Had breakfast here and was quite decent. If they had Lashfords sausages I'd give it another star. Great value for money and the service was very good. I'd recommend and I'll be back in the future.

I’ve written scathing reviews on silly sausage about the lack of cleanliness and chipped plates, mugs and dirty cutlery and tables. What a surprise. We went for breakfast and we were very impressed with the turnaround. Newly decorated. New chairs and soft topped tables. And a complete re jiggle of the layout. The breakfast was gorgeous. We Didn’t wait long to be served either. They have nice clean new plates and mugs (not chipped) If I had to complain about anything it would be that one of my two fried eggs was hard. The cappuccino was perfect. Staff was Pleasant and wore matching uniforms. Tables were clean. I’d give it 10 out of 10. And advise new sharper knives.

I visited this place after reading some positive reviews. I have try most the cafes around Kitts Green, so gave this place a try. To give some context, I visited just after 13:15 on Friday and order a breakfast. I asked what time they closed as it was empty and was advised 14:00. The breakfast was makes as requested and looked ok. The surprise can after the first fork full. Nearly everything was cold, at best very lukewarm, the bacon had obviously been sat around for a while. The beans and tomato were like eating from the can, and the mushrooms were lukewarm also. The only things hot were the eggs, sausages, black pudding and toast. After checking to make sure it wasn’t just where I was getting the food from on the plate I had to call the staff to mention. They were nice and apologetic, took the plate of food away and warmed it in the microwave, for 30 sec,s I heard someone say. Needless to say the only thing that warmed up in that time was the black pudding. I eat what I could as it cost me £9, said goodbye and left. I suspect the poor service may have been due to the staff cleaning up for the day. It was not a good impression for the first visit. I may try one more time earlier in the day to see if I was correct. That being said, the staff were very friendly and talkative which was a bonus.

Been using this cafe for around 20 years now, since the new management have come in I have noticed the food quality and service has dropped yet the price has increased. Last week when I called to order I was asked to wait a few moments whilst they finished serving a customer which is fine however, I could hear that they had finished serving and instead of coming back to the phone to continue with my order they decided to have a conversation and forget that I was on the phone. I had to hang up and call back after waiting for around 5 minutes. This week when calling I was initially asked to wait a few minutes but then they changed their mind and asked us to call back in 5 minutes, I waited longer than asked and tried calling again but the phone was just left unanswered. I don't think we will be returning.

Just ordered 2 sausage and egg sarnies with 2 teas and pure orange juice, the staff are so polite and the food is absolutely amazing delivery is fast would highly recommend

Decided to give this place a go after hearing it is under new ownership. Despite being busy we were served very quickly and our food arrived in no time. Prices are on par with other cafes and the breakfasts my family had were excellent, hot and plentiful. We also ordered sandwiches to our workplace the following week all of which arrived on time and were piping hot on arrival. Would definitely recommend this cafe to everyone if you are in the area

Myself and son visited the silly sausage for breakfast, was surprised how very busy they were , breakfast was very good , hot and tasty , big thanks to the staff for looking after us , we will be back . Highly recommend

Decided I fancied a breakfast and heard of the silly sausage.. so I took a trip to the cafe….Breakfast was lovely… under new management and the staff are very friendly and polite… definitely will be returning

On Friday night knowing time was going to be tight on Saturday morning I said to the Mrs we will be going past this cafe so let’s go there for breakfast 👍so she starts reading reviews and says I am not going there. So i said let’s just have a look we can always walk out. So in we pops and immediately looked around for the reasons of other reviews to walk out. Those reasons from other reviews were not their floor was clean tables were clean serving counter looked bright and fresh and from what I saw of the kitchen looked clean. I sat down and sent the Mrs up because I am easy I had the He - Man breakfast (I didn’t need to eat again until a snack late evening) but she has to complicate things by choosing her own things so she can order herself. My Mrs stated to the lady behind the counter about the bad reviews turned out the lady she was talking to was the new owner and had only taken over that week and indeed said they had been working really hard cleaning painting re arranging things and they were still implementing new ideas. To this end I feel all previous reviews before the new owners should be dismissed as are no reflection of what we found and we so very nearly never went in. I found the staff to be pleasant and friendly. The food spoke for itself and i couldn’t fault my breakfast and the mrs had poached eggs on toast beans and bacon all of which she said was very nice and being very impressed by her nice soft poached eggs. And as such is a cafe I would not hesitate to recommend and judging by comments of other customers sitting in and taking out I am not the only one who would recommend. This cafe is under new management (opened Monday 4th March 2024) so we thought we’d give it a go. Great choice! Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault it! It has been fully refurbished since the previous management.

Popped in with my husband for breakfast this morning,, it’s had a complete overall, really clean and tidy, looks amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful they told me it’s under new management,, I’ll be back!! breakfast was lovely and plentiful and good value 😋 Keep up the good work.

We hadn’t been to Silly Sausage to eat in for quite some time, probably a year or so. I was so disappointed with the whole experience. This used to be a treat for us and it used to be spotlessly clean but it has totally changed. The floor was really dirty and sticky under foot. The tables were filthy. The sauce bottle lids were literally caked with old sauce that had set around the top, they definitely need to be cleaned. The tables were very dirty with previous diners plates, cups and cutlery were left for a while. When the lady came out to clear the tables she wiped the place mats with a damp cloth but didn’t clean the tables at all. You serve yourself to the cutlery when you’ve ordered the food, the cutlery wasn’t very clean either. I had to use wet wipes to clean them. I keep wet wipes in my bag for when we have the grandkids visit. We ordered a Mega breakfast for hubby and a large for me. We both had a Cappuccino. We didn’t have to wait too long for both to be served at the same time although we waited for our toast a good 5 mins after our food came out. The sausage could have been cooked for a couple of minutes more and the eggs were semi hard. But in all the food was really nice. My hubby’s food was served on a sizable chipped plate! (We’ve never eaten anywhere that would serve food on a chipped plate) It couldn’t have not been noticed when plating as it was a big chip and It was evident it was chipped. Sadly we both agreed we wouldn’t be eating here again.

A good old fashioned greasy spoon! Superb value for money, very tasty and the staff were very friendly. If you are ised to a greasy spoon the decor wont bother you. They didnt have enough sausages ready to put on my breakfast so compensated with several rashes of bacon! The toast came as a side dish. No complaints from me and my dad. Recommended to family that live nearby that didnt know it was there!

Ordered a sausage and tom dip sandwich, half way through and I noticed the bread is mouldy, carnt believe it if I wasn't too far away I'd be going back and demanding a refund. NEVER GO WILL I GO BACK.

Great place to eat a good sandwich bacon eggs sausage. Made to order. Full English breakfast if you have Time. With a mug of tea all reasonably priced and cooked to order.more on the menu.we sat outside even had a gull flying over for seaside effect. 😆 staff all lovely,friendly and welcoming.

Food disgusting. Eggs especially. Toast like bread. They left the new bread outside toilets. Staff greasy and not showered in a while. Some real low life benefit scum in there. I guess thats their main custom. Never again. Shame as macys was over the road but thought I'd take a chance. Keep my £7 towards getting the whole place knocked down. 🤮 also felt bad after eating the 3 bites. Stay away go macys. Should be able to give minus stars.

Reliable cafe with friendly service, next to the Stetchford retail park and industrial estate. They do delivery within the local area.

This Cafe is the best. I always order my breakfast either by delivery or going in. The quality of the food is great and I always have to get some orange juice as its wonderful. The staff are amazing. All the ladies and the gentleman. Just fantastic service and food. Keep up the great work. I recommend this place to all my friends. Siilly sausage was recommended to me when I came over from US and I havent stop going.

Nice enough cafe , quite quick - only negative : if the man takes my order it’s usually more expensive. Had a sausage and egg bap , he charged me £4.40 went another time lady charged me about £3.00 if not less. This always happens when he adds up the prices.

Had nice big breakfast. They put it in a takeaway for me. All cooked perfect. Nice people. Polite and nothing too much trouble for them to do for you. I recommend this cafe.

Use to go here every weekend I asked staff please could my beans be really hot she was very rude telly kitchen staff behind her make sure this order has hot beans even though they are hot the week befor they were luke warm the juice was watery meaning they are cold I didn't even complain about this won't be going back I felt so small disrespectful we pay for hot food done

Order from this cafe now for a few months usually lovely always pay extra as get delivery today they messed up our order so I called politely to tell them my response was so what u want me to drive to your house just to bring cappuccinos Evan tho Iv paid for them and I’m actally 5 minutes away from them. I said well really yes as Iv paid and I want a coffee I was then told to stop Shouting my mouth which I definitely wasn’t Evan tho the whole conversation she was rude loud and trying to be patronising but there completely diff ent when your ordering and their taking your money, clearly not a fan of making mistakes which for regular customers could have been sorted without any issues but the chavvy lady decided to be abusive so I wont be ordering from them again, food is 6/10 it’s decent if your hungry unless u need to complain please don’t you’ll receive a load of abuse
