Ordered a takeaway for collection. "Maggie" if that is her real name was very rude. She said that she is the manager, but I doubt it because she has no customer service skills at all nor is she keen to resolve a problem like a manager should. The order was wrong and we were given the wrong sauce. Maggie said that we didn't ask for the sauce. We did, but the lady at the till put it in wrong. We asked if it was possible to have the BBQ sauce that we ordered delivered, she said yes but we would have to pay £2 for the delivery charge. This is unreasonable as this wasn't out mistake and feel that the company she pay for the delivery. She shouted on the phone. Even when I told her I'd be leaving a bad review if it wasn't corrected, she still decided that that rather than take fault for the wrong order and pay £2 that the bad feedback was worth it. A manager, my backside! The company would be wise to sack her before they have no business at all.

Really great food from here always! Amazing tofu/veggie options, you feel nice after, not too full or sickly like you get after some take aways, haven't found a good Chinese since going veggie but this is great, will be back 100%. Great delivery time, especially considering new years eve. Only criticisms I have at all is the egg fried rice always comes more white than brown and I prefer the brown egg fried rice and the curry sauce wasn't my favourite, but doesn't stop it being 5 star. Thanks

Food is lovely, delivery driver obviously doing her best despite being run off her feet however an hour late is not acceptable. The restaurant need to be better prepared for busy nights, especially pay day weekend before Christmas

I recently ordered a selection of dishes, including beef tenderloin in black bean sauce, duck with plum sauce, plain chow mein, and prawn crackers. Everything was absolutely delicious! The beef was wonderfully tender and packed with flavor, while the duck paired perfectly with the sweet plum sauce. The chow mein was simple yet satisfying, and the prawn crackers were perfectly crisp. A fantastic meal overall!

Really impressed, I never ordered from here because I thought I didn't like it, but it was actually great, great veggie options, the tofu was amazing and battered too no just soft wet tofu! The salt and pepper tofu was fantastic, will only order Chinese from here now!

Wow! According to reviews, this is the best Chinese in Torquay. How bad is the worst?. Part of order missing, totally bland. Basically paid over £30 for a box of chips and a tub of anemic bones. Never again

I recently visited this excellent Chinese takeaway because I was driving passed and got hungry and, as expected, it was lovely. The food was delicious and lived up to the high standards I've come to expect from this type of business. One of the best features is that you can see the kitchen when you order, and it's always sparkling clean. This transparency and commitment to hygiene make it my go-to spot for Chinese food. Highly recommended!

Lovely food. It arrived early, hot and it was great.

Extremely disappointed with this takeaway. Called in for a delivery, issues with taking card details, was told a waiting time of 45 minutes, however food arrived within at least 10 minutes of ending the conversation, initially thinking that would be a positive, but SADLY mistaken, food had this intense tangy smell to it, as soon as it was out of the packaging, so intense it immediately made you question whether the food was okay to actually eat. Spent nearly £50.00 and sadly all ended up in the bin as it didn’t smell safe enough to eat. Would not recommend this takeaway to anyone!!!!

We are visiting after a few years and enjoyed picking some of our old favouties. Salt & pepper chips always hit the spot, to accompany Sweet & Sour king prawns and S&P squid, wit Hot & Sour soup to finish off. al the flavours were.there at we.love and remember. I'm afraid I took off a star as both the soup.and the Sweet & Sour sauce were far too glutinous, and there was way too much salt in the squid seasoning (tonights were salt, salt and pepper chips) sorry

The meals arrived alot earlier than expected. The chow mein was very nice but the omelette was far too salty to eat. I even got mouth full of salt.. so next time I will avoid omelette and will order another chow mein.

The crab and sweetcorn soup was thick and delicious, so we were expecting great things for the mains. Sadly these fell short. The shrimp curry had plenty of shrimps, but was swimming in some sort of oil, the curry sauce was split and tasteless. The king prawns and mixed veg was also tasteless and swimming in oil. Plenty of prawns though. Am very disappointed as it could have been a great meal but rushing and to much oil ruined it. The fried rice wasn't fried either, it was boiled with chopped egg added. It certainly wasn't worth the £31we paid. Which we scrapped together as we hadn't had a Chinese for ages.

Never had a bad meal from here. I travel 30 minutes from Brixham in order to get the takeaway. Food is always cooked perfectly and super tasty. They follow any instructions asked of them. They are also one of the only chinese restaurants that cater to vegetarians with a decent amount on their menu.

I had to take a Covid test because of the lack of flavour. Good news. I don’t have Covid.

Food was good , very flavorful,but had to ring the restaurant to find out where it was as just eat said it was on the way and half hour later it still wasn't. Apparently another customer was causing issues with the driver. Arrived 45 minutes after it left for delivery.

Orded from here a couple times and been really impressed both times. Especially the lemon chicken. Food was hot both times so yeah all good 👍

My 2nd order here, the food was greasy and oily .. a pack of oily mrooms with minimal meat, oily dumplings .. even the outside of containers was oily and carrier bag, yes oily. I wonder how is your kitchen, you caused a cleanup job everywhere here. Best (+5) to Worst (-5) in just a couple of days .. a sudden loss of care, attention, quality, presentation .. as if a totally different business. Reminds of famous saying : "you're only as good as your last performance"

I checked comments prior to my first-time order, and ahh yes now I understand .. the quality really is far above the average "chinese takeaway", this is Top Restaurant quality. Each dish is perfect, and the Dumplings were a huge surprise ! I've missed proper dimplings that good since my years working in SEAsia. Many thanks to Shun Da Team and your focused, cheerful driver. I most definitely recommend Shun Da for their highest quality and of course I intend to return with many future orders !
