Singkown House in Allerdale

Order took over an hour and a half to arrive. Food cold and frozen chips. Staff rude when calling for an update on the whereabouts of our order. Absolutely awful avoid.

Ordered over the phone. They stopped me from talking 3 times so they could take orders from people in the shop. Thought right fine they must be busy. Went to collect and they don’t accept card. So went home and returned with cash. Stood in the shop for 10 mins while other people were served and the phone was being answered and I was ignored. Also witnessing the hygiene of the workers there I was totally put off So I left and went to another Chinese. Currently sat at home eating Chinese from another shop and they have just gone me over an hour later for me to collect. Won’t return

This use to be the best Chinese in town. However recently changed staff, and I had a takeaway 4 weeks ago, and the "chicken" was like rubber, and the chips which again use to be the best were just soggy. I gave it another chance tonight, same result, horrible chicken curry, no taste. Will be trying somewhere else next time.

Lovely chinese, nearly always go here but why change to frozen chips?? Chips from here were lovely, now your meals spoilt if you do order them with your meal

Best Chinese I've found compared to Seaton, Cleator Moor and this is the best portions and flavour. Friendly staff, quick to order and collect, normal menu choices.

Eat regularly from this takeaway, I haven't eaten many choices off the menu but those that I've tried I've never been disappointed. We've recently gone vegan and although there are no vegan options on the menu they will cook a vegan option. Friendly staff. Delivery can take a while I can only put that down to it being a busy takeaway.

Had chow mein, the meat was false, tasted like cheap chopped up spam, my hubby had curry which he enjoyed. Had the meat have been real this could have been a nice meal

TERRIBLE customer service - the customer most definitely is not right in this establishment! Not helpful and rude. Food not as nice as previous ownership.

This used to be the go to place about 5 years ago. Gone dramatically down hill. 1 portion of spare ribs costing 12 was enough to not come back again. Peking Express on Finkle Street is the one to go to now!

Chinese dishes are very good but fried items are terribly grease laden. Service was prompt, polite and I did not have to wait long. Staff overalls are supposed to be white I think but looked very grey!

This is my local Chinese takeaway and by far the best in Workington! If you don't like something they're happy to leave it out for you 😊
