Amanda made our 3 tier cake for our wedding at Runa Farm recently. From the brief to the final result, couldn’t have been more chuffed! Also compared to other suppliers we’d seen, massive value for money! It was beautiful. Thank you!!

Amanda created a fantastic cake for my partner's Mam's 75th birthday on the theme of The Secret Garden. Everyone who saw it was blown away by how good it was. The care and attention to detail was incredible and Amanda herself is a lovely person, friendly and works with you to make your design a reality. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her cakes are a work of art and absolutely delicious too. I would give more stars if I could.

I have had many cakes from Amanda for my children’s birthday. They are always stunning and creative she comes up with ideas based on a theme for example my little one wanted a “hulk-ghostbuster” cake executed seamlessly and you have never seen anyone so thrilled. We have had the painting biscuits too which were a hit and delicious! It’s the highlight of my children’s birthdays they are planning their next one already….watch out Amanda! Thanks again for a lovely reliable service that never fails to bring smiles to a birthday party!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I emailed Amanda asking what kind of birthday cake I could get for my Mam within my budget, and she went above and beyond to create something beautiful and personal with what little ideas I had. The care and patience that went into decorating and planning the cake is unbelievable! I couldn’t have possibly imagined anything better than what I got- it exceeded my expectations exponentially. Her communication is stellar, and I have nothing but praise. This has truly been a wonderful experience and I’m forever thankful for Amanda making my Mam’s day so special. Also, the baking itself is incredible! Nobody in my house can recall a time we’ve had a tastier cake. Thank you! xxx

Amanda made us an amazing wedding cake and beautiful biscuit favours. The design of the cake was beautiful and it tasted delightful. Everyone commented how unique and special the wedding cake was. The favours were so pretty and had our names and date iced on - some people have kept them as memories as they were too beautiful to eat! Amanda really did go above and beyond for us on our wedding day and we can't thank her enough!!

Amanda has a very unique talent at creating the best cakes I have ever seen or tasted. She will follow a specific design or create something amazing with her own imagination based on a small idea you have. Attention to detail is amazing, her talent is on another level. From our 1st experience she has been creating beautiful cakes for my children for a number of years now...a genuinely lovely lady and her business is a little hidden gem ❤️

Now called the Charcoa Carvery since its refurb recently and I was impressed with the new decor which was luxurious and classy. The staff were pleasant and eager to assist and for all it was Sunday lunchtime there was no queu to get served and plenty of choice re seating arrangements for all we had not booked. I chose the turkey which was perfect and my family all had beef which they enjoyed. There was a good selection of vegetables (even salad if we had wanted it) but I did find it difficult to access the veges as there is nowhere to put your plate down and you need one hand to open the lid and another to serve the veges. Also the containers at the back of the vegetable servery were very inaccessible - this must have been designed by a very tall person with no regard for shorter customers and anyone with a disability or only able to use one hand would have been at a severe disadvantage. Also we never discovered the sauces until we returned to select our dessert as the sauces are set aside from the actual carvery and vegetable area. In the past you paid at the end and it was all the same price. Now you buy a ticket at the beginning but the meals are more expensive than the carvery selection so how do you know what you actually want until you are at the servery and by then its too late - you have either paid for carvery or paid for a meal so that is a strange set up I found. BUT getting back to the food and that was good, plentiful and hot. It is described as the 'ultimate carvery' and I think that is rather optimistic - its tasty and the ambience is lovely but a few practical tweaks in my opinion are needed. at the vegetable servery and make customers aware that the sauces are available. I enjoyed my trio of mini desserts and the assistant brought the hot drinks to the table when she had made them. A pleasant afternoon while the piano man played in the background.

Ordered two 'Croque Monsieur' and what arrived was two ham and cheese toasties lathered in poor quality English mustard? Why English Mustard? With stale crisps and wilted lettuce. Very poor and given the price quite surprising, especially given that there are numerous much nicer cafés in the city. Staff rather surly as well.

Toppings should go on top of the cheese not under it. tomato sauce was hardly detectable, base stodgy and spongy. the base was like a cake despite being billed as thin and crusty. if you don't know how to make a pizza, which really isn't difficult, then you shouldn't call yourself a pizzeria
