Simla in Portsmouth

I am sorry I had to change my review, it looks like someone else is in charge of Simla now, The food had little flavour and the quality just was not there. I hope I am wrong, but I am not going to order again, I am sorry, and I will miss the Simla that I use to know.

Bruh, the food they serve here is amazing, tasty and so gooood. The service is great, and the folks are so chilled. Thank you Rercommendation - Try the lamb Bhuna, it will blow your mind.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, I and my family having a upset tummy. I did tell the owner about his food( uncooked food) last night, he said he will give me free item next time. Why would I order again? IT'S A DEFINITELY NO .

The curry was rather watery. Naan bread was lovely.

Staying in the area and thought I would try them out as they had plenty of options. Special fried rice was really good, highly recommend, chicken dish was good and had a little spice and my king prawn dish needed a little more flavour. Overall was great, this was the better option when I was searching for a Indian takeaway.

Very good with lot of options Restaurant (only takeaway) for Indian origin food. Prices are genuine. Staff is Very polite.

When I was in Portsmouth, I have not ever seen an awesome takeaway like Simla from where I had taken my meal. Thank you, chef and Simla staff.

5 years ago this place was the best place for food! Then the quality dropped, however I recently went back a few days ago and I’m proud to say they’re back! Good value for money and very good meal deals

The Madras wasn't at all hot , the garlic nan didn't have enough garlic also gave me food poisoning . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AVOID !!!

Lovely food but should make it clear on website what day they are not open. That's why I gave a 4 not 5 stars.

tonight was worst ever...late delivery no calls or emails...driver sorry its late....food was cold below standard and we had to microwave to heat up cold food....not why you pay for take away food

Our go to place, although I wish I was a bit more adventurous, we've always had amazingly speedy exact, delivery. When we got it wrong once they put it right straight away. I just can't fault this place!

Lived in and around southsea for about 6 years and have only just tried Simla this month. Been back for a delivery twice. Best curry I have had on the island by a fair bit.

Tonight I tried the onion Bargies and garlic and coriander naan with a chichen biriani. Bargies we're the best. The naan was mediocre no real taste of the garlic or the coriander. The biriani chicken was the best part, as it was tender. The sad thing about Portsmouth biriani is that it has no flavour and is very watery, no matter where you go. A proper biriani should have strong dry spices and wow you when you open it. Stretham South London is the best place to experience what a good biriani should smell and taste like.. So I give this place a 3 star because they were reasonably priced and prompt.

We received a flyer through the letterbox with special offers on so decided to give this place a go. The service was short and sweet, but our food arrived piping hot, full of flavour and delicious. Thank you Copnor Customer ☺️

Ordered take out watery flavourless mega sweet curry burnt naan bread and a dish for two had 4 small squares of meat I complained offered no refund just replacement.. Never again

i got recommend by a friend and he was right they are great tell 1 thing u best be really hungry coz they are really filling i had a kashmir lamb with fruit in and coconut rice and wow the tub is really full with loads of meat last curry i had from 1 along fratton gone now but it was like i got a sauce coz the was 2 bits of meat well defo not that prob here the spice was just right as im not a hot curry lover my hubby had madras and fried rice he really enjoyed his too naam bread and boy loads of popadums all round great meal quick delivery via just eat did phone before hand as i forgot what the fruit 1 was lol great help on phone friendly staff defo worth the money im defo ordering here again i think this is going be my normal curry place now

Having approached this place not knowing what to order, i asked for a curry of their choice and to surprise me.. Well all i can say is amazing/spicy and just how an indian curry should be!!! Complimentary of the chef..... Achaaaaaaaaaaa.. :-)

i ordered 2 chicken madras and egg fried rice when i opened it and put it on my plate the sauce was like water the chicken was dry and it had barely any flavours was disgusting i am very disapointed i thought i ordered a curry not a soup.
