Mango tree in Preston

Food arrived 2 hr 45 min after ordering, order stated max 65 minutes. Food was cold on arrival, poppadoms stale and soft. £50 spent on food we had to reheat. Used to love it here, won't be ordering again.

3 hours wait for the food! Ordered food from this takeaway a few days ago, had to wait 3 hours for the food. A very bad experience so never ordering from them again. 1hr 30 min food still not delivered so, called the shop to find out the delivery time, i was told the driver already left. 2 hrs been still no food so called the takeaway again, and they said the food is getting prepared. I asked, why they lied before, the guy become very rude and said they have been very busy so i have to understand and wait. He said another 15 min. They made me wait another 1 hour, so waited 3 hours for the food. Food was just okay, all the curries tasted similar. Based on my experience i would not recommend anyone to order from this shop. Only order if you are not hungry and want food in 3 to 4 hrs time. Order today again over £70. Waited 2 hours. Food quality below average. Never again! I was hoping the delivery time to be improved but not improved at all. Food quality even worse. Avoid at all cost!!

Been using Mango Tree for a couple of years now. Food has always been excellent and delivery prompt.

I love everything about the Mango Tree...I remember when they first opened and how passionate the staff were ...they have managed to keep the same principles..But you might have to wait an hour for delivery..but don't complain ..its busy for a reason!!!!!

Disappointed takeaway tonight from Mango Tree, Preston. The mixed Pasanda was bland, tasteless, very gloopy and had 2 mini shrimps classed as prawns. It wasn’t even the right colour!!! I respectfully requested a refund due to being unsatisfied with the meal but was rudely told it’s a mild dish and and no refund offered !!! There’s mild and tasteless, sadly mine was the later.

Updated my previous 5* review because for the past 3 orders which I've collected, have been missing main dishes. First Time, I telephoned and had to go back out to collect. The second time, the stand-in manager, tried to charge me again for a replacement, so I had to travel back again. Third time again this evening, we were promised next time we went in, we would be looked after, but it was the contrary- they'd missed a main meal again!!! This is annoying because rice and naan breads are getting cold and the rest of the family are all eating. I'd recommend you thoroughly check your orders before leaving the restaurant. This is three times too many!

First of all, credit it where it's due, Ive used Mango Tree maybe 10 times to date for my Indian takeways (3 times in the last few months) and food is very very good; and that is obviously the most important thing. So absolutely no complaints in that respect! HOWEVER their service handling tonight was abysmal. I ordered my delivery online and was given an "expected" delivery time of 8.45pm which was ideal. Since the order goes via a 3rd party payment merchant I always like to call just to make sure its all gone through okay which I did shortly after, and was surprised to hear it was "on its way".....nearly 1-hour earlier than it said online but no problem for me, I left friends and family and went home. 25 mins later....no food arrival, and when calling told was told "yes on its left as is on it's way". (surely imminent?). 20mins later had to call again and was apologetically told it's only "3-4mins away". Told them I wasnt happy and I hope it's not cold, I dont mind if its late but please dont lie to me. They reaffirmed it was "3-4mins away and dont worry the food is in special boxes to keep hot" Another 20mins after that it arrived!!! And the curry was indeed cold so I had to put in microwave. Look, I genuinely do not care if food is going to be late, I totally appreciate its a busy time of year and things inevitably go wrong. But lying to customers is just unacceptable. I run my own business and being brave and owning up to errors is integral to customer service Really pissed off as a result. I curtailed my time with family and friends when it was meant to be an hour early, then had to chase my order 3 times after lies, and then had to warm it all up when it arrived. Even if it means slightly worse food elsewhere, today is my last order with Mango Tree. Got to have your principles.

The Garlic Balti Masala is to die for!! Delivery is a bit slow but think that is down to Just Eat more than the restaurant. Staff are always super helpful and welcoming. Couldn't recommend the food highly enough!

Great curry, starters and mains but as usual delivery times are a joke. Ordered at 5 on a Sunday and didn’t arrive for 2 hours. As much as I love the. Good I’ll be giving it a miss for a while to use someone more reliable.

Curry is not my favourite food I bet it’s been two years since I last ate one but my wife loves them and the last place we used to order from occasionally changed hands so this was our first order from mango tree but will not be our last I had the keema balti it was full of Flavour not greasy nor did it burn your mouth not spicy I can highly recommend it My wife had a chicken tikka balti masala and the chicken was chunky and FULl of flavour The mixed starter was amazing and the all important naan bread was think fluffy and full of garlic just beautiful I think this will be our monthly treat from now on Well done Mango Tree

I don't often write reviews on eating establishments as many of my fans will know . But Ee by gum that's the best bloody take away curry this side of Hull.

The food was delicious and price worthy

Had a customer request which was to put a sticker on the bag to seal it due to having a person with OCD in the household. Last time we had ordered we had the loveliest experience from one of the staff saying he understands and relates to the situation and tried his best to make it perfect for us which it was. He was so so understanding and had the best intentions. This time we rung and the customer experience we received was awful. They didn’t want to understand and we could hear people from the shop saying to hung up the phone. We will never order from this store again as we felt very uncomfortable with the way we were treated; no inclusivity whatsoever. It’s a shame really as we have absolutely loved the food from this store and we thought it was by far the best in Preston. Unfortunately we won’t be choosing this place again due to being treated like that.

Went last night and ordered 1 curry and 1 rice and 4 chapati and she tried charging me £21.50. I just put the same order together on their menu and it came in at 15.50... she then tried to tell me curry has gone up 😄 now that's funny. Watch out as they rinse you for walking in and ordering. WHAT A JOKE. Then watched her stuff cash into her phone case. Very odd and feel robbed.

The food is ok. But they are a very busy take away. So you waiting a long time for delivery. We have waited over 2 hours for delivery and staff answering phone make up stories. Just leaving now etc. It's never true. I think they need to stop doing deliveries as they can't cope.

OMG! This is the real deal all right! Proper chefs you can watch them at their skill and a great host makes you feel very welcome. The specials are beyond anything I've ever tasted! Can't wait to go again soon. Absolutely superb!

Fresh and tasty authentic Indian food served by efficient and friendly people. The place is reassuringly busy. I'd recommend the Tandoori Mixed Grill, I get x2 meals out of it, and my (veggie) wife loves the Tandoori Paneer. Highly recommended.

Great food but took 2 hours an 15min to turn up, After phoning the reastrount the guy on phone said my delivery was out with driver and he had 15 to deliver , by the time it turned up it was cold and late ☹

Great food(personal opinion) Everyone has different tastes. Huge portions, 1 curry with sides easily feeds 2 people.

They had no salmon in which was disappointing. However the curry is outstanding. The chicken fell apart. Hopefully next time a garlic chilli salmon balti will be even more outstanding! (Just to add “bill Salisbury”. If it’s your favourite takeaway why not review it at its best and not it worst???)

Rubbish rubbish recommendation. Two and half hours and a completely awful first experience and let me tell you the very last. Got shouted at on the phone for chasing my order that took 2 hours 20 minutes! Like it was my fault. They lied to me twice saying it’ll be a few minutes.. when it did finally come I had to direct the driver and of course when it came it was cold. Not even a nice curry wasn’t even worth the wait. I contacted food hub who said they cannot refund me and I should contact the restaurant that shouted at me down the phone! I will be spreading the word to not come here at all. DO NOT ORDER

This is it. I’ve done some searching I can tell you. But the Mango Tree in Preston is the best curry house I have ever been to. I started in my first job in the infamous Chirk Tandoori. An unrivalled butter chicken and world class hospitality made me believe nothing would ever surpass the lofty heights the Chirk Tandoori reached. I never thought this day would come but it has. This is it. Seemingly the perfect curry. The Lamb Tikka Garlic Balti Massala - Madras Hot. Thank you Mango Tree Preston, until we meet again.

It was a Sunday teatime, we were hungry and that's when we found a local diamond. On the off chance that they were open we called and "yes they were", we made our order and took it home. OMG. My mouth went on a short visit to heaven. The food was tasty well made not to spicy and still piping hot with almost more than the four of us could eat. We all gave them 100% and went back a few days later.

I regularly drive past Mango Tree and decided it was time to try them,,,,, their food is delicious, portion sizes are great, and as well as rice I have chips and their chunky chips are great too. Their (open) kitchen is busy, and that's good. And they have a loyalty scheme so I'm looking forward to my free curry. Keep it up guys!

We had a takeaway from the Mango Tree this evening . Lamb Korai and lamb shashlik.Quite simply the best Indian food we have ever had ! And we’ve had a lot over the years ! Just beautiful food and service . We will be back 👍

I have a picture if a black lady with a mango covering her privates which prompted me to sample the delightful cuisine on offer from this establishment. I can confirm...a culinary feast for the senses..

We had a delivery of Mixed Grill, Pasanda sauce, Butter Chicken and Plain Boiled Rice. It was lovely. The portions are very generous and the food delicious. Waiting time for delivery was almost one hour but communication was good and we were kept informed. We are not habitual takeaway people but will definitely order from Mango Tree again at some point

I ordered a large family meal of about 10 different dishes. I found the curries disappointingly bland and very sweet. In the order were two separate byriani dishes, I anticipated receiving a lovely spicy vegetable curry with crispy cauli and chili etc. to supplement my prawns and meat. No: I got a couple of trays of over-cooked liquid slop, like soup, which went in the bin, Also, I disliked the attitude of the young man at the counter who was loquacious, rude and cocky. "I shouldn't be doing this but I'm going to to give you a discount card" - as though I'm completely stupid. All - in - all, I won't return because the food was dull and boring. Much better curries are available elsewhere in Preston from my extensive experience. You also might not have to put up with some irritating juvenile counter staff.

I tried Mango Tree for the first time last week and was happy with the meal of Lamb Achari, Chicken Tikka Massala with plain Nan Bread. As I enjoyed it so much last week I decided to have Lamb Hari Mirchi with Peshwari Nan this week, which was very disappointing. The nan was especially disappointing. Not even cooked properly and a lot of dough on one side of the nan. The lamb mirchi was tasteless and and lacked meat.It is shame really because last week the meal was really good.

Mango tree is good food but the last time we Ordered from here we waited over 3 hours for our food, after 27 attempts at calling them, speaking to them twice to be told it had left the building both times, it finally arrived with some of it missing. It was busy and raining so put more drivers on then! Tonight we are giving them another chance, food was due at 6.15 its now 7pm and guess wot 🤔 its not arrived!! Surprise surprise..dont think i will be going there again.. Absolutely rubbish service!

Ordered from here with my girlfriend and mother in law. We knew it would be busy so we ordered at 17:00 for 19:30 and it arrived just shortly after the asked time. I ordered the garlic balti masala and it was fantastic. Never seen it on a menu before so I took a risk and it was amazing. The rice and naan where great too. The poppadoms weren’t the freshest and the the mango chutney was a bit vinegary but that was the only fault and didn’t let the meal down as a whole. I’ll definitely order from here again, one of the best indians I’ve had

Terrible service. Just east said it would be 40-50 minutes. I waited 2 hours. Couldn't get through on the phone and then when the driver turned up he wouldn't give me my order because he had to speak to his boss first. I ended up with no food. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM!!!

I had what turned out to be a very disturbing experience with the Mango Tree. My first time using and on recommendation. So, I ordered through their website, receiving a confirmation at 17:51 and that it would be 100 mins. I followed the progress and it was stuck on cooking for some time, at 20:17 I called and was told my order was being packed. At 20:25 I decided this was all a little unacceptable and called back to cancel. I was fed lots of excuses about geographical area (I live a 3-4 min drive away) and that they had had more orders before mine to fulfil. The call ended very unpleasant, I called them f-in useless and requested a refund and they agreed. This is when things took a turn for the worse. at 20:45, 20:46 and 20:47 I received 3 calls whilst someone was banging on my door and windows. This went on for 10 mins, the knocks getting more aggressive. I did not answer as I didn’t know what would happen. I blocked the caller (a text saying your food is outside Mango Tree and a tree emoji was sent too). They even tried my front door handle, this freaked me out. I had requested that the food be left on the step (as I paid online) not to mention I had cancelled. After 10 mins the person went away taking the food with them, only for someone to return 40 mins later, this time the knock was normal, I shouted out and they said they were leaving it on the step. I didn't have it in me to discuss it was cancelled. I live on my own and this experience left me quite anxious. I will never use them again and as I was on a video call with friends who could hear the ferocious banging on my windows and door, they too are boycotting this takeaway. Apologies this is nothing to do with the food, but I want to ensure that nobody else goes through such a terrible customer experience. The food as you can imagine was cold!

Ordered for the first time after reading such good reviews. I was so pleased with this curry. We ordered signature dish Garlic chicken, Rice, and meat samosa.What struck me about this takeaway compared with others is how little oil there was, as some can be over the top with oil. This was so tasty, and the meat somosa were the best I have had in ages. The service was quick and everything was nice and hot. I will definitely be using Mango Tree again.

When you really need a curry and any will do, I popped in here for the first time. It won't be the last. Without a shadow of a doubt the best curry I have ever had. I'll be there again. Forget the rest, THIS IS THE BEST.

I can honestly say I've never been disappointed with the Mango Tree.. Too many established food outlets can be Hit or Miss leading to disappointment and a waste of hard earned pennies.. Again last nights takeaway was so freshly cooked and delicious. The Lamb Sagwala was so tender, the mushroom rice and breads triple Yummy.. Keep it up Mango Tree best in Preston by far..

With so many curry houses being so hit and miss in the area, we stumbled on Mango Tree a while ago. Consistency great food, always tasting fresh and has maintained the high levels for a long time now. Always our go to curry house.

Ordered a meal Thursday was delicious so ordered again tonight food got delivered bang on time but some idiot who lives in flats where I live took my food . Mango tree rang me as I had been on phone asking where driver was it was delivered again within 10 mins Thanks so much 5 stars ✨ and more !! Oh and only to add to the night guy who took my food. Came to door for his own delivery couldn’t make it up Food given back but thanks again food was amazing Once again !!

Have had Indian food from everywhere, however this is a healthier option with no compromise to taste with traditional flavours and a brilliant service from staff. Place is always clean, which sets a great example for any Curry House.
