Great food,just dont answer the phone too check the times that i never belheive on bank holidays.

2nd time coming to this place, drove round for ages trying to find it because it was so good last time! The food is all cooked really good, the portion sizes are just right, only chippy ive seen offer rice boxes and nice little meal deals that come all nicely made up in a box. The fish here is so juicy and cooked lovely. I dont normally leave reviews for chippys and quick dinner stops, But when you get served by lovely staff with a nice smile and then the food tastes so good and doesnt cost an arm and a leg…well youve got to leave them a review at that point! The best chippy around by a mile great staff and reasonably priced

Just had fish rice and curry and all I can say is it was superb disregard the reviews complaining of soggy food due to being placed in polystyrene trays as this isn’t the case now they’re in boxes so stays lovely and crispy would 💯 recommend this chippy best I’ve had in a long time thank you very much ☺️

This spot didn’t hit like my causal fishhy need better fish. go to the atlantic or smt and get some better fish. Found a 1 inch bone in my fish chippies were dry like my feet. horrible

my fish and chips were quite complicated

Excellent fish, chips,mushy peas and buttered muffin. Delivered on a monday night in lousy weather and they were hot and the batter was crispy. Sime reviews have said their meal was served in polystyrene, NOT IN THIS CASE SERVED IN PAPER LINED CARDBOARD CARTON IN A PAPER BAG only plastic was in the container for the mushy peas. This meal was delicious highly recommend

Polystyrene packaging ruined a delivery of fish & chips, mushy peas. Made the meal sweat resulting in soft batter & mushy chips. We were the 2nd or 3rd delivery from Just eat so probably didn’t help. HOWEVER, we have ordered from here before delivery & collection, cardboard packaging & no issues. Unfortunately based on this last order we probably won’t order again. Other meals were ok, only ok though….. but don’t want soggy fish & chips. Will order from our default now (Hills) which is a shame as you were the go to……ditch the polystyrene SWEATY packaging please & we will be back amongst other reviewers who have commented about the same issue. Don’t mind paying a bit more if it’s a packaging price point as it was a quality product when packaged in cardboard. Such a shame. If you want soggy fish & chips delivered to your house then order here. If you want crispy battered fish go elsewhere.

I used to love this chippy always raved about it but recently it has fell off, when the boss isn’t in the standards drop. Ask for fresh fish past 2 times I’ve been in and got old cabinet fish, chips slightly undercooked but I can deal with that. Hopefully they can get back to there best.

Be careful these will rob you blind and deny it ordered like 6 things 25 quid call it only to forget one order and then deny we placed the order...... sad when you have to check your food....

Asked for a lightly battered fish £5,50 which was mostly batter it was nice but I've had better , the girl on the counter was a bit abrupt which put me off , not a patch on Hills award winning chippy...

Great fish and chips used to use Armstrongs in Shaw but this is miles better proper chips not scraps friendly staff

Sadly the fish is a bit hit or miss here. The last one has the other day was thin and dry and not very pleasant. I ended up throwing most of it away. However the fish I got a few weeks ago was perfect!

Missing items, when I called the shop to ask for help I was basically told to travel to the shop my self or nothing will be done. My children's chippy tea treat was ruined. My family have always been loyal customers of Simply Fish but sadly we won't be returning. Customer service plays a huge part and courtesy should be a given when dealing the public, the young girl who I spoke with really needs some guidance in that area.

Brilliant fish and chips. Just a little pricey. £6.? For a mini fish and chips. I would value it at £4.50-£5. 4 & 1/2 stars for me.

There's not many places where you can tell care and attention went into every detail. It feels like the workers there looked at every part of the classic fish and chips and asked "what's the best way of making this", from the fish, to the chips, to the vividly green mushy peas. The food is cheap, delicious, generous. Their service was quick, polite, and graceful. The locale itself was pristinely clean, and had a nostalgic, quintessential British fish and chips look. Absolutely the best place for fish and chips, and is exactly what you want when you're nostalgic for a seaside chippy!

The staff and the food are lovely. Im hooked on the chips c/o pie ( homemade) curry sauce. Really nice and not to expensive.

Nice food and a good choice, staff always friendly. Need to reconsider use of polystyrene cartons though as they are very wasteful and make the chips "sweat" by the time they get home. Would prefer paper or a cardboard box.

Been to Simply Fish & Chips many times provide great service, never too busy, with quality food. Usually go for the fish and chips which are great also sometimes have the steak and kidney pudding which is also good. Can get delivery via Deliveroo if you want to use their service.

Awesome chippy, best English for miles. The shop is immaculate and the staff, very friendly and helpful. I would prefer hand-cut fresh chips, however my Son prefers frozen chips 🍟.

Just had the best fish and chips from simply fish and chips , chips were cooked properly and we’re the perfect colour and complimented the fish which was also cooked to perfection , nice golden crispy batter and a decent portion for a lunchtime special , I will certainly visit here again

It's a very good chippy with a great menu & very good staff & it seems to be well run & very clean, on the downside I would say it's quite pricey & is missing a bit of flavour in general.

This place is a joke they not sent us chips with the food so it’s pie and curry for tea 🤬tell me to get a refund back of justeat yeah because we all want to wait 5 days…

Went here on a recommendation sadly it wasn’t what I expected the chips was reheats tasted old and they was a grey coloured the fish was ok not much taste the peas was the best bit

First time here, fish was nice, peas average, (not mushy) and the chips were over cooked, tasted like they was reheated, which is why I will not be going here again, it is time chippies learned, a customer only needs one bad experience, to boycott the place, the staff were very polite, and the shop looked spotlessly clean.

Very disappointed today had to go back in due to a meal missing and when I got home my pudding chips and gravy was missing a pudding. But the worst thing was everyone was keeping there 2 meter distance and only 2 in shop at any one time then the delivery drivers just walk in and stand inside . When I was inside 2 of them came in and that made it 4 in the shop but owner only interested in taking thier number so he can sell more. people have died due to virus spreading and as a owner he should stop this when everyone else is going by the rules.

Easily the best quality, tasting, friendly and cleanest fish and chip shop I've ever been in. Cannot recommend them enough.

I gave a 2 star because the fish and chips are good. But service is equally important. Tonight it is cold, in front of me waiting outside the chippy was a gentleman in his 70’s who had been waiting 10 minute to go inside (due to COVID). He was happy to wait his turn until someone left the chippy (but he had commented to me that he was cold and didn’t want to have to make his tea). Just as a person left and it was his turn a food delivery person arrived and just went into the chippy in front of him. The gentleman went into order and was made to stand back outside to wait. Fair enough the delivery guy was collecting an order, but it wasn’t ready, he had a number, he could have given it and respectfully waited outside to let the old man order. Instead the man left offended while the young staff and young delivery guy stood inside nice and warm. Customers who come to the shop should be equally important to those who order from the comfort of their lounges. Consideration should be given to those who actually walk to the chippy. The person delivering could have easily given his order number and waited outside. Staff serving should ask that those being paid to wait, wait outside if some are waiting to order and have been there a while. You lost an order. You offended a customer and the disinterested attitude of staff that I witnessed was just rude. Basically you need a process in place.

Spoiled by humourless young girl behind counter, the woke need to wake up to the real world. Or, don't work serving the public. Otherwise, excellent food as usual.

Been a few times — the food looks great. Staff are super helpful and friendly, and ask the right questions. There's not much difference between a regular and large chips. I ordered a large chips, with jumbo sausage and gravy, along with a scallop. The chips were freshly made and hot, and tasted superb. I can't wait to visit again. Handy that they're part of Just Eat. The inside of the shop was tidy and modern looking

Do not order from here. Ordered food whilst I’m isolating, missing items and then told I should either go pick up the remaining food or reorder thru just eat. Problem is I’m isolating??? Reorder thru just eat is minimum £10 plus delivery for an item worth £4. Abysmal customer service. There are plenty of other options, do not go there. I do not recommend this place.

It’s our go to place for fish & chips in the Oldham area. It is the best in the area by far. Previously ordered fish & chips, scampi & chips, curry sauce. Every order has been consistently good, large portion sizes & good value. Nice to see that in these COVID times orders are managed safely protecting staff & customers. Service is always great. Best by far!

Can't fault this chippy, and less than 300 yards from the paintball arena, how lucky are we. Fish and peas are top notch. Dare I say it, better than Jack Sprats! I just did LOL

I moved away from Oldham a good number of years ago but still come back occasionally to visit the Grandmas. A good chippy in the Chadderton area seems to be difficult to find so I'm pleased we've finally come across this place. Couldn't fault it. Very busy so shows it must be good. Very friendly. Just nothing to fault. Good sized portions & a decent price. Grandma was happy too which doesn't happen often! 😂 I've saved it to my favourites for next time!
