Siesta Coffee in County Durham

Visit with family, nice cake and coffee, dog friendly thought we had a nice time, until hit with a parking fine. Website states free parking, parkingeye says give me £100 for 40min stay. Feel scammed, no parking meters, no visible signs, no information in store or from staff about parking costs. Owners clearly making a quick buck.

Went for a cuppa and sani, ended up with a £60 fine for using customer car park.never been before and nobody mentioned anything about entering my reg into anything...wouldn’t recommend using it

Been to Peterlee Siesta Coffee many times as it's handy, then suddenly the carpark is a paying one. Didn't look for signs (why would you) and no-one mentioned the car park when I ordered. Got myself a parking fine so went back and the rude manager (I presume manager) was totally unsympathetic. I appealed to Parking Eye (thieves) saying I had lunch but this was rejected, as though I was lying. Never going back.

Shop had 6 customers ordered coffee waited ages went to counter told he shouted and no one answered. Music really load. Coffee came in paper cups and was told there was no proper cups. This isn't the first time, 1, visit ,no spoons 2nd time no sugar Now 3, no cups. To me these items are key to run a coffee shop. And to top it all off a member of staff sat on phone and tables needed cleaning. Our table had cup etc. Sill on table when we left. Would not recommend till they have proper cups cutlery and sugar.

Efficient in every way Annaleighise is a very pleasant polite assistant. Always professional at her work. Appearance immaculate.

Terrible customer service from start to finish unfortunately. I was looking forward to a long awaited catch up with family, only to be treated with negativity and rude comments during our time there. I 'definitely ordered tea' when I dont drink tea, spilled coffee and didn't offer to replace or clean it up and then got back up from a colleague on shift and persisted to blame me instead of taking accountability of a miscommunication/simple mistake that could have so easily been rectified in a diplomatic manner. The tone of the team was hurrendous. Worst customer service we've ever experienced. We won't be returning.

Lovely coffee, adequate selection of sandwiches, lots of sweets treats and comfortable surroundings. Really friendly greeting and helpful staff, just what we needed in the middle of a cycle ride. There's enough parking if in a car but I think you need to register car inside shop to avoid parking fine 🤔.

I asked for milk based coconut smoothie, I was given fruit based, when I questioned it I could hear them flagging me off behind the counter from the drive through window saying that just because I don't like the colour doesn't mean I can change it and that I must have what I'm given. First of all, the young girl who served me was nice. Second of all, what if I was allergic and you are forcing it of me. Third, I do not appreciate listening to people slag me off. They do not know who I am. I listen to people flagging me off everyday at work. I do not expect it when I go buy a drink of my day off

Called here on the spur of the moment for a take out lunch. Good parking facilities. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Was advised about their lunch deals. Got a panini and coffee, reasonably priced and even brought to me at my table. Food was hot as was the large coffee. Will be my go to place when I'm in the area.

We usually get good coffee here but last visit was terrible. Gingerbread lattee was nothing like the picture and apparently shop had ran out of cream which they told my friend not me after I had sat down so consequently it arrived as a disappointing oversweetened mess. My cheese scone was either stale or overdone in the microwave it was inedible. My friend's stollen whirl/slice was also stale and she had to keep repeating when she ordered she wanted the stollen not cinnamon whirl. Staff need to be trained, we definitely won't be going back.

I went because I had just gotten out of work, and I thought a nice coffee break would help. Really enjoyed my time, thought that it could be a bit cleaner though.

I was getting my car repaired at a garage on the estate, so I decided to go here and work. Took advantage of meal deal of sandwich and cup of coffee, both competitively priced and good quality. Had another coffee and spent a couple of relaxed hours using the free WiFi. Will definitely use it again should the need arise.

I popped in here for lunch with my daughter as we were at an appointment on the industrial estate. It serves the usual panini, cake and coffee which you would expect in this sort of coffee shop. The staff were friendly and there is free parking outside. The food was somewhat bland though and while fairly clean the floor could have done with a sweep. Overall average.

We pop to Siesta for coffee and cake yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised by quality of products and customer service there. Plenty of comfortable seats to choose from and very helpful and smiling ladies behind the counter made this visit very enjoyable. We will definitely come back.

Friendly staff. Delicious coffee to sit in take out or drive through. Great range of snacks and cakes etc. Really nice decor and atmosphere inside. Pleanty of parking. Seating available outside. Well worth a visit
