Simply Indian in High Peak

The first time we have eaten here, although they have been our go to take away for many years, food as usual was excellent but it was so much better with great service and not having to wash the pots!

Ordered a curry . GRANTED was late but our butter chicken tasted like campbells tomato soup . Even after a few drinks we'd eat anything but couldnt even do it . Nasty and horrible a total waste of 37 quid

We have visited this resturant many times and they never let us down. The curries are flavoursome and hot (temp). My little girl loves the starters. Service with a smile.

As a favourite restaurant of my in-laws, we came as a group for an enjoyable evening meal. It was very quiet, and the staff weren’t properly wearing masks (during a period where this was required), nor were they especially friendly. They brought more poppadoms than we asked for, which was a minor irritation. Similarly, I ordered the balti navabi chicken, which was pretty tasty, but didn’t appear to have any chickpeas or green peppers as it stated on the menu, but did contain a surprise of a sliced boiled egg. Overall the food and meal was nice, but definitely some room for improvement.

My husband and I had a takeaway for our 50th wedding anniversary..the meal was terrible most went in the bin.. I rang them didn't even get an appology...it was ment to be special for our golden wedding anniversary....

Our takeaway arrived late had been on a joy ride past our house finally delivered 15 minutes late took meal out of the bag to find all the curry sauce had came out of the containers and leaked into the paper bag and the whole meal ended up on the floor. We rang the restaurant to be told we would have to buy the meal again as they wouldn’t take responsibility I was a regular customer sitting in and ordering takeaway so I am a VERY DISAPPOINTED ex customer

Went from London to trek and summit Mam Tor and surrounding peaks. Found this restaurant on google serving Naga Curries (extremely hot). When we arrived the staff were very attentive, the food arrived on time, there was good timing in between the starters and mains. We ordered mix starters for 4, prawn puri x5, 2 naga lamb curries, 1 chicken naga curry, 1 chicken tikka biryani, 1 lamb biryani, 1 garlic naan, 1 peshawari naan, tarka dhal x2, and of course poppadoms. Portions were great and the food was delicious 👍 The staff were always on hand to help accommodate our requests. Lovely food, highly recommend to visit this place!

Me and my boyfriend ordered a takeaway from here, and I was delighted with my curry and impressed by the service. It arrived a bit earlier than expected and definitely exceeded my expectations. Delicious... the best Indian I’ve had in this area - hands down :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Extremely disappointed with the service, the curry was late, and then completely messed up our order when there were SPECIFIC DIETARY requirements! Careless and completely unacceptable, caused a lot of upset and will definitely never be ordering from here again!

This place can’t get orders right, they provide food that’s not edible by the family and they’re not interested when you complain.

Take aways always quick to deliver or quick service when we collect, best onion bhaji’s in town too! Specials chicken delight is always a favourite or a dupiaza for a bit of a change. Good, generous portion sizes too and reasonably priced

Rang up and asked for anything that was a vegan option, the man who answered the phone was extremely unhelpful and asked what ‘Vegan’ meant, when I explained he didn’t bother to check he just told me they didn’t do ‘that sort of food’ and left it at that. Not asking for loads or even any options however I would like for people to at least check.

I was staying in New Mills for a few weeks through work and tried the simply Indian on a Sunday evening.I had a courteous greeting,the waiter offered me the special menu ,it was very reasonable priced and the food was delicious I will definitely return again

This was my second visit to this place to have a meal with a group of friends. As usual we were given a very friendly welcome by the staff. We all decided to do their mid-week deal which was around £10 this included poppadum's with chutneys, which were all very nice and tasty, fairly standard but good enough with crisp fresh poppadum's. We then could choose from a range of starters. I opted for the fish bhuna puri, which was delicious mildly spiced sauce with loads of fish in it, on a fried puri bread. I then had the lamb naga which was full of flavour and spice, and as it said on the menu was very spicy. As part of the deal you could choose a range of main courses, and pay extra for some of the more expensive dishes. I had a lovely mushroom pilau rice with this and a keema nan, which could have done with a bit more of the minced keema meat. With this meal I had a indian IPA beer which makes a nice change from lager, although they did have a range of lagers if people wanted those.Overall a great experience, great curry and great service.

Modern contemporary decor, two minutes walk from New Mills Central Station. Friendly, welcoming service. Huge menu choice, good quality cuts of meat, good portions and well presented. Large, light, very fluffy Nan breads, not stodgy!

We happened to be looking for somewhere to eat having changed trains in New Mills and chanced upon this Indian restaurant, and were glad we did! The 5 hygiene rating was a good start. The friendly waiter advised us of the deal on Mondays to Wednesdays which for a couple meant poppadoms with chutney, two mains, rice and naan, plus bottle of House wine, all for £22.95! The food was great and sufficient for us! We paid a couple of quid extra for a King prawn dish but still brilliant value. The place was smart too, including the toilets, with soap available, always a plus in our eyes! We'll come again.

Visited this evening with our son and daughter in law. We all had lovely meals. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

Very friendly staff, clean and airy restaurant excellent varied menu and great food. I would say its the best Indian food I have had.

This was my first time to this place. Going with a group of friends. We all plumped for their 10.95 menu. We started with crisp poppadoms and a range of average chutneys. You could choose from a wide range of starters. I had the lamb bhuna puri which was tasty with a reasonable amount of lamb. I had the lamb shashlick karahi which was well presented on my plate, with a lot of lamb and veg in it. It was not very spicy which was a little disappointing. We shared a range of rice's. Myself having a pleasant mushroom rice, and a decent keema nan. A highlight was the ipa beer they had which was very nice. They also have a extensive range of other dishes which are not part of the deal. Good service and a pleasant restaurant.

Monthly curry club looking revisiting an old venue. Three older couples with varying tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food reasonably priced for the quality of an interesting menu. Tables had plenty of room. Only one gripe: chairs became uncomfortable before the end of the meal. (We might have stayed for dessert/coffee if a couple of us hadn't been suffering discomfort)

Took a friend over from Australia, & not been in awhile sadly, the food was incredible to say the least, couldn’t recommend anywhere better, the service was second to none too, Thank you guys fora brilliant evening 👏👏👏👏👏

I have been many times to Simply Indian. It is always lovely food with friendly staff. Always happy to do us a doggy bag because the portions are so large. They also do take aways

A great atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff in a spacious restaurant. The food was so fresh and tasty; the portions were plentiful. If you don't have a huge appetite it would be wise to share a rice dish and/or naan (if ordering them)!

The food in here was ok and the staff were attentive and friendly but there was just no wow! We were in on a friday night between 8 and 10 and only 2 other couples came in.

This was my 2nd visit here, and this is my boyfriend’s regular curry house. It’s consistently fantastic. The first time together, we’d finished a 5 mile walk around New Mills in the pouring rain and constant mud, we arrived looking incredibly dishevelled and caked in mud... they welcome us anyway, and we ate like kings!!! Onion Bajis were gorgeous, and we’re slowly working our way through the House Specials section of the menu. The peshwari naan can’t be missed, it’s amazing! And on our 2nd visit I tried the house red wine which was lovely. Service is always of a great standard, and prices are fair. We love it here and it’ll definitely become our joint regular curry house :)

Al final de un ajetreado sólo tenías un restaurante de curry indio. Aunque había estado unos años antes este superado totalmente mis expectativas. Originalmente vienen de nuevo a la izquierda, pero Mills hace muchos años, y ahora estoy más experimentado visitar los restaurantes indios en Sheffield y Nottingham. Éste es fácilmente el mejor igual a ellos, si no superior. La comida era deliciosa y las porciones eran totalmente comida más que generoso. El Jai pur era una delicia probar. Estoy muy ansioso por volver. Increíble

Food was lovely, visited with work colleagues we had 5 items for £9.99 really good price,and plenty to eat, service was a bit slow, but will defiantly be going again with my family.

Hemos estado visitando únicamente India durante mucho tiempo ahora. Nos solía pensar que el único lugar para conseguir un buen curry fue a lo largo de la Curry Mile en Rusholme en Manchester, entonces tratamos únicamente India literalmente en nuestra puerta y se han enganchado desde entonces. La comida y el servicio es muy bueno en general

Nice place to eat indian food. A big variety of indian food on the menu. Remember to order rice on the side. Staffing was helpful in selecting from the menu. Nice toilets.

There are no Indians in Peak Forest, nor Chinese! We are a small village with a pub & a church, not even a shop!!

Este restaurante celebró su 10° aniversario en New Mills en 2014 Noviembre 13 y ofrecen comidas a mitad de precio en el momento de efectuar la reserva para ese día.

Hemos estado aquí un par de veces. Este indio es bueno, pero no excepcional. No dudaría en volver. El servicio es bueno y la comida es buena sin ser excepcional. La decoración es buena y me encanta la música india auténtica jugó en el fondo. menú variado con uno o dos especialidades de la casa que no he visto en otro lugar
