Good, if expensive, food. Wide choice of beer available. Would definitely visit again.

Difficult to gauge atmosphere on a quiet Monday night, but great pub and friendly service. Did not eat, the m EU looked interesting.

Decent city bar. Usual city prices plenty of seating and tables over several floors.

Good brewery pub. Food is expensive? Come on you're serving sausage rolls!!

Food is simple pub food but the portions are generous, the speed of the service is good and the price is sensible. Purity beers plus a guest beer. This one is an interesting and surprising beer from a small brewery in Walthamstow, London.

Fine for beer, but not great for food. Several meals all cold and just not that exciting in the first place. Scotch egg was decent, but largely missing sausage meat. Roasted butternut squash looked really good, though!

Very nice bar/restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered burger and sandwich and everything was delicious. We had to swallow a bit when it came to the price, but it seems to be standard for the UK. 108 euros for four normal-sized portions and no fancy drinks is just a word. In Germany it would have cost half as much if the portions were larger!

I was taken on a pub tour. I thought it would be scary at night in Birmingham, but all the pubs were gentlemen's social gatherings.

Great place for a burger and pint. Lots of craft ales and beer to choose from. The food is very good, i had a fantastic cheese burger, and my wife, a lovely steak sandwich .

Lovely selection beers. Great fresh food that seems a cut above the rest. Nice and cosy. Quieter than many others, so nice place to meet. Also has private function room downstairs.

This place is like an upmarket Brewdog only with similar prices. Very wide selection of craft beers. I didn't eat here, but saw people eating. The food smelt delicious and they appeared to be enjoying it. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Outdoor seating available for warmer days.

It's great to see a few gluten free options on the tap.

A flank steak sold as Sunday roast (for 25 pounds) can not in principle work. I didn't.

Nice ale bar in the centre of Birmingham. A few Purity ales available on cask and in good condition, plus a host of keg beers to explore.

I am here on a Friday at 13 hours, not noisy, not busy, just the right atmosphere for a quick bite and the chance to chat with your friends and/or family. I ordered the cheese and steak sandwich. It was fine, nothing fancy, nothing extravagant, a very simple sandwich, I'd say. I was surprised by the fact that it seems to have cream instead of mayo, not sure if this is the way they do things here, I'm not from the UK. Service was great. The waiter was fast, friendly, attentive. The food also took a very short time to arrive. Overall, I spent 22£ for a sandwich with fries and a beer, not bad.

Had been looking forward to trying this place out but my pint of Jimbo was very poor. Barmaid was a bit surly too. Plenty of good pubs nearby so it's back to the OC for me

Really like it here. At 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon it was packed with a great atmosphere, although after about 15 mins we managed to get a table. Great beers. Slightly older crowd on a Saturday afternoon.

A staple location for my friendship group from work. Good selection of liquids, great kitchen and cozy atmosphere. Always the backup for when I don't know if someone visiting likes a specific cuisine.

We had a great time here. The food and beer were excellent.

Very good beer centrally located near Victoria square. They have a fine selection of craft beer from Purity and a board with tasting notes etc. All reasonably priced as well. Nice premises with good range of small and large tables. Friendly staff. Certainly now on my regular list.

Great craft beer pub with so many awesome taps to choose from. Gets packed, so get there early or book ahead. Share plates and small bites are perfect for a session of beer tasting, and there are bigger plates for those that come hungry!

A good beer selection available, but not looked after particularly well. Lots of high ABV's, so narrowed the choice for me. The decor is the popular industrial model. I did not eat here but what i saw was promising. All said I would visit again to to ensure that I am not judging to harshly. Visited again yesterday and had the food this time. The chef was on the way out but he fulfilled our order, it was a quiet evening and late. He didn't have too so thank you for that. The food was good and would happily dine here again. Over all a very positive experience.

Sunday lunchtime visit. Hadn’t been here in a few years but was happy to find their fish and chips as good as I remembered. Huge portions defeated us. Nice vibe to this place, although it was quiet when we visited.

This place should have a higher score but there is just something about the atmosphere. It's a bit austere and cold. The seating doesn't help. The beers themselves are fine. Price is ok for town as well. Sub £6 for most of the selection. Food, especially the bar snacks are delicious but on the expensive side for what you get. The whole pork pie and scotch egg needs a little refresh as well but do taste great.

The food leaves a lot to be desired. Fine for drinks but we paid £16 for the most depressing chicken burger and chips. Do not recommend eating here. The drinks were nice but really not sure why they bother serving food - go somewhere else to eat something delicious for the same price!

Now then... just simply! If your BORED of the same old pub ales & lagers then choose class at this establishment. A dear friend of mine has an office across the road & for the love of God how he makes it home daily is a mystery... I'd move in!

Friendly service, delicious local craft beer, imaginative tasty food served in relaxed and pleasant surroundings. Just a shame it wasn't busier, as everyone involved has obviously worked hard to make this a really good place to eat and drink.

We booked this gem of a place for lunch while visiting the Christmas Market. What a find! Great food (we both had burgers) and an excellent range of real ales to choose from to wash them down. It's well worth searching out if you're ever in town 👌

Had to sit in the cellar.... Lacked atmosphere. Bar staff kept letting the door slam which was extremely loud and annoying....

A quiet Sunday lunch venue but this place deserves far more custom because the food is really excellent. It's not cheap but you do get what you pay for. Burger and fantastic tasting chips for me, really excellent, and soup and scotch egg for my friend, also delicious. Thank you, Purecraft, and please keep up the high standard of food you serve.

Really cool craft beer bar close to the Colmore so always pop in. Plenty of choice and even though I haven't tried it yet, food looks and smells amazing!

Enjoyed my time there. Haven't tried the food yet but I will be going back to check it out. Overall, the beer was good. Didn't know what I wanted by the bar staff let me test a few to find the perfect pint. It was a little more expensive than other places but I enjoyed my stay...

Lovely food and a good selection of beers. Do check the small print, for example, some 8% abv beers are £8.50 for a half pint. The food was good, but a small plate-scotch egg, literally was a scotch egg and nothing else with a £9.50 price tag. Other items were fairly priced, fish and chips £17, best bitter £4.95 a pint.

Delightful selection of tasty ales.

This IS one my favourite places in Brum to pop in after work for a pint or two in a warm environment. Great range of locally-brewed craft beers, but a disappointing experience with the food tonight. Very overpriced fish and chips (£18), measly fish portion with barely any batter, and cold mushy peas. A few chips plonked underneath the fish - poor presentation. The ‘Mac n Cheese’ is Macaroni Cheese which we both mistakenly thought was a burger (OK I hear you - we weren’t at a Mac Donalds) but not sure why the confusing title, ok we should have been more thorough reading the menu but poor communication generally, it had been a long day and the fact we asked if it came with chips should flag a need for clarity. Not offered a replacement, even though we would have returned the Mac n Cheese, and wouldn’t have cost them more than a £1, and it wasn’t eaten because of the over abundance of carbs. Will go back for beer - the guy was very friendly and good manner at the bar, but won’t be eating there again, so I’m afraid that’s a lot than a £1 in deficit. Customer is always wrong, and feels money wasted.

Many beer choices. Really good ones! It could be more beautifully firnished and decorated to create a cosy and warm environment.

Great range of drinks, although it would be good to have more variety if soft drinks. Food was really nice to include gluten free options as my wife is a coeliac. Service was very good and prices were okay given it was in Birmingham. City centre. Overall a great experience, definitely would recommend.

An impressive selection of ales in this pub. I had two different Purity ales, and would recommend that you try a bit before you buy. The bartender's recommendation was spot on regarding his opinion on the better ale. The only disappointment was that cash is not accepted. Quite annoying if you've withdrawn cash earlier.

This is a place I have been to many times over the years. I am a big fan of Purity beer and seize the chance to visit Purecraft whenever I'm in Birmingham. The bar is spacious, and has a good feel not often found in the city centre. Historically, I have found the food to be incredible. Just exactly what you want when having a few beers with your mates. It's high quality, and worth the extra pennies because you can appreciate the quality produce and standards. However, on Saturday, portion sizes were notably smaller than previous visits. £10 for a scotch egg and £16 for a burger was a stretch but acceptable in times gone by. Sadly, this burger came with 13 fries and a noticeably smaller bun. With a modest tip, £35 for this much food and one beer was not worth it which is a real shame. Please note that the glass in the picture is a pint glass for perspective. I cannot fault the taste of anything I had but for the money I'll have to think twice before eating here again. Shrinkflation has taken hold.

Great range of beer here, absolutely no shortage of choice. Bar snacks were nice too. Friendly and welcoming staff as well. Would happily return. Good selection of gluten free beers if that's your bag, and nice to see an alcohol free option on tap.

Many beers and alcohol beverages on the menu, the food tastes great and is well prepared, and the waiter is very friendly.

Absolutely amazing great beer and service

Have not been here for a couple of years but decided a return visit was due. Beers were enjoyed - Purity Mad Goose and Helles Lager. Food was very much enjoyed - Fish & Chips ( delicious fish) & Flat Iron Steak, both very good quality & cooked beautifully. Service was also excellent. We will return to sample other offerings on the menu and some more beer!

Fantastic Sunday Roast. Freshly cooked portions of beef featherblade, cooked to your liking or tender rolled lamb belly, served with crispy potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, vegetables and cauliflower cheese. Not to mention the huge beer menu!

A great welcome, very well kept beer but the food lacked size and volume at above average prices in Birmingham that lead to having to go elsewhere afterwards to fill up after a steak plus desert both tasty but inadequate in portion size - you have been warned :0(

Popped in for a drink , friendly staff and manager is also polite and pleasant as when walking past our table noticed the other halfs drink didn't look right so arranged to get it changed (that's how to look after your customers), always worth a visit when up town

Before going out for a meal, I fancied a pint of real ale, so I popped in as previously I had been impressed. Not this time ! A pint of UBU which is supposed to be served just below room temperature, was served ultra cold killing all the flavour. When I complained, I was told that they were proud to serve their beers at much colder temperatures than other pubs and that the lack of flavour was to be expected. They would not change the drink. So I left and went to the Old Stock and had a pint of Peroni instead. It was chilled as expected but much much warmer than the UBU. I will not be going back to Purecraft!

I have been to this bar several times as they always have a good selection of craft beers from Purity as well as others from a number of other wholesome beer producers. The atmosphere within the bar is always friendly, it never gets too busy or loud or full of groups of idiots on stag / hen do's.....it has always felt just right. I spent a couple of hours in the bar again today with my family and had a brill time, good food, great beer and attentive staff. I mean, very attentive staff. I can't fault them, they were brilliant. From offering to refresh your drinks to checking the food is OK (which it was by the way, very good) they have got you covered and to top it off, when I accidentally dropped a few quid on the floor without realizing, within 60 seconds the helpful member of staff who noticed what had happened had brought it back to me at my table. What more can I say, superb.....give that man a medal. I want to say avoid everywhere else and go to Purecraft but to be honest I selfishly want it to maintain its current vibe and not get too busy with herds of lads & lasses out on the town. So, er....go there if you have to but not oo many people please because I don't want it to be too busy next time I visit. Thanks.

Been here a few times whenever I’m in Birmingham. Great selection of beers and nice atmosphere. Had the katsu burger this time and it was fab. Definitely my go to place for drinks and tasty fuss free food

Went with family for Sunday roast. Starter of chicken wings was deep fried bland, tasteless and smothered in a tasteless VERY hot sauce which was pointless if you are unable to eat. Roast dinner tasteless flat iron beef, roast potatoes deep fried, watery gravy, eggy tasting yorkshire pudding and side of cauliflower cheese cover in thick wallpaper paste cheese sauce. Cooking by numbers - staff were great.

Very good service at the bar. I was very pleased with the selection of beers. Haven't had food this time but will definitely do next time.

I've been to Pure Craft many times over the years, but, for one reason or another, I've only had drinks. The selection of beers there is brilliant, but I've now had a meal there, and it didn't disappoint. The service was friendly throughout, and a great selection on the menu...things you don't often see. I went for the ham hock hash, which was really tasty! Great sides too!

Great pub with a huge choice of craft beers, ciders and IPA’s Always lots of choice and the bar has lots of seating for couples and groups. They serve food and lots of small plates and I tried the scotch egg and it was really good. All in all a great place to meet with friends, have a few drinks and snacks in a relaxed environment. Popped in for drinks with friends. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, fab range of beers. It was very busy, but plenty of staff. Ability to order via staff tablets at the table and run up a tap greatly contributed to slick service.

We dined here and enjoyed good food, timely table service and an impressively wide choice of lagers and ales. Full marks (as commented) to the attentive and engaging barman who was happy to advise, decant a sample and even remember drinks choices. A credit to the establishment. All in all: recommended!

We attended yesterday for a Christmas work event. The staff were amazing, especially Victor who kept up with the demands of our large group. The food and drinks were spot on, and served really quickly. All staff were very friendly and welcoming, they couldn’t do enough for us.
