Silver Pearl in York

Just tried to order with them on the phone. The woman asked me what i wanted. I was confused by the options she gave me and asked her to repeat them. To which she said "Are you sure you called the right place?" I said "Yeah, we have ordered from you before". Her response was "Then you should know our meals here". That's all I am gonna say. Never again.

Had a take away from here, due to our usual being closed and it was absolutely vile. The spring rolls were the worst I’ve ever tasted, over done and just disgusting. The duck was over done, and I don’t think you didn’t get all that much. My beef and black bean sauce, although had a chilli next to it in the menu was far too hot, and made me close to being sick, and the noodles smelt awful let alone tasted the worst I’ve ever had. My husband didn’t even receive what he asked for so what he did have, was only “eatable”. Never again. And I would suggest others look elsewhere too. Thankfully my husband bought chocolate for pudding which has saved the evening. Wish it was worth the effort of getting some money back.

I have been using this takeaway ever since I moved to York (10 years ago). It's always good food and friendly service. I only wish they did a delivery service but it's worth worth the short car ride from I have 4

The best food I've had take away or restaurant. Chicken curry is amazing, hot and sour dishes are a close second! Hot and sour soup unbeatable! I've been served some rubbish in other take always, this is restaurant quality food. I get cravings for their food and have been going last 20 years.

This is the worse Chinese myself and my wife has ever eaten ...everything was so bland...chicken balls were shrivelled up and dry...chow mein was some shrivelled up noodles in bottom of fish with chop suey on top..i just hope we are not going to be ill
