Absolutely amazing fish and chips

I always come here after picking my son up from school and he loves the chicken bites.

A thin, crispy layer of oil with white meat inside, closer to chicken than fish. Thank you

Working around the corner from here and just wanted a bit of something to eat, just got some chips and gravy, very nice. The home made pies looked good but wasn't that hungry. Will try next time though.

Chips were lovely fish however was very dry not the usual standard at all , disappointed

Cheese sauce was thick and didn't taste good, the gravy was so thin and the fish was nothing special

The delivery was early. The portions were great and the food was excellent.

The guy at the counter answered all my awkward questions to a T and the counter staff were very good service with a smile especially in this hot weather the guy running around making all the food deserves a pay rise

the order was all wrong I ordered 2 peas no peas I ordered tartan sauce no tartan sauce I ordered Cury sauce separately it was put all over cheese and onion pie the lady having pie is allergic to curry my order came to 39 pounds it was disgusting and disgusting service what are you going to do about it

the gravy and curry sauce was rank, the peas looked like st patrick’s day threw up. fish and chips was lovely but everything else left something to be desired, and my other order was stone cold

Delivered to the wrong address, they delivered to 9 Granville walk and not Granville close, so we have not received our food

useless driver sitting cozy in his car while I keep looking for him everywhere, no wonder I didn't get the delivery

2nd time coming to this place, drove round for ages trying to find it because it was so good last time! The food is all cooked really good, the portion sizes are just right, only chippy ive seen offer rice boxes and nice little meal deals that come all nicely made up in a box. The fish here is so juicy and cooked lovely. I dont normally leave reviews for chippys and quick dinner stops, But when you get served by lovely staff with a nice smile and then the food tastes so good and doesnt cost an arm and a leg…well youve got to leave them a review at that point! Simply fish needs to put a disclaimer that you do not allow your drivers to deliver to flats as the driver said he is not allowed to get inside to deliver. This is a 1st for food delivery driver to refuse to deliver to my door as he is *not* allowed. Food is great Mashy peas is not good at all

Food was good, one fish was a bit greasy. The meal deals could do with buttons for salt and vinegar/show what the sauces are.

Just had fish rice and curry and all I can say is it was superb disregard the reviews complaining of soggy food due to being placed in polystyrene trays as this isn’t the case now they’re in boxes so stays lovely and crispy would 💯 recommend this chippy best I’ve had in a long time thank you very much ☺️

Couldnt see drivers signal on map because site unavailable. was on we he left Simply Fish but then disappeared. at 19.02 showed up as delivered but not. waited five minutes and looked out window, driver was trying houses across the road. Had to go out and shout him over. Food was fine when we got it.

requested salt on food, none was put on, requested forks as we are staying in hotel, no forks provided so was unable to eat some of the food. food was ok.

In all honesty a waste of money, ordered home made meat pie, I got a hollands meat pie, only reason I ordered was for home made pie, the gravy had 0 flavour, ordered 2 cans for completely different cans to what I ordered, won’t be back don’t worry

absolutely stunning , warm , curry sauce and mushy peas were stunning , chips were hot but not to hot to burn your gob and the sausages was absolutely mint

Chicken was very dry, fish greasy and chips Luke warm. Disappointed.

Never turned up waited 2 and a half hours

The sausage chips and gravy and the scallops were fine the spam fritters were horrible too thin and chewy and inedible and ended up in the bin

Food was lovely but the delivery was terrible, saw on the map he was going in the opposite direction, luckily must have realised and finally turned round. So instead being about 5 minutes it was about 20 minutes, so the food was only warm

Tracker stated 6.57 delivery. Delivered 10 mins late. Tracker showed driver still dor 10 mins, when I asked why, he said he had to deliver something else first. The delay affected my food, which was lukewarm and the batter soggy, rendering it inedible.

This spot didn’t hit like my causal fishhy need better fish. go to the atlantic or smt and get some better fish. Found a 1 inch bone in my fish chippies were dry like my feet. horrible

Excellent fish, chips,mushy peas and buttered muffin. Delivered on a monday night in lousy weather and they were hot and the batter was crispy. Sime reviews have said their meal was served in polystyrene, NOT IN THIS CASE SERVED IN PAPER LINED CARDBOARD CARTON IN A PAPER BAG only plastic was in the container for the mushy peas. This meal was delicious highly recommend

Absolutely delicious fish, chips, mushy peas and buttered muffin nicely presented in paper lined cardboard carton in a paper carrier bag, only plastic was in the container for the mushy peas. I had the small fish and chips meal deal which was just the right amount and didn't overface me. Highly recommend. Food was nice and hot even though the delivery was in Royton on a miserable Monday 😋

Disappointing. Ordered & collected previously & was great. Tracked the driver, looks like we were the 3rd drop-off. Polystyrene packaging made the meals sweat!! Previous orders & collection have been cardboard so not had an issue before. Polystyrene package made the small fish, chip & peas meal damp, batter & chips were disappointing as a result..NOT CRISPY! other meals were ok, but not the same quality. Unfortunate as it was our go to chippy, will be going to Hills in future. Stop using Polysty

Polystyrene packaging ruined a delivery of fish & chips, mushy peas. Made the meal sweat resulting in soft batter & mushy chips. We were the 2nd or 3rd delivery from Just eat so probably didn’t help. HOWEVER, we have ordered from here before delivery & collection, cardboard packaging & no issues. Unfortunately based on this last order we probably won’t order again. Other meals were ok, only ok though….. but don’t want soggy fish & chips. Will order from our default now (Hills) which is a shame as you were the go to……ditch the polystyrene SWEATY packaging please & we will be back amongst other reviewers who have commented about the same issue. Don’t mind paying a bit more if it’s a packaging price point as it was a quality product when packaged in cardboard. Such a shame. If you want soggy fish & chips delivered to your house then order here. If you want crispy battered fish go elsewhere.

I used to love this chippy always raved about it but recently it has fell off, when the boss isn’t in the standards drop. Ask for fresh fish past 2 times I’ve been in and got old cabinet fish, chips slightly undercooked but I can deal with that. Hopefully they can get back to there best.

Worst fish & chips I’ve ever had . Hard chips Peas mushed up all over the hard chips . The fish was like a goldfish . And to add insult to injury it tasted of perfume or something . Needless to say I Certainly won’t ever be ordering from this diabolical place again . No wonder it was here within 20 minutes at tea time rush hour . Obviously that rubbish they have no customers and now one less than nothing 😡

Food was hot when it arrived, nicest piece of battered cod I've had in a while, however peas were bland overall though 4/5.

Muffin was missing and one of the boxes was completely open on arrival other than that the food was tasty.

Be careful these will rob you blind and deny it ordered like 6 things 25 quid call it only to forget one order and then deny we placed the order...... sad when you have to check your food....

Average, but what really had me go “hmm” was how the delivery driver just pressed doorbell and then left the delivery on the ground. The covid rules are relaxed now there was no need for that, no other food delivery does that besides this place.

Asked for a lightly battered fish £5,50 which was mostly batter it was nice but I've had better , the girl on the counter was a bit abrupt which put me off , not a patch on Hills award winning chippy...

No free muffin with fish and chips and pie was awful had to leave most as pastry dry and hard
