Having placed a phone order, I was told Jamil has now merged with the Shukria. Upon arriving to collect my order, three unmasked youths were waiting in the limited indoor space with no apparent Covid precautions and no face masks. When my food was offered I was then told their card machine was out of order and asked to obtain cash from an ATM a short distance away. At that, I had to say I felt their performance over Covid regulations was unsatisfactory and as they could not process my card payment, I declined to take my food. The lack of Covid precautions means I will not be returning.

Utterly disastrous takeaway order. Looked at a couple of local takeaways and they quoted the shortest delivery time of 35-40 minutes, which would have been around 17.55. When the order was accepted, the quoted time had jumped to 18.35 (1 hour and 20 minutes from ordering). Not great but at least we could plan around it. The allotted time rolled around with no sign. At 18.45 I went onto Just Eat and selected the "order is late" option. The time was moved out to 19.05. Not happy but too late to change now. The order didn't arrive then either, so I asked for some of the money back, which was declined. When it finally arrived, the mains were good quality but the keema naan was poor. I will not be ordering from here ever again. The driver complained that a road was closed. If you're delivering locally, it's your job to know that. Don't use this as an excuse.

An order for three of us each with a starter and a main with sides and poppadoms to start came to just under 30 pounds. Which I think is well worth the money considering the quality of the food. Extensive menu ranging from the traditional dishes to a good selection of interesting chef's specials. If you like a hot curry you'll definitely like this place but even if you don't I would still recommend.

Ordered a curry at 19:15 which was due to be delivered at 20:30. No food had materialised at 20:44 so I rang the restaurant. Staff couldn't speak English (enough to understand!) They said it was going to be another 15 minutes - so half an hour late. The food eventually arrived and it was absolutely minging. The lamb was tough and chewy and it was if the meat was days old! Never again! I will stick to Muheet next time!

Awful food. Korma was that watery I had to drain it twice! Delivery driver was a rude pig and the cans of coke came hotter than the food.

Its been many years since i had food from the China Palace, in those days you would expect to be queing out of the door and waiting 1hr to get the best Chinese around.... So,as we were looking for some additions to the meal we were having, I suggested ordering from the Chinese Palace...delivery arrived in good time...we ordered Salt and Pepper Ribs, Crispy Wantons , Vegatable Spring Rolls and Stir Fry Noodles...all for the grand sum of £24.00...hmm Ok, so lets get the good bits out of the way...Noodles, really nice, Spring roll ok but.... Crispy Wontons overcooked and in broken pieces, and im not sure what was supposed to be inside them! as for the sauce, which i assumed was sweet and sour had an awful aftertaste..however the biggest dissapointment was the Salt and Pepper Ribs...they looked ok ..but omg next doors dog would have had trouble chewing these, we literally could not chew them, rock hard...impossible to eat...so straight to the bin, the worst Spare Ribs I have ever had. I dont know what they are doing nowadays...but a very dissapointing experience. 3717794 is the order from just eat, 25th march..thanks for your reply...i would be prepared to order again providing you reply to me with an explanation of how bad most of the order was, its not about the money, the quality of what you delivered was really dissapounting. A Disappointing Visit to the Subway Every time I come to this Subway, I face the same issue. Even though the website and the shop clearly state that the store is open until 9:00 PM, the employees stop serving as early as 8:30 PM. Their excuse? They need the last 30 minutes for cleaning and closing duties, and they can’t stay past 9:00 PM because that’s the limit of their paid hours. If they’re not going to serve customers until 9:00 PM, then the store timings should be updated both online and at the location. It's misleading otherwise. Today, I drove 15 minutes just to get some Halal food, only to be turned away and have my time wasted. It's frustrating and unfair to customers who rely on the posted hours.

I've never had an overwhelmingly positive or negative experience here from the three times I've come, but after this one night I feel inclined to write a review. I don't believe in slamming small businesses, but if a small business treats it's customers with disrespect there are repercussions and kinder businesses to support. I've seen extremely negative reviews about the treatment from staff and via people who have experienced it firsthand. The food and drinks are simply mediocre. However, this particular night the attitude of the bar people was shocking and I'm not sure why it hasn't changed or a conversation has not happened to change this as it appears to be a universal experience. After hearing similar complaints, I believe this review is necessary and justified. Recommend places like Remal and Cuckoo in Prestwich if you're looking for a bar/restraunt that appreciates their customers.
