Food good but expensive for what we had

I don’t even leave comments usually but THIS PLACE IS GREAT

The glass collector took half my drink which was purchased next door because I was with colleagues who said they were next door but weren’t so I sat down with a drink I had already purchased believing they were there to have it removed WHILE I was buying a round of drink from pure craft because he said I hadn’t purchased it. Absolutely pathetic mentality towards customers. Use your loaf. I was going to stay and buy more but because of the downright ridiculous attitude of your glass collector I’ll never return. Well done.

Went there briefly to celebrate a colleague's send off. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the general feel of the place. The staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The prices were reasonable and all my expectations were met.

Popped in for a couple of pints before a social event elsewhere. Friendly service, great beer at a reasonable price for the location. Also very nice and polished looking inside. The lady behind the bar asked if I was planning to get through each beer, and believe me, I'd have loved to! But I just went for the two I was sure I'd like most. They don't pack as much of a punch as other similar beers, but they make up for it with flavour.

We reserved a table for dinner. We were lucky because the girl who took our order spoke Spanish, how bad it was ending her shift but at least she helped us order. We ordered a large portion of wings that were good (8 units, 16 pounds), a plate of mac and cheese that was good but the portion is small (12 pounds), some fairly normal peppers (6 pounds), and a plate of meat that for the price it had was a very small portion, although at least it had potatoes and onion rings (28 pounds). To drink we ordered tap water and two beers (£6 each). Total we came out to 76 pounds, about €92. In my opinion, a little expensive for the amount they put in.

Table we were sat at was booked for 18:30, but we were asked to move at 18:02 as they had arrived early. It would have been reasonable to offer that we could finish our drinks and maybe made way about 18:15

Busy, fun and friendly tap house. Great selection of beers, good food choices and friendly staff. I can recommend the purity Pilsner and a portion of pork scratchings 🐖😜

Popped into Purecraft for Sunday lunch. Had the lemon soup to start and the Bavette of beef washed down with a couple of pints of Longhorn IPA. Everything was perfect and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Excellent quality real ale with several beers on cask and more available on keg.

I’m glad this bar has remained an entry in the Good Beer Guide; they’ve kept their prices down but the quality of the ale remains as good as ever. Make the most of it while you can!

I visited this Birmingham City Centre ale and eating bar on Wednesday 1st December 2021 This bloody, great purity free house is a must to visit if wanting great real ales and a pleasant company to drink in Spacious open plan pub East accessibility to the bar plenty of seating although it has a tendency to get full at eating times Fresh prepared food open kitchen areas Clean place 10 out of 10 Wednesday 15th January 2025 Again, we visited this lovely ale house in Victoria Square. This pub serves just Purity brewed ales 10 handpumps on today wit 8 different Purity ales on offer. This clean, well set out pub does food also . The staff were friendly and good at their jobs. An easygoing atmosphere in here and simply and well laid out and furnished ABOVE ALL PURITY BEERS ARE VERY NICE keep up good work here people

Great experience. We booked the cellar bar for my parents surprise 70th birthday party with 50 guests expected. All staff were amazing and worked really hard, the food was great and the beer and spirits are amazing. Great experience

If you love beer, this a must try place for their selection of beers! They also have a selection of finger food that taste extremely good and I tried the espresso martini, which was delicious. Definitely a bar to try if you’re visiting Birmingham. May have to reserve as it gets quite crowded in the nights.

Good food in an informal place in the center. Good scotch eggs and fish and chips. Craft beer. Advisable. relaxed atmosphere

5 dined sharing starters which were excellent. I had the sirloin as my main cooked blue. Whilst I prefer a more thick cut the meat was succulent and very tasty. The service from the moment we entered was very good. The atmosphere felt as though it is a very vibrant place to socialise and relax. We will be going again

Lovely selection beers. Great fresh food that seems a cut above the rest. Nice and cosy. Quieter than many others, so nice place to meet. Also has private function room downstairs.service was great

The Pub was full on a Thursday at 4 PM, so I imagine all those people were there for a reason. The food was great and the beer was fine. The downside for me was the musty smell and the loud atmosphere.

Very different type of city pub - bench seating but nice as you have to chat with others! I like the PURITY beers so, Im happy ! Downstairs (steep steps !) for more seating area.

Food was 4 star because I only had a pork pie with piccalilli, it was fab. Beers served in 2/3rds if you like, why don't more pubs do this? Place was buzzing. Local brewery, superb.

Difficult to gauge atmosphere on a quiet Monday night, but great pub and friendly service. Did not eat, the m EU looked interesting.

Decent city bar. Usual city prices plenty of seating and tables over several floors.

Food is simple pub food but the portions are generous, the speed of the service is good and the price is sensible. Purity beers plus a guest beer. This one is an interesting and surprising beer from a small brewery in Walthamstow, London.

Fine for beer, but not great for food. Several meals all cold and just not that exciting in the first place. Scotch egg was decent, but largely missing sausage meat. Roasted butternut squash looked really good, though!

Very nice bar/restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered burger and sandwich and everything was delicious. We had to swallow a bit when it came to the price, but it seems to be standard for the UK. 108 euros for four normal-sized portions and no fancy drinks is just a word. In Germany it would have cost half as much if the portions were larger!

La comida no era genial. las alitas eran alitas congeladas fritas con un poco de salsa vertida encima, no lo suficientemente bueno en estos días. El queso macarrones se quemó por encima, creo que querían quemarlo, pero solo significaba que todo el plato sabía a queso quemado. Mi esposa tenía el cheque GF, que estaba seco con una capa demasiado cocida. En cuanto al servicio, el tipo que podría haber sido un gerente no tenía recomendaciones. No nos preguntó si disfrutamos de la comida, simplemente dejamos caer la comida y la próxima vez que lo vimos fue para limpiar los platos y darme la cuenta. Muy mala experiencia.

I was taken on a pub tour. I thought it would be scary at night in Birmingham, but all the pubs were gentlemen's social gatherings.

Great place for a burger and pint. Lots of craft ales and beer to choose from. The food is very good, i had a fantastic cheese burger, and my wife, a lovely steak sandwich .

This place is like an upmarket Brewdog only with similar prices. Very wide selection of craft beers. I didn't eat here, but saw people eating. The food smelt delicious and they appeared to be enjoying it. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Outdoor seating available for warmer days.

It's great to see a few gluten free options on the tap.

A flank steak sold as Sunday roast (for 25 pounds) can not in principle work. I didn't.

Nice ale bar in the centre of Birmingham. A few Purity ales available on cask and in good condition, plus a host of keg beers to explore.

I am here on a Friday at 13 hours, not noisy, not busy, just the right atmosphere for a quick bite and the chance to chat with your friends and/or family. I ordered the cheese and steak sandwich. It was fine, nothing fancy, nothing extravagant, a very simple sandwich, I'd say. I was surprised by the fact that it seems to have cream instead of mayo, not sure if this is the way they do things here, I'm not from the UK. Service was great. The waiter was fast, friendly, attentive. The food also took a very short time to arrive. Overall, I spent 22£ for a sandwich with fries and a beer, not bad.

Este lugar marca todas las casillas correctas. Excelente cerveza, si te gusta la cerveza auténtica, excelente comida y excelente servicio. No es barato, pero tu dinero vale la pena. El personal era muy acogedor también, y realmente, no hay nada de qué quejarse.

Had been looking forward to trying this place out but my pint of Jimbo was very poor. Barmaid was a bit surly too. Plenty of good pubs nearby so it's back to the OC for me

Visité muchas veces y este lugar nunca decepciona. Cracking hamburguesas y probamos el Common Man IPA por primera vez habiendo agotado prácticamente todas las cervezas Purity producen y le apetecía un cambio. Una cerveza fina - brumosa, afrutada y aunque es un poco más cara, vale cada centavo. No podía fallar el servicio. Puras naves lo tienen en el lugar. Ubicación perfecta también!

Really like it here. At 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon it was packed with a great atmosphere, although after about 15 mins we managed to get a table. Great beers. Slightly older crowd on a Saturday afternoon.

A staple location for my friendship group from work. Good selection of liquids, great kitchen and cozy atmosphere. Always the backup for when I don't know if someone visiting likes a specific cuisine.

Very good beer centrally located near Victoria square. They have a fine selection of craft beer from Purity and a board with tasting notes etc. All reasonably priced as well. Nice premises with good range of small and large tables. Friendly staff. Certainly now on my regular list.

Great craft beer pub with so many awesome taps to choose from. Gets packed, so get there early or book ahead. Share plates and small bites are perfect for a session of beer tasting, and there are bigger plates for those that come hungry!

The waiter gave me good advice even though I'm not English. The beer and the mini pie were very good. Very clean place.

A good beer selection available, but not looked after particularly well. Lots of high ABV's, so narrowed the choice for me. The decor is the popular industrial model. I did not eat here but what i saw was promising. All said I would visit again to to ensure that I am not judging to harshly. Visited again yesterday and had the food this time. The chef was on the way out but he fulfilled our order, it was a quiet evening and late. He didn't have too so thank you for that. The food was good and would happily dine here again. Over all a very positive experience.

Sunday lunchtime visit. Hadn’t been here in a few years but was happy to find their fish and chips as good as I remembered. Huge portions defeated us. Nice vibe to this place, although it was quiet when we visited.

This place should have a higher score but there is just something about the atmosphere. It's a bit austere and cold. The seating doesn't help. The beers themselves are fine. Price is ok for town as well. Sub £6 for most of the selection. Food, especially the bar snacks are delicious but on the expensive side for what you get. The whole pork pie and scotch egg needs a little refresh as well but do taste great.

The food leaves a lot to be desired. Fine for drinks but we paid £16 for the most depressing chicken burger and chips. Do not recommend eating here. The drinks were nice but really not sure why they bother serving food - go somewhere else to eat something delicious for the same price!

Now then... just simply! If your BORED of the same old pub ales & lagers then choose class at this establishment. A dear friend of mine has an office across the road & for the love of God how he makes it home daily is a mystery... I'd move in!

Friendly service, delicious local craft beer, imaginative tasty food served in relaxed and pleasant surroundings. Just a shame it wasn't busier, as everyone involved has obviously worked hard to make this a really good place to eat and drink.

We booked this gem of a place for lunch while visiting the Christmas Market. What a find! Great food (we both had burgers) and an excellent range of real ales to choose from to wash them down. It's well worth searching out if you're ever in town 👌

Had to sit in the cellar.... Lacked atmosphere. Bar staff kept letting the door slam which was extremely loud and annoying....

A quiet Sunday lunch venue but this place deserves far more custom because the food is really excellent. It's not cheap but you do get what you pay for. Burger and fantastic tasting chips for me, really excellent, and soup and scotch egg for my friend, also delicious. Thank you, Purecraft, and please keep up the high standard of food you serve.

Really cool craft beer bar close to the Colmore so always pop in. Plenty of choice and even though I haven't tried it yet, food looks and smells amazing!

Enjoyed my time there. Haven't tried the food yet but I will be going back to check it out. Overall, the beer was good. Didn't know what I wanted by the bar staff let me test a few to find the perfect pint. It was a little more expensive than other places but I enjoyed my stay...

Lovely food and a good selection of beers. Do check the small print, for example, some 8% abv beers are £8.50 for a half pint. The food was good, but a small plate-scotch egg, literally was a scotch egg and nothing else with a £9.50 price tag. Other items were fairly priced, fish and chips £17, best bitter £4.95 a pint.

Great place with a perfect variety of beer. Definitely want to come back. Cheers from Germany
