Sadly disappointed. Never had a reason to fault the service before but this time took over an hour+ to get my order so rang up requesting for it to be cancelled on UberEats. Staff claimed it was cancelled, rang up again to say its still active they haven’t cancelled from their side. Order claims to be delivered at 11:11PM 4 hours after initial order. UberEats refused to give me a refund. Thats money gone down the drain. Sickening. Shouldn’t be providing false time frames and accepting orders if you clearly can’t deliver.

They are very slow and expensive so I came to here for some food and I was watching for 1hour and 30mins for a only to have 5 cars waiting.they had 10 stath members and was still so slow.if it's delivered it takes 1hour.there are not no way Im waiting over 1hour to get my food when I'm hungry.

Considering how much everyone's prices are getting ridiculous around 20 pounds per person there are really great places like Mother Hubbards who still allow you to eat in or takeaway for less than half that every day of the week. The food is really good everyday of the week so what can be so complicated... Eat well save money everyday of the week!!

Ordered on uber took nearly 2 hours for my food phoned up to be told its on its way 20 mins later had to phone again. Still nothing 10 mins later it turned up ... very poor service if you can't full fill in the time frame do not accept the orders.. I ordered because I was short on time.. won't be ordering again ...

Visited a couple of days ago what can I say, food was slow when it arrived chips was full of black bits fish batter was really think won't be going back.

chips was only warm and peas and gravy fish cake to had to put it in the microwave to reheat so I could eat my tea you should not have to do that after it cots a lot to get it here don't think I be using them again

the worst chippy experience ever. cold chips, pies that you could build houses with and a complete lack of flavour. a pot of curry sauce that came in a thimble that almost covered one whole chip when poured over what is loosely described as food. the mushy peas formed an impenetrable blanket that didn't let gravy, salt, vinegar or indeed any flavour hit the soggy sticks of undercooked potato that they try and pass off as chips. awful. avoid! buy yourself an airfryer and save yourself the bother

I ordered online they sent wrong food second occasion they hv done this then was very rude on the phone the food was cold only completed half the order and showed attitude when I explained nasty.

chips are not good but everything else was nice.

My mum and her boyfriend stopped off there for some food to bring to my house and got the £16 jumbo fish and chips it was enough for 3 adults the food was nice and fresh and crispy I would definitely feed a family of four the fish was perfectly cooked and so was the chips the peas the gravy and the curry and chips were all banged on to the food all in all was Epic will be back 10/10 but for tea yesterday 27/1 got a a delivery order at 15.10 it arrived at 16.30 and without the air fryer it would have none in the bin it was terrible chip soggy and fish was terrible and curry sauce the spice one was terrible and the other not the best was to for pick up 10/10 for delivery 3/10

fish a chips great always best just this time forgot to put 2 bottles of water, however not big deal got refund for it. I am happy that at least one place does gluten free fish and chips and its best aswell very tasty.

Came to visit my in-laws in Oldham and was craving Fish and Chips. So thought I would try Mother Hubbards as they have decent reputation. I wasn't too impressed with the quality, took it as take-out and bought Large Haddock and Chips. The portions were generous however I thought the taste was bland and the fish was very greasy. Price was decent. So overall 3/5 for me.

The item sold as Haddock is definitely NOT Haddock but nevertheless the meal was good.

Fish was nice however the Chips were half cooked not happy and paid £30 for the order!

was told order would be ready to collect at 11.45. got there and not ready at all. other customers being served while I'm still waiting for order. rude staff.

No gravy on pie n chips sausage was over cooked

I can only assume the food practices at this place are diabolical because my partner and I were both horribly unwell after eating their food and unfortunately this isn't our first time experiencing this phenomenon here. When batter is very dark like it is at Old Mother Hubbard's it means a place isn't changing their oil much. Another clue is you'll notice other reviews, even good ones, saying it feels "very heavy". It wreaks havoc on your stomach and your liver has to work very hard when you consume food cooked in oil that isn't being changed often enough. We paid £35 to have 2 fish, 1 regular chips, 1 gravy, 1 fishcake and 2 cans delivered and in return we got ill in the days leading up to Christmas. Go for a place that does their fish with a nice light golden colour, like Foz's, instead. That is the mark of a quality chippy who do things properly. Unless you enjoy spending half of your day running to the toilet, in which case knock yourself out. On the left, what good quality fried fish should look like. On the right, Old Mother Hubbard's (honestly the picture doesn't do it justice, it was darker than this).

I ordered the Jumbo fish and Chips deal to make sure every one was fed. There wasn’t a single chip with the fish that was £25+ quid and when I raised it with the driver he all of a sudded couldn’t understand my accent and when I called the shop they kept telling me I had the wrong Mother Hubbards yet Uber only provide that single number. I checked the number over and over so I know it’s correct My sister ccould do a much better standered of food and drink along with customer service compared to tbese and she only has one leg.

Chips were lukewarm. The chicken burgers were undercooked.

Lovely fresh fish and chips but was very heavy so it was hard to finish. Nice sitting area but chairs are quite low. Obviously a nice place to have lunch.

food was nice but took 1 hour 40 minutes to be delivered when it was estimated between 45 minutes to 1 hour. Requested money back and was declined, told there would be some free food in the bag to compensate and there wasn’t.

Fish was fresh and delicious but the chips was stale tasted old and not hot very disappointed as thought I would try again after being let down with food quality before and been left dissatisfied again.

Food used to be amazing. Now seems to be just really greasy! To make matters worse. It can take over two hours for your food to arrive. When you contact for an update staff act incredibly arrogant and rude. Avoid.

Food is okay but there is always a long wait time. Been there a few time and due to their drive thru being one person at a time you can easily wait over 20 minutes per car that's Infront of you in the queue. Food is decent but nothing too special.

Always order from here food is lovely, they forgot my 2 curry sauces today which was really disappointing as I’m poorly and have kids that have autism and won’t eat food without certain things, but normally they’re very good! Got refunded through just eat for the sauces.

Service was a little slow but the food portions are great. The large portion of fish and chips was way bigger than anticipated, enough to feed 2 people. The batter had a great crunch and the chips where not soggy which is always a plus. The curry sauce and gravy were as expected of any decent chippy. Overall its a good value for money
