns were covered in batter and some were mostly empty, when I asked him again he advised that the manager just said ok .. so basically I spoke to the manager when he came downstairs and he was so rude and disrespectful he offered me 2 prawns lol!!! What an idiot! The price definitely does not reflect the food and I would avoid this place like the plague.. £100 meal felt like £20 meal

Sizzling Palate is the best place in Bolton to eat and there is no negotiation for that. Their queue was 45 minutes long on Mothers' Day but it was worth it in the end. Their soup was extremely lethal! I think they have changed their menu since like, last year Their Schezuan Sizzler was amazing like always...

The fact that this place charges for tap water says it all... appalling. First time i have ever experienced this anywhere in the world.

I Went with family members and it was very disappointing. Waiter wasnt very experienced and that is ok. But with food coming out very late compared to others and correct cutlery not offered it seems very rushed. BIGGEST problem I saw was food came to our table that was not for us and then was sent to another table. Something in this current climate is a huge breach of health and safety regulations. I would ask for it again if it came to my table from another table. This place needs to get with the times. Poor customer service and shortcuts dont work.

We went here for a birthday meal with a table booked for 5, we waited outside till 5.10 as the restaurant was closed and didn’t open in time to fufill our reservation. The menu looks great a lot of food for the price you pay but the food quality is not there. I got a sirloin steak and it wasn’t a sirloin the meat was so chewy some of my chips were hard and raw and the peppercorn sauce had a skin on top so was clearly re heated. All 3 people I ate with had the same opinion. I would not recommend at all. Don’t understand how the restaurant is constantly full.

Was out on a anniversary meal with my wife and thought we’d try sizzling palate again as we’ve not been for a couple of years. As usual it seemed a good idea at the time then you ask yourself why did I come here when you get there. Slow service with those serving being immature and unprofessional. I ordered special lamb sizzler and I was totally disappointed. I tend to give the benefit of doubt when it comes to food and don’t complain but this was horrible. When you can’t cut through lamb pieces with a steak knife easily you know you’re in trouble. I could practically blow bubbles when chewing that meat. I’m not sure they were bothered when I told the owners son this he blamed new meat suppliers for the issue. This place is going down hill quick and if the owners don’t want to change then good riddance.

It’s was supposed to be a nice evening dining with friends for a birthday. First , it took about walking around the restaurant to find a table, waited too long to get served. The orders were not taken properly and they chose to ignore our advise on how best to take orders so it doesn’t get mixed up which it did. I found hair in my food which instantly put me off eating my food. And now for the big part. We get the bills and we noticed that the prices on the bills were higher than that on the menu so we get the manager and he told us that we had the old menu but funny thing is all the menu were the same, then it offered us a discount but that didn’t even cut down to what we were supposed to be paying. Then he gave us another bill which was still higher meanwhile some of us were getting frustrated and wanted to just pay and leave which was the restaurant’s plan because they took so much time in providing the right bill. It took until several negotiations even speaking to the owner on the phone that resulted in providing the right billing and you could tell that this is what they do because a lot of people don’t calculate the bills they just pay so they get away with scamming people, charging way too much extra on the bills. So if you do go there please ensure you’re calculating your bill before paying for it

Terrible service and attitude from managers. So rude and abrupt. The food was disgusting, the place was not clean at all. The managers could not careless about the quality all they care about is the lonely. The other employees were just stood at the counter...

Absolutely disgusted with customer service, quality of food and managers can’t be arsed attitude. £130 and I couldn’t eat mine. The whole sizzler was over spiced, the lamb tasted awful and chewy and was that spicey you couldn’t taste anything. This place has gone downhill

We ordered two lamp chops sizzling, it was the worst lamp chops I have ever eaten.!! I do not recommend it to anyone. I won’t come back again.

We booked our table in advance and still We had been waiting for for over an hour to be seated and had not even been checked up on Service is not good at all here and even other customers have agreed with us. Not happy...

Smokey place and unflavoured food. They got our orders wrong and the owner wasn't apologetic at all. Infact he said every think was OK and that it was us. Terrible

Appalling service and amateur staff! If the Owner of the place is around and the service was this bad I would hate to know what it would e like if he was not around. Starters never arrived and sizzler given without sauce would I go...

Rubbish service did not have half the starters we wanted sizzlers came out cold and management did not have the Courtesy to deal with it ! Would not recommend!

Beautiful sizzler! This place never disappoints. You always know the food here will be on point and value for money. Customer service is always good as the staff are very attentive. Social distancing on point also. Must visit!

I came to Sizzling Palate today 26/08/2020 and knowing it was the 50% off day I was dreading the que which wasn’t that bad and the service and the food were outstanding. As always neither did the food or service fault in any way, shape...

Wait was not long food came about 30 minutes after we sat down really enjoyed it big quantity and staff were funny always smiling and cheerful despite how busy. Would definitely recommend!!! Maurice x

There is absolutely no social distancing. No one there takes any precaution. I’ve seen a server putting straws in the drinks with their bare hand holding the tip that will touch our lips. They even forgot our order so we had to wait for an hour minimum at the table to get our food. When I went to pay and told them about my experience, the lady at the desk was blaming me instead for taking advantage of the eating out to help out scheme. More like they are taking advantage by shoving as many people as they can inside and then creating a mess. Very unsatisfied and upsetting.

Went yesterday for the 50% discount. Waited for 1 and half hour in que then finally got seat and had to wait another 45 min for order to arrive. Poor management and lacking organisation to accommodate deal days. Shockingly Off putting, never again!!

Me and my family visited sizzling palate in hope for a lovely time and amazing yummy food first of all when we visited we stood in the que line as expected but on ly after 45 minutes of standing my auntie was finally told that we had to right our names on a paper which a worker was carrying but god knows what he was doing and why he didn’t approach us and say excuse me you need to sign up and we will give you a time so 45 minutes was wasted in a que line for nothin and then after about 3 WHOLE HOURS we finally got let in but no we still waited 1 hour for the food also mr mystery was VERRRY rude and I was thinking where the hell is the customer service he was very aggressive and had a MASSSSSIVE gob which he wouldn’t stop using where did it say anywhere that you had to sign up and it will take 4 HOURS also who told us don’t recommend never go 0/10 never will me and my family ever be coming back

meat was HORRIBLE AND UNCOOKED whole meal was 3/4 bone, and was tasteless, you’d think the rice, noodles, peppers, sauce would substitute the flavours but no, their just as bland and tastelesscustomer service was meh, except the time when we asked for coke with no ice, ( the jug came with ice filled to the top) the food did not look appetising at all, if your looking for a nice spot to waste money and stay on the toilet for a day this is the place for you !

The worst and most awkward staff ever. Won’t be returning any time soon. The guy is extremely rude by staring at you when you’re eating and giving dirty looks. Change your attitude with customers it’s disgusting

Food was amazing however did not feel welcome at all. They stood around staring at us whilst we were eating our food making us feel uncomfortable! We went during rush hour time so around 3ish, there was only us and another customer it was not busy and they wanted to close up i'm assuming to collect their children? They started closing up, closing windows, shutters and doors and then rushed us out when we finished.

Lovely restaurant, amazing food - incredibly large servings!!! Who knew that chips, rice and pasta all on one plate was even a thing??! Staff were friendly, environment is really nice. Highly recommended!

Went to eat with my wife and kid in the afternoon. It was pretty quiet, we were welcomed very nicely and seated with care and respect. We ordered our food which came within 10-15 mins and my wife's order was wrong, it had a mix of chicken and lamb when we only ordered lamb for her. I told the manager who i believe is called sarfraz, who checked the bill and said we ordered a mix which we didn't as my wife is currently put off chicken due to being pregnant. He said he will sort it and asked my wife if she wants it changing or can he just bring extra lamb, my wife said she wants it changing as she doesn't eat chicken, he had a face on and walked off in a moody strop! 5 mins later the food comes out and he brings it to the table, looks like the same dish with chicken taken out and lamb added in, fair enough! But again when the manager puts it down not once did he say sorry or enjoy or anything. We had ordered cheese as an extra side which never came so i got up again to ask for it to which he said he will send it, i also asked for Ketchup he said take a seat and we will bring it out to you. Within a minute a stuck up slapped faced female waitress comes to the table with cheese and slams it on the table and walks off not having said anything and no ketchup. Im not one to complain so i left it neither was i going to get up once again, its not my style. We continued to eat and the food was really nice we all enjoyed. I went over to pay all the staff were there near the till not one of them including the manager said anything, no apology or ask how the food was, all stood with a face on, the guy dealing with my payment again had a face on barely talking so i did the same i didn't thank them as they didn't thank me. Whilst stood to pay a guy sat behind us had got up to come and ask for his cheese Which they didn't bring out. We were walking out and the manager walked right past us and blanked us, fair enough it expected. We get to the exit door and the female waitress is cleaning the exit door windows, she stops for us, turns around and my 3 year old daughter looks at her, she gives my 3 year old a dirty look! So i gave her one back and walked out without saying anything! Checked the receipt when we got home and they had charged us extra for the mix lamb/chicken when we never ordered. So when i read reviews like manager sarfraz is a angel, no no no, its all rubbish, him and most of his staff members bar one are all stuck up, moody and have no customer service skills. Safe to say i wont be going back their again.

I haven’t visited this place in a few years but my friends has decided to go to this restaurant so I thought why not. There was three of us in total but one was running late. We sat down waiting for her and after a while a manager had come to say people are waiting how long is your friend going to be. He wanted us to lose our table to give to customers that were waiting after us. They hadn’t booked so he can’t possibly kick us off ours. Anyway I told him she’ll be here soon. After 5 mins he returned saying the same thing. That is so rude and then began to argue and then he had backed off slightly. This is very unprofessional we are paying for our food and you are getting our custom so what is the issue. I don’t know if he’s stressed or losing his marbles but he can’t just come up to us and kick us off our table. He has no manners whatsoever and I won’t be returning

Customer since 2010 and every time went there receive brilliant service and food last time it was re-union of 20 mates was wonderful experience.specially manager was down to the earth person makes everything right and on time. I will 100% recommend this place. Ask for manager sarfraz and than you no need to worry about anything. Thumbs up guys keep it up.

Wow...!! What a wonderful experience.... THANKS TO THE MANAGER MR. SARFARAZ I’m a repeat customer of Sizzling Pallate and coming to this place over 10 years....! And In these last 10 years not even once i have been let down by sizzling Pallate every time I come with friends and family Its been a brilliant experience I’m an artist and go around the globe for singing and tried millions of restaurants but sizzling Pallate customer service is on point may be because it’s in my hometown this evening I visited sizzling platte again with my Mrs. And once again they looked after us specially the Manager is very helpful and a brilliant person every time I visit this place I noticed he’s very loyal to his job and passionate, thank you so much for looking after us..... will come again.....

Went to Sizzling Palate with group of friends. The place was mad busy and I don't get it !!. Ordered steak sizzler which arrived an hour after ordering. I put that down to the restaurant being busy. When the food finally arrived, the oval sizzling plate was piled high with chips, noodles and vegetables with slabs of meat on top. The steak was over cooked and therefore hard. If you enjoy QUANTITY rather than QUALITY, this is the place for you and you will happily give it a 5 star review. On the positive note, the waiters were excellent

I had booked a table for 8pm, and arrived punctually. Upon arrival my not my family were greeted. We awaited for a period of time and then I had to mention to a waitress behind the counter in regards to my booking. The whole point of a reservation is to not wait upon arrival. We were seated at a small table and felt quite caustophobic. 10 minutes into eating our main courses, I found a hair in my sizzilier. I informed one of the waiters, he removed the sizzilier from my table and showed the manager. No remorse, no apology. We were ignored. I awaited for 30 mins to see if any staff member would inform me on what was going to happen about the reported hair I had found in my food or if an alternative would be brought out. Not a single staff member came to communicate with us. I then asked for the bill; and finally the manager told me that ANOTHER SIZZILER WAS BEING PREPARED FOR ME. And he had added extra charges for the first sizziler on my bill.I told him that his level of service was disgusted and I was mortified that I had found a hair in my food, and nobody had come to justify themselves. Food hygiene levels are disgraceful. The manager, Safraz, looked extremely confused and gives the role “manager” a shame. He had no customer service skills, so I didn’t expect anything of his staff either. Whilst I was speaking to Safraz, he still didn’t show remorse, just pure attitude. Every waiter, including the chefs, came to stand besides my table whilst I spoke to safraz. I felt intimidated. I was then given dirty looks and death stares by the waiters, please find a picture for reference. My family and I travelled from Greater Manchester for this meal for my Mother’s birthday and this incident ruined the whole meal. I am disgusted with this restaurant and had high expectations. AVOID THIS PLACE

Love this place! Food is amazing 10/10 all the staff are well mannered kind ready to help and constantly checking to make sure your comfortable.Needless to say the palates are sizzling how so can get very steamy which adds to the fun!!! The main seating area is very tight and cramped which can be awkward with little babies who enjoy their nursery rhymes or like to throw food around (my LO) Only other downside is the parking is a nightmare there are a few streets u can park in close by but the actually ncp car park is down a hill or a bit of a walk away which is really inconvenient in rain and cold.

Been here a few times now and ive enjoyed it everytime, massive portions, fair price, great atmosphere

Staff are fantastic, and nothing is too much fir you, but will definitely be be coming back, plates are big, and I shared a meal as simply could not be eat a full plate to myself

I went here with 2 small children and waited an hour for my food to arrive, whilst others who came after me ordered the same and got their food before me. After asking waiters twice I decided I would take it up with the manager who clearly needs training in customer service as I didn't even get an apology. So my meal out on Saturday night was a waste of time and money as the children were too tired and fed up by the time it arrived therefore didn't eat much.

Waited 30 minutes to get a seating. We placed the order straight away and waited an hour for the food..very appalling service is really bad wouldn’t advise anyone to go there Il stick to Toros instead .. unreal never seen a service like this before just awful. Never waited this long for food. Flat drinks.asked for ice the waiter said his making the ice I thought what!! Next minute I see them taking an ice bag out of the back bought from supermarket so don’t know what ice there making. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one. Absolutely appalling

I’ve been to this place a few times and I love my steak. It’s the third time I asked for a Rib Eye steak and was told they haven’t got it. This isn’t a coincidence but clearly you don’t do it anymore and need to update your menu. I asked the waiter if they steak had finished, or if they haven’t got any and he replied haven’t got any!

Save yourself and go elsewhere. Table booked for 8.15 seated at 8.00. We thought great this is going really well. But that was the best of it. Had to ask on 3 occasions for a waiter to take our order, waited 45 minutes for starters- 1 plate of chicken lollipop (4 pieces) again had to ask for the manchow soup which came when the chicken lollipop had all been eaten. At this stage kids had filled themselves up with the drinks and so had the adults.

Absolutely fuming!!! Came here early on a sunday evening for around 6.30 waited over an hour and still waiting almost 1.5 hours! Absolutely ridiculous have never waited so long in all my life for a table in any restaurant. Atrocious organisation and im very very disappointed. Have travelled almost 35miles for a meal and Will not be visting again! Hugely disappointed and will no longer be recommending this place again. Still waiting for a table as i write...

Our previous visits have been peppered with poor service, wrong orders, toilets where you have to wipe your feet on your way out......but.....

Just came from sizzling palate in Bolton what a joke of a restaurant service was terrible added an extra steak on the bill. When I explained they charged for an extra steak the waiter said it was definitely the right amount of steaks I explained to him that £15 was not going to break my bank account he then went to the kitchen and showed me a receipt from the kitchen said our kitchen staff are adament it was correct when I told him that you was putting things on our table which weren't ordered. they weren't admiting their fault eventually i couldn't be bothered to argue paid the bill and left would not recommend any one to go here if you are in Bolton.

We came to this restaurant from london upon recommendation, in a group of 16 people.

We were seated within 10 minutes and order taken within 5 minutes. When we ordered no one said it will take up to 1 hour or we wouldn't have waited. The food came.....the chicken special sizzler had what looked like a tub of cut raw chillies ( approx 10) emptied on top...how is one supposed to eat that. I had to ask 3 times and wait a good ten minutes after my sizzler came for the munchurian sauce. Our naan never came. The food has gone down. Chicken portion on top of the sizzler is alot less. There are no carrots..mangetout ..mushrooms in the vegi noodles...there is a small amount of peas and sweetcorn. Chips , rice and noodles look plain with chicken plonked on the top.

I love this place, never had an issue with food I have never been disappointed. However the manager is just so rude! Unless you know him or his family he’s incredibly rude. The staff are treated horribly by him which as a customer makes me uncomfortable! When we first arrived he was annoyed that we hadn’t pre-booked then told us to wait 40 minutes, we ended up sitting on the exact table we’d been watching for 40 minutes that was empty but I think this was him making a point to us that we should have pre-booked. He pressurised the staff to clean our table (one of my friends hadn’t even finished) and then stared at us whilst we were sat there. He also doesn’t know how to treat customers as he didn’t say a word to me whilst I was paying. It’s such a shame because the place has awesome food but the manager needs to lean some professionalism. It’s typical of a gujoo though so I’m not surprised.

Delicious food and friendly service at affordable price. The sizzling dishes are a must try for the good fusions which sets the food at another level.

Visited the restaurant which I have been to before, I booked the table In advance and it’s something I would recommend you do every time you go. After dealing with the horrendous parking situation we got our table within 5 minutes of arrival. The food was good as usual however, it felt like we were squashed in. The tables are close to each other and it’s hard to get out. Added to that the noise levels from the packed in customers making the ambience leaving a lot to be desired. Went to pray upstairs and couldn’t get in as a woman was sat their holding it for her family. Maybe a separate men’s and women prayer might be better. I ended up praying in a corner on the top floor next to customers who were eating. I’m not sure sizzling palate can ever really count itself anything more than an average restaurant that feeds the masses.

Went here for the first time after friends recommended the sizzlers. The place was very full and so loud (with conversation) we could hardly hear each other. We had booked a corner table the day before and also confirmed on the day over the phone that we would require a corner table (due to one of us wearing a veil) and when we arrived there was no corner table saved for us.

Service is very slow, the food came out hot but it was very bland and oily. Idea of an Indian cuisine is to have the flavours bursting through the food. It was boring and I wouldn't even recommend anybody to go to "try it and see what you think." It'd be a waste of their time and money.

Visited here tonight for a celebratory meal . Was very busy waited around 15 mins for a table which isn’t too bad for a Saturday night . The food was good although the beef strips sizzler was very very chewy ! The lamb steak was delicious and the chicken steak was also good . The chips were not great seemed like they were soggy and not fresh.Noodles and rice and chips with the meat piled on top may appeal to some but for me was a bit sloppy and seemed like a huge portion of food for one person . We ordered 4 grills and only one of us actually finished so if you don’t eat a lot then definitely share one grill between two people.I would recommend this place .

Whilst the food can keep people coming back the service leaves much to be desired. The staff are often untrained and constantly changing with replacements also not able to serve people whose first language is english.

We booked a table for 7:30, when we arrived we joined a long queue and were not seen to for about 10 minutes. We tried to get the attention of someone to let them know we had arrived and were told we would be sat down in 5 minutes. We were sat at a table at 7:50 next to the window which was very cold.

I give this place a two-star rating because I have not tried everything on their menu.

This place is fantastic,no alcohol license but don't worry because the food is so good you won't even think about a drink, all I can say is visit asap it is brilliant

- No tap water which is a mistake many restaurants seem to make. I automatically disregard a restaurant and don't go again if they do not serve tap water.

Visited recently for the first time as recommended by friends. We all ordered the sizzlers. They where tasty and huge, (defo wont be leaving hungry). Only criticisms i have is only 2 people per table can pay on card, was 6 of us and we all wanted to pay separate using debit cards, which made paying awkawrd.

Dragged back here for a works doo. My colleagues insisting it’s fantastic… it isn’t, they won’t serve water, although still water is available at a charge, it’s just tap water for a quid. The food was aweful and the waiters whom all seem under the legal working age were tasked with navigating tiny pathways with ‘sizzling plates’ inches above peoples heads. It was surreal, imagine Baldrick time porting to the 21st century and deciding to be the head chef at a restaurant owned by Alan partridge and you get the idea…

Visited here with friends on a Friday night. Lively and a full house in a smallish restaurant. However there was more space downstairs that wasn’t open. Service was excellent. The portions are huuuuge. You do not need a starter. Food was nice but it stays hot because of the sizzling plate...

I have been to Sizzling Palate a few times and always enjoyed it; it’s overpriced for what it is but that’s not my issue. Yesterday, 5 of us went for a girly night out. The food itself was tasty at the time - we did ask for tap water and were told they don’t do tap water to which I asked, “well, when you open the tap, what comes out?” - money making which is ridiculous given the fact their food isn’t the cheapest! However, again I digress, as this isn’t really the issue. Fast forward to the next day and all 5 of us who went have had stomach cramps and diarrhoea. We all had different meats on our sizzlers so this makes no sense but whatever it is, it’s certainly put me off going back again!

Went here with friends and family on Saturday night. Had good food, good service. Loved the extra sauce as most places charge extra!

Ordered mix grill looked like one big mess, some of the photos on here are revolting. Looks like food which someone has brought back. No eye contact with customers. Charged us £6 for a small jug of coke poured from a £1 bottle. No hot water in the toilets and no heating on. We left our food, really we should not have aid for it, not thanks or good bye don't know how this place gets customers.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s local to me so used to go a lot until I found out they served me food with gluten in even tho I have an allergy to it and this was always specified before ordering.

Went out on a friends and family, ordered food and was told by waitor that the food will be great, I ordered T-bike Steak with noodles and egg on and brother had othered chicken with cheese on. Once the food came they egg was on the t-bone. I had told the manager and he used my spoon and put the egg back on my t-bone and also transferring some of his chicken!!!!

The food was nice and the decoration was very unique. The only downside was that the entrance was packed and there was no place to sit and wait..

Too any 1 that wants smell like they been cooked and have itchy eye and coughing out before u get ur food use the basement .... don’t have enough ventilation for or scared to use it due to noise...:: had to tell them got kids and choking away and my self too..:: staff said it normal... wtf no way.... asked can we get jug or tap water they said we don’t do it .... only sell still bottle had to tell him get that.... took a long time and kids screaming heads off....the staff weren’t best please when I said tell ur manager about water and should provide it....got it after 20 mins ....: when I went to pay bill he didn’t charge me for a mock tail but added on to a friend bill who had already paid without checking and getting charged for things he order like extra sauces too which he didn’t ask for and was put on his table..... i mentioned missed out mocktail he said u 2 sort out between u.... I said ok will do but if for the inconvenience do something on my bill round it by -75p and I can give full £5.... said can’t do that.... iv charge we can’t refund.... this is the manager robbing extra Charging and not listening to conversation ....

Been here numerous times and I have to say that last night was one of the best meals we’ve had. Seem seemed to be attentive when normally most of them don’t know what day it is. Food came out quick and was nice. My only issue was that the restaurant was freezing. We arrived at 6:45 and asked one of the waiters if they could put the heating on and he said that it was on and had been for 6 hours which is just pure rubbish. It made us feel uncomfortable and had to wear our coats whilst eating.

Food is served too hot. You have to battle the smoke for a few minutes and then it’s too hot to eat. Quality is not good either. Ordered mix grill. Amount for meat is not good value. Just loaded with rice and noodles. Very few chips.

we come to Sizzling Palate as a family on a regular basis. I called to book a table for 7pm and was told by the manager to not be late as they are busy. We arrived at 6.55pm and had placed our order by 7.10pm.

I had mixed grill it was ok but should of had chicken , no meat on the lamb chop it was all bone . Tasted ok but I don’t understand why people would give it 5 stars Restaurant is nice though, service was fine but we went Thursday lunch so hardly anyone in .

Lovely food, large portions, i asked for small and still struggled to eat it all. It got a bit loud downdtairs and a bit smokey off the sizzlers but its not a problem. Will be back for sure

The place it self is lovely, but when your waiting you can see staff running up and down the stairs which I don’t think is very professional, and lack of communication between management and staff and the fact that you can see them pour drinks from bottles into glasses and charging double for a glass of coke!!! Food is in a poor standard, as I had the chicken tikka with rice,veg and noodles. It was served on a hot plate which looked like t was slopped on, not really veg when it’s just onions and over cooked noodles, everything was sticking to the hot plate, all tasted the same. We had poppadoms while we waited for food and we got charged extra for the chutneys which is a rip off!!!! Don’t waste your money!!!!

The food was average to be honest

Just heard so much about this place on instagram/ Facebook and thought me & my friends give it a try & to say it was VERY DISAPPOINTING!......I ordered the mix grill sizzling plate looked really good but had no flavour everything thing on there just tasted the same and spicy & ventilation in that place is a joke & so many staff but didn’t know how the service customers, Really disappointed.

Walked in with the management just staring with no greeting or any mention of come take a seat. Anyways with some sort of hand gestures was seated The waiters are all really young and helpful but the management are arrogant and treating their staff really bad won’t be going again food was average.

It was busy, food smelt delicious as we walked in and very chic inside. They will not provide tap water so you have to buy bottled water! We don’t sell tap water is the answer. We weren’t asking to buy it! Chicken dishes were lovely and the plates are huge with rice, chips & noodles. However the lamb was chewy & not tasty. They got our order mixed up & were going to give us steak. We don’t eat beef!!!! We ordered chicken rogan josh & got lamb. Well we think & hopefully it was it was lamb. We had mixed grill platter as starters and the chutney came when we had nearly finished it. We felt rushed through our meal. We were still eating our starters and they wanted to bring out the mains. There wasn’t any need to rush as we didn’t go until 9.30 & plenty of tables free. Also ladies toilets the floors were wet & dirty for obvious reasons and should be cleaned & kept dry! A shame because some of the food was lovely. Shame about the service!

Went here on a date with my girlfriend and boy was it brilliant. Service was really ok point and to top off the brilliant service the food was so delicious. Definitely a place I will be visiting again!

We come here, 3 times a year for our Grand children's Birthday, usually we have a fantastic time, but today was disappointing due to lack of service, just 2 on the bar and one serving food and at 6.00pm the place was packed, so stood in a que for at least 20 mins to order food, then waited even longer for it to arrive, when the food eventually arrived, the children's food was wrong, so had to go back to be re done, one of the adult meals was wrong, but he just took it, because we had waited long enough and did not want to wait any longer, I had to ask for clean cutlery as the stuff in the trays were filthy, on a better note, my medium rare steak was cooked to perfection, after lots of good visits, I hope this was just a one off staff shortage incident, but we will find out next month at one of the other children's birthday, Sorry, but today was very disappointing

We dined as a table of four, we weren't sure what to order and the waiter was just as clueless, we ordered drinks : a glass of coke £2.75 and that's not even a pint or a jug which is £6.50 my friend just wanted water but the waiter said we don't serve water - only bottles! WTF - is this even legal? Food was very bland definitely won't be visiting again

I visited this place,the food was great but cashier lady overcharge us by giving us wrong amount money which was very disappointing so beware people!!!

This place lacks service beyond exception

1/10 ceiling collapsed and flattened my food. Would not recommend to those who do not like a ceiling collapsing.

Have eaten here a few times now..HUGE portion sizes on red hot sizzling platters. It’s a bit weird with their food combinations ( you will understand when you go) but I love it! Always very busy with the locals ..so go early .

After much hype, I finally decided to check out the all famous Sizzling Palate.. my word did it live up to its expectations. Its been a while since am postings this but I had their chicken chips on a bed of noodles with an egg to finish it off. It was stunningly beautiful. A must goto if your in the area. Unfortunately there is no car park as the restaurant is located in the town centre however if you go in the evening. The place should be free of the wardens
