The Chippy,is always moaning about how slow business is, every time I go in there,well do something about it, I have advised him that the advertising showing food on offer, needs the price of the food on it. I go to Gipsy Lane Chippy now, Great Fresh Fish & Chips, Friendly Staff, Great Portions,Great Prices, Clean, some parking available for 2 Cars opposite. Only had chips from there after attending surgery across, so I can't say much about anything else. Menu is quite limited, though, and the place itself is in need of urgent refurbishment.

not good...fish was definitely not fresh batter & chips were not fresh either...Will go elsewhere in future

This was a great experience, the service was imaculate took time to ask questions and be attentative. He made sure I was happy with the food and service before I left. The portion size here was great also had two lunch time specials and I was served more than enough food. The flavours were great in the pie I choose and the chips were nice and crunch or soft and fluffy so that was great too. The curry sauce here was very nice quite thick and tasted great. Thank you

Ordered from here last night the chips was hard and not very warm and the fish was tasteless my son didn't even touch any of his chips or sausage shocking for the price of the food you'd think it would of tasted better. Best chippy is gyspy lane it's fresh and tasty.

Absolutely disgusting chips had them twice this as working late. Black heads on the chips, rotten and cold and refried chips. Unable to chew as hard chips and not fully cooked. After the seeing the rest of the reviews I will be complaining to Food Standard Agency not worth the money overcharged. It's not first time they serve have inedible food. This business does not deserve to be open especially on hard times. 20.04.23 I had the below reply if he read my review probablywould have not misunderstood when i said expensive. The quality and standard is absolutely revolting and i have complained to the FSA. The reviews on Google are not exactly glowing are they. When you have to throw food away when things are expensive. Your standards and quality have to change.

0 stars, brought a kebab on its own and I had 2 mouth fulls and left it to one side, it was revolting, kebab didn't taste like kebab at all. It was bitty and tasted gone off and the Mayo needs checking to 🤢 tasted sour

Don't bother ordering anything from here. They get the simplest order wrong. ordered over £25 of food went home and items missing. when I called them they denied i had ordered the missing items. dishonest

We're so very disappointed with this place. I rarely leave a review but felt i had to help people not be ripped off. The fish was diabolical, the batter was so bad, it had a rubbery texture and was very thick. They claim it to be fresh but having worked in a fish shop we know this is not true. It has ruined our takeaway night. Honestly if you like good quality fish and chips give this place a miss and go elsewhere. Poor quality food unfortunately.

Bought chips in the past and were not very good, thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, bought steak and kidney pie and chips twice, pies were ok, chips were really bad, had loads of black eyes from the potatoes in them, also loads of small crispy chips which were extremely hard, managed to get about a dozen each out of them. Would definitely not be returning and would definitely not recommend.

The food arrived on time and the delivery driver was very friendly. However, the food itself was of a poor quality - the chips and potato fritter were over cooked and dry, as if they had been left under the heat lamps for hours but I placed my order 10 minutes after opening time. I wouldn’t order food from here again as it was lacking taste and not of a good quality

This was my first order from here and will definetly be my last, After waiting ages for my food, the delivery driver phones to inform me he is delivering my order at the wrong location, when it finally arrives the food is cold and greasy and most of it ended up being thrown away, will never order from here again.

The most amazing fish and chips that I have had since moving from Yorkshire. Phoned up and placed the order had a call to say they were ready... Absolutely piping hot.. Disgusting! Dried out deep fried burger, no garlic in the”garlic mayo “ grated cheese salad cob at best to be described! A fish cake with no fish just cheese and potato and as if it wasn’t expensive enough I was overcharged for the privaliage of throwing it in the bin! Do yourself a favour and to save time and effort cut out the middle man and put your money straight in the bin!

I couldn't believe how small the portions of regular chips you get get for the price you pay. I will stick to supreme pizza instead for my chips
