Bem Brasil, Deansgate in Manchester

Great if your whole group like meat. If your pescatarian or vegetarian not much of a choice. Went with the family who eat meat thinking there would be the same options on the seafood menu. However. You only get ONE choice out of 3, not the 3 listed on of the menu. If s the same price as the meat menu. They come round many times with different meat. Why then do they not do the same for none meat eaters ? The seafood choice should be half the price. No buffet. I was disappointed.

I called an hour in advance to check if they had availability for eight people. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem. We settled in, ate our meal, and sometimes the servers urged us to hurry up with the meat, but I didn't complain as I understood they had many tables to manage. Anyway, everything was going smoothly until after an hour and ten minutes when they informed us that we only had 20 minutes left because we hadn't shown up for a reservation and they needed to free our table. I was astonished. Why wasn't I informed earlier? It created a strange atmosphere, almost ruining our appetite. We couldn't even order coffee or dessert. It’s not my first experience there, I've known this restaurant since 2014, and I feel like it's losing its prestige.

We visited Bem Brasil, Deansgate, on Saturday evening. I'd unfortunately made the online booking for 2, when it should have been for 4. It was obvious the restaurant was very busy, but she asked the waiter/waitress to prepare a different table for us, which was kind. We were welcomed by our server, who explained the Bem Brazil concept, as it's not a 'normal' restaurant. Instead of ordering from a menu, the servers constantly come around to the tables with skewers of meat, which is carved in front of you. You will need a break ha ha, which you can have by turning your table card from green to red. You can also order as many side dishes as you like, which are brought to your table, these are included in the price. Great choice of meat and sides - all were cooked beautifully and the sides were tasty too. I'd also like to comment on the staff - every member of staff was super polite, had a big smile and couldn't be more welcoming. A credit to the restaurant! There were some large parties in there too and this didn't seem to deflect at all on everyone else's service. Excellent value for money and drinks reasonably priced too. We will definately be back.

Our host, Salmon, was extremely pleasant and attentive, he made our birthday experience most enjoyable. The food was delicious and our host payed particular attention for any meats we hadn’t tried yet, or wanted to indulge in again. Thank you, Salmon!

Absolutely fantastic experience - friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Delicious food that just keeps coming - sides are ordered separately and are made to order. The cheese bread and coleslaw are highly recommended BUT there was nothing we didn’t enjoy. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely awful!!! We were seated and it took 45 minutes for someone to take our order of sides, they advertised a free drink for mothers on Mother’s Day which was a Prosecco which didn’t come atall! I ordered a Diet Coke which was draught which came flat! To then be told it is flat because it’s a diet and full fat is fizzier so do I want a full fat or do I want a diet bottled, the bottled Diet Coke also came flat, when telling the manager it was flat he implied I was lying as it was bottled and gave me a look to say “come on don’t lie” which when I questioned him on it he said no I tasted the draught one and that was flat but the bottled wasnt tasted by me so it could of been how it was stored. The sides came and they were not only freezing cold but the wrong sides! He then stated as I told him I was fuming with the service that he would take off the drinks, which I returned anyway for being flat!! He then tried to charge me for the food even though we’d only had the sides for 15 minutes and not ate before we decided to leave! I was not paying for the 3 pieces of meat we had and when I told him I wasn’t paying he went leave then!! Absolutely rude staff, awful service, will definitely not be coming again!

From start to finish this evening was Horrendous. From the 3 available lagers on draught we were surprised when after ordering our drinks, 5 minutes later we were told only the other 2 drinks were available (fair enough that happens)... but to then be told upon selecting another drink, that there was actually only 1 lager available which took about 15 minutes to come.. Next to order was a selection of sides which took 45 minutes to come and when they did they were completely wrong. After explaining to the waiter they were wrong he apologised but came back 5 minutes later with the same sides?? We again explained how the sides weren't remotely what we ordered before an older lady came over and rather rudely took our sides order again before saying 'now are you sure that's all you want' in an aggressive tone as though to imply we were at fault for their incompetence. Eventually the sides came (mostly correct but with random extras we didn't order). The sides were good but not worth a 45 minute wait. Lastly, as we were seated in the corner, we quickly noticed that we weren't getting offered anywhere near as much food as other tables as the waiters with the meat quite literally would come up to the table before ours and then walk away. At this point we were rightfully fuming with the situation and had to call a waiter over and questioned him as to why we weren't getting the same opportunity as other customer to which he didn't seem to speak a word of English. This is genuinely my first ever negative review and can only describe the whole experience as disappointing. Paying 40 quid each for nothing short of a rip off and the audacity to add a service charge for such a sub par joke of a meal was a great way to top off a poor evening. Obviously this service charge was promptly removed and a complaint was made. Wouldn't recommend this place at all do not come here unless you want an evening full of excuses, disappointment and anger. Side note: Only positive of the evening was Kyra (we think, sorry) who was great at her job and better than all the other members of staff combined.

Veldig fornøyd med forrige tur! Vi synes spesielt kjøttet skiller seg positivt ut, ved at det er mye variasjon, og variasjon i smak. Virker å komme rett fra grillen alt som blir servert, og har en god temperatur. Vi ønsker også å skryte av servicen, og at vi til en hver tid følte oss ivaretatt. En ekstra oppmerksomhet til Salomon, som tok hånd av regningen. Kan trygt anbefale Bem Brasil videre til reisende i Manchester.

Fantastic atmosphere and the food was divine and plenty full especially the pineapple to finish , excellent value for money, All the staff where extremely helpful. initially we were seated in a draft from the door but the lovely waitress soon managed to move us to a new table even though it was extremely busy, The dancers were fabulous and the man playing the accordion was very good too! I highly recommend and will return.

Besøker Bem Brasil i forbindelse med fotballtur hvert eneste år og liker konseptet. Man betaler for å spise hvor mye man orker. De serverer kjøtt rett fra grillen i flere omganger. Man bestiller også flere side retter etter ønske. Drikke kommer i tillegg. Har besøkt Bem Brasil fast hvert eneste år og vært veldig fornøyd. Men de siste årene så har alt bare blitt dårligere. De første årene ville jeg gitt 5 stjerner uten å tenke meg om. Men de tre siste årene har kvaliteten på maten og stemninga bare gått nedover. Dette ble nok det siste besøket våres på Bem Brasil.

First time coming here, my partner had been once before. Took a little while to order drinks, sides and to be given a green/red card. We ordered the cheese bread, sweet potato mash and chips for the table, all tasted good. The meat was circulating quickly, but I felt like I couldn’t relax for just a minute as the waiters were constantly at the table regardless of the card displaying red. Although some meats were tastier than others, I particularly enjoyed the spicy beef! Others were quite fatty and the gammon was very salty. I loved the pineapple with cinnamon! Overall, it was a good experience, but I don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to return!

Been here previously but not on a Saturday. It was very busy and didn’t quite feel we got the same attention from the staff walking around with the meat selections as we had when the restaurant was less busy. We were a large party but Jessie looked after us very well with orders for the sides and drinks. Unfortunately, I had mentioned on booking that a couple of our guests had poor mobility and needed the lift. This was fine but we were given a table at the back up some steps. Not ideal. Overall we will return but probably not on a Saturday evening.

First time visiting. Lots of sides to choose and all very tasty. Friendly staff. Huge selection of meats and. Chicken but the BEST was the pineapple for dessert! Salmon our waiter was helpful friendly and provided great service!

Had a fantastic lunch here in Bem Brazil Deansgate the food was great! The only downside is would say is that the food should be served on a hot plate. Service from Amelia was fantastic and she was brilliant from start to finish so a special thank you to her.

Rip off charged £70 for two only realised bill had been padded day after ! We had no drinks at all . Sides poor and had cheese steak , sausage and pineapple in rotation no other meats . Not been in years gone down hill CHECK YOUR BILLS !!! Better still avoid

Bit of an issue with delay for food after ordering, Jessy picked up on this and was fantastic in the way she resolved it. A genuine apology and handled it brilliantly.

I love this restaurant and the atmosphere here. The service is excellent and they have a wide variety of delicious food. This restaurant never fails to please me. Fatima is one of a kind and very helpful. All the staffs are amazing and awesome. I really recommend this restaurant.

Today I went with my boyfriend to eat there, it was our first time and we were very impressed by the high quality of the food, the meats and the exquisite starters! We tried many types of meat such as beef, lemon chicken, spicy meat, sausages and the surprise was pineapple with cinnamon. I want to thank Yani and Robert for their excellent service! They treated us very well. We will return without a doubt!

The food was brilliant 🥩🍗 and the staff couldn't have been any more welcoming and helpful👍. My husband and myself had a great time celebrating my birthday 🎂🎉 even when the staff sang happy birthday to me 🤦‍♀️. We will definitely go back again

This is not a bad review, just my personal feedback. I have noticed an important change on what this chain used to offer. I believe sides and the meat were average in both locations (not at its best quality as it used to be). The...

On a Friday evening this place was absolutely packed. Being this busy there wasn't enough staff to cope. They missed some of our orders for sides , fries tasted like cardboard. The meat was ok. Happy birthday songs were sung every 10 mins from the staff to the customers, it made for a noisy rowdy environment.

Food (especially the meat!) great as always. Hadn't visited in a couple of years and a few changes noted. No more buffet table, as unlimited side dishes now have to be ordered which leads to delays. The ambience was really noisy compared to last time. I did come on a Saturday night which may explain why to be fair. Friendly staff, especially one who ensured I got my ribeye servings once they were ready ! Next time might be worth trying out the other Manchester branch.

Formerly renowned as one of Manchester's top dining spots, the experience has taken a downturn. On an unusually quiet Friday evening, it took more than 15 minutes to receive basic beer orders. Additionally, the premium beef is now sparingly offered, even upon request. Instead, they tend to serve tough and chewy pork/chicken initially, attempting to satisfy hunger, and when the purportedly superior steak arrives, it falls short of being medium rare, turning out disappointingly chewy and unpleasant. Opting for the extra cost at Fazenda seems like a better choice.

A great comoradery service never stopped almost pre emptied our needs the meat was beautifully cooked the Lamb was an soo tasty they should bottle and sell the buttered garlic glaze. Only down side for me was the poor choice of alcohol free drinks.

Nice Brazilian Barbeque restaurant, standard affair where you're brought delicious meat for as long as you can stand it. Wish they'd bring back the buffet however (to match competitors), sides are ordered from menu now (but unlimited). Worth the money but quite expensive.

Been a few times and I can't say I've had a bad experience one time. That said though,we must of been asked every 10-15mins from multiple people, how the food was, which, whilst attentive, became a nuisance quickly. It's a safe staple to head to for a mixture of meats, freshly cooked, and turned around quickly. Book in advance, and should you run late, where they have been able to, they have accommodated us to not lose out on our booking time which is brilliant!
