Simply Fish & Chips in Sandwell

OMG, went in to get a bag of large chips to take home for the other half and myself. I wished I didn’t bother. Waited for about 10 minutes while the chips cooked, fresh I thought, how wrong could I be. For a extra large bag I paid £3-20, so expensive when I saw the size, I’ve had regular sized bags from other chips shops lager than their extra large but that’s probably the only positive. When we got home, the chips were black, green and rock hard like they used potatoes that was going off. After picking out 2/3 of the bad chips, we were left with a very small child hand full and I swear, these chips tasted stale and looked like they were fried again just to heat them up. Seriously these would have to be the most disgusting chips I’ve ever tasted and the quality was definitely well below poor. We had to throw them away, in fact I was that angry, I tried to get the telephone online and the number is incorrect so obviously you can’t complain so in the bin they went and a pizza was put in the oven. Afterwards I read the reviews and I advise you not to ever entertain the thoughts of getting chips from here, thank goodness I didn’t order any thing else. DO NOT USE.

This was a whole new experience,after waiting 1hr 20 for food the disappointment hit a whole new level, to begin with the children's meals were incorrect, chicken burger covered in moyo came instead of cheese burger, my wifes small chips with chicken kabab meat, defiantly wasn't kabab meat, it literally was southern fried chicken cut up to look like kabab meat. worst of all little bones were in the meal, they tried to cover this up with Mayo (excessive amounts) I literally had the same thing with my Mixed meat nan, under the donner meat was chicken meat with bones. I took it back to the shop and could see the issue ( no chicken Kabab meat on the grill) why try and deceive the customer, I strongly advise not to go here again, from looking at the reviews, would say it all, shop has also moved to a smaller premises, Direct phone number doesn't work. offered no refund

Went here as we’re hungry in a Sunday lunch time. I don’t understand how you can get fish and chips so wrong. The “large fish” was the size of a normal mini fish and £4.70 wasn’t cheap either. It was soggy and flavourless. The chips are the worst chips I’ve eaten! They were like raw inside. This used to a decent chippy but now it’s more expensive and quality is bad. Left more than half of my food. With loads of good chippies around I will deffo go else where or just go without.

supposed to be a fast food joint but took nearly ten minutes to get overcooked chips and a sausage that had clearly been reheated many times over. had rings like a tree on later inspection. this place used to be a great chippy, but has fallen on bad times. the lady serving me barely even spoke english.

We went to this chip shop and we have used them on a regular basis for a few years. They must have changed hands as the quality is now awful, the woman serving us was on her mobile constantly and then swapping phone to hand constantly whilst scooping the chips. Portions were big but still bad which means theres lots of bad food. This place needs to sort itself out. Hygiene issues when preparing food and using a phone. Better to travel up the road to a place called Rio's, much better

Nice chippy but i find it rather expensive.they are on just eat so can deliver which is good and they also serve breakfasts in the morning which is handy as its on a busy main road.if there prices where abit cheaper i would visit more.

Situated on a main road by a bus stop and there is also parking near by. The main food sold here is fish and chips, but you can also get kebabs, southern fried chicken, pies, sausages and pizzas. The fish is the best for miles. Fillet of cod freshly battered and always juicy and piping hot. Chips are cooked regularly so you get them hot and fresh and not dried up and the portions are generous. Certain items are cooked to order so bear this in mind when ordering so that everything comes together. Kebabs also come in generous portions. There’s a seating area of 3 tables of 4 which is handy for people who are staying at the travel inn across the road or if you want to eat straight away. There are imitation beach hut doors which is a nice touch. There’s a specials board which includes sausage, roe , mini fish etc There a wide selection of cold drinks and also sauces. It seems like a family run restaurant/ take away. They also deliver locally.
