Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans this place is to die for. Met my mom in town because she owed me a tenner that I lent her to put on the electricity meter and if I don't get hold of her on giro day I'd never get it back. Met her at SIDE WALK CAFE where she likes to sit with her chain smoking fat friends. I had a full fry up because why not have a full fry up when I've got a few quid in my pocket to treat myself with I hear you saying. The service was exceptional and my mom didn't even have chance to stub out her 8th cigarette before the food turned up. Through no fault of their own my moms friend Maureen defecated herself in her wheelchair. Thank the good lord we were outside. Without even asking the staff they came out with some blue roll to clean Maureen up. Outstanding service if I do say so myself if you know what I mean. Great spot to watch the world go by.

I’ve been going to this cafe for 16 years and I’ve never had bad service. Over the years I’ve ordered several different meals and every time the result has been the same. Brilliant food in good size portions and at good prices. The staff are always very friendly the number of customers is a testament to the popularity. Also greatly positioned with the 2 main bus interchanges being in walking distance with access to other areas of the town and nearby towns and cities such as Lichfield and Birmingham. Also closer to home the shops in the town centre are with in easy walking distance to allow visitors to make a day of the visit and during school holidays a day out for kids both young and old the snowdome leisure centre close by

Two Full breakfasts plus sides, beautifully cooked by friendly staff. Food excellent. Restaurant and facilities clean. Always a pleasure to eat there. Highly recommend

Usually have breakfast delivered but as in town thought I'd call in for Traditional Breakfast plus extra mushrooms, hash browns and black pudding. Food freshly cooked, nice large portions and very tasty. Topped of with a lovely cuppa. Highly recommended

November 2021. Dreadful meal served up, basically a breakfast with chips which were very greasy, egg flat and covereed in burnt bits, beans were just a couple of tea spoon fulls. Cost almost a tenner with a tea! I feel I was ripped off badly.

I hiked into Tamworth feeling parched, and this was the first cafe I came to. It was a sleepy mid-afternoon, the cafe fairly empty, and first signs weren't great. Bit of detective work needed to find the menu, only a small part of which is displayed on a board. This cafe lacked presentation skills generally. Its looks are super plain--no attempt at a signature decor at all, nothing to visually draw customers in or convey atmosphere. That said, when my tea came up it was excellent. So I had another. I chose the Sicilian Lemon Pudding and Ice Cream to go with the second tea. To be honest, it was nothing special, but it went down well. The blonde lady doing most of the work was impressive. When an old lady who seemed to be suffering with maybe a bit of Alzheimer's came in, this staff member was marvellous and patient with her, even though the customer was a bit sharp and illogical to deal with. I took that memory away with me, kindness and humanity in action. Much love to the Side Walk Cafe.

Ordered through Uber Eats. The drinker called me to say that he was outside my house. I couldn’t see the driver anywhere so called the restaurant who said they would call him. I waited 5 minutes and called the restaurant back who advised that the driver had gone to the wrong address. The driver turned up 5 minutes later and was extremely rude. He argued with me about my address and told me that my address was wrong. The address wasn’t wrong and I had to insist I know where I live. If the driver used the postcode I had given it would have taken him to my address. The driver was extremely rude and I won’t be using again which is a shame because the food was lovely.

This café serves a variety of food. If its plain good everyday fare you seek this is the place to go get it. Excellently cooked, and everything clean and presentable. The staff are great, friendly pleasant and obliging, you get full at table service, which I might add is not offered at some local restaurants. Price wise it is great, but the extra for me is the ambient atmosphere. Best in town by far.

The food was excellent and the staff are great it is a great experience food and atmosphere outstanding have a great!! Day👍🏾:)

I work locally I’ve been using this cafe for years, they deliver to your work without charging, When your food gets to you it’s still hot. They’re always polite when you call and very polite when they deliver will even take a few minutes to have a chat with you. Overall always an outstanding service for a very reasonable price.

Went here for breakfast with the family, the staff was very well mannered and very helpful. The meals were very cheap considering breakfast for 5 with drinks for under £25. Food tasted great and was with us fairly quick. Highly recommend, they even have take away boxes if the kids want to finish it later or eat it on the pushchair tray on the go.

It's what it is a cafe doing good food straight as that no frills cheap good food in nothing special surrounding

Been to this cafe last couple of times we’ve come to Tamworth the value for money is excellent and the food and portions are extremely good. I agree that it needs a bit of money spending on the place and menus but for the price and service you get you can’t complain.

Back again for the lovely food .Chips and beans etc.Revamped downstairs tables and chairs but the carpet up to toilets are filthy. same as the toilet.nearly fell down them as they are so sticky.Still cloud of smoke to get through to the door too? Shame they didnt update it all.

First impressions are poor. The cafe looks dirty from the exterior and has a hive of customers smoking right outside the doorway. Once you hold your breath and close your eyes to get through the tobacco cloud outside you will find it isn't much better inside - very dated, smelling of oil and lacking atmosphere However... Service was excellent, a lovely friendly lady took my order and it arrived remarkably quick, granted I only ordered toast but they were very busy. The toast was nice thick bread and had been toasted just right and smothered in proper butter... all for the grand total of 90p! What a bargain!

Este es un café muy informal con mesas fuera de fumadores y un freqented área interior que se llena. Dicho esto, es un agradable donde muchos clientes habituales vienen para tomar un café o comer. El café estaba bien. El menú es relativamente amplio y hay desayunos y comidas informales para la mayoría de los gustos. Los precios son muy razonables y el personal es servicial. Me gustaría volver aquí para una buena comida a precios razonables o snack.

Our regular lunch break when shopping. The menu is varied with value meals and good service. The waitress is very efficient and never stands still. Basic decor but clean and welcoming. Particularly like the two for £6 meals, with a good choice of items.

As breakfast goes appearance it's definitely not mindblowing, BUT tasting it and you will savor the pork in the sausage, the bacon is cooked to my idea of breakfast heaven and whether your a toast or fried bread person your certainly in very safe hands. Comes with a wide ranging choice of food and drink menu and the best compliment I can give is the cafe is always busy but the customers range from all ages from pensioners to youngsters so I think this gives you a good idea of who it caters and appeals to.

this s my regular and went in with my sister and we both ordered a full english.and the portion size was just the job and ideal for a small breakfast too. staff are quick and friendly and always there to assist, but food is lovely. my only moan are the menus seem sticky and decor is dated.but think a revamp of the toilet too as it felt dirty and dingy,Glad the smoking ban has come in as remember having to go upstairs away from the smokers downstairs .

For many Years I have walked past this Cafe and noticed it was always full and people always sitting outside so I thought being has The Silk Kite had recently closed so I needed somewhere were I could get a meal, I must say I was very pleased with the cafe when I stepped inside it was extremly clean and the decor was very cheerful. I ordered Plaice and chips that came with peas and salad and I also a cup of coffeeit came to just over £5.00 and the food was extremly good and was also nice and hot I could now see why all the people I see using that Cafe, I shall definatly use this Cafe again

Great little local cafe. Regular fair of food served to a good standard. Good value, staff friendly and polite, its always busy and their feet dont touch the ground. Good, honest food, with a friendly service. Not the best if your a non smoker as you have to walk past a cloud before you go in.

What a terrible experience.Although a lovely day, we sat inside, to avoid the smokers outside, but after we had ordered, and although we were well away from the main door, we found that tobacco smoke was drifting in from smokers outside. (See photo).We found this very unpleasant.Then our hot chocolate and cappuchino coffee were served, and we noticed that the cups and saucers had not been properly washed.The bill was presented to us, and we were overcharged. That was no problem. We just paid what they asked, didn't leave a tip, and left.We didn't want to linger over our hot drinks as flies and wasps were buzzing around the tables.

We tend to go most Saturdays........the staff are on the ball........food is freshly made and tasty..........always go that extra mile for you.......There may be a few oldies but that just shows where the value is...................Try it yourself and judge......

The service, the food and the drinks were all fine and it is reasonably priced. It's more of a greasy spoon than a Cafe but again, it was okay. The tables and high chairs were a bit sticky and the metal teapots, jugs and spoons had dried water marks all over them. There were also lots of tables where the plates hadn't been collected. But when you can get four sandwiches, two lattes, a pot of tea, two milkshakes and a plate of chips for just under £20, should I really be complaining at all?

I visit this place on a regular basis for my breakfast as I've tried pretty much all the others in town and this is the best as it really does taste like your nan made it. The bacon is nice and thick, and the fried bread is to die for! It's always full of oldies, which speaks for itself. It could go with a revamp if I'm honest, but it's all about the food for me at this place.

Now the side walk cafe is in the area of Tamworth overlooking the market, it is not the place for posh nosh but just perfect if you want a good & plentiful breakfast, brunch or lite bite. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable so in all you get good value for money.It is an every day run of the mill cafe, perhaps two notches up from a greasy spoon but looking at how busy it was the cafe is catering for those looking for a budget cafe this is also reflected in the. decor including the seating.
