Sidmouth Takeaway Pizza House in East Devon

Whilst the chips and batter were nice the haddock was inedible and I'm afraid ended up in the bin. I also rhought £11 is also a bit steep for a take away.

Best take away food in sidmouth

Just finished tucking in to my chicken and side salad and it was amazing, the closest to kfc I have had and I didn't have to drive all the way to Exmouth for it as their lovely driver delivered it for me. Also "borrowed" a slice of my sons pizza to try and that was very nice too although a little spicy for my simple taste buds 😂 but his choice! Will definitely be ordering again every time I am too "busy" to cook myself. Thanks guys x

I had fish and chips here in July - the fish was not fresh and the batter was not a usual batter you would have on fish. The chips were also unlike normal chippy chips. Would not recommend the fish and chips option.

We wanted some late night fish and chips whilst in Sidmouth. I really wish we hadn’t bothered visiting this establishment. The chips looked suspiciously like oven chips cooked in an air fryer and I suspect the very rectangular fish was a frozen one again cooked up in an air fryer. In any event both remained uneaten and went straight into the bin. They are hopefully better at cooking up pizzas and burgers but please up the game with the fish and chips or stop selling them, I’m actually embarrassed for you such was the poor quality served up here.

Fish and chips by the sea is a holiday tradition, but most of this food ended up in the bin. Fish was horrible, definitely would not recommend.

Stay away from this place, it's dirty, everything is sticky with grease. The fish and chips are disgusting, old and frozen, the fries are underbaked. I have never eaten such bad fish and chips anywhere else.

Have been using this Takeaway for the past five years, mainly pizzas, which we love, but other food when we have guests. Very rarely disappointed with quality, (well, no-one's perfect), service always good, and friendly. Have recommended to many friends. Always happy to come back for more!

So this is the second time I've been to this takeaway. The first time I had a kebab and pizza and it was generally very good. However after reading the reviews of the fish and chips I decided to go for cod and chips. The chips were very good but I ordered a large portion (to share) and I would say there were fewer chips than I'd expect in most regular portions. They didn't even cover the bottom of the container they were put in. The fish was awful. Very dense and tough cod, with a thick coating of batter on one side, and none on the other side which meant that the fish inside had been annihilated by the hot oil and was brown and crispy and virtually inedible. I did go very early in the evening, just after they open so it was possible that they weren't up to full capacity and maybe rushed the order. My daughter had a plain sausage (good) and curry sauce (also very nice).

Been here a few times before and never had problems but this time was different , firstly they messed up my order charging me an extra 2.50 on top of the 7.70 just for a sprinkle of cheese , when a regular cheesy chips is 3.90 . I complained and had a response that was very rude , most takeaways around the area offer much better food and price . The takeaway is very un hygienic , will not be returning very disappointed.

I ordered 2x pizza was told it would cost at delivery £29.40 then delivery came with a very rude women who refused my daughters the pizza because she demanded £1.90 tips told my daughters so they came up stairs very user as she grabbed £30.00 to cover it and then I call my daughters back up stairs and said bring money back my daughter was so upset as the women was so rude I called up they gave me pizza free as I did sati was my other daughters 14th birthday and they have totally messed but her birthdays meal as I was cold as I had to call and the bought the pizzas back which is not fair and I’m still not happy as they have never let me down until now !!!!

Ordered cod+chips and a tandori chicken pizza for delivery to our campervan - they were very obliging and the food arrived quickly + piping hot. Easy link-payment method. Both meals were lovely, fresh & tasty and the cod portion very generous! So good we'll be repeating tomorrow 👍

Good place for pizza, burger,and chips, plenty of choice of toppings and they do a very hot chille pizza base if you like that sort of thing. Staff are always helpful, friendly and polite. The only thing i dont like is their southern style chicken. The waiting area is a little on the small size so with the current situation with covid and social distancing it is a little difficult to distance yourself form other, waiting outside is also difficult as the pavement is a little on the narrow side.

We ordered From here on the 10/04/2021 and we was sadly really disappointed, We ordered a Chicken burger (Skyscraper burger), Scampi, a one piece Chicken, cheesy chips and spicy chips. The chicken fillet in the burger was so thin you could barely taste the chicken, I could taste the hash brown more than the actual Chicken in the burger. The scampi was really greasy and was left after 2 because it didn't taste nice because of the grease, It was a shame since we do really enjoy scampi. We didn't actually get the One piece Chicken but instead got 3 Chicken strips, There were nice but obviously not what we ordered. My spicy chips I actually enjoyed but they were more soggy than crispy and it was the same for my partner's cheesy chips. We're unsure if they was just having a bad day or if this is normal because we don't normally order from them, but we won't be in a rush to order again anytime soon.

Pretty decent fish and chips but nothing special. Good points was that the fish was cooked fresh and I was told to wait 10 minutes which was exactly right. However the batter was quite oily and the portion of chips was pretty small. Fish was good.

Definitely the best fish and chips I've had in years! Everything cooked fresh to order, and well worth the 10 minute wait. If I lived locally I'd be a regular customer for sure!

So I ordered a chicken kebab, well it was a fatty chewy mess, with no pitta bread! Best bit was the salad. The chips were hard, the onion rings were soft, and squishy. They didn't get touched. The pizzas were ok but we've had better. A waste of £45 not good at all. Never ordering from here again!
