Went to copper fox with my family and got to say the bar staff member Callum was such a lovely gentleman so caring and polite I have been there before and some staff can be rude but Callum went above and beyond to help. Well done callum

Visité por primera vez con mi esposa para almorzar. Una dama agradable nos sirvió. Un poco extraño porque pagas por la comida de una vez y luego pagas por las bebidas por separado en el bar. Supongo que el restaurante funciona como un negocio separado. Pedimos una envoltura de pollo tikka, cordero balti con ajo naan. La única parte sabrosa de la comida era el naan. El pollo tikka estaba seco, insípido y no estaba recién hecho - el pollo parecía como si hubiera sido preparado 2 - 3 días antes. Digo esto como si el pollo fuera duro como si hubiera sido calentado una y otra vez. Es tan seco. El cordero balti era peor - era terrible. No sabía a cordero, más bien a cordero. Una vez más, era duro, masticable y era carne de muy mala calidad. No podía tragar mucho y dejé la mayor parte en mi plato, habiéndolo sacado de mi boca. Asqueroso. La única parte recién hecha de la comida era el pan naan que era agradable. No volveremos a visitar este lugar. Los chefs deben visitar The Abbey Bar and Grill en Smethwick/Bearwood para ver cómo se deben hacer los platos. Ese lugar siempre sirve platos recién preparados y tiene un precio muy razonable. El propio chef sale a comprobar que los huéspedes están contentos y es muy apasionado por su trabajo.

Visited for lunch and the chicken tikka wrap was excellent, alongside the spring rolls and masala fries. Very welcoming and friendly staff made the experience complete.

El Zorro de Cobre me lo recomendaron varias veces, así que decidí reservar y darle una oportunidad para nuestra reunión familiar anual recientemente. El lugar en sí estaba ocupado y lleno. También tiene una gran terraza. Desafortunadamente, todos nos desanimamos y nos decepcionó la comida. Mientras que los platos de parrilla mezclados en una cama de cebolla eran bastante buenos . . El resto de la comida lo dejó caer masivamente. Pedimos guarniciones de salsa Balti y salsa Tikka para acompañar las parrillas mixtas. Eran viles... ambos bastante mocosos y nada parecido a cómo deberían saber. La salsa Tikka sabía a sopa de tomate débil salada. La salsa Balti sabía a nada salada y débil, a sabor muy extraño. Mi sobrino tenía un curry Balti y eso sabía a sopa salada de rabo de buey. La mayoría de las sillas de cuero tenían múltiples rasgaduras y desgarros en ellas... no invitaban a sentarse. Realmente estábamos deseando que llegara, pero nos fuimos sintiéndonos desinflados e insatisfechos.

Security staff on the door at 5.30pm on a Tuesday afternoon was a bit of a red flag for me. They were the nicest chaps ever but still a little disconcerting. We had booked a table which was just as qell as it was really busy, this was a definite plus and took the reassurance level back up. Parking is limited so it's on street mostly. Usual set-up of buy drinks at the bar and order food from a 'hatch'. Starters were mediocre, probably a poor choice by those in ourvparty who picked meat samosas (the 2 saddest looking little samosas that looked like they were from an iceland bag, dreadful looking pastry and spring rolls - who orders spring rolls at an Indian restaurant😳) Sauces were tasty on the main courses but vegetables don't feature as standard in the dishes so don't expect to hit any of your 5-a-day. Interestingly there was no flexibility at all on the dishes offered on the menu, one person asked whether it was possible to have a vegetable korma and was told no. Found this a little odd. That said, the food filled a gap and came out without delay. Next time we'll pick the sizzle platter to share as these looked impressive. Overall, it's local so I'd go again 'in spite of' rather than 'because of' motivation. 5 stars for the security chaps Some areas for development in other areas.

Un grupo de nosotros fue a una cena de cumpleaños. Tenía la parrilla mixta deshuesada con un lado de salsa tikka. La salsa tikka sabía a sopa de tomate enlatada. Mi hijo tomó un balti de pollo y eso sabía a sopa salada de cola de buey enlatada. Fácilmente el peor curry que cualquiera de nosotros haya tenido en mucho tiempo... sorprendentemente el lugar estaba muy ocupado, no tengo idea de por qué, los curry son terribles. Lo único positivo que diría es que el pub tiene un hermoso jardín de cerveza, pero sin duda no recomendaría comer allí!

I will not return to this place or recommend to any body the place was full you could not hear your self speak all the chairs seats where ripped you have have to pay when you order food over cooked chips where fries and narm bread thin as a paper tissue you have to park a long way away due to location nobody came to ask if you're food was ok this meal was in remembrance of alost family member go local not here

Amazing food highly recommend definitely give it a try book tho as extremely busy on a Friday & Saturday.

Friday 28 March 2025, Ordered tandoori wings. They were so hot that we could not eat them. We’ve had them dozens of times before but these were not cooked well and smothered in pepper. Waited way over an hour for delivery. Rice cold, bread cold, chicken wings like warm. Had to reheat everything! Never ever again!!!

Yet again an order taken and not delivered. Do not order from here. Food does not turn up. Extremely poor service.

Delicious food on both visits to this restaurant. 4 of us shared 1 large mixed grill, a chicken Jalfrezi and a prawn Balti with rice and 2 naans. All of the food was delicious and the service was great. From our experience, the Copper Fox is much better than the Covered Wagon. Well done Sahil & team !!

Amazing atmosphere and nice food

Mixed grill here is actually really good, lots of meat and all cooked great and portion wise is a lot for 1 person (the medium sized one) One caveat is that if you want to book a table for this place you have to hook your card up to a system so that they can cover themselves if you no show, I understand the reasoning for it given how busy it can be but it did knock points off the place for me. Otherwise it’s absolutely great and i do recommend!

Popped in without booking a table, had a nice laugh with the "Maitre d's" who showed us to our little booth, ordered and enjoyed excellent curries and accompaniments. Served quickly by very pleasant people in a very nice environment with a happy ambience.

I visited this place today with my family(4 of us), and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were generous. We were really impressed by the the food, and it’s honestly some of the best we’ve had in a long time! Most of the staff were also fantastic—friendly, polite, and welcoming. However, there was one exception: Sue. We arrived at 1:20 PM when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Sue gave us a table for four with chairs, but my daughter kindly asked if we could sit at a sofa table instead since it was free and there were plenty of empty tables around. Her response was unnecessarily rude—she said the table was for six people, even though it was actually for four. She didn’t even let us to explain anything she just rushed away. To make things even more frustrating, the exact same type of table next to it only had three people sitting at the table. We thought maybe she had misunderstood our request, so my mom asked again, as she is suffering from back pain and would be more comfortable at the sofa table. Despite there being multiple empty sofa tables, Sue refused again, clearly irritated that we had asked a second time. What made the whole situation even worse was that those sofa tables stayed completely empty the entire time we were there. Even as we finished our meal and left, they were still unoccupied. It was really disappointing because we had such a great experience with the food and the rest of the staff, but this left a bad impression. If not for Sue’s attitude, this place would have been perfect! The food was absolutely amazing, and the other staff were wonderful. It’s a shame that such a small issue had to leave a negative mark on an otherwise fantastic restaurant.

Had a lamb saag mixed grill and chilli fish was absolutely banging and masala chips with a nice cucumber yoghurt ❤️

Food was excellent, large portions and great selection. Take away you've available for anything you can't eat. Will definitely go again.

Very good atmosphere, tasty food and service

Went there yesterday, the staff was very nice and had recieved food within 10 minutes of ordering. The food had a variety of flavours melting in my mouth, especially the salmon. The atmosphere was electric with all customers enjoying themselves.

Went last Monday, me and my daughter enjoyed the food aside from one of the lady staff seems miserable when she served our food. Would be nice if she knows how to smile and be nice to customers.

We were seated straight away after calling in on spec. We ordered our food which seemed to take a while to come . There were a number of tv`s around the dining area which had football on. There was a group of lads next to us who kept asking for the tv`s volume to be turned up. The waitress eventually agreed and turned it up to full volume ! We struggled to have a conversation and requested it to be turned down a little , I was then accused by the waitress of arguing with her ! Our meal was ok and our naan was more like a flatbread wrap. Don`t think we`ll be going back when there are similar and better resturants near by.

Great Desi pub with sizzling grills and good portions. Tradional pub to the front and resto at the back. Good to watch the sports. Beer garden. What's not to love. Gets busy

Reservamos nuestra mesa para 7. 45 y llegó a las 7 . 30 . La sección de bares de este lugar estaba muy ocupado con la sorprendente inclusión de una tabla de dardos! Obviamente es un lugar muy popular para pasar el rato para los lugareños y tiene un ambiente muy agradable y bullicioso. Tomamos bebidas mientras esperábamos a que nuestra mesa se despejara. Una vez sentados nos dijeron que ordenáramos y pagáramos en la escotilla cuando estuviéramos listos. 2 de nuestra fiesta fueron (como de costumbre! ) 50 minutos tarde, así que pedimos alrededor de las 9 eventualmente, pero no nos apresuraron o molestaron (no había nadie después de nosotros para nuestra mesa) el restaurante era completamente chockablock con clientes, personal y en el bar, uber y repartidores, este lugar es obviamente muy popular. La cola para pedir era bastante sustancial pero eficiente y se movió muy rápido y después de haber pedido esperamos unos 20 minutos para la comida. Pedí para 2 de nosotros y como era nuestra primera vez pidió la parrilla mixta mediana y grande, algunas salsas de curry, 2 panes naan, y algunas patatas fritas llegó a aproximadamente £ 60 por lo que £ 30 por cabeza, muy razonable, pero en realidad podríamos haber pedido MUCHO menos comida que esto, ya que cuando llegó la comida las porciones eran ENORMES de la parrilla. Incluso la parrilla mixta media era una verdadera montaña de carne. la parrilla mixta grande era una locura! Terminamos trayendo la mayoría a casa. Suficiente para llenar 4 recipientes largos de papel aluminio para llevar, a pesar de haber comido con suficiente distancia para terminar embarazada de un bebé de comida. Y fue DELICIOSO. no han sacrificado la calidad por la cantidad. Mi amiga pidió un curry tradicional, arroz naan y pilau y el suyo también estaba delicioso. Nos quedamos hasta que el lugar se vació significativamente, reponiendo bebidas del bar y teniendo un montón de risas y conversación (eso hace que mi cumpleaños después de todo...) y tengo que decir que la experiencia en general fue excelente. El personal era brillante y expertos en moverse a través de un piso increíblemente ocupado con sartenes chispeantes y no quemar a la gente, dejar caer la comida o lastimarse. Consejo: si vas por primera vez ten en cuenta que las porciones de parrilla mixta son ENORMES, no hagas un pedido excesivo. Probablemente se puede comer aquí por alrededor de £ 20 - 25 por cabeza + bebidas. fabuloso lugar, genial, ocupado, ambiente lleno, obviamente MUY popular, reserve con antelación, vale la pena venir.

Brilliant desi pub, unbelievable value for money and huge portions. I would recommend ordering a curry sauce with the meat platter.

One of the best best Indian mix grills we have had. The portions are huge and prices very reasonable. The place is like an English pub but the food is Indian grills, and curries. The bread, rice and everything we ordered were all fresh and great tasting.

Ordered over £90 worth of food this evening from Copper Fox, expecting a complete meal. The curries arrived, but the sides—an essential part of the meal—were missing. When I called, I spoke to Ash, who blamed Deliveroo, claiming the order was too large for a single driver and there was nothing she could do. However, after contacting Deliveroo, they confirmed this was a lie. Only one rider was assigned to the order, and no additional driver was requested by the restaurant. So, not only was the order incomplete, but Ash decided to pass the blame dishonestly instead of addressing the issue. Deliveroo’s refund policy only covers the missing items, which is ridiculous when the meal deal was rendered useless without the sides—it’s like delivering a burger with no bun or fish without chips! Between Copper Fox’s poor service, blatant lies, and mediocre food, this place is an absolute no-go. Won’t be ordering again from Sloppy Flop.

I’ve only been there on quite weekdays but I’ve always enjoyed the food. I’ve maybe been 3 times so I do recommend There are Friendly bouncers who show you to your seat

Came in with my family, and we were instantly treated with disrespect. The security guard was acting as the host, and when we inquired about where to sit, he was incredibly rude when my mum was a little bit confused as to why security was working as service staff. He proceeded to make a nasty comment “do you know where you even are?” just because my mum went to speak with someone at the bar after he was rude and didn’t provide us with any help. when we turned back to speak with him he continued to give us attitude just for trying to get a table, and continued being rude to my mother. it was appalling. the pub itself was grimey, looked bad, and even though the entire pub was empty we were seated next to another table right at the back of the pub, which honestly felt like it was done on purpose because he clearly had issues with us. I don’t know how an establishment can hope to get customers when as soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by hostility.

The Mixed Grill is good. The food is good too, but the sizzlers unfortunately throw a lot of smell around, that will get on your clothes and your hair. As long as you don't really mind that, it's a good place to go for some nice food.

First, ordered poppadoms.Had to return because they were stale.Obviously been sitting there. Then we ordered a Chicken Jalfrezi. Oh my God...vile. No peppers.Bland.No taste. Worst ive ever had.

one of the best Desi bar'n'grills around. such great, clean, fresh and authentic flavours. what do i mean by clean? the food wasn't swimming in oil or ghee. me and a pal had a medium mixed grill, garlic and cheese naan, a butter chicken, rice and masala chips. more than enough for 2 to share. on my 3rd visit so far

I have eaten at the Copper Fox on a number of occasions and it is rapidly becoming a local favourite of mine. The food is always delicious, the curries are fantastic and so are the mixed grills. There is also a wide selection of vegetarian options. You will not be disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the customer service is 10 out of 10. You must try the Copper Fox Grill if you're visiting the Harborne/Selly Oak area.

Amazing place to eat . First time for us and atmosphere was great , Thursday night and it was busy but this didn't affect the service at all. Vast menu at great prices - well presented and piping hot -large portions . Parking wasnt great but managed to get a spot out on the street.

Did previously leave a 5 star review After being a loyal customer for over a year spending a lot of money each visit. They decided to not let myself and my family us sit in a booth today after the premises was half empty. Company policy apparently even though they are not reserved Pathetic

Regular customers of Copper Fox. Never experienced a problem before until today. I had injured my back in a car accident a few weeks ago and myself and my family came for food, 4 people in total. We asked politely if we could sit in a booth as it would be more comfortable for me and was rudely told no as their company policy is that the booth is for 5 people. I asked if they were reserved, they were not. We then asked the manager and was again rudely told we can’t sit there even though the place was dead. If we did sit there we would be moved. Even ordering the food the prices have become ridiculous. Our drinks came to £20 and 2 of them were soft drinks? Will not be returning, terrible rude staff and management

He estado viniendo aquí por un tiempo y comenzó muy bien hasta que las últimas veces que he estado allí está empezando a bajar cuesta abajo un poco , no hacen ensalada de cebolla tradicional solo lechuga de inicio con unos cuantos jalapeños echados encima , y las salsas de inicio son las peores que he probado y me encantan los popadoms así que estaba un poco destripado el curry de la comida no tiene consistencia es como si las cebollas y la salsa están separados en la salsa no es cremoso es un poco en todo el lugar naans son increíbles como de costumbre , 2 guardias de seguridad allí se creen dueños del lugar , renuncian directo y se encuentran descortés uno pensaría que estaba allí lugar y no estaban simplemente empleados hay tantos lugares como este que realmente tienes que estar en tu juego A , mi nuevo ir es el ferrocarril en West Brom si te encanta este tipo de comida entonces esos lugares es una necesidad absoluta 👌

We visited at 5.15pm on a Friday - a Security Guard at the entrance was off-putting. We got a table for 4 and I went to order drinks. All OK. I went to order 2 starters (no table service here) and buy the time I returned to our table there were 3 sets of plates and cutlery (?) Our starters arrived, together with 3 unlabelled (and without use by dates) bottled of "sauces". Even though only 2 of us ordered starters the table was full of unnecessary plates. Our onion bhajees were over salted and seemed to have more potato (!?) than onion. I then went and ordered our 4 main courses and the whole thing became a joke as there was no room to actually put the excessive amount of crockery, never mind the food. The chicken tikka pieces were over salted, the garlic naan bread was actually paratha thin, the king prawn saag lacked prawns and the garlic rice was plain boiled. The saving grace (to get 2 stars) was the (initially off putting) Security Guard who took great care and showed kindness when ensuring the blind person in our group got to the toilet and back to us safely (thank you!!) Unfortunately, we had great hope for this pub restaurant but won't be returning.

Get the chilli fish. You won’t regret it! The food here is completely delicious and by all accounts very authentic as there were lots of Asian families tucking into the incredible food. Great mixed grill, to-die-for butter chicken and really solid Bhuna. The garlic naan was really good - not too doughy & stodgy but thinner and full of flavour. All in all an exceptional meal and reasonably priced for good portions. Well worth a visit.

The restaurant is very well decorated, it is clean and the atmosphere is good. The bad thing is that you have to go to a counter to order the food and pay on the spot, the drinks are paid separately and above all the flavor of their dishes stands out. The bad thing is that they are slow, the portions are not very big and it is expensive 🫰🏼

Great food and the staff are helpful the atmosphere is always good. Sky sports live is on, you don't feel rushed to leave either love the place.

Went for lunch . Great food. Had tikka chicken.. sheikh kebab.. rice's.. salads.. poppadoms.. All lovely.. Staff helpful..and down to earth..

I have been here 3 times and every time the food has been superb, we usually opt for the mixed grill, great value for money. I would definitely advise booking if going weekends, mid week is fine. Great coverage of football ⚽️ if you are a armchair supporter. All in all great value for money and a lively pub atmosphere for me a new concept in Indian catering 10 out of 10 to the owners love it. Only draw back would be some of the staff can be a bit stroppy.

Beautiful curry fresh naans foods really nice but my favourite is popadoms and sauces and the sauces are by far the worst sauces I’ve ever tasted and they don’t do onion salad you get a plate of letttuce and carrots with a few jalapeño on top real let down it is considering the foods lovely

Went Wednesday 19th Sept with family who live in Portugal very impressive

I used to be a regular here, here most weekends watching the footy or with the lads having a big mixed grill but the prices have sky rocketed! I can't justify paying them prices anymore, lost a customer here and im afraid they'll lose many more, such a shame

Ordered a takeaway from here. Absolutely 5 star on all levels. Great portion sizes and food was fresh and tasty. Will be ordering again from here. Choc cake huge 😋 and gorg ice-cream too. Fast delivery too. Perfect!

This is a very popular place for group meals and family meals. There were 6 of us and we ordered 3 main curry dishes and there was plenty. One naan per person was appropriate. The draft beer was really good, there was a beautiful outdoor space, and the food was delicious. There are a lot of people inside so advance reservations are almost essential. The mint sauce was a bit of a culture shock (in a bad way).

Ha bajado colina no hay tazón con cebollas y menta se obtienen botellas de plástico en su lugar no muy higiénico, la comida no era el estándar que solía quejarse al gerente 3 veces, ella simplemente se quedó allí comida desinteresada se llevó insípido y frío, seguro para decir que no volveremos. CUIDADO con la comida precocinada y las nans eran como elásticas precocinadas de nuevo que pena que solía ser una comida encantadora

Almost Perfect Grill House !!! Surprisingly , one of the best food experiences in Birmingham . This traditional yet modern ambience along with grill platters and quick service made it an overall great experience. The seating area is adequate and I love the sofa / couches with the wooden tables making it a good mix . It has a sports bar theme ,service was quick and staff were efficient . Now coming to the food :) We ordered a boneless grill (the grill platters are definitely recommended here) Butter Naan Masala Chips (recommended) Paneer Makhani Soya Grill Hara bhara kebab The portion size is really good with friendly prices hence value for money . Have a grill feast !

A pretty decent punjabi pub grill. Nice decor, and layout, good location of screens. Good range of ales and spirits. Food is decent, nothing special, as similar to every other grill place. Though enjoyed food. A little more expensive than some other places, but it's worth it, if you want a decent chill out place and a range of ales.

On first inspection, the photos and reviews sold it to me. Not good quality food at all, if you like Indian food, I wouldn't go here. Currys tasted watery and lack flavour. Maybe the grills are their strong point. But I honestly wouldn't waste your time. Staff and people are lovely though. But that's all I could say. Photo of how much we left..

My first time coming to this pub since it used to be the Hillyfields pub. Decor is nice, once we were seated we ordered food at a hatch, it was a meal for 4 of us and we waited no time at all. 3 large mixed grills and nuggets an chips. OMG the grills are huge. Warning! I think the large is to share with at least 2 maybe 3 people, oh well we pushed through the absolute tower of various meat and fish, which was all well cooked and full of flavour. It was definitely worth the meat induced coma that was to follow. We're were even offered take away dishes for the meat we could not handle. Well done guys... even hoping out the back with drinks they have a welcoming plesent area to sit. Definitely will be going back in the future.
