Simla Indian in Birmingham

Gran curry, buen personal pero ha cambiado desde febrero. Ahora no tiene licencia y tomas tu propia bebida. Es una pena, ya que creo que ha bajado la calificación del lugar. Solía hacer cócteles encantadores y se sentía con clase allí. Qué pena, no estaba tan ocupado como solía estar.

Overnight stay in Birmingham NEC and we decided that the restaurant menu looked boring so , we did a quick goggle and found the Simla Indian (only 5 mins drive). WOW!! Absolutely fabulous meal, first class service and exceptional value for money. Can’t praise this establishment enough. made us feel very special with their attention . Beware the chef special Nan with chicken peppers and cheese is very very filling!!!

Very busy place used well and frequently by the locals. So if you visit take this into consideration when waiting for your table or food. Service was ok, staff were kept busy, food came out hot. For me the food was ok, my dinner guest enjoyed hers as she doesn’t like very hot or spicy things. Price was quite reasonable for two people.

Have been eating here well before COVID .the food , atmosphere and the staff are always coming up trump's .staff go out of their way to talk to you and the food is up there with the best ..they say you pay for what you get .. Well worth the visit ...

We use Simla often and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Delivery is fast and we find the price competitive

Good variety on the menu and we were both really pleased with our selections. It was a way out the way for us, but really pleased we took the chance and will be back again.

We have ordered meals several times from Simla and we have always been hugely impressed by the truly excellent standard of cooking and by the quality of the ingredients used. The menu is varied and interesting, offering lots of choice. Delivery has been very punctual and is always charming! Thank you Simla and keep up the great work!

Always have an amazing curry from simla, so we thought we would try the starters what a mistake, cold food and really full of grease, king prawn butterfly literally 1 prawn and the portion of garlic prawns had 2 prawns in. Really dissapointed what a waste of 23.95, sorry simla you were definitely not on form tonight.

Had a takeaway tonight, had king prawn & mushroom balti, it was lovely, plenty of prawns & was given free poppadoms, salad & dips, plus cleaning tissues & fruit sweets, just nice little touches, real good food & friendly service, thanks

Decided to have a korma last night it seemed different and was more lumpy than the usual smooth creamy mild curry we used to have. My tummy hurts this morning so I hope I am not going to be unwell this Christmas. Unless you have a cast iron gut I would avoid this place. I wish I had read current reviews as I would have not wasted my money. Definitely wont be using it again. I don't think it even deserves rating with meal I received, I wish I hadn't eaten it. It looked the same until you start eating it . It was cooked not sure what was different but my tummy certainly didn't like it.

Something has changed recently, it may be a new chef. I've always rated it highly until a few months ago when the meal l always have from here has a different taste . It's a shame. Won't be using here anymore....

Me and my partner ordered a takeaway, we ordered a chicken spinach balti, 2 chapatis, garlic naan & fries, this was by far the worst takeaway we’ve ever eaten We’ve been sick and haven’t stopped using the toliet since. I wouldn’t recommend using this takeaway this is the first and last time i’ll be using this place!!!!
