Always been to this place last time was a let down but tonights was awfull everything full of grease time to go elsewhere

Absolutely awful, curry was swimming with Grease, never again

Food is amazing but the delivery times are awful, the food was marked as delivered 15 minutes before it actually arrived.

I usually love Mango Tree and the food. Unfortunately the latest order has put a real downer on the place. I ordered for friends to collect because I know how dismal their delivery service is. After waiting the 40mins indicated I went down only to wait another 30 min. At home I discover one meal missing. Of course this had to be the only vegetarian option, so we couldn’t even split out what we did have. One phone call to the restaurant promised to have it waiting by the time I travelled back, and true to their word it was waiting. Arriving back home the missing meal was tucked into, only to find that half way through the recipient exclaimed, this is chicken!!! Yup, she was right, they had definitely given us the chicken version instead which I had just served to a strict vegetarian of over 35 years. To say she was unimpressed is an understatement. The rest of her meal was either covered in enough chilli to strip paint, or bland and tasteless. I ended up cooking her a frozen pizza while the rest of us tucked into what was, I have to say, lovely food otherwise, but over 2 hrs after we ordered. I know it was rammed busy, and you were rushed off your feet, but to muck it up not once but twice and change a veg option to meat was unforgivable.

well pleased with my order. I asked if they could substitute the chips for salad for dietary needs which they did.

It was delivered after 3 hours and poor kids suffered

Can’t comment on quality as order still hasn’t arrived after 4 hours of ordering. Simple small order that I order regularly. The restaurant isn’t a dine in so they only have takeaway service. Rang them 9 times but they have taken the phone off the line so nobody to contact.

Excellent food and fantastic staff

One hour late is a bit much, I always say no coriander, always in meal. If they can't deliver on time they should inform the customer.

We ordered around 7:30 and it finally arrived at 10pm. We order regularly as the food is always lovely so we allowed for the longer than expected delivery time but then it was still almost 30 minutes late. Some food wasn't up to usual standards.

The order was made at 7:10pm was late and my partner called to see what was going on with the order. The member of staff she spoke to was rude and left her waiting whilst other members of staff were shouting at each other in the back ground. This was at 8:50pm, we were told the order was already on its way. We waited a further 20 minutes and the order had still not arrived. My partner called a second time and was spoken to very rudely again. Waiting for 2+ hrs for an average and luke warm meal!

3 hours late and the food was cold. Very poor and would appreciate a full refund.

Top quality food delivered early. Highly recommended

I rang them after 2 hours and eta was 1.30 to 1.50 was ok with the wait but after 2 hours said it was delivered. I rang them and asked where it was to which they said at first he just arriving and then said he will be on his on his way next. Still !!

Great food / tasty and hot when it arrived

We have used Mango Tree for 5 years with no complaints. However our order today turned up 1 hour before the requested delivery time. Also the onion bhajis were so greasy that I actually threw them away. I will be wary about ordering from here again.

I asked for no coriander, it was in both items, I ordered 2 parathas, they are supposed to be light and flaky, they are very hard, and dripping in oil looking like deep fried chapatis.

Food took 2hrs 15 minutes to come and arrived Luke warm

Order 5.14pm received 7.37pm the curry and rice were cold never had a problem with mango tree but we alway collect and will stick to that in future

Recently moved away from Preston so wanted to write a review for easily the best Indian takeaway in the town! Never disappointed with the food and always a nice hot meal when it arrives. I found that when looking on Just Eat, if Mango Tree was not taking orders, I’d just get something else (not Indian), they’re THAT good.

Chips were extremely greasy and soggy, and the chicken shaslik was cold and had one piece of green pepper, the rest was just onion and cold chicken. Used to order from here often but will be going somewhere else next time we want an indian takeaway.

Moved to Preston about a year ago and in that year i must of tried about 5 Indian takeaways by far this one stands out then the rest , the lamb & chicken tikka pathia is 10/10 best in Preston by far

Excellent food not your usual “chuck some chillis in it!” rubbish. Really great tikka meat properly cooked and super naan !

Really disappointed, order mango tree a lot & this is the second time the food has taken forever to come :( 1 hour late , I ordered at 6 and asked for a delivery time of 8 (2 hours notice) and the food didn’t arrive until 9.

Due to circumstances beyond their control the order was late by approx. 30 minutes and unfortunately mostly incorrect. Received another persons order for half of it. Fully understand staffing issues and Radio 2 being on Moor Park having an impact. Staff was understanding and non confrontational when called to explain. Otherwise stellar service from then when previously ordered from them

I have only lived in Preston for the last year and it's been hard to find a decent Curry house. I've literally been through every single one in Preston until I come across mango tree, food excellent and delivery on time , lamb tikka Pathia is very very good definitely recommend it , trist me been to some bad ones over the last 10 months or so Mango tree best around Preston ,🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

When I order food there is a time line and 20 mins late from the end time is not acceptable. My opinion is as a self employed person is you have to deliver when u say , we only had a small amount of time to eat before we had to go to a gig ,

The best Indian takeaway in Preston by a long way. I've never had any complaints in the years I've been using it. It is always a weekend treat and knowing how busy it is I go myself (I would never get a delivery) never more than a 25 minute wait so a beer at the Tap End while waiting 👍

I’ve lived in Preston for 5 years and only ever used Mango Tree for Indian takeaway. I’ve never had a bad meal. Today I cheated on them and tried another well reviewed local Indian and it was the biggest regret of my life. It proved Mango Tree is just great. Tasty, well cooked, wonderful food. I am so disappointed in my decisions today and will never cheat on Mango Tree ever again. Their delivery can take quite a while but it’s worth it when it arrives! Mango Tree for life

Chicken Tikka good, butter massala sauce good, egg rice not much flavour, bottle of Pepsi missing.

Avoid!!! Ordered at 6.30 arrived at 9 no apology nothing rung them to see were was and just got it’s on its way shocking customer service! Food was cold chips went cooked they was hard and dry not worth the prices they charge or the service!

love mango tree always get our curries from here but this time was very disappointing we ordered a lamb buttery Massala when we took the lid off it had a layer of oil over the top it was like a bottle of oil was dropped in the sauce. lamb was perfect but it was ruined with the oil and couldn't eat it all. very disappointed

Waiting over 2 hours for delivery for the food to be freezing, we rang to find out where is was he didn't know about our order to start with took him a while wasn't helpful!

Chips - cold and stale - popadoms wet and floppy- cheese naan couldn’t taste any cheese - very disappointed

Food was good as always except there was an issue with one of the curries (chicken instead of lamb) and no answer when I tried to call to query as chicken is a cheaper dish. Otherwise, the food was great.

3 hours wait for the food! Ordered food from this takeaway a few days ago, had to wait 3 hours for the food. A very bad experience so never ordering from them again. 1hr 30 min food still not delivered so, called the shop to find out the delivery time, i was told the driver already left. 2 hrs been still no food so called the takeaway again, and they said the food is getting prepared. I asked, why they lied before, the guy become very rude and said they have been very busy so i have to understand and wait. He said another 15 min. They made me wait another 1 hour, so waited 3 hours for the food. Food was just okay, all the curries tasted similar. Based on my experience i would not recommend anyone to order from this shop. Only order if you are not hungry and want food in 3 to 4 hrs time. Order today again over £70. Waited 2 hours. Food quality below average. Never again! I was hoping the delivery time to be improved but not improved at all. Food quality even worse. Avoid at all cost!!

Been using Mango Tree for a couple of years now. Food has always been excellent and delivery prompt.

Overall, the food was pretty good and tasty to be fair. I just wish they didn’t use red food colouring in literally every single curry. We waited 3 hours for our delivery which was not good at all. I’ll probably try different curry houses next time.

I love everything about the Mango Tree...I remember when they first opened and how passionate the staff were ...they have managed to keep the same principles..But you might have to wait an hour for delivery..but don't complain ..its busy for a reason!!!!!

2 hours and 45 minutes waiting for the food to arrive, called at the 2 hour point and man kept saying its on the way..for 45 minutes my food has been travelling around Preston apparently, would make sense as it arrived stone cold. Won't be ordering again

Excellent, friendly service and the food was fabulous. We called in to order and pick up food as it was New Years Eve

I placed my order at 17.55 at 20.15 it had not arrived. I had to collect my order from the shop as i was not prepared to wait any longer. There was an issue with driver availability. I've paid for delivery which needs reimbursing.

3 hours late and food stone cold

The lamb in the byriani was dry and so was the chicken tikka. It took 2 hours and cost 30 quid. The only saving grace was the 2 naan breads which were lovely

Disappointed takeaway tonight from Mango Tree, Preston. The mixed Pasanda was bland, tasteless, very gloopy and had 2 mini shrimps classed as prawns. It wasn’t even the right colour!!! I respectfully requested a refund due to being unsatisfied with the meal but was rudely told it’s a mild dish and and no refund offered !!! There’s mild and tasteless, sadly mine was the later.

Waiting for food to be delivered

Updated my previous 5* review because for the past 3 orders which I've collected, have been missing main dishes. First Time, I telephoned and had to go back out to collect. The second time, the stand-in manager, tried to charge me again for a replacement, so I had to travel back again. Third time again this evening, we were promised next time we went in, we would be looked after, but it was the contrary- they'd missed a main meal again!!! This is annoying because rice and naan breads are getting cold and the rest of the family are all eating. I'd recommend you thoroughly check your orders before leaving the restaurant. This is three times too many!

First of all, credit it where it's due, Ive used Mango Tree maybe 10 times to date for my Indian takeways (3 times in the last few months) and food is very very good; and that is obviously the most important thing. So absolutely no complaints in that respect! HOWEVER their service handling tonight was abysmal. I ordered my delivery online and was given an "expected" delivery time of 8.45pm which was ideal. Since the order goes via a 3rd party payment merchant I always like to call just to make sure its all gone through okay which I did shortly after, and was surprised to hear it was "on its way".....nearly 1-hour earlier than it said online but no problem for me, I left friends and family and went home. 25 mins later....no food arrival, and when calling told was told "yes on its left as is on it's way". (surely imminent?). 20mins later had to call again and was apologetically told it's only "3-4mins away". Told them I wasnt happy and I hope it's not cold, I dont mind if its late but please dont lie to me. They reaffirmed it was "3-4mins away and dont worry the food is in special boxes to keep hot" Another 20mins after that it arrived!!! And the curry was indeed cold so I had to put in microwave. Look, I genuinely do not care if food is going to be late, I totally appreciate its a busy time of year and things inevitably go wrong. But lying to customers is just unacceptable. I run my own business and being brave and owning up to errors is integral to customer service Really pissed off as a result. I curtailed my time with family and friends when it was meant to be an hour early, then had to chase my order 3 times after lies, and then had to warm it all up when it arrived. Even if it means slightly worse food elsewhere, today is my last order with Mango Tree. Got to have your principles.
