Lovely, nice fish & chips and the irish curry is bang on, very good service also.

Nice big portions. Cooked fresh. Used the new app for the first time and was impressed. Friendly staff. Well worth the money. We ordered all sorts, chips and gravy really nice, salt and pepper Chicken spot on, rag pudding, cheesy chips, beans, a muffin, chips and gravy with mushy peas and a fish. Cant fault the quality. Thanks again.

Update since review.....ordered their home made cheese & onion pie out of interest.....my g0d it was it was bursting with cheese flavour! I had to leave it else my cod & chips would be left...but wow! Nice large portion of cod.....crispy overall...mushy peas have to add some salt...english curry horrible but Irish curry spot on...go for this for curry. Usually from a place like this the chips I mostly bin...but here the chips are more like from a chinese. A1!....Update...I ordered two large cod two days ago.....one to be reheating via air fryer yesterday....I've got two more coming today....having their cod four days in a row for tea! Says it all but good job I'm on the skinnier side! Don't think my heart will like me though.

The food here is delicious! I had the loaded fries special tonight and it was lovely, really enjoyed it 😊

Great chippy with friendly staff giving quality food, it's shame their not more chippy's like this.

Just ordered again from this chippy....ie...ordered a few times as this is my go to chippy for cod & chips. I love their cod as the batter is crispy & on the thinner side instead of being thick & stodgy. Decent size cod as well. I don't think they look after their fish though as the cod was dead. (Lol).

The App is very easy to use, the food and service was great.

Went for dinner on Saturday and was sold Friday's sausage with my chips peas and gravy really wasn't impressed that a business could do such a thing especially when they can write off food waste the rest of my meal was fine but this type of thing for the sake of something that probably costs them less than 50p 😭😭

Every time I good the service is exceptional, the food is fresh, fish is cooked to order, the staff serve you with a smile, always busy but always severed quickly.

Cracking chippy with various items cooked to orders. The staff are brilliant and their battered sausages are the best I've tasted. Plenty of on street parking and if you're in a rush you can pre order for collection at a set time using their app..

I tried this chippy for the first time this evening — it’s unreal 😍 the best salt and pepper chips and the app was super convenient too.

Overpriced, small portion and inedible chips that went in the bin. Complete waste of money. Go elsewhere. Been once again and whilst the portions are more generous this time, the food was still inedible. Soggy, cold chips and a curry sauce that tasted of vinegar (no vinegar applied to meal). Once again the whole thing went into the bin.

Travelled a few miles to come here. And it was very nice. I had a lunchtime haddock and chips and it was delightful. Worth the trip. Lovely staff with a welcoming smile.

Food was nice but the delivery by Uber was awful.. took over 20 minutes to arrive during to the Uber driver making another delivery therefore the fish was lukewarm and soggy. You need to change your delivery options otherwise you'll lose custom.

It's a chippy traditional order of, fish (large) chips peas, placed more than once over 3mnth period. Fish cooked to order each visit, staff pleasant. Wait reasonable. Busy through put, waiting area 'small' for number of customers and 'Deliveroo type' pick-ups passing through.

Just ordered the LARGE cod family meal deal. Added other items and spent nearly £40. The fish are the size of sausages! The chips weren't large. I'm really disappointed and would never order here again. If your feeding a family I'd avoid or order double what your normally would. Dread to think what the small cod looked like! Some people in are family aren't eating because there isn't enough.

The first time I’ve had this place in a while the portions are tiny I got a large fish at 5 pm tasted like it’s just been warmed up from dinner hardly any fish inside this needs sorting for how this chippy used to be ? Not good

This place used to be great. I looked forward to fish, chips & curry sauce whenever I came back to England. This time it was tasteless and with watered down curry. Haddock instead of Cod. Price has gone up and the quality has clearly gone down. It’s a shame but it’s now off my list of places to eat from.

The portions are quite small although the food is always fresh and good quality and the Salt and Pepper Chips are the best I’ve had in a long time. Delicious!

Best chippy in Failsworth by a country mile. The homemade cheese and onion pie is a dream, and the Gravy is absolutely spot on. You won't go wrong going here if you're hungry.

Traditional tasty friendly chippy... Fantastic rag pudding brilliant fish 2 sizes fast service for a very busy chippy. They work really hard and nothing is to much for them. They never seem to close on time but never complain really jolly team.

Really delicious, good value for money, excellent quality - could tell everything was fresh. Might seem a bit pricier than others but it’s 100% worth it and the portions are huge!

Never ordered here before so Ordered online for delivery it arrived and looked nice but as we began to eat it, I opened the muffin to find it was mouldy 🤢 I can’t lie, the other food looked really nice/fresh but mouldy food has put me off ordering again. Tried to ring them multiple time and there was no answer

Fantastic little chippy, friendly service, ideally located to grab a bite to eat. The chips were well cooked, tasty and plentiful offering value for money, the sausages were well cooked and of good quality, not as anemic as other chippies. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit

One of the best English chip shop I've visited.

Stood waiting to order for over 5 minutes with a group of friends and the three Staff never acknowledged us and just served the delivery drivers who pushed in front if us.

Beautiful traditional English chippy!!! Food always fresh, piping hot and delicious!! By far the best chippy in the Failsworth area, if I want a proper chippy tea, there is nowhere else but the Village Chippy for me!!! I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a true, traditional English chippy!!!

My first time I've eaten from here and the food is lovely. The staff were chatty and really nice too. Will definitely be going back again when I'm next in the area. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me 👍.

Used it many times nice food never had bad food there.

The meal was very dry hardly any gravy on the chips. I ordered a meat and potato pie and was given a meat pie. The mushy peas were terrible and I was given the wrong drink. Last time I will be ordering from that place.

New to the area and fancied fish & chips. Was NOT disappointed, delicious food, good size portions and lovely friendly staff 🙂 Will definitely be back!

My partner went and got me pie and chips,as I expected dinner time chips didnt see any potatoe in chips. And this is a regular occurrence, the pie had a 4 /5 inch hair under my pie in its foil wrapping, disgusting sorry but its not letting me give you no star's. so I'll have been forced to give you one star

As we were passing we saw it was open when all others were closed. I would have given a 5 but for the size of the piece of fish which wasn't overly big. Chip portions were adequate as a portion puddings were lovely, curry sauce (Irish) was good. Will go again but maybe not for fish. The place was clean, tidy, covid safe with screens and masks having to be worn. Staff very pleasant and polite. As I said it was as I was passing as it's a bit of a drive away but will use again when in the area and hungry.

Overpriced paid 5 and a half quid for fish + chips with curry sauce, ate it and I'm still hungry! Fish was the smallest I've ever seen from a chippy, even smaller than frozen oven cook fish!
