Siam Signature Thai in Sutton

This is second time I’ve been to this restaurant, the food and atmosphere is authentic. Good value for money and the staff are always friendly.

We’ve been coming here & ordering take aways from here for a few years. Although more expensive than others we were always happy to pay for the quality of the food. However, today’s takeout was such a massive disappointment! Our usuals “Pad Thai & Duck in Tamarind”were swimming in some kind of sweet sauce, barely any noodles & loads of shredded carrot and over baring onions. Be lucky to find the duck! The lava prawns were lovely however we only had 3 prawns. The prawn toasts were undercooked so we didn’t eat them. For £76 we will not be returning - must be a new chef

Quite simply the finest Thai food served by the nicest people. The whole experience from start to finish was magnificent. Please ignore any bad reviews, they’re talking nonsense. The food and service here is incredible.

The service was incredibly slow. For most of the evening we were the only customers in the restaurant, and the staff prioritise take away orders instead of making our food. We could SEE them doing this. When we complained they denied it (which was an embarrassing lie) made lots of excuses and only took a negligible amount off the bill. Slow service, poor attitude to customers. NOT recommended. Do not eat there. I never will again.

What’s happened to this place? Maybe a new chef? Portion sizes are terrible for the price. The once wonderful pad Thai was sweet, full of sauce and was not nice. The prawns in it were rubbery. Duck in tamarind sauce (once a firm favourite) had 4 bits of duck and was over cooked. Crispy prawns were soggy and bland. The restaurant was busy and there were not enough staff to cope with the kitchen and the restaurant, as well as having to cater for take away orders. We won’t be back.
