Silk Route Indian Restaurant in Preston

Just been to theeee best Indian restaurant in Preston! The silk route absolutely blew me away with their amazing food! All freshly prepared and so flavoursome! The jalfrezi and the madras were excellent. The prices were fantastic and I would recommend this place without hesitation, you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back

The management and all employees cannot do enough for you, food is bang on, toilets are spotless. Ample parking, it's worth a visit.

Service terrible. Staff incredibly rude. Food quality not great. Waited 45 minute to for popadoms. We went for a friends birthday on a mototown night. Lots of money was spent - wine all night the table. There was no special treatment given it was a 60th birthday celebration. The staff just threw down the surprise birthday cake at the other end of the table - no where near the birthday guest. I complained to the manager on the night - I received attitude from he staff member who brought the cake to the table. The manager never took my details or had any intentions of making right our bad experience. A free cocktail on the night for the birthday girl would have probably sufficed. I called back the day after and briefly spoke to the manager but he said he was too busy to talk to me and could I call back Monday. Entertainment was great and there was a good atmosphere of guest. However it was cleaner the staff were overwhelmed and too busy.

Poor service, waited over an hour for starters to come out. Was not worth the wait unfortunately. Very disappointed.

we could not proceed with our meal due to the lack of adequate customer care provided. originally we placed an order of one meal and a few sides which was not disputed. shortly another waiter came and was rude, snappy and completely condescending, absolutely unacceptable behaviour. she spoke down to us and could not answer simple questions, terrible experience, stating we HAD to order more as there was ‘no point’. appalling attitude and an incredibly rude tone from the waiter. zero customer service and people skills shown, we were there for maybe 15-20 mins max. clearly not sufficient communication with kitchen and staff.

This is my first visit with my cousins who visit regularly. I was really impressed, warm welcome and superb presentation. Food was delicious! Banging chicken biriani with Jalfrezi sauce

Extremely rude staff with very poor customer service demanding that we order more food as a couple of mains and sides/starters was apparently not enough to bother the kitchen with! When asked why this was an issue the FOH was incredibly rude and condescending and demanded we order more mains if we wanted to be served. Would not go back there again

Always have a great time here. The food is marvellous and piping hot, served at your table. Staff are always attentive and friendly and not too pricey either. Highly recommended.

We have not been tot the Silk Route for years and decided to give it a try. It was always good food and value for money. We went on the 1st March, the restaurant was busy with few tables free. We was greeted straight away and asks to take a seat and they would be with us very shortly. A waiter came to take our drinks but couldn’t get the order in before we was shown to our table. Service was good, we decided to go for the banquet option. The food was nice and tasty, we even took some leftovers home. Would definitely recommend and will be back and won’t leave it as long next time. Thankyou Silk Route.

It’s not good restaurants, that not for worthy food no humanity, management is very bad they won’t give respect for customers. Worst customer experience I hadn’t experienced like this before. Don’t expect more from this restaurant for good situation.

Booked a table for 9 on Monday for last night . However despite it being empty the table wasn’t ready Food was really good . Except for cold onion bajee being served changed them imediately A party of four came in , but despite being so quiet & us all having 2 courses accompniants & drinks . There was no conversation at all from The server( think it was the manager) Nor was there any goodnight or even a thank you when we left . Very dissapointing & quite rude we thought !

Unfortunately, v.disappointed with our order. Korma lacked flavour and tasted watery and lamb was tough.Poppadoms were soft & we were missing pots from chutney tray. Won’t be ordering again.

Only our second order from Silk Route and both have been delicious. Naan is especially good. Could feed two with the Tandoori Mixed Grill.

i ordered burjani with lamb, o get with chicken. Ordered samosa with chicken, o get with vegetable. This is not OK.

Recently just found this restaurant and we’ve had both delivery and take away, and always 10/10 experience for us. Friendly staff and good food, with drinks. With delivery, always piping hot on delivery. Can’t fault it!

Had an absolute great time here on Christmas day. The food, service was absolutely brilliant. Special mention to Ali who made us feel so welcome as soon as we walked in. An absolute brilliant day. Thanks again Paul

Fab food and great value for money

Large group of us went in and majority of us ordered a curry. If you're from an Asian background, they won't be for you....mine was way too sweet and had no taste to the masala. Ordered a lamb karahi, where the meat was so tough, I'm convinced it was mutton they gave me! Staff and atmosphere fine. No complaints there.

As soon as we walk in we are Greeted by Ali or one of his Team and Shown to our Table. We are Given a Few Minutes to Settle then Drink Orders are Taken. This gives us Pleny of Time to Choose from the Super Menu. . Not a Long Wait for Food. Piping Hot as Normal and always Tasty.

The food wasn’t up to the usual standard. 2 drinks were missing. The chutney tray didn’t have the items we chose. The garlic naan was very overcooked and dry. The chicken was cold. Very disappointing

This is a gem. The staff are really friendly and can’t do enough. The food is delicious with plentiful portions. They even give you a takeaway tray if you can not finish your meal. Definitely worth a visit

Appalling for £220 pounds. Food took absolutely ages to come and was cold and bland when it did arrive. We are also charged £1 per poppadom meaning we ended up paying £13 for poppadoms.... never in my life have I been charged that! To add the restaurant was empty and we still ended up waiting absolutely AGES to even get a starter and it was stone cold. First and last time as we felt absolutely robbed.

This place serves amazing food which is very authentic. My kids love it and it's their favourite restaurant by far. They have a lovely setting and mixed selection of music. Clean with toilet seats for kids and adults. Don't usually find that anywhere. Never rushed and happily take our time when ordering. Happy family restaurant.

Serving a party of 40 people,is not easy for any restaurant.,but the service was smooth and attentive,food came out hot,and it was sumptuous,everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere was great. Thanks to the chef for recommendation and the management for complimentary drinks. And the 2 waitresses were amazing.

Service was good but a little slow for my liking, waited a little long for mains and our group almost wasn't hungry anymore... myself and my fiancé were fine though and the food was fantastic!!! I will be back!!

Fantastic Indian restaurant. Very handy for Preston City centre and very accessible due to the large car park provided on site. Staff are very polite and professional in a very relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Lamb ribs so chewy my teeth didn’t make an impact. Lamb rogan josh about 1cm of oil on the top. Chips were full of grease it dripped out. Missed off rice, hoppers and chicken tikka off our banquet for 2. Rang and spoke to the manager and only response was get a refund from just eat and if you don’t want to order from us again then that’s up to you. No recompense for all items and food so deserves this review. Sorry

Great place. Attended a very large retirement meal and the whole group was perfectly catered for. On our table alone were 2 people with specific dietry requirements who did not go hungry. The banquet was incredible. So. Much. Food. All of it delicious, the staff were lovely too. Excellent place to eat.

Curry could be thicker, the sauces for the poppadoms were really watery. Stale poppadoms - Shame as we used this curry house a lot in lockdown but we won’t be having it again.

Another brilliant meal at or fave Indian last night for granddaughters' birthday. Table magician Xand was fabulous too made her night.

This was my second curry from here and both times have been really good. Both delivered on time, food was hot and really tasty. My only criticism is that both times I ordered the pickle platter for the poppadoms, and you can choose which 4 accompaniments you want. Both times I choose 3 onion chutney and 1 other and both deliveries were 1 of each of the 4 choices. Please read the customers choice

Ordered delivery which arrived 90 minutes after ordering. Came barely warm and very dry obviously been sat on warming plate awaiting delivery. Extremely disappointing.

This is the worst place. I would advise not to visit here. They are selling food in the name of Indian food but they just can't make the I dian food at all. The behavior was worst when they were told about the food stating Goras (British) do come and eat. Well, poor people don't k ow the taste hence are eating such rubbish food here.

New Steak House in Preston!! Cook your own at the table. Excellent flavour from 28day Aberdeen Angus beef, choice of Sirloin, Ribeye and Fillet with Steak Chips and Mushrooms on the side.

Really great food from here. We pick the hotter curries...they are not just spicy but also very tasty. Large portions and plenty of chicken in them. All arrived on time and hot.

A Disgraceful Display of Racism and Abuse I am compelled to share my experience at Silk route Indian restaurant, where I witnessed appalling behaviour towards the staff, particularly my friend’s father, who was subjected to racist insults and abuse during our visit. This establishment not only failed in its duty to provide a pleasant dining experience but actively condoned discrimination and harassment. The incident involving my friends father was despicable and completely unacceptable. No one should endure such treatment, especially in a place that claims to offer hospitality. It is disgraceful that management allowed this behavior to occur unchecked, tarnishing the reputation of the restaurant irreparably. Moreover, the food and service were overshadowed by the toxic atmosphere perpetuated by the staff's behavior. The lack of respect for customers and fellow employees is indicative of deeper cultural issues within the establishment. I strongly urge potential patrons to reconsider supporting a business that fosters such toxicity and hatred. Discrimination has no place in any workplace, let alone one that serves the public. Until there is a significant change in management and policies, I cannot in good conscience recommend Silk route Indian restaurant to anyone.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING RESTAURANT!!!! DO NOT VISIT. This foul restaurant hires employees and verbally torments and abuses them. Their treatment of staff is extremely unethical and they treat them as if they are slaves, they overwork them to the point of literal mental and physical torture. My father was employed by this restaurant for a week, he is a kind, peaceful and calm mannered man who just needed a stable job to support a family and put food on the table. The rude employer and the employers wife (who was even worse) treated him as if he was nothing, as if he was of no value at all. They then sacked him, for God knows whatever reason, my father is competent and has been in the restaurant industry for over 3 decades, but has never worked at an organisation that treats their employees with such less respect. If you want to keep supporting this kind of behaviour and maltreatment, then continue to dine here, but if you agree that it is completely unacceptable, do not give them any of your business! They might seem nice and friendly to your face, but what goes on behind closed doors is quite frankly inhumane, my poor father was left mental issues and has to take rest from working just because of what this business put him through. This business is going to be reported and they will be dealt with accordingly.

The driver got lost. He was in an incorrect location, after the initial call to say he was outside, he didn't pick up for me to advise him he wasn't. He was literally 2 minutes away, but he could not understand my directions. After 20 minutes and tracking him on the app I went out to find him on foot. I found him walking around a car park with the delivery bag unzipped, when I met him he passed me the food. I've took this back to find it barely warm. I am very disappointed with this
