Silhouette in Norwich

We booked on Sep 5th. We recieved a phone call the same day telling us the ovens were not working. Was disapointed as it was for a birthday treat. Decided to give them another chance. Booked tonight Thurs 20th Oct we all went along and it was Closed.!! I had recieved no phone calls no messages to inform me. Its usually open on a Thurs? Thats twice we have been let down by this restaurant. Terrible customer service

OMG, this place is abysmal, poor lighting, disgusting toilets and rude staff, zero atmosphere! Supposed to be open til midnight but when we tried to order a 2nd round of cocktails we were told the bar was closing and we had to leave! it was 10.20!! Avoid at all costs!

Quite disappointed this evening. Booking via instagram which isnt easy messages aren’t picked up for two days when they’re closed so no confirmation which causes anxiety. Booked for a table of 6 for my daughter’s birthday treat she picked the place and was very excited to have some boujee cocktails and food. Arrived at the restaurant at booking time to be advised the whole menu isn’t available and only pizza. Two members of the group doesn’t like pizza. A message prior to set time on arrival to inform us on the situation would have been real helpful so we could have booked another restaurant for birthday celebrations. Left us in panic to quickly find another restaurant that accommodates everyone’s preferences. My daughter felt upset arriving to then leave again communication on this circumstance could of saved a lot of disappointment

Excellent value meal for two (calamari, pizza and chicken with roast potatoes ). The food was fresh and tasted very good. Service was prompt and friendly. The only minor issue was that the music was slightly loud for me, but we will be back.

Drinks are fine but I never ate such a bad quality food…

Would not go back. Waiters were very rude. It was my hen do which was not even acknowledged even thoughwe were dressed up not even a congratulations or anything said. In fact they bought out a cocktail tree we ordered with 'happy birthday' written on when it clearly wasn't my birthday it was my hen do. They couldnt be bothered to rub out the chalk from when it was used as a birthday one. It was also promptly taken away to be given to the next person half way through our drinks. One member of our party didn't turn up and we were told we still had to pay for their food. They then added a service charge on top of this! We booked a table and they made it very clear we only had an hour and a half and then had to leave even though the restaurant wasn't busy. They could see us trying to take photos etc for my hen do and no one offered to help or even cracked a smile. Very pretty inside and food and drinks are nice enough but customer service is absolutely shocking. Won't be returning. **shocking customer service can be seen as evident by the reply from management. If you would like to have a nice time or for a waiter to smile at you they recommend you hire someone to do that! **

We ate at Silhouette in Norwich today. Lovely 2 course menu with 1/2 litre of very nice red wine for under £13 a head - we will be back!

My hen do was last night in silhouette, there were 18 of us booked. Unfortunately 2 couldn't turn up due to ill health on the day, my meal wasn't ordered due to the whole day planned being a surprise. The waiter who was appointed to the table, was very rude. I was persuaded to just take one of the pre ordered dinners for myself, with barely even time to glance at the menu I felt as though my mind was made for me by the waiter who was very pushy to do this. We got a round of drinks in, mostly cocktails, all cocktails were lovely, amazing. Food not brilliant but we were a large group and I understand how that works in the kitchen. The young waiter was timelessly rude to us, not once did he smile, he wasn't inviting. We were told 6.30pm YOU MUST be off the table, with no invite to stay and have anymore drinks at the bar etc. Having worked in catering for many years, I felt his whole presence was slowly wearing everyone down, on a day which was meant to be a laugh, fun, jokey day. The vibe was made by him, so with that we literally had our pre ordered meal, one drink and left shortly after. Had he had even just done the basics, we would have no doubt had more to drink. We took our business and money elsewhere due to him and his rude comments and back chat kind of attitude towards us as a table. Now Unfortunately, the venue itself is picturesque and will be enticing to hen parties due to this, we were expecting far more!! But even just basic mannerisms wouldn't have gone a miss. We had a £51 tip added onto the bill at the end, this was asked by all of us to take off. There would be no way any of us would have wanted to have paid that towards the service that was provided. I haven't ever walked out of somewhere not tipping and certainly not a table of that size, however in your restaurant I did due to the waiter we got. Added my review on here- as no reply back to my emails. I wouldn't even rate a 1 star at this rate.

Came here for lunch. It was very dark, which I know is how they want it, but unfortunately, it was too dark for me and also meant that I was unable to read the menu. Staff were nice enough, although they were not very helpful in amending food choices slightly. Overall I was quite disappointed 😞. Would I come here again? Probably not

Came last night for a hen party meal 17 of us dining. We had pre ordered all except the hen’s meals as it was a surprise as to where she was going. She didn’t even get offered a choice of food and was asked if she wanted the meal of somebody who had unfortunately had to give it a miss. Food was average for the price and not overly hot. Service we received from the waiter was appalling. Not once did he crack a smile and was very sharp and abrupt to everybody in our party. To then try and add a £51 service charge for the most shocking service we’d all ever received was the tip of the iceberg. The decoration etc in the restaurant is lovely however staff a lot to be desired. Truly gutted after what should have been a lovely experience wasn’t so great after all.

Wow!!!what a place to eat!!!couldnt fault this place at all!!!from the minute arriving made us feel extremely welcome and like a person and not just a customer!!!didnt like our table and mentioned it to PEDRO!!!!and moved straight away!!!!and as for PEDRO!!!!what a guy!!!best waiter/server you could ever ask for!!blokes a legend!!!some it up if I could give them more stars I would!!!o and food most importantly was absolutely delicious!!!!can’t wait to return again!!!thank you all!!!!❤️

Went here for a hen party and it was a big group. Food was great with good portion sizes! The drinks were really cool and as a big group we saw a variety of the different types in their menu. Great for a girly day out, would like to try their bottomless brunch next. *Glasses in photo aren’t included from restaurant 😂

Beautiful venue, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Booking a table was easily achieved via social media. We had steak and pizzas for food, which was well presented and tasted good. Traditional table serve. The cocktail were stylish and different, making the whole experience worth while. I'd highly recommend for a treat out, girls night or celebrations meal.

Wonderful food, ample portions with high quality ingredients. The Wednesday/Thursday offer of 2 courses plus half litre of wine is an excellent opportunity to sample the fayre. My reservation was a surly English waiter and really inappropriate techno disco 'background' music! Smoochy, jazz classics or indeed an Italian sound track would be my preference.

Had my anniversary meal here and it was amazing! Cocktails and food were above and beyond and by far the best cocktails in Norwich! Highly recommend

Been wanting to go here for ages and popped in for a cocktail late on Saturday night. Beautiful decor and the play list was fab. Loved it and can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing menu, our cocktails were amazing so guessing it will be great when we do if they were anything to go by!

Could not fault this place, the interior was beautiful and the cocktails were something else. Had such a wonderful 20th birthday here. So many options to choose from for both drinks and food. Even caters for gluten free which was perfect for one of my friends. The staff were on point with the service and also were very friendly . Would recommend 100x 💖

Never have a dull moment when it’s cocktail hour. It’s a go to for Me and the girls for the perfect catch up, atmosphere is always so welcoming. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Absolutely amazing place. I came here for a meal with a few girls for my birthday meal a long with my son as he breastfeeds and I never felt so comfortable to be able to feed my son and not be looked at in a funny way. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, the food couldn’t have been tastier and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. Will definitely be going back🤍

Great place for cocktails with the girls! Although I’ve also been with my boyfriend, 11 year old nephew & my parents & they all loved it! Instagram worthy drinks, food & decor and reasonably priced too! The food is delicious and presented so well. I stop by every time I’m in the city.

A really fun place to meet friends. Great food and friendly service. A really safe environment for a night out. Also, the cocktails!! Love the selfie one but the Ocean Spritz is my favourite. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the food, it was much better than anticipated and also value for money. The service was good and attentive, however when there were errors these were not taken off the bill. The service charge is too steep but it is good service and you can choose not to pay it easily enough. Drinks menu is extensive and lots of fun cocktails to choose from. The atmosphere was slightly lacking on the times I’ve visited purely down to the fact it was very quiet. Great decor and presentation . Have also taken children and teenagers, all made to feel very welcome and meals were well priced and proportioned Look forward to returning.

Went with some friends in Jan and it was lovely, cocktails is mainly what we went for and honestly they were incredible, although on the pricier side and London prices. Food was nice, had the chicken burger but if go back again would probably have a pasta dish.

Went for my daughters 18th , the decorations were really beautiful for valentines day 😍 The cocktails were so colourful and fun , really special night out. The food was incredible, lasagne was really filling, went back the following week in the day just for a cocktail!!! Highly recommend , will definitely be returning x

Had a great visit here for drinks with some friends, we loved the variety of the cocktails and the drink I ordered came a with a picture that was taken of me & my friend on a camera. Very cool! All the effort to detail made the experience very fun & I am looking forward to coming again, hopefully to try the food next time!

We loved Silhouette when we came for my daughters birthday in September last year. We are not local but myself and my friend are coming back to Norwich in June so will be heading here for lunch. The food, cocktails and shakes are amazing, the staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a great atmosphere! I even purchased two of the pictures that I saw upstairs and fell in love with! We went for a baby shower during the day and they were short staffed but you wouldn’t have known everyone had the best time and everything was perfect from food to cocktails and mocktails and staff were happy and helpful

Fantastic bottomless brunch with Baby-lixous. Great food, gorgeous cocktails & fab entertainment. The atmosphere was also really good, lots of banter from the waitress we had, which was great. Would recommend & look forward to another visit soon 😀

Went for a hen party in February this year, omg I can't believe how beautiful inside was, amazing staff with their friendly assistant, caring for the customers, always there if anyone wants order more drinks etc. Absolutely loved the place! Worth to go for! Drinks beautifully made along with little handbags and many other bits added!

Great 40th birthday meal. All 11 of us had great cocktails and food. Good portions of food and the best sweet potato fries I've ever had! Would visit again.

Went last Saturday group of 8 for my sisters birthday. Absolutely beautiful place. The service was fantastic, the food was incredible, the birthday drink stand was so pretty. And I've got to say the music playing was a vibe. Loved it will be back.

Absolutely lovely place. Sadly, the cocktails were all far too sweet. Even the mojito. They tasted good, but 1 was more than enough. The staff were all very nice and eager to help.

First time visiting last night with my partner, super excited to be that as we've heard good things. We arrived early and seated straight away. When ordering I requested if my starter could come out with my main, no different to a side, our lovely service said he would ask chef - they have an open kitchen here and we sat right near it so we saw the conversation - the chef was not happy with my request by the looks of it and started having a hissy fit - I have worked in a fast pace kitchen for 5yrs and if this happened in my place of work I would find that an embarrassment especially with an open kitchen and the person in question would be spoken to about their actions. I felt so bad for our server for being treated like that by the chef. Throughout the night the chef's would constantly ringing the bell for service which is normal in this establishment however is was an excessive amount of times, it was fairly busy which only 3-4 servers who were trying their hardest to collect food asap but it was clear that they were busy with customers, there was no need to be excessive with the bell. We also witnessed the chef's mocking the servers when they were out of the way which I think is extremely unprofessional! I cannot fault the food or the drinks they were definitely a 5/5 as well as our experience with our servers. It's a shame the little fit the chef had about my request ruined our night, I felt that it was uncalled for. I understand it can be a stressful role but like I mentioned before, it is no different to a side order or if we were a table of 3.

Would of been a 5 out of 5 if it wasn’t for the chef who was very rude. My girlfriend asked for her starter ( garlic bread) to come out with her main which isn’t a huge ask. The poor server ( who was lovely ) looked scared to ask him. He went over and asked and the chef starting throwing a hissy fit, hands flying in air and being very rude to the polite server. I wanted to walk out as soon as I saw this but my girlfriend insisted we stay. Throughout our stay on many occasions the chef would be ringing the bell to a stupid degree and his face shown how angry he was I also heard him constantly swear and mock the waiters who were very busy and was constantly throwing a hissy fit and having a go at the servers. The food was amazing and the service from the waiters was outstanding it is just a shame the chef let it down. I get being a chef is stressful but when you are making your guests feel uncomfortable there is no excuse for it. I would give the service a 0 due to the chef but I do not want it to reflect badly on the waiting staff.

Food was lovely but the rudeness of a couple of staff was very upsetting. After questioning that we had been charged £4.50 for a pint of coke but it wasn’t a pint! I had questioned it to the waitress and had agreed to pay but a chap came running out of the kitchen and was more than happy to shout in my husbands face. I have never ever known a restaurant staff member to react in such a way. I will never return to this place!

WARNING WARNING WARNING So… we ended up in silhouette for food. Ordered a large coke. Comes in a half pint glass. On the bill it states pint. £4.50. We question it. Girl apparently goes of crying. Bar lady behind the bar shouts across the restaurant at us trying to force a pint of water into the half pint coke glass. Next thing her fella comes out the back shouting and squaring up to our husbands . Full on argument. Nearly fists. Will not be going back there.

Very Instagramable!! We booked in advance for this afternoon, for a 30th birthday. We were sat next to the neon sign. A round circle table for 4. Place was clean and beautifully decorated. Cocktails were reasonable and lots of variety. Amazing Cocktails! It's a must to get here. Food was delicious ioous burger for £14 and then had to purchase chips on top for another £5! Bit expensive. Food was delicious though.

Had the best time at silhouette. Me and my friend went for the 2 course meal deal. As you can see by the pictures, the portion sizes were so good. The service we received was also amazing. We had the best time and are already planning our next visit.. the decor is just so lovely. I could have stayed for hours.

Absolutely amazing place! Cocktails are to die for they're so fun and inventive. The place is gorgeous everywhere you look. Everyone is so nice and welcoming even when I've booked, not only that the staff even helped my partner on how he was going to propose to me. After he proposed to me he told me he had a little trouble. He was very grateful. Definitely recommend Silhouettes!!! ❤️

I attended the previous restaurant they ran in Brandon and the food/drinks were always lovely. Due to this when they moved to Norwich I had to go. As normal the food was lovely, the cocktails were more detailed and delicious and the decor of the restaurant was beautiful. Was slightly expensive but worth it, i’d definitely would return again!!
