I've never had an overwhelmingly positive or negative experience here from the three times I've come, but after this one night I feel inclined to write a review. I don't believe in slamming small businesses, but if a small business treats it's customers with disrespect there are repercussions and kinder businesses to support. I've seen extremely negative reviews about the treatment from staff and via people who have experienced it firsthand. The food and drinks are simply mediocre. However, this particular night the attitude of the bar people was shocking and I'm not sure why it hasn't changed or a conversation has not happened to change this as it appears to be a universal experience. After hearing similar complaints, I believe this review is necessary and justified. Recommend places like Remal and Cuckoo in Prestwich if you're looking for a bar/restraunt that appreciates their customers.

A Disappointing Visit to the Subway Every time I come to this Subway, I face the same issue. Even though the website and the shop clearly state that the store is open until 9:00 PM, the employees stop serving as early as 8:30 PM. Their excuse? They need the last 30 minutes for cleaning and closing duties, and they can’t stay past 9:00 PM because that’s the limit of their paid hours. If they’re not going to serve customers until 9:00 PM, then the store timings should be updated both online and at the location. It's misleading otherwise. Today, I drove 15 minutes just to get some Halal food, only to be turned away and have my time wasted. It's frustrating and unfair to customers who rely on the posted hours.

Having placed a phone order, I was told Jamil has now merged with the Shukria. Upon arriving to collect my order, three unmasked youths were waiting in the limited indoor space with no apparent Covid precautions and no face masks. When my food was offered I was then told their card machine was out of order and asked to obtain cash from an ATM a short distance away. At that, I had to say I felt their performance over Covid regulations was unsatisfactory and as they could not process my card payment, I declined to take my food. The lack of Covid precautions means I will not be returning.
