Not the cheapest but really good quality chinese food

Read the reviews and was a little apprehensive, however I can only go by our experience and that was good. Service was good, the food well presented and tasty and the house wine very good. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and would defiantly go again.

Fantastic restaurant and excellent food

Pretty quick service, I would say, they're are just straight onto drinks even before you sit down and then onto mains as soon as drinks are there. Efficient I would say, feel free to ask for time if you aren't ready, but that would be just 5 mins tops. Friendly bunch, noodles were good, crispy duck pretty dry (probably that's how it should be). Kids ate nice, kid friendly place and enough space. Nice ambience. I asked for a dry martini, and they gave me what their inbthe picture while I was expecting a proper cocktail with olives. Lemon slice was a add on that I dripped after explaining three times. They just couldn't get it what Dry Martini cocktail is and kept pointing to their own cocktail menu. Well, we weren't there for cocktails but Chinese food, which was decent. Overall, we were satisfied with our visit.

Very disappointing. The hot and sour soup was too thick which was sent back, the main dishes was very bland. Ordered salt and's pepper chips which was very thin fries. Over priced for the quality of food received.

Food was good but service poor. Starter 4 meals 3 arrived 4th meal arrived 10 minutes later. Main meal 4 ordered 3 arrived minutes later 4th meal arrived. No tip given

visited during the week and the place was not very busy. food was nice and service was ok but not the best…we were given about 20 seconds to choose our food so when the waitress came we said can we have a few more minutes to decide and she literally came back about 30 seconds later so again we asked for more time (this happened about 4 times) and on the last occasion she misheard our request for more time and for her pen ready to take our order! we laughed this off however when it came time to pay the bill she actually said “service charge is not included” which was a hint for a tip which is fine but then as my partner handed his card over she then said “some tip”, “you like to add some tip”! i felt very embarrassed as we can’t always afford to tip and the service had not even been tip worthy….we gave her £5 and left but I regretted tipping her if i’m honest. Sing Faye…i don’t think you should ask for a tip, it should be the customers choice

went tonight for tea with family for 6 and a baby. Food was just ok. Nothing great nothing bad. Very expensive for 6 people. wont be going again.

Called after our knowsley bmx training session with the kids. The food was outstanding, served hot and very tasty. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.

Visited here with high expectations as had been told good things about the place. Took ages to get a drinks order. They kept asking if we wanted our food all together or in order starter and main, we said altogether as there was kids in the group. This was ignored and long wait times between courses occurred. Main meals came and to be honest it just average and no better than a regular take away. Apart from that good time was had , probably wouldn't go back anytime soon though.

We went last month and the food was great. We got the banquet for two which seems a bit pricey but by then time you add up all the extra bits, you’ve spent more. The service was great, the staff are very very friendly. Looking forward to going again.

One of our group has a peanut allergy which we told the staff about before ordering. Satay sauce served after staff assured us no peanuts were in the banquet.

We have frequented this place for many years. The food is fresh and extremely tasty and the service is warm and very efficient. The decor is a little tired now but the place still has a great vibe and we always come away totally satisfied. The honey and sweet chill chicken is a big favourite of mine and something I haven't found anywhere else. The prawn toast is exceptional and the portions are extremely generous. My mouth is watering just writing about it! Just go, you won't be disappointed and don't let the reviews of the take away service affect your view of the restaurant. Sounds like they are completely poles apart!

Definitely n ot the cheapest but you get what you pay for. The food was first class, roasting hot and so,so tasty. Service was first class. All in all a fantasting venue to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Thank you Sing Faye for a great evening

Lovely friendly staff, food was gorgeous

We ordered 3 portions of egg fried rice. They bought fried rice in a small bowl. We asked if there is more to come as we thought it was one portion. They said its 3 portions in one bowl. I guess it was bcoz they were so embarrassed to serve 3 portions in 3 separate bowls as the quantity is so small. I will not go to the place or recommend this place anymore.

I hadn't been there for many years so we decided to go as we always said we wanted to go back. As soon as we sat down they came over for drinks order as soon as they came with the drinks they asked for our order it felt rushed and didn't have enough time to look at the menu;there wasn't alot of options. the chicken had a slimy texture and no taste. The food was awful and expensive for what it was. The waitress asked for a tip/service charge as it wasn't included in the price. Wouldn't be going back bth

Booked table for 4 last night. Soup, starter and duck where great. The 4 mains in the banquet where poor in our(all4) opinions The 2 chicken dishes especially where slimmy and had no texture of chicken. Both dishes sent back at end of meal almost untouched. Asked if you would like them for take away, we declined. As discussed as not nice No apologies! Opon the staff approaching to take payment. We where informed 3 times, service charge not included (less than a30 seconds period) Then asked would I like to increase my payment again when i presented my card. Good service and food will gain my acknowledgement of a tip on production This was definitely not one of them. Won't be returning tbh. £168 Inc drinks for 4

Everything was good, food and service. Parking is really good.

Booking was easily done online and communication with the restaurant via telephone re: confirmation was excellent. A warm welcome was given on arrival and throughout the meal all staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Ordering and receiving of the courses was efficient yet time was given if required between courses. We never felt rushed and any requests were dealt with quickly. The choice of food was excellent and all food was delicious. The extra special things such as hot white cloths for hands, fortune cookies and fresh oranges were lovely touches. Overall an excellent dining experience and we will return very soon. To avoid disappointment I recommend booking as the restaurant was very popular.

I have not been here for quite a few years but after the lovely food we had I would definitely be going back. It was manic when we went so I think the atmosphere and service was hindered by this but the food was really good.

Birthday / Family meal, really nice place to visit, looks the part, super friendly staff on hand and amazing food! Nice to get there a little early and enjoy the bar area also. Definitely best Chinese in North West.

Gorgeous meal out tonight. Everything was spot on and reasonably priced. Would recommend the honey roasted chicken wings and the prawn toast. Service was fantastic tasked for a quiet table as partner has sensory issues and we're more than accommodating. Will definitely go back

Food ok. But 84 pound 2 people that was a banquet for 2 and 2 drinks. The bill came and we were asked fir 10.percent service charge . No chance I'll.tip when I want so.paid 84 and left.cheeky waitress asking for 8 40 . Won't be back

Decent food at a fair price but there’s nothing special about this Chinese Restaurant. Set in the busy East Lancs Road, we stopped off because we’d enjoyed a top-class meal there several years ago, when it had a different name and, presumably, different management. You get bumper servings and the set banquets start at £25 a head. But I couldn’t help thinking all the sauces (from the hot and sour soup to the barbecue flavour on the sizzling beef) had all come from a jar rather than being freshly made. Slightly disappointed and might drive on past next time.

We visited here on holiday because I used to eat here 20 years ago and we wanted to see if it still existed. The name has changed but the bespoke Chinese building is still the same. Entering the building there is an a bridge over a pond inhabited by some Koi Carp with two fountains. This sets the mood for a Chinese eating experience with a difference. The staff were very friendly and helpful at explaining some of the dishes, and there is plenty of variety in the menu making it difficult to choose. The dim sum starter platter is wonderful and all of our main courses were tasty and plentiful. If I visit this area again I will definitely return here for another great night out.

Great time with the whole family, the only thing that annoyed me is part of our food come 20 mins after the first part so we had a plate of rice to start with and didn't get the rest of the meal until 20 minutes time which was the only thing that let it down

This is my fourth visit, the food is consistently hot and tasty. Even the spare ribs had their fat cooked to perfection for me. The staff are very polite and are always smiling. They bring the food to you quickly and don't leave you in limbo waiting for service. The restaurant is clean and we'll looked after with interesting decor. The beef in black bean sauce is sooo delicious! I always recommend Sing Faye and I'll deffo, deffo be going back again soon!

Came to the restaurant as a birthday present for my grandson, party of 7, and two children ages 8 and 2 years, staff very polite and helpful with the menu, high chair already positioned at the reserved table, selected Banquet B, £30 per head, food came out very quickly and plenty of it, gave enough time through each course and not rushed, my 2 year old granddaughter kept pointing to a wood carving sat on the window ledge, lady staff member took time to explain with her phone who was the carving and what religion it was from and its represention, which I thought was very nice, I would sat it was a very relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant I would definitely be returning again, thank you to all the staff for making it so nice for him

We have had many take outs from the Sing Faye restaurant over the years, so were looking forward to this one. I collected a takeaway for four people, a mixture of starters and main courses. Sweetcorn soup and seaweed very nice but the main courses were really disappointing. The crispy chilli beef was served separately to the sauce and I can see why; it had absolutely no flavour to it other than chilli and was as thin as water. The skewered mixed veg had about four florets of brocoli and not worth the £5+ being charged for the dish. The fried mixed veg with cashew in birds nest was so deep fried in oil it was unedible. This was an expensive take out and sadly not worth the money. I'm not sure why it was so bad maybe they were prioritising the restaurant which was busy but sadly we won't be giving it another try.

Ate here a few times, always been OK, not the best but a mediocre maybe slightly above par resturant. Visited recently and felt as though the staff where waiting to snaffle your plate as soon as you take your last mouthful of food. Hovering around making awkward eye contact. Don't get me wrong, the food was lovely, didn't have a complaint about the food. But then when I paid the bill the lady asked if I was leaving a tip. I declined. She then asked me again straight away and said I have only paid for food and drink, no service charge on the bill. I declined again and she started talking in Chinese to another staff member before giving me the card machine. Now, I'm not one of these people who refuse to give a tip, tips where tips are due. Even if the service isn't great l normally leave a couple of quid, but not when your practically trying to shame me into tipping. I fully intended to leave a tip until that happened. I'll be giving it a miss from now on.

Such an incredible place. Firstly, as soon as you come through the door, you are greeted with friendly smiles and a very cosy and welcoming vibe. I've been to Sung Faye a few times now with my mum and we are always served by the most loveliest lady. Such a joy to speak to and genuinely cares about your experience. A true credit to the restaurant. Secondly, the food is simply stunning. You can tell its freshly cooked and perfect. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for an authentic Chinese meal. Fantastic Chinese restaurant. The food was very hot and cooked perfectly. Very fast service. Only thing I could mention is, they don't put knives out. Pretty sure they would have given me one if I'd asked,but the spring rolls were very hot and biting into them was a bit hot in my mouth.

Very Friendly Staff and Excellent Food 👌

Went here last night...it was a Wednesday and that probably accounted for the lack of diners and, therefore, the lack of much atmosphere... The food was EXCEPTIONALLY good! Best Chinese food I've had in a VERY long time! Service was good too! Lovely staff! My only complaint was that the restaurant was so cold! I will certainly be back though! We may even use it as our favourite takeaway too...albeit that it is, by far, not the closest to us...the food would be worth that extra journey!

Understaffed, understaffed, umderstaffed..

Very polite and welcoming upon arrival, was very quick to get our order even though it was quite busy-ish. The food was quick to come but the quality wasn't compromised I was so surprised, it was all fresh and extremely tasty. The chicken wings were the best I've had in a long time 👏🏻 Great draught beer also 🍻 will definitely be returning!

Once again the food was excellent and plentiful with attentive and accommodating staff in a very pleasant atmosphere.. Some of my party were visiting from Cyprus and were happy with the experience.

Terrible , service poor , chicken fried rice had about 8 matchstick size piece of chicken and nothing else , meals were Poor and starters poor , looked at reviews before we came and they can’t be true also when paying by card the rude lady said don’t forget the tip !?!? rude indeed

We visited Sing Faye for our night out as it was local and was somewhere we had not been for some time. The restaurant is nice although it lacks a little ambience with no background music. Myself and my partner chose one of the banquets for two, the soup was nice but then everything that followed was just average and no better than a regular take away. Lots of the food items had been deep fried and by the texture we knew that the ingredients were all frozen. This is not a cheap place to eat and so we were overall disappointed with the experience, needless to say we will not return.

Plenty of parking, lovely water feature as you enter the building. They accommodated us on a busy night with very short notice, catered to special dietary requirements and served us quality food. Thanks

Had my 60th birthday celebration here at the end of Jan. Lots of great menu options including quite a few different banquets. Food was served quickly and was really delicious. Good portion sizing. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back!

Unfortunately we found the food wasn't that good. The Thai green curry had a very peculiar taste, the szechuan was very bland. We won't rush back.

We visited here many years ago and remembered the food & atmosphere to be excellent. We booked on a Saturday night, thankfully we did book, as it soon got very busy, which is great sign. It is a very clean, traditionally decorated restaurant. When we were seated I remarked how cold it was & noticed on two different tables people had their coats on. I heard one tell the staff. I refused to wear my coat, especially when eating as shouldn’t need to in a restaurant. We ordered Banquet B & the waitress was very helpful in allowing us to change the main meal selection. The delivery of the soup, the dim sum & the duck was very quick & was very nice. Unfortunately, we then waited over 50 minutes for the main course. The staff were very busy, & when I asked about our meals (I thought they’d forgotten about us), she said she would check for us. A few minutes later we received our food. However,we felt that cold that we only ate a couple of mouthfuls & asked for the bill, which was a shame. Overall, although the food was nice, it was a bit overpriced as were the drinks, £4 a glass of Diet Coke! They definitely need to put the heating on for customer comfort especially when we are paying so much for the food! Unfortunately we won’t be visiting again.

Booked table for 2 for 5.30 ...opens at 5 but already very busy ...which is good ...what wasn't good was that a lot of people were sitting at their tables with coats on ...the restaurant was freezing! I think it was warmer outside! Someone from a large table by us complained and asked for the heating to be turned up...I'm not even sure it was actually turned on! Apart from the temperature our 2 starters arrived 15 minutes apart...and the warm plates were soon cold by the time the main course arrived...we normally tip well but on this occasion we didn't tip at all...the food was lovely and I may go back again but probably in the summer lol

Just had a meal here with my husband and son. Excellent food and lovely staff. We had ribs, chicken satay and duck to start. All piping hot and delicious. Then we had fillet steak, lamb gamma and chilli chicken. Once again really good tasty food! The staff were all really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was busy but that didn’t stop the service being fantastic. Super impressed, we will be back soon thank you!

Love food nice place but some of the staff need to be more pleasent plus when I paid the bill I get asked to pay a tip I was giving a tip as I always do, but not when I'm getting asked so cheeky...been again and the banquet was amazing but just like the last visit the same waiter asked for a tip he dsnt even smile everyone else in there is so lovely...wanted to give 5 for service but knocked it down for the cheeky waiter

We had the Christmas banquet for 2 people. It was absolutely gorgeous. All freshly cooked and beautiful flavours. We really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend any of the meals there. The staff are lovely. We have been there on many occasions and have never been disappointed.

Food is delicious, served quickly and hot but the restaurant was quite chilly we were shivering by the end of the meal soft drinks are expensive.

Went to this restaurant, quite the ambience and lively. The service is good but always busy a little understaffed but waiters are accommodative. Tasty food at reasonable price for everyone.

Went for a family members 30th birthday. Table for 9, really spacious and bright (1 party memeber has sight issues so perfectly lit). We all ordered starters and mains and the food could not be faulted nor the service. Its the first time ive visited this place and 100% would recommend and re visit again. They offer a take away (collection only) service with 20% of menu prices. They have a large car park and offer private functions too. For the quality of food and service we had it cant be faulted.

Delicious food and wine in a very comfortable and authentic setting. The little bridge, fishpond and fountain is always a wonderful welcome that greets customers on arrival into the restaurant.

Excellent food - as always but they kept coming over wanting to take away plates before we had all finished eating. Who wants to be left finishing their soup with the rest of the table empty of all dishes as though they were the only one to have had a starter; or feeling like you need to rush because rest of your family have finished. Also, they repeatedly kept coming over asking did we want more drinks before we’d finished our other drink - really annoying, particularly when you’ve got a mouthful of food or in the middle of a conversation and have to stop to answer. It wasn’t too busy so we would have been noticed if we needed to ask for more drinks. Such a shame as we have always enjoyed going there and usually would give 5*

The food and service were excellent. Nice atmosphere in premises and staff attentive. The extras - hot hand towel fresh fruit and hand wipe - make it well worth a visit. One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to.

Lettuce Wrap, which I expected to be like Yuk Sung, had very little meat mainly chunky onions. Spare ribs was extremely good.

We went as a party of 12, including 2 children. Four of us had a banquet, the rest chose from the main menu. Those of us who had the banquet really enjoyed it; the food was good - but not worth the price. In the main, those who chose from the main menu didn't enjoy what they had. And again, expensive. The staff were like robots - efficient but no friendliness, and presented dishes by leaning across at least one of us but often two - scalding accident waiting to happen. Probably won't visit again.
