We were in for drinks and wow. Sich a good selection of beers and staff who could explain the different tastes. would recommend.

Excellent selection of imaginative craft beers - sour, ipa, stout etc. - everything one could wish for in beer styles - pleasant relaxed atmosphere!

I ate here with my family about 2 years ago and he food was amazing , they had a really good chef, Just wondered why they would want to replace that with really crappy snacks, is it now part owned by the campervan brewery in Stockbridge, so anyone looking to eat here would do well to go elsewhere before going to 6 degrees north ,at least they sell nice beer ,I prefer the way the place was the last time I visited ,not this time, can't see it lasting very much longer how sad.

I visited last Saturday 29th June 2019 after several months away from here and was so looking forward to the visit - but came away feeling very disappointed.Was greeted by the barman who said "What can I get you my man?" Call me old fashioned but I appreciate good manners and I felt a tad narked off by his patter. If he was trying to sound hip and cool it didn't work with me. I just thought ...arrogant.One of the beer boards kept changing every few seconds so it was really difficult to read the 20 or so beers that were on tap. I did mention this to him and he said that it was the managers decision to have the display like that. Well it is a very bad decision because it just annoyed me even more the way the beer board was presented. He offered to suggest a beer to which I declined. He still wanted to offer a suggestion at which time I re-iterated "no thank you, I know what I like!"I have been enjoying craft beer long enough to know what I like.In the end I plumped for a Wylam IPA which was very good. However there were too many Campervan brewery beers (a local Edinburgh craft brewer) which in my opinion are not the best. I'm all for showcasing local talents but no more that two at a time especially when there are far more exciting craft beers to have on tap.Anyway it was more the attitude of the barmen that annoyed me and the beers on tap just didn't do it for me on this occasion. So I left 10 minutes later after the one beer.And the craft beer bar that I went to afterwards was great.Most of my gripes with Six Degrees North in Edinburgh have been to do with the staff they employ and this was no different.This place offers the largest selection of craft beer on tap in Edinburgh. Do the staff think for this reason that they are a cut above the rest? It's not just about the beer. I think that the staff leave something to be desired - good manners and a respectful attitude to their customers.

Went on bank holiday Monday with 2 friends and it just so happened to be games night. 3.5 hours passed very quickly thanks to the vast range of beers, some great beers as well, and tasty flatbread food that went down an absolute treat.Prices are good and staff are friendly. Would return.

They have quite an extensive list of beers available, and plenty of choice on draft. There's something for everyone and whilst a little out of town, it's well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed Six Degrees North. Friends recommended it to us and we are glad they did. Lots of excellent beers to choose from.

This place has a huge range of excellent craft beer. It's a very pleasant place and a bit different, and more stylish, than your usual craft beer place

Visited several times and always good. Knowledgeable staff who will steer you right. Can be quiet and can be busy. 2 mins from city centre.

We went here looking for a place to seat and chill, and the staff was brilliant the beer choices was ore some, but no sweet cider😟, but the beer I had was nice leith orange was nice Well worth a visit

Beer selection fantastic in this buzzing new town bar - definitely worth looking up. Simple but tasty bar snacks. Music bit loud but we are getting old! Went near Halloween so they playing horror moves on screens which was funny with sound off and rock sound track in bar. Would definitely go again. Nice find.

Stopped here after walking on the old cobbled streets of Edinburgh on a hot Sunday afternoon.Perfect remedy was a frothing craft ale.Worth a drop in.

My son and I had a fantastic time working our way through the taps. We never had a bad one or even an average one. They were all great. We had a few of the smaller dishes to share and really enjoyed them. We will definitely return soon.

Whilst not central like some of the other craft beer bars, this was done offer an array of beers to choose from.

Well, that was disappointing. As a Belgian, I loved your actual Belgian dishes, but now the menu is rather dull! I was going to order the mussels and fries, but you'd ran out, so went for the burger - overcooked and definitely not with Belgian fries as advertised. The haggis croquettes looked so unappetising. Ribs were dry.

This could be a great Belgian style beer bar if only it could up the quality of the food. There is an awesome selection of beer but since it opened the food has really gone downhill. There used to be really gutsy Belgian dishes on the menu that were cooked well but these have now been replaced by a menu that is dull, overcooked, and tasteless. The only dish that could've been considered Belgian was mussels and chips. Even Weatherspoons does better food.

Very knowledgeable, friendly staff working efficiently in a spacious, nicely designed bar. Emphasis is on Belgian style beers - 6 Degrees North brew using Belgian yeast. However, with 40 beers on tap - and the greater proportion of those changing - and more in bottles, there is something to cater for most tastes. Watched the final day of the 2018 6 Nations here and enjoyed an excellent plate of beef carbonnade, along with beers. A great choice as it turned out.

Lovely friendly bar welcoming knowledgeable staff a bit out of Edinburgh centre but if you like beers well worth routining out 40 taps serving a great wide range of beers including a few of their own

We came to this pub because of a suggestion of a waiter of another pub. They have forty on tap beers an more in bottle. Best choice ever. The guy who served us was very prepared and kind. I suggest everyone to spend some time here!

We visited here for the Stranger Things pop up bar in the basement originally, but have since ventured back twice for the good selection of beers.There's almost too many to choose from so I always end up panicking and getting the same kinds. I particularly like the Brevet beer.

Went for a mock tail drink with my friend. We went downstairs bar. (Upstairs has a restaurant) Lovely and small place, great atmosphere, friendly staff plus various of game board there to play. We will be back to try for the meal.

I headed for my first vist to Six Degrees North Edinburgh with some nervousness. Having been a regular at their fantastic sister bar in Aberdeen, I had high expectations. Am pleased to say that I was not disappointed! There is a very extensive tap list which is served up by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I received some great recommendations and was offered tastings when I wasn't familiar with the beer. The bar has a relaxed atmosphere and although there is some background music it is not intrusive. There is a bar menu with some very tasty snacks and light meals to accompany the beer and provides a great excuse to prolong a visit! I can recommend the burger it was very good.

Best beer bar I can think of, inspired by Belgium craft. The Alcohol in some of them are way above the usual ones, just check you can walk straight before ordering the second pint ;-). A very nice place to start the evening.

My hubby and I popped in to hide from the rain. I really liked the bar area and he was most impressed by the quantity of beer on tap. He tried a few beers. I ordered a pisco sour. It was ok but far from the best and not their speciality so I took a risk. We decided to order food. Neither one of us can recommend the burger. It comes with fries. They put effort into making the burger but they were tough not tender. Most people were there to drink. It was nice to see they allow dogs. So suggest coming here for beer and skipping the food.

We live around the corner and this is our go-to for great craft beer and an awesome selection. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere!!

5 of us ended up here after looking for a last minute alternative to our original dinner plans. We were delighted to get a booth as we walked in (all others were occupied).

This place is definitely for the beer enthusiast with multiple beers on tap and plenty of bottles. Six Degrees does offer there own beer. I tried the Equionox (Light IPA) and the Wanderlust (Whit beer). They both met my expectation of decent beer and they come in special glasses (Wanderlust had a symbol where it looked like a drunk person was urinating which matched the color of the beer). The food was great. Had the mushroom soup and the beef stew in bread. Soup was great and the stew was so-so. Service was great as the waitress was attentive to my needs. Like the title says, this place is great for the beer enthusiast!

We just popped in to try the place - there is an amazing array of beers from the UK and beyond, with a host on various taps and draft, as well as numerous bottles.

Met some friends here the other night; found a booth and settled in for awhile. Huge selection of beer (wine's a little pricey) and the food is very decent. We had a mixed sharing platter along with Monsieur / Madame croquets. Very tasty! The service by the folk behind the bar was excellent. It's a little loud, so be prepared, but if you are ok with the noise and like beer, then this is the place for you.

Went for a late night drink (10 15) and enjoyed a draught beer £5.10 and a large glass of wine £7.50

I ordered two cocktails at the bar. The barman forgot our order and had to come over to our table to confirm the order. Keep in mind the bar was basically empty, so he wasn't exactly rushed off his feet. My cocktail came in a wine glass which was only half full. Basic cocktails at extortionate prices. The zombie cocktail was £13.

This place is great - definitely one to come back to over and over again! There is such an extensive menu of beers to suit everyone.

This place is great. An outstanding selection of interesting craft beers on draught. The barman was more than happy to guide us through the selection, make recommendations, give tasters and generally chat about all things beer related. Also, there was some really tasty homemade beef jerky.

Came in after rugby on Saturday night as we had heard they had a great selection of Belgium beers.The staff were excellent and took time to go over the various choices and even gave us samples to try before ordering.We loved this place and will come back.We didn't have any food but what they brought out looked great

Fantastic food and service at this new bar. Loved the fact you can have anything on the menu as a starter or main. The bouillabaisse was wonderful and the burger brilliant . The staff are all so friendly and we will definitely be back
