Apparently use to be a good place. But appears to have gone down hill. Although we ate in staff don’t deliver food to the table and also your expected to clean table yourself The ice cream sundae was about as different as it could possibly be in the pictures couple of scoops in a plastic drinks glass with cheap whip cream. Better off just buying an ice cream

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Over priced small portions. Wouldn’t recommend this cafe. My 12 year old daughter needed the toilet but had to wait until we paid for our food before the code was given to her! Disgusting behaviour towards a child.

Stopped by on a recent visit for a cone. Was served by a young lad who clearly didn’t want to be there and didn’t speak even when I asked a question. Had the tiniest cone with the requested clotted cream which was about half a tea spoon. Shocking. Wouldn't return there.

We fancied an ice cream after some exhausting shopping in Minehead, so came here as it has such an attractive frontage and it was easy to park nearby. We were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream, and also admired the gorgeous view of North Hill from there.

My husband and I use this cafe whenever we can. Lovely breakfast and then we came for lunch. Fish and chips were fine and I had a jacket potato with beans and cheese. That was very nice too. Then Andy had banana longboat and I chose honeycomb split, gorgeous!! Did it with a couple of servants and we did know the woman, thank you

Should at the very least be round, not a small half scoop looking quite lost in my tub. I ordered a scoop of lemon ripple ice cream, no ripple and half a round scoop. £1.80. I politely asked if it was possible to have a little lemon ripple as there was none in my half scoop. Permission had to be gained from another lady across the cafe. I took my paltry offering over to show her, but very little interest was shown. We are locals and like to support local businesses. Thank you for the bonus ticket to use the loos, a whole scoop of ice cream was all that was required.

Came here around 11 years ago and had fond memories. On this trip the service itself was satisfactory but the food was poor. If it could be microwaved it was. The beans on my children’s meals were cold but had a skin on where they’d been under a heat lamp (yet were still cold!) and my lasagne was sat in a pool of oily mess. Drinks were served in plastic throw away cups. Not a particularly inviting atmosphere either. Very sad considering it’s position along the sea front. Prices were expensive for what you received.

We dropped in here due to our niece wanting a chocolate Ice cream. We had eaten at scoops in Butlins, but the chocolate flavour was a little to bitter for her. here the ice cream was delicious & the staff friendly.

I popped in here for an ice cream after a long walk. The choice is amazing! I can certainly vouch for the apple ice cream. Although I only bought a cone to take away, the lady told me I was more than welcome to sit down inside if I wished. I did :-)

Wow what a choice, took ages to decide which flavour to have, in the end I plumped for the toffee and walnut, it was delicious, proper Italian ice cream, the cafe looked good too, so when next in Minehead will try out their breakfast or lunch before having another ice cream

What terrible service in this place. My 2 year old needed the toilet and with 2 year old they give you no notice. Asked to use the toilet and was refused until we bought something. I would of happily bought an ice cream after but my poor child could not wait and by the time I got her to a grass area behind the shop an accident had happened and she was very upset. Will never buy an ice cream in this place as the service is shocking and their regard to toddlers awful. Especially being so close to Butlins you would think they would be more child friendly.

This is the cafe and ice cream parlour which proudly serves Sidolo ice cream which is described as "made in Wales by Italians" Situated on the sea front just past the market and short walk from Butlins on way to town centre. We decided to treat the kids as it markets itself as an ice cream parlour which we thought would be an experience. The outside of shop is very run down and the interior is tired but very clean. We sat in The window seat overlooking the sea front and it is a nice view - have uploaded a picture. The ice cream sundaes were served in tall traditional glasses and looked nice. The ice cream tasted nice too and offers about 10 different types of sundaes priced at £4:35 each. You get a wider selection of ice creams about 30 or more if you have a cone or a tub. The thing that disappointed us was that although marketing as an ice cream parlour where we expected it to be made from scratch we saw that the sundaes are factory prepared and a plastic pot is just inserted into the glass which spoils the overall expected service especially at the price which is similar to a Hagen Dazs cafe where they are prepared from scratch and offered as an experience. However we still enjoyed the ice cream. My wife had the treacle syrup sponge which is a medium portion with custard but is very rich and you would not want it to be bigger. Again, you could see that it was a prepared. Microwave sponge which was a shame as the overall "parlour" gives the impression of a homemade traditional parlour ... which clearly it is not. The other unique experience was being handed a code to get through a fake doorway which allows you to use the toilets - it's a bit odd .... and massive signs saying toilets only for patrons... despite free council toilets being well placed along promenade. On thing to mention was the very shiny taps in toilets someone obviously takes care and pride in shining them up. Overall, nice factory prepared ice cream, cakes - dinners likely similar - overpriced for what it is and could get similar sundae and syrup cake from Morrisons cafe for a £1.00 round corner. Disappointingly not the traditional parlour experience we thought it would be ... Shane as could easily get up there and then justify its existence as a parlour and would likely be a popular experience by the holidaymakers at Butlins. By the way, Butlins! also has a bit more expensive parlour on site but offers it in a traditional way so gives bit choice here as well. So, tasty ice cream thumbs up - experience thumbs down. Ok visit if want something to do... Hope this helps you readers

We ate here two days running, as was so nice, I have to say the fish and chips were delicious, the fish was totally fresh and the batter light and tasty, the portion was not huge but I didn't want the biggest fish and chips in the world I prefer to have the nicest. The icecreams are available as sundaes or scoops, I can absolutely recommend the Turkish delight and orio ( with nut sprinkles ) my husband had two of the sundaes ( on different days I hasten to add) , both were delicious he assures me. The waitress was lovely as were all the staff, and we can completely understand that they need to keep the toilets for customers only ( it's a beach front cafe and people I'm sure can be cheeky ). If it's quality not quantity your after I can't recommend enough. They've been going for 80 years , says something about the business.

Leave yourself plenty of time to chose which ice cream you are going to have. With up to three freezers full of different flavours there is a lot of deciding to do and I usually change my mind several times before I finally make my mind up.We have never eaten inside but often get a take away sandwich to eat on the beach. Always packed with filing and the subs are huge. The surroundings are rather spartan but clean and on the whole the staff are friendly and helpful they also give you a ticket to use their loo when you make a purchase. Very useful as the beach loos leave a lot to be desired.

I had the most wonderful chicken salad sandwich, my hubby had a lovely breakfast and the icecream is out of this world, there are so many delicious flavours to choose from. The cafe itself is extremly clean and run by friendly and efficient staff, it was short walk from Butlins so was easy to access, would recommend a visit if in Minehead.

Good selection of ice creams from reknowned Sidoli's. Food ordered was average and slightly overpriced. One adult meal ordered was served on the same small size plate and portion size as the children. I can understand that the proprietors don't want everyone coming in from the beach etc to use their toilet facilities but the system of having to key in a number off your receipt to gain entry to the facilities was both annoying and totally impractical for some diners.Would recommend visiting for the ice cream and desserts. There are, however better places nearby to dine for cooked meals and snacks.

Popped in to Sidoli's on Minehead seafront for some ice cream. The café reminded me of childhood holidays. Spent some time selecting from the large selection, and were given samples buy the really pleasant lady serving us. This is the creamiest ice cream I have ever eaten with clean strong flavours (in my case, chocolate and cappuccino with chocolate sauce and clotted cream). I wish there was a Sidoli's in Glasgow.

You must book. The food was excellent. A typical country pub. Well worth a visit. Not cheap but the food is worth every penny.

This is our second time visiting in as many years. The first year was passable as ok. This time around was absolutely shocking. The food was possiblity the worst pub food we have ever tried. I have no idea what the cook done to the chips but they were swimming in grease and the same for the gammon. The kids pasta was over microwaved and the peas were cold. The service was equally as shocking. The venue was pretty empty so was a bit annoyed when we had to wait and ask for our deserts. When they came out, our table still had all the dirty main course plates on it, however the server placed the deserts down on the table amongst them. When she removed the dirty plates she did not ask if everything was ok,so we made a point in telling her it was bad. Disappointingly though she dismissed it and nothing was said. Ignore the posters throughout offering 25% off food for military as there are so many conditions that you don't get it. And to top it off the two men's cubicles at 14:00hrs on a quite day were covered in s*"t. Avoid unless you are desperate.

I have now reached the 56 year mark and after the time I have had since April I value every day far more than I did and take each day as it comes and expect to be taken as I am by others. In all my visits to Exmoor with my parents when I was growing up and when I returned back down with my lovely wife and various dogs over the years we have never been in the White Horse. As we were staying at Court Farm in Snowdrop we took the chance on a filthy night to venture in to the bar at the White Horse. I really liked the set up=looked like church or chapel pews and plenty of country pictures and items on the walls-how it should be. The gentleman serving says Mark on the receipt was a lovely gent pleasant and hosting without any airs or graces-helpful and considerate. Meal wise we had One Trout in Almonds served with new potatoes and seasonal veg well cooked and well presented and One Flat Iron Steak cooked medium which again was very well cooked and well presented. Managed one sticky toffee pudding and one raspberry brulee washed down with Guiness and Exmoor ale, the waiting staff were pleasant and effecient and the chef has an odd sense of humour but having come from that background I enjoyed that. Excellent meal in wonderful surroundings
