Sixes Social Cricket in Manchester

We went for my husbands birthday, I had to call up last minute to make some changes and they were so accommodating. I spoke to Scott on the phone and he was so lovely and really helpful. The Venue is nice looking and the happy hour drinks are a nice touch. I would definitely recommend giving it a try 👍

Booked for 5.45 but didn’t get in the actual cricket until 6. Roasting hot and air con wasn’t working but the heating was on full blast in the toilets . iPad ran out of charge which runs the game , machine ran out of balls. The whole thing seems a bit tired and in need of refresh

I booked Sixes as we were seeking an all-in-one event space, caterer and social team activity and had been frustrated by the lack of agility and seemingly unreasonable charges from other such businesses in central Manchester. Whilst our event was far from unique, we did have a specific set of requests from arrival time and organising the space in a certain way to ensuring that we could deliver the presentation in our preferred format and I'm pleased to say that prior to the day the Sixes company events manager Dan was responsive and reassuring and on the day of the event the venue manager Grace was an absolute star. The Sixes team on duty in Manchester were very attentive and proficient and dealt with our specifically timed agenda and logistics with confidence and assurance. The venue was just perfect for our informal AV presentation interspersed with interactive demonstrations and couldn't have worked any better. We then moved from the open planned space into the games room for food and games before heading back to the nets for Social Cricket. The food was simply great, a choice of a Burger or Pizza with countless options for toppings and suchlike (which we had pre-ordered ahead of the day and the venue were able to accommodate vegan, gluten free and intolerances) and everybody enjoyed it. The whole team at Sixes worked hard to bring the food from the kitchen to the room ensuring it was hot and fresh and we had no complaints. After eating and a couple of drinks from the extensive drinks menu we moved to the nets to play Cricket in the simulator. A mix of ages and experience was met with enthusiasm by all and the experience on offer is miles away from the traditional automatic bowling machines of old. You stand in front of a large digital screen with a small rectangle in it and as the bowler approaches and delivers a speed and type of ball of your choosing through the hole (you can even select famous bowlers and specifically simulated world cup cricket overs,) it's excellent and great fun! Overall, I couldn't recommend the venue highly enough. The attitude and effort of the duty manager Grace and her dedicated team are a credit to the Sixes brand and the venue itself is a well-thought out and designed space offering the perfect blend of function and fun. Highly recommended for the experience that we had and should the opportunity arise to be in Manchester again seeking a venue for such an event we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Top service which makes the experience 100 times better. Niall was our server and he did everything to make sure my son’s party was perfect. Niall went out of his way to us and others on the venue to make sure everything was ok. We played cricket for 45min and it was a great experience for the kids.

Took my son and three of his mates for his 9th birthday today. I cannot fault the day whatsoever. Gutted I didn’t get the name of the two staff members who made our day extra special. We were booked in for 10:45am but enjoyed it that much, booked a further 45 mins an hour later. Staff couldn’t do enough. The cricket itself is class as well. Thanks a lot Sixes Manchester and we will absolutely be seeing you again soon.

Went to try this place out for the first time today after hearing lots of good things. Got there with my friend and seemed like a nice place. Wandered around for less than a minute to see what the game was like. At this point we were approached by a security guy who asked us if we have a booking, after we said no, he informed us they were fully booked. We said no problem, we're just gone stay for two minutes to see the game being played. The security guard then told us no, we needed to leave now and started ushering us out and putting his hand behind my back to show me out. When I asked why are you taking us out immediately, the security guard said I wouldn't even have let you in the front door had I been there and you didn't have a booking. Our treatment by the security guard was disgusting and this place is the first place I've been no booking meant we were kicked out of the place and not even allowed to get a drink or sit at the bar, which plenty of other people were doing. An utterly horrible experience for what seemed like it might be fun. The owners need to make to have a chat with this guard and explain customer service to him. If he was acting in line with policy, then this should be made clear on the website and at the front door.

Great time after a test. We went after day two and were treated. We won the gold ball… luckily! And got some free chicken. Outside of that, Niall was a great host and we had a great time. Thanks so much to the team, and I specifically Niall. Hopefully see you next year for the test.

The concept is good, however for very large groups (over 8 persons) having a single batting pitch is a waiting game. At 20.40 we were asked to take orders however no need to order all 13 dishes at same time, at 20.45 we were informed kitchen will be closed at 21.00 and only 6 pizza wehere left .... not good!

We celebrated our sons first birthday here, at Manchester Sixes Social Cricket! Had a total of about 25 guests and was unsure how to manage it all but all staff, literally all the staff (especially Neil, Shiva, the gentleman who helped to organise the Cricket) were really helpful throughout the event to ensure everything went according to plan. It would not be possible without them. Caring, patient, understanding and accommodating were the staff and I could not ask for more. Highly recommended this place for anyone looking to hold celebratation or just want to go in for a good time! The food was great too...the Veggie chicken with the chips was awesome!

So as an avid fan of cricket on girls weekend away I thought I would take everyone to sixes cricket so they can experience the game for themselves. There were 8 of us and we were shown to the net and then basically just started playing. All was going great we were having a whale of a time. None of us had noticed that the floor had started to come us (basically small plastic mesh tiles that interlock) you would assume its ok because the staff checked this before and another family had just left. Whilst playing cricket literally 30 minutes into our session I tripped on the lifted tiles and banged my arm quite severely which is now very bruised and grazed. Fetched the staff and showed hem what had occurred they were just like oh well we will fix the floor. After around 10 to 15 minutes they starting to pack the tools away and said oh you can carry on. We asked for extra time but still some of the flooring was left up so got them to repair again. No care from the staff, not one person asked if I was ok, no writing in the accident book on site or taking my details or any compassion at all basically shown. You need to get staff who want to work there and who will be engaged because this let down the whole experience. I have also emailed head office to advise but no response as of yet! I would suggest that if you do go check the area is safe beforehand you go. This ruined the whole experience before this we had the best time and everybody loved game and the place

Absolutely incredible service! We had the best day ever. The batting cage was so fun and being able to change the difficulty levels for each person was a fantastic idea! Niall was amazing, so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious I enjoyed the make your own pizza and the flaming candy floss, what a rush! Cocktails were unique and tasty too. Cannot fault it

Grace made sure we had a fantastic time. Will definitely be back again. Perfectly poured pints and food was lovely. They show sports too which is ideal

Came for a family gathering and was my nephews 18th Birthday as well. The staff were absolutely amazing and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and please pass on my compliments to the lad with Blonde hair as well, just really making sure we were all looked after. Thank you all of you guys. Loved the atmosphere as well and had a brilliant time. Love to come here again soon.

We had a really good time at sixes Manchester watching the T20 World Cup semi final. Food was okay but Niall the bartender and server was Absolutley fantastic. His service was top tier and Absolutley made our night. Would recommend to anyone albeit not much value for money on food

Good as part of a stag do lime we did on the Saturday. Great fun for all involved as an improvement potentially to create a proper package deal for all as was abit steep to add food and pints on top of this

Good family experience but 45 minutes flies by. Groups of adults would enjoy Flight Club more but this is something a little different.

Been here twice - both times have been fantastic. Good fun, great atmosphere, and the staff can't do enough for you. 100% recommend, will be back.

I don’t normally do this but I thought I better leave this review for all to see! Myself, my wife and my son went for some lunch on Saturday 17th February, whilst tucking into our food a fury friend came out the kitchen and went pass our table and then back to the kitchen, the staff saw it and ran to the other side of the restaurant! When my wife went to tell them we got no apology or anything! We quickly stopped eating and left straight away! I understand mice can get in but surely this is exposing something seriously wrong with the pest control in this restaurant!

I was playing cricket with a group of friends and we had a great time. Quiet atmosphere. The food was very good, we ordered pizzas and some snacks and everything was very good. Very friendly staff.

The whole team especially Grace were outstanding and made our evening so enjoyable. They could not do enough and ensured it was fun even though we turned up late.Cricket is great fun. Games room was superb with so much to do. Food was really good and came out when we wanted.

Great place for the cricket lovers. As a group of 8 we felt we didn’t get much time, as kids took longer probably and it was our first time. We didn’t order any food as we went straight after breakfast at home on a Sunday morning. Quiet difficult for kids u see 7 to get a score unless they have played cricket or do play cricket but over all a good experience and would defiantly return

Food was absolutely disgusting , the chicken burger smelt off putting. The chips were cold and tasted of cardboard. The burger had no fillings , the salad was awful, will never go to this place again. Only thing half decent was the cricket and pool table

Visited Sixes in Mcr on a Fri evening with 4 friends. 2 of us have played cricket to varying degrees so we loved it but the 3 that had never played also enjoyed the experience a lot. I can honestly say it's the best type of 'acitivity' evening social thing I've done...much better than something like playing darts at Flight Club or going 10-pin bowling. Sixes in Mcr is at the back of the Corn Exchange square, next to Mowgli. The entrance is surrounded by a white picket fence to give it a cricket ground feel and you enter the main area down a large central staircase from the entrance. The main area has a bar and large area for tables with 3 batting cages for the cricket dotted around them. It's well laid out without being very inventive from the decor side of things. When we went there weren't too many people there so most of the tables were empty. The cricket side of things is straightforward enough. Each person in the group faces 6 balls from a virtual bowler on a big screen in front of you. The ball comes out of a hole in the screen...and you try and hit various targets to score runs. You can alter the skill settings (1-5) for each player and you play in a round-robin format until the time runs out. It's 30 mins for a smaller group upto 1 hour for larger groups. You have to pre book via the website. We didn't eat as we had dinner beforehand but they serve burgers and pizzas. The drinks were good though and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it as a fun start to an evening or a work night out!

Myself and my son had such a great time at Sixes cricket Manchester this morning, our server, Freya was very welcoming and helpful, and our cashier, Jamie-Leigh was lovely also. We didn’t order any food but we will be ordering some the next time we come in. We will definitely be coming back soon with some family and friends.

I'm posting this review as a 'thanks' to Daniel Bodycote the Reservations Manager. We came to Sixes a while back, one of the machines was not working, Dan said to get in touch with him next time and he'll sort us out - however, there had not been a next time for ages! I was away for the weekend and my friend was visiting from Luxembourg with his daughter, I got in touch with Dan and even though it was an age since the issue, he very kindly added some extras onto my friends booking. Thank you very much, great customer service.

Came here weekend with a large group and we all had an amazing time! For a busy Friday night everything was really organised and we was informed of what would be happening from the get go which made everything stress-free. The staff are really attentive making sure we always had enough drinks and they was always on hand when we needed something. Most importantly they have a laugh with you too! The batting nets are really fun, and theres 5 different difficulty levels so anyone can play. Will be returning in the future! Thank you to all the staff at Sixes for a lovely night!

Went to go into the bar and it was a supposedly fully booked but I could book a table online for every time slot available for the day. Bouncer extremely rude. We were going to book a table there and then online but after he was rude we decided to go elsewhere. Such a shame really.

Had my wife's birthday at the 'Games Den' section as a private party. Great variety of food including halal, gluten free, and vegetarian. Great selection of games that had every guest engaged. More than amazing team, thanks to Dan and Laurence from the booking team, and a especial thanks to Grace who made sure that every guest had a great experience. Great fun, flexible staff, fair prices, only downside was we got a deal which included beers in it - but strangely only included the lagers and not bottles of ale. Didn’t make much sense to me!

First visit was on Sunday 14th May with 2 family members. We really enjoyed playing the cricket and the food was delicious. Visited again yesterday (17th May) with 2 friends to find a quiet place to watch the football. Dimitri and Grace showed us amazing hospitality and customer service. Grace took us downstairs where the big TV screen was so we can watch the football in a quiet space. We ordered food and drinks and was good to see halal food options on the menu. The food was delicious. We had a great time and will be back again soon!

Went here with a group of friends visiting Manchester a few weeks back, and it was far better than I'd imagined. The cricket cages really make this a unique experience, and it's surprisingly challenging. The bar itself is great and the bar food is spot on for a sports bar.

I booked for myself and my boyfriend, however on the night my boyfriends brother and his girlfriend were also free so we enquired whether they could join us. We were told this was not a problem, they would just need to alter the programme we batted with. Halfway through the programme (50 balls to go), the ‘timer’ ended and we were told to leave the net. We were then charged for all 4 people to bat despite not recieving the full time. When we pointed out this was a little unfair as we weren’t advised of this (and would have happily batted just the two as originally booked) to get the full experience, the staff were incredibly rude and dismissive towards us. The manager began accusing us of shouting despite us not raising our voices once and refused to give us a refund. We were eventually offered some more time in the net however by this point our experience had been soured and we just wanted to leave. The batting itself is fun (but slow so eats into your time) however the service is quite poor.

A surprise day out for my boyfriend’s 18th. We came in on a Wednesday afternoon, 4pm, during the Easter holidays. I had booked online prior to arriving, it was £14 each for 30 minutes. We got here 15 minutes early as the booking said to be briefed on how things worked. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We played the T20 mode and it was really good fun. My boyfriend literally lives and breathes cricket and he loved it. There were 5 difficulty levels: beginner, amateur, club level, professional, world class. We had some food too after our game which was delicious. Everyone from cricket lovers to people who aren’t the biggest cricket fans, like me, would have a good time here. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again.

A fantastic place where fun can be had by all. Don’t be put off if you’re not gifted with hand eye coordination as these are difficulty options that genuinely span all ability allowing all to have a great time. The drinks selection is good and all the staff are very friendly. I will definitely be coming back… again!

I have to say, we will definitely be back! This is super competitive especially for me and my husband as we both love sports. Something different especially for a date night. They do offer some halal food on their menu which is nice to see. Personally I feel that 30mins isn't long enough would be great if it was 45mins or 1hr.

So i came across sixes social cricket as i was looking to book an activity for my husband's birthday that we could do as a family with two young boys. I have to say we throughly enjoyed it and it was a good game. Fun for all ages. Free cookie dough and drink for the birthday boy. Husband throughly enjoyed it too!!Staff were excellent. Will definitely book sixes social cricket again!

Had an awesome night on the 18th for a stag. Staff were awesome and looked after us. Couldn't speak highly enough of them and the venue. Would recommend to anyone.

Booked sixes for a stag activity whilst in Manchester, and we were not disappointed! As a large group of 15 we were greeted and taken down stairs whilst we waited for out net to be ready. This area had its own bar, pool table and other games so was perfect. We where then called up stairs and took our turns to badt in-between pints. Services was top notch and the staff couldn't help enough and even got involved in the banter! Food was all bought out to us in no time at all..we couldn't have asked for more from our session. I'd highly recommend Sixes for any group activity!

Came into sixes tonight after reading good reviews and wasn't disappointed, really friendly ,huge thank you to Freya, Rosie and Nathan, top people with fantastic attitudes,the food was first class,had a chat with the chef Brandon who was happy to explain how and where the food was prepared. Top notch establishment!!

Be very careful and take note of the time that you arrive. I took advice from previous comments. The staff come approximately 10 to 15 earlier than the hour paid for, and tell us that we started early. (Not the case, they just want extra money for time that we have already paid for). Dirty tricks. Facilities good, highly expensive, drinks extortionate. Not good value for money. We had already booked a table for nine, for food, they had no recollection of this. We didn't push it as the kitchen area looked closed and we weren't particularly impressed, so we went to the Slug & lettuce around the corner (highly recommended by the way).

Fabulous. Cricket is great fun and good value, food is very tasty, but the best thing is the staff — cheerful and super helpful. Thank you, we will be back!

Great place to visit with friends, family, or as a work night out. Fun for all abilities and great range of drinks on offer. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend if you're looking for a fun activity!

I went there yesterday. It's in a basement with nobody at the door. Felt like I was trying to sneak in the back door as I entered. As we got down to the main area, it was a lot more happening and the staff were great. Food was really good and the service was generally quick. We watched a game of cricket while we were there and there were loud cheers from other fans who were there for lunch as well. Screens are big and clear and it's a good place to watch the game.

Fun night out playing cricket and socialising. What could be better?

Really helpful staff, they were all brilliant, place is nice with Cricket simulators. You can try different levels starting from Amateur to professional, where bowling speed slightly increases and you could literally see bowl spinning, expects both off spin and leg spin in the same over. They use very light rubber bowl so chance of any injury and don’t need extra protective gears. Only negative thing- it was slightly expensive, around 15 pounds for just half an hour. But at the end it was good fun, take your friends and family along and you will definitely enjoy.

A cricket supporter up for the test match from Dorset. Very disappointed, not what I expected at all. As a long time county member with a wide circle of friends that are members of other counties, I will letting them know of my experience so they don't make the same mistake.

Just called in this place for a drink. 2 glasses of wine £28.00 both were awful. I took mine back for a refund my other half battled through with his. Apparently his was £18 for a glass of white wine. Was worse than a £3.50 bottle of soave from asda. This place really needs to look at what they're charging for their cheap wine. We wouldn't of minded paying £28 if it had been a nice glass. We had just come from a lovely restaurant and that was only £7.50 a glass that was a million times nicer. Even Rios restaurant isn't the price these guys are charging. Madness

First time we have been to a sixes and it was great. We just went for drinks and the staff were really attentive and friendly. As to be expected, there were a few loud groups on the simulator but that adds to the ambience. Could do we a bit more selection on vegetarian food (only 1 main) as we would have stayed longer if this was the case. As it was t20 finals day, it would have been nice if they made a bit more of an 'event' out of it with the commentary on etc as it seemed that was a side rather than some people being able to go there specifically to watch it.

Don't be apprehensive because you might not like cricket. It's real fun, easy to use and you get into it so quickly. Excellent staff who looked after us. Only grumble is near the nets needs more space for your drinks. Aside from that excellent place to visit m

Particularly Dmitri (as he was the last one we dealt with) who was very accommodating to us, and spent a lot of time to make sure we were happy
