Saw good TA reviews and arrived in time for a late breakfast. The location is a bit hidden away and not ideal, on a Runcorn industrial estate close to train station. Very limited parking slots outside, the coach firm next door put cones out on what they feel is their bit of their road. I parked opposite the tyre place on Picow Farm Road. Warm and friendly welcome. I was the only eat in customer, mainly takeout customers. Brekkie was £6 and tasty enough, adequate portion, no need to go large. The tea cost another £1.50 served in a glass teapot and mug, unusual. No toilet facilities that I could see. I’d visit again - if they manage to sort the parking out. Thank you!

I hate motorway services breakfast and the prices. I found Sizzlers Runcorn and enjoyed the best fry up I've had in ages. The ladies are chatty and helpful.

Camaes Bay is a lovely place the beach is sandy but also has pebble areas and cliffs, the views are fantastic, and also lovely walks around camaes, not spoilt with commercialism, there is a lovely little coffee bar practically on the beach, cheese burgers to die for.The village has an a few shops, you can get nearly everything you need, the people are warm and welcoming, cafes and hotels all serve excellent food. This place is not one to miss, if you are looking for, fantastic view, fab places to eat, lovely hotels and S/C, and not forgetting a lovely beach to sunbathe or go swimming.

Great little greasy spoon cafe, tucked away on one of the industrial estates in Runcorn. Great size portions and everything cooked fresh to order. The lads in work and I come here regularly for breakfast!

Our walking group had lunch at the Childe of Hale on 13 May. What a great pub! Ian the Manager was so helpful and accommodating when I called in a couple of weeks ago to ask if I could bring a group of walkers. Using the pub car park as our meeting point was no problem and he also arranged to let us in to use the toilets before the pub had opened. We had a fabulous walk along the coast as far as the runway of Liverpool airport then back to the pub for lunch. The menu was very varied and the food was delicious and served promptly. Well done Ian and all your staff. 10 out of 10!

Small but nice menu. Risotto not available but didn’t know until ordering. Dessert came with ice cream instead of custard as ordered. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

The Steak was a local “Cowards” steak .. it was a nice thickness , cooked correctly to order . A good steak. The onion rings were very overcooked and just bits of crispy batter . The chips were defent sized and cooked fine. The mushrooms were minute and both of us thought we hadnt received any as they were tiny and a minute portion. No tomato. The drink was a Real Ale , a Golden Ale, very tasty and as usual well kept and presented. This inn received the CAMRA Area award for this past year. The young staff were excellent and well trained , and attentive to everything . My 6,500+ followers on here will know my reviews are unbiased and warts and all , if the onion rings had been much better , this would be a 5 stars review. I reccomend the Norton Arms Inn for a nice meal and ambience. I am not related to any member of staff , and received no benefits for my review as always . Congratulations to the young waiting staff on a job well done, and to the kitchen for the Main course Steak. We will visit again soon. We will visit again soon.

The people were friendly so I feel bad giving a lower rating. The scones looked nice but I didn't try them so I don't know. I had a sandwich which was not very nice unfortunately. Maybe I should have come earlier in the day! There was very little left in terms of options when I was there.
