Bamboo Garden in St. Helens

Not proper chippy chips or fried rice , looked and tasted like it had all come out of a freezer, in fact there was no taste to the rice and wasn’t fried . The chips where steak cut chips just threw in the fryer. Very disappointed , have used this chippy before but never again

Just tried bambo garden to get the chilli beef and rice x2 Only given 1 so had to go back Should of took it all back Chilli beef was like eating coal so don't really know what that was but tasted descusting. Through in the bin & went to the big chippy in prescot. Big difference how can people eat that, just discusting meals.

Most disgusting food ever had , full of oil tasted nothing like anything described would never order from here again.

The meat which was in my special chow mein was horrible the chicken didn't look like or taste like chicken,plus the beef was awful as well I was surprised cos food normally good .

Sorry but this is the worst Chinese I've had, food is very bland, chips are clearly frozen ones, warms up. prawn crackers are nice though. Will probably not go here again sorry, thought it was expensive for what we got 👎

Stood outside and nearly got ran over from the woman who worked there when she mounted the kerb onto the path with no warning then continued to reverse when she could very clearly see us standing on the path! Got out her car and started shouting this is my space I can do what I want! Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Would not go near this place they have dead flys along the window and on the menus

Just bought Chicken Curry from here and the chicken was awful..like rubber and undercooked. I rang to complain and they said that's the way they cook it...boiled and put in the curry. Won't be going here again!

Below average, chips tasted of actual cardboard and had been sitting in the bag a good while so were cold plus they were cheap frozen chips, vermicelli tasted strange and salt and pepper chicken was tough, spent £26 and didn't even give me free prawn crackers oh and it took 1 hour 20 mins...waste of time and money won't be going again 👎🏼

I’m sorry to say but this place doesn’t even deserve a 1-star. We placed an order for takeaway tonight, Tuesday 2nd March @ 17:25, which consisted of one main meal, a portion of noodles, a portion of chips and a sausage for our 2 year old son. Not exactly a ridiculously large order. Upon placing the order we were told that it would be a 45 minute wait for delivery, which we quite happily agreed to. 18:35 arrived, and sadly we were still waiting for our delivery to arrive! I called the restaurant back to query what had happened and ask why we were still waiting so long after to be told that our food was only just being cooked, and the driver was out delivering other food deliveries. When I questioned why our food was only just being cooked and asked for an estimation of how much longer we would be waiting, I was told that they didn’t know where the driver was and it would be about 15 minutes? Feeling a little bit frustrated and angry at this point, I kindly asked to speak to a manager, to be told that there wasn’t a manager there for me to speak to?? As you can imagine, my anger and frustration continued to build. In my opinion this is extremely bad practise in so many ways. You can’t possibly expect to run a busy and successful business by feeding your customers false information and expectations. I would totally expect a wait this long on a busy Saturday night, however on a Tuesday night, I am extremely disappointed to have been waiting this long after we were originally told that our food would be delivered in approx 40-45 minutes. Safe to say, we have wasted over an hour and a half now waiting for food that I have now had to cancel, and more disappointingly, our 2 year old was still waiting for his tea! I would most certainly never order from here again, nor could I ever think of recommending it to anyone else! All I can say is good luck to anyone that does place an order....prepare yourself for extra long waits and extremely poor customer service if you have to ring up to question where your order is!

Ordered tonight super quick delivery, piping hot and best of all the food was spot on bbq ribs & salt pepper chicken lovely. Definitely order again and definitely recommend this chinese

I had the pleasure of ordering meals for myself and daughter and grandchildren, I was really surprised not just the price of 6 full meals £41.00. I will be defenately going there again, this was the best Chinese meal ever. Very well done (Bamboo Garden) and thank you.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE IF YOU LIVE WITHIN 3 MILES. The food is excellent, but if ordering online and within 3 miles you’re charged for delivery, and they dont care either.

ABSOLUTELY love the food here... Its so tasty and such good value for money ..staff are pleasant and very kind slipping in an extra bag of prawn crackers free of charge. 👍

We only ever order Chinese from here- for years! We've never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, and the food is always great. Arrives hot and reasonably priced.

Absolutely vile, chips were warm ups and oil was old, curry was like water and a funny luminous yellow colour, chicken fried rice tasted funny and the prawn crackers were so badly overcooked i couldn't even eat any, everything went in the bin and i mean everything, this was after an hour delivery plus everything arrived just about luke warm...very poor service & we certainly will never go again it was terrible and the ones saying its nice are liars and/or must have the pallet of a dog!!! 👎👎👎

Twice I've ordered from here and although the food was mostly fine, they deliver when they feel like it and pay no attention to the time you select. People prefer order a time slot for a reason, yet both times they delivered half an hour early.

Wont be ordering from here again as its the only chinese restaurant that doesnt give free prawn crackers, the food quality doesnt compliment the fact you get nothing for free after spending a fortune so wont be ordering again.

They always deliver really fast, despite us ordering at tea time on a Friday, and the food is really good. The salt and pepper chicken is amazing!

The order/delivery time was brill! But the food wasn't as good the 'Chicken' fried rice wasn't really any different to regular boiled rice... and for the price it was quite disappointing. But the portions was very good. I do recommend here as all the other food was good and cooked to a high standard

Excellent food as always; arrived 20 mins before time on order. The only negative is the delivery charge - we ordered 2meals so the delivery charge is an extra 20%

sent another order after my 1st order. cost me £50. not impressed. i came home in to 2 meals. 1 of the meals cost £20 went straight in the bin. not a thing i would have ordered. my meal was fine.

Typically, a great food restaurant. We've had a hit & miss relationship with Bamboo Garden. Often great, sometimes terrible, very slow delivery. Wonderful Won Tony Soup
