Buxton Tandoori in High Peak

The guy there was very friendly great vibe but the food was the nicest I’ve had in a while living in Buxton, you usually have to travel along the way to get decent food, but this being right around the corner is perfect for birthdays (which it was mine when I went) all the food we ordered was amazing down to the popadoms the food was to good to waste! Had to get it to take back and ate it all for my lunch! Amazing place altogether eating in or out. Never recommend an indian more especially Buxton as the food we have is very poor this was an absolute saver, not much more dearer than spoons to and definitely not microwaved bagged toxic waste like spoons!

Well priced and tasty Indian takeaway

We visited buxton for a weekend. Alhumdulilah found this takeaway close by ... Friendly staff.. genourously sized portions n very reasonablly priced... Definitely be going there for an other takeout.

I was quite disappointed with my recent order. I ordered biryani, but what I received was more like fried rice. The dish lacked the rich and aromatic flavors typical of biryani. It was bland, tasteless, and had no enticing aroma. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations at all.

This was one of the best chicken korma and rice I have tasted the naan was piping hot and cooked to perfection.

We are not from around here so wasn't sure where to go. We had the set meal for 2 and it looks like we made a great choice. Friendly staff, really nice food. Great price. Would visit again for sure.

Spicy chips wasn't spiced at all. Chicken tikka was more like a korma

I ordered king prawn balti. There was 3 Prawns in the curry. I get king Prawns are expensive, but you do pay quite a bit more for king Prawns balti than any other balti , so there should be more than just 3 . To much onion as the base sauce. Been using this takeaway for years but now the quality has definelty gone down hill

In my opinion I've live in Buxton 30yrs been to may takeaways in town and this was the very best takeaway out of all of them everything was perfect I ate everything I ordered highly recommended and I will definitely be ordering from here again thanks Buxton tandoori

Staff are rude, eating food while preparing food. Microwaving chicken that's been sat in a bucket on the side (not in a fridge) 30minutes for a simple naan bread and some chicken inside when the chicken is pre cooked is a complete joke. I WONT ever be going back here and I hope H&S see and take action. This place is going to kill someone one day

Visiting Buxton for the weekend and picked up one of the ´set meal’ takeaways on Friday evening. Absolutely outstanding ! So much food - we got two meals out of it. Everything was delicious and will definitely be back next time we’re there. Recommended - you will not be disappointed ! 💕

Clean kitchen (you’re in it when you collect !) and very friendly staff. Food was pretty good too - certainly above average (we eat a LOT of Indian/Bangladeshi food), and the portions are very generous. Naan breads were the stand-out here - very nice. Picture was chicken vindaloo and peas pilau.

Truly an amazing Indian takeaway, our whole order was piping hot and cooked to perfection! If you're in Buxton do not hesitate to order!

The prices are good but the food made for one of the worst takeaways I’ve ever had. Maybe I’m spoilt living in Manchester with some very very good curry houses in the city, but this was beyond disappointing.

What I really like about this place, is that you can watch all the food get cooked! The food is very fresh and is very cheap. Normally a starter, main and naan doesn't surpass £16. The portions are brilliant as well. The biriyani is very nice as well as the Balti Exotica.

Our first visit to the Buxton Tandoori as we have only moved into the area today but we will definitely be using the place again, excellent service and great food. Take away only, no delivery or restaurant, but definitely give it a go.

Food is always superb and freshly cooked with no negative issues whatsoever, service is pleasant and quick/efficient. I can never find any faults with either the food or service , I have been using this takeaway for around 4years and will continue to do so in years to come

My favourite local curry! The only reasons I've knocked off a star is because there's no delivery and it's cash only. The food is phenomenal though and worth the drive to pick it up. By far my favourite local takeaway.

We asked them to do the catering for our wedding after using them for many years as a takeaway. I cannot recommend them more highly! The manager asked me afterwards how they could have improved, and the simple answer was they couldn't! The whole arrangements from our first call to the delivery of the food was 100% fantastic! Everyone said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! It was absolutely perfect and the attitude of all the team was so professional, and they so wanted to make our day special. We had a full vegetarian menu and even the children who we catered pizza for ended up eating the curries and side dishes. We had 110 guests and there was loads spare and tastes just as good after freezing. It was the best choice we could of made for our wedding party and can't thank them enough for doing the catering!

Best curry house in Buxton. Always consistently great food and friendly service. What are you waiting for?! Please be advised, at this moment in time they don't currently accept card payments over their counter, but they are on just eat if you really need to pay via card.

Really disappointed in my food from Buxton Tandoori tonight. didn't mind waiting as I knew they were busy with it being a Saturday night, but several people came and went with their food without anyone even checking in with me to let me know wait times or any update on my order. Have been ordering from there for years, but recieved a ridiculously small portion tonight. I would have preferred to pay more for a decent sized portion rather than receiving a few spare pieces of chicken on a dry flatbread. Have always loved the food there but won't be visiting again.

One of a few halal places in Buxton, good luck finding others. Did not disappoint, ordered mainly grill food and it was all to a good standard. They do a variety from grill to curries and also chips, nuggets and variety of rice which was good for the kids. No complaints. Reasonably priced also. Keep it up guys.

I agree in completeness with Ant mcC. Has to be one of my top worst experiences of this kind in 36 years. If you want tomato paste curry come on down.

Very dissatisfied with this service. Upon arrival I was advised that only cash payments would be accepted so I had to drive to Morrison's, withdraw cash and then drive back to the takeaway - even though they are supposed to be verified by Visa. The food was mediocre and that's me being kind. I have been in the catering / customer service industry myself for over 20 years and I would be embarrassed to serve food like this to my customers.

Food is delicious, never stop ordering there if l want some curry and tillage masala for the kids. Always great with customer service

Really good place we found on our holiday in Buxton. We ordered Tandoori Chicken, which was really good, tasty and really well cooked. Customer service was excellent, when we told them that we prefer spicy, they made it as per our request. They were very friendly too. While we were waiting, we saw lots of people come to pick up their food and the owner/manager always greeted them in a very friendly manner. A very pleasant place. Would definitely recommend anyone wanting to try Tandoori and kebab food.

Food was great, price too. We had 3 dishes and enjoyed them all. Warning, they don't take card payments in the shop it's CASH only. I would recommend this shop it's takeaway only.
