Ordered from here a few times now. Always delicious and arrives on time.

Honey on the honey chicken had solidified and was inedible. The chicken sate was tough and over cooked. The shrimp fried rice was just okay. The ribs were dry.

Tasteless and poor quality not as advertised to) don’t trust the reviews probably made by the people at the restaurant?

I recently visited this excellent Chinese takeaway because I was driving passed and got hungry and, as expected, it was lovely. The food was delicious and lived up to the high standards I've come to expect from this type of business. One of the best features is that you can see the kitchen when you order, and it's always sparkling clean. This transparency and commitment to hygiene make it my go-to spot for Chinese food. Highly recommended!

The squid was perfect! This is my new fave Chinese.

Huge portion, but it was swimming in grease and not a whole lot of taste. There are better options in the area.

Lovely food. It arrived early, hot and it was great.

Extremely disappointed with this takeaway. Called in for a delivery, issues with taking card details, was told a waiting time of 45 minutes, however food arrived within at least 10 minutes of ending the conversation, initially thinking that would be a positive, but SADLY mistaken, food had this intense tangy smell to it, as soon as it was out of the packaging, so intense it immediately made you question whether the food was okay to actually eat. Spent nearly £50.00 and sadly all ended up in the bin as it didn’t smell safe enough to eat. Would not recommend this takeaway to anyone!!!!

I am lucky enough to have an award winning Chinese restaurant local to me in Somerset, which is my benchmark…..this place is the closest I’ve come to that all over the country….including ChinaTown London (which is P.S a missive let down) Amazing food, would definitely go out of my way for this place🫡 Thank you guys 🙏

The food here is absolutely fantastic and the staff were extremely oovely and warming, they are some of the best people, even the delivery drivers are the best and kind to you, this place is absolutely amazing well done shun da chinese takeaway

Really like it. Prices are kind of what you expect and their lemon chicken is lovely as well. (along with all the other food over orded) delivery times is normally good. All in all I recommend 👍

We are visiting after a few years and enjoyed picking some of our old favouties. Salt & pepper chips always hit the spot, to accompany Sweet & Sour king prawns and S&P squid, wit Hot & Sour soup to finish off. al the flavours were.there at we.love and remember. I'm afraid I took off a star as both the soup.and the Sweet & Sour sauce were far too glutinous, and there was way too much salt in the squid seasoning (tonights were salt, salt and pepper chips) sorry

Good food but order was messed up, they forgot one dish and mixed up a vegetarian one for meat

The meals arrived alot earlier than expected. The chow mein was very nice but the omelette was far too salty to eat. I even got mouth full of salt.. so next time I will avoid omelette and will order another chow mein.

The crab and sweetcorn soup was thick and delicious, so we were expecting great things for the mains. Sadly these fell short. The shrimp curry had plenty of shrimps, but was swimming in some sort of oil, the curry sauce was split and tasteless. The king prawns and mixed veg was also tasteless and swimming in oil. Plenty of prawns though. Am very disappointed as it could have been a great meal but rushing and to much oil ruined it. The fried rice wasn't fried either, it was boiled with chopped egg added. It certainly wasn't worth the £31we paid. Which we scrapped together as we hadn't had a Chinese for ages.

Never had a bad meal from here. I travel 30 minutes from Brixham in order to get the takeaway. Food is always cooked perfectly and super tasty. They follow any instructions asked of them. They are also one of the only chinese restaurants that cater to vegetarians with a decent amount on their menu.

I had to take a Covid test because of the lack of flavour. Good news. I don’t have Covid.

Food was good , very flavorful,but had to ring the restaurant to find out where it was as just eat said it was on the way and half hour later it still wasn't. Apparently another customer was causing issues with the driver. Arrived 45 minutes after it left for delivery.

Orded from here a couple times and been really impressed both times. Especially the lemon chicken. Food was hot both times so yeah all good 👍

My 2nd order here, the food was greasy and oily .. a pack of oily mrooms with minimal meat, oily dumplings .. even the outside of containers was oily and carrier bag, yes oily. I wonder how is your kitchen, you caused a cleanup job everywhere here. Best (+5) to Worst (-5) in just a couple of days .. a sudden loss of care, attention, quality, presentation .. as if a totally different business. Reminds of famous saying : "you're only as good as your last performance"

1st time using this place and what a disappointment’ Chicken Curry was tasteless and the chicken was so chewy’ clearly been re heated ‘ asked for fried rice and got boiled rice with egg on ‘ chips was ok ‘ the sweat and sour chicken was again re heated and so chewy’ even the dog had trouble eating the chicken ‘ we will never re order from this establishment again ‘ shame you can’t rate a zero because that’s what it’s worth

I checked comments prior to my first-time order, and ahh yes now I understand .. the quality really is far above the average "chinese takeaway", this is Top Restaurant quality. Each dish is perfect, and the Dumplings were a huge surprise ! I've missed proper dimplings that good since my years working in SEAsia. Many thanks to Shun Da Team and your focused, cheerful driver. I most definitely recommend Shun Da for their highest quality and of course I intend to return with many future orders !

Honestly the nicest Chinese I’ve ever eaten in Torquay ! After my go to shut its doors A few months ago Curry sauce could be abit thicker but the taste was great on all 4 dishes , fresh and really nice , delivery driver was polite and food beaming hot ! Couldn’t of asked for better service or a better meal well impressed will order again soon if the quality is going to be this good ! Please put bbq ribs on your menu

Chow mein noodles where so overcooked they were a soggy mulch, all the meat was so dry and the beef was obviously cheap cut and disgusting to eat. I will not order here again

I ordered my food for 7:30 it was dispatched at 6:35 I rang and said I wasn’t home they said they will send it out for 7:30 8:00 still no food rang up said food was delivery was before 7:30 but nobody knocked on the door and I’m very disappointed and still don’t have my food and lady on the phone is very rude

The best Chinese I think i’ve ever had. Recently tried this one as the other local ones have gone down hill. And wow!! ordered 3 or 4 times now and each time its been amazing. Slightly more expensive then some others but the price is definitely reflected in the quality. Particular favs are the salt and pepper chips, chicken satay on skewers and prawn toast. Everything we have ordered has been spot on. Super speedy delivery even on the weekend. Amazing!!!

Spicy chilli beef, poor quality ingredients ,thin Spicy sauce tasted more like sweet n sour ,hardly any onions or anything else,auderves were ok not much to shout about hardly any meat on ribs, shocking how a business can produce/ sell such poor quality food

Szechuan king prawns were horrid, asked for extra spicy & they came in a weird tomato based sauce. Everything else was nice & delivery driver was friendly but I won’t order again from here.

Great family run Chinese, everything about the food was great and is every time. Always happy to take the order staff are amazing and they are really conscious of getting peoples food to them as soon as possible. A local legend if you ask me.

Really terrible food. Fried rice was just boiled rice with a bit of egg in it. Ribs were disgraceful, just a couple of small bones with no meat. Chips had a strange taste. Batter of chicken balls was so thick it was uncooked inside. Beef in black bean was nice.

Was not happy at all. 1st off I put delivery time as 9.55 and it turnt up at 9 when I was still working so had to eat my dinner cold. I had the salt and pepper box and most off it was chips and off what chicken and ribs we had was left overs. So disappointed won’t be ordering again

The food was not nice. Chicken balls were cut in half and were really overcooked! Chips were soggy. The tiny pieces of ribs were inedible and all went into the bin! Tiny chunks of gristle and probably the worst ribs I've ever had. Overall the worst sadly and pepper box we've ever had. Really disappointed and won't be eating here again.

Vile tasteless and stodgy !!! Pork ribs unable to eat, prawn sweet and sour balls - smelling off and scared to eat them anc thick batter, ribs cut tiny with no meat, so they where pointless!! So disappointed,

Food was hot and good but the prices are a little bit too high

The chicken felt dry and re-heated, not fresh at all. The honey chicken was literally just some breaded chicken bites I can buy from Iceland, sitting in a THICK layer of honey. Other than that sticky sweet honey taste the food was also bland and heavy (my stomach feels quite queasy. the delivery indeed was WAY too fast, not even 5 mins after I ordered I got a call that they are on the way.

The food was nearly an hour late and was only just warm. This is a shame really as I have ordered on quite a few occasions before with no problems incurred. A few problems with communication in regard to a female guest who was staying with me, and I was not aware of until after the fact. Once warm the quality of the food was fine.

The food was amazing and really good value for the portions!

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING ! I'M A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER, AND THE FOOD QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WERE ATROCIOUS ! MY 2 PORTIONS OF EGG FRIED RICE WEREN'T FRIED ! IT WAS JUST BOILED RICE WITH A FEW DABS OF EGG IN THERE ! THE BEEF CURRY WAS TASTELESS AND NOT SPICY AT ALL ! I PHONED UP TO COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING, AND I JUST GOT SHOUTED AT AND TALKED OVER, OVER THE PHONE ! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK THERE, OR EVEN ATTEMPT TO ORDER ANYTHING OFF OF THEM ! AND I SUGGEST THAT WHOEVER READS THIS REVIEW, DOES LIKE WISE !
