I cancelled my order 4 minutes after ordering as the delivery time was about an hour and have been charged 100% cancellation fee because they said they started preparing the food joke I will be going into there soon

Paid £11 for a cod and chips and recived next to no chips there wasn’t even enough to cover half the bottom of the box never again will I buy for this place

We didn’t receive the food yet but it is said you delivered the food it was supposed to come at 7 pm but we waited nothing came

Absolutely disgusting, chips wasn't cooked properly, the salad was gone off, the mushy Peas was gone off, the Mars Bars was battered when I asked for them not to be, they also smelt very fishy as well. The burger was awful. Don't bother of buying stuff from here if you want awful food.

Ordered Extra large fish and chips and got enough chips to feed a small child definitely not Extra large, won't be back again very disappointed

Very disappointed, the chips wasn't even cooked properly, the salad looked like it has been in a tub for so many days. I ordered two normal mars bars to only receive them battered. The burger request of no salad was added to the burger. The mushy Peas was gone off. I will not be ordering from here again.

By far the absolute worst fish chips I have ever had. I practically never leave reviews, but I am shocked. I don't know what they did to the batter, but it had a disgusting taste to it and was greasy. I ordered a medium cod and chips, along with a battered Mars bar to be delivered. The smell permeated the room it was in and the batter both left a bad aftertaste that didn't want to go away and also affected the taste of the rest of the food. I had one bite of the battered Mars bar, something I usually enjoy despite it being a little weird for some, and threw it out. I tried eating the fish without the batter and, trying to ignore the taste left by the batter, the fish was a bit dry, chewy and cheap tasting. The chips were a bit below average, the kind that if that's all this order were, I would eat but wouldn't choose to order. I'd pick somewhere else. Even despite the £13.40 I spent total, there were hardly any chips. Even the garlic mayo wasn't good. I was told the sausages are no better either. And, to make matters worse, I feel ill after eating what I did. I absolutely do not recommend this. Even if this was a bad day, I imagine a good day would still be below average.

Absolutely superb cheesy chips but shockingly small portions. I ordered a king size and it was what other places would call a medium. Sort it out lads 😂.

portions are not what you order more than one time i order a xl donor and chips to find the meat barly fills a cup even if the food taste ok this is not worth paying for xl when i feel its more like a small

Unfortunately the original time changed but wasn’t to bad. Was a lovely surprise the size of the cod’s that arrived. Abit disappointed on the King Size chips, was expecting abit more then what we got. And unfortunately the curry sauce we added had opened. A lot had leaked out. But overall, we would order again. So thank you.

King size chips doesn’t feed 2 people .. very small amount .

4 items received and all 4 were incorrect. I ordered a doner kebab and doner meat and chips. I received no toner meat at all! I received some sort of salt burger, a portion of curry sauce and ordinary chips not cheesy chips. Please process a refund Thanks

Food was lovely, although the chips were a little crunchy for my liking.

Normally this place is decent but tonight ,all of the food was cold . And most of it has ended up in the bin . Hoping it’s a one off . As there normally very good . £33 wasted.

food turns up by bicycle after riding around the estate for 30 minutes then i say its cold he then says not my fault dont like it take it back myself

Cold chips wrong portion as ask for large and they forgot the cheese

The onion rings and garlic mushrooms were very greasy, so much so we couldn't eat them. Chicken fillets were nice but breaded, not battered as advertised. Kebab wrap was good, but wrap fell apart as soon as it was picked up. Would get chicken and kebab again, but not anything fried because of how greasy they were.

The delivery was delivered so late that I was not able to eat it as it was handed to me as I was leaving the house to catch the bus to the theatre. The gentleman who delivered it said it may be cold as he's been wandering around for a while not able to remember the house address as the app went down. I've had to leave it at home to warm up and wat later.

To make it clear the food is great! But this is the second time the delivery driver has forgotten my drink/given me the entirely wrong one. There’s usually confusion finding my house as it’s on a private lane but maybe putting drink in the bag with the food would mitigate this problem? Also not a fan of polystyrene being used to package some foods

Never had bad food from here, I ordered the battered burger to the first time as an extra to fish n chips, It arrived in a burger bun it should come just as a battered burger just like you'd get a battered sausage

Ordered food through deliveroo and they said they had no drivers but food would be with us shortly. After 3 hours of waiting the food still hasn't turned up and we haven't heard anything from anyone. Tried calling and it just rings for ages then hangs up. Unprofessional service and very disappointing. If you can't provide the food to the customer then you shouldn't keep them waiting. It can't be that hard to call up and explain the you won't be able to do the order. Will not be ordering from here again and dont advice anyone else does

So although my order says delivered it never arrive, St Sidwells Fish & Chips only advice is to contact Just Eat which it appears you can only do via email and they will get back to you in a few days. Doesn't help with my tea tonight, does it? Appalling customer service!

The food was awful undercooked chips and even pepper on them when didn’t ask for pepper as that extras and the pea fritter was a ball of mess nothing what I would of expected

Just eat are excellent...on this occasion the delivery driver did not have a clue of where cleveland court was...luckily he phoned me....he had gone in opp direction he needed to be.... when he eventually arrived.. didn't understand how to operate the entry so I cld let him in...a very pleasant chap, apologised but needs some training on areas...think very new to just eat..

My king size cheesy chips weigh less and look less than a small cheesy chips sausages all in same tub forgot my American mustard. Not impressed

Right ticket on the bag but totally wrong contents . Had meat instead of fish, and I'm a vegetarian...... this is not the fault of the delivery drive as it is the mask by the staff at the takeaway venue

One of the worst Fish and Chip shops in Exeter. The chips where white in colour, and a bit rubbery. The fish was good quality in size. With regards to taste, not good. As there was an aftertaste of oil with every bite. Which increase with every chew. I taste so bad, that I had to leave half of it and fed the dustbin instead. I had to put up with a packet of crisps from the kitchen cupboard. Not sure what the other meals are like. But if you want a decent fish and chips. Stay away, go elsewhere

Portions are tiny pay for a small fish and get a mini pay for extra large portion of chips and get a normal portion nearly £30 spent and kids are still hungry

Absolutely disgusting curry sauce, way too thick and the chicken burger was way to tough, it wasn’t crispy and fried.

Food was very good. Delivery was terrible again if I could give zero I would,time & time again just eat deliveries go to the wrong address & I have to go hunting for it! I even wrote the address in capitals as a delivery note & still they went to the wrong address🤬

All was good with the exception of the deliverer who did not follow my instruction to find the front door, Instead he rang me and I had to leave my flat and come and find him.

Chips undercooked, batter tastes very odd, one piece of fish was lovely while the other bit tasted distinctly off, not good when even the cat turns down white fish. Portion sizes so-so for the price, would be better if the entire serving was edible, not bothering with sidwell f&c again as I’m more disappointed with every visit.

It must depend on what day you go. Well today must have been a BAD DAY. Luke warm chips, a pie that was blasted in the microwave therefore the pastry was tough/rubbery. Sausage in batter skin hard-on one side, been under the heat lamps too long. Spent almost £20 and threw most of it away. Would not use again. Nor recommend. I try to be fair with my reviews and this is IMHO.

Chips tasted like they had been cooked and reheated, fish was mainly soggy undercooked batter.

King size chips wasn't big enough to feed my 5 and 7 year old daughters also cold when they arrived it was much less a small bag of chips on a tray undercooked and cold. I left a note for restaurant for what the girls would eat in salad but no notice was taken also missing a pot of sauce. It's a real shame as the prices are really good in comparison to most other chip shops. If they food matched the description it would had been perfect. King-size means kings size way to much for one two people. And they need cooking longer

Orderd from website over 30 pound they refused it saying I live too far away. I live close by and order from here before. Now they won't refund my money for 5 days. So I have to spend double as I'm at home with a broken leg and two kids. Lazy useless not what it once was

Nice takeaway chips, gorgeous kebab and lovely service. The men were really lovely and very friendly. Both my partner and I would revisit for a cheeky evening snack!
