Shu xiang ge hot pot in City of London, Westminster

I returned to my country after returning to China countless times! The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and every bite is satisfying. Affordable price and extremely cost-effective. The waiters were enthusiastic and friendly. The location is conveniently located in Chinatown. I had a great time eating!

Very delicious, the meat is very tasty and fresh.

We went here to have a small meal, we decided after looking at the menu not to have hotspot but the noodles on hr menu, the staff were very aggressive, then we waited for 29mim for our food, only for our 30£ food to be over salted noodles cover Ed in chili oil and in tiny portions. Never again, it was so bad I don't even wanna go someplace else to eat something else now

After reading one or two very negative comments, I wanted to share our experience with my son (27 years old) and me. We walked through the doors of this little restaurant in Chinatown without having read these reviews, fortunately... Very pleasant waiters, quick to take our order, try to advise us and explain the menu... Despite the Asian accent mixed with English that we are far from mastering 😂 we trusted the waiter. Asian fondue made from 2 or 3 different broths in which the chosen ingredients must cook, the spiciest one is really mouth-watering 🥵 it was very good, we were at the table next to the cash register, yes they were there watching if we didn't miss anything, to show us how to cook certain things, maybe they didn't care about our lack of culture but whatever 😜 their attitude was polite, they very kind and respectful, value for money is proportionate, I recommend this simple and good little restaurant 👍

the food was so yummy!!!!! i had never had hot pot before so i was kind of scared since im a picky eater, but the boy out front by the menu was so helpful and cute :) and very patient helping me find things i liked and was very kind and i enjoyed my meal so much!!! and even though it was a busy night, i didn’t wait very long, i was getting take away and they let me sit at a table while i waited for my food to be ready, i was very happy. thank you >o<, i was traveling here but next time i come back to london i’ll definitely have to come back :))) <33

First time trying HotPot and it's quite nice but to try it for the first time in this place is a big NO! I'm giving two starts because of the only nice younger male employee. Overprice even though the quality of food is good but they need to improve their service and friendliness... The service is slow and they forgot a few things ( it happens everywhere) and we nicely asked twice about the rice and the noodles we ordered and they kept saying is coming or do you want to order?. I'm not asian so therefore I might not know how certain asian restaurants work or they supply things, so I asked to the manager for napkins and he aggressively pulled the draw of napkins of the table like he was going to take the entire table away. Plus the cashier ignored us when we asked him if everything was alright with change. No smiles whatsoever in this restaurant. Quite of an hostile environment. Do not recommend it!

The best Chinese spicy hotpot in Chinatown! Obsessed with all the food here—it's very delicious and fresh! Highly recommend the tomato soup hotpot; the noodles are nice as well.

Quite simply to flee. The concept of the Hot Pot was not explained to us so we ordered without really knowing what we were getting. We were then placed at the back of the restaurant, where the manager had the wonderful idea of ​​putting on the air conditioning (in November, customers ate in down jackets...). The atmosphere was heavy, particularly because of the waiters who, after we had ordered, walked past us without caring about our situation. We waited 50 minutes for our food (no exaggeration) asking twice if we were going to be served. Finally, we left with very little excuses from the manager. Really lousy experience, but reading the other comments in French, I think I'm not the only one to have had a bad time in this charlatan "restaurant".

We had a great experience here! The food was incredible—loved the spicy beef, and the beef tongue was so tender and flavorful. Both the spicy and tomato soup bases were packed with flavor and tasted amazing.

The tomato hotpot soup here is incredible—so rich, fresh, and full of tomato flavor. The vegetarian platter pairs perfectly, especially the tofu, which soak up the broth. The service is also very great here. Highly recommend!

As a Brit that lived in china and experienced real Chinese food do not visit this trap. The service was cold cos they wanted to close, I ordered a simple dish, beef and tomato noodles, and received 5 肉片 for those that can't speak Chinese that means 5 slices of frozen cheap cuts of beef normally ordered in large portions for hotpots. Pathetic considering that a pack of around 40 frozen slices of beef costs around £6-8. When I spoke to them in English they tried to speak to my girlfriend in Chinese. When I spoke to them in Chinese explaining that I lived in China previously they realised very quickly that I knew I was being insulted yet they slammed £5 down on my table and didn't even say sorry. Ridiculous service, ridiculous portions.

Pocos puntos malos Payoling salsas de abeto para acompañar sus platos @£ 3. 50 es un poco extremo, ya que esto debe ser suministrado con la comida, ya que es solo cosas estándar como salsa de tierra, aceite de chile, etc. El personal no era el más amable de las personas prefieren estar al teléfono que servir allí a los clientes 🙄 También pedimos 1 dúo de ollas de lúpulo y agregaron la sopa equivocada por un lado, así que nos cobran de nuevo por las sopas completas 🍲 que no creo que esto sea justo.

We enjoyed the place and the food although there are really things that could be greatly improved, such as the attention when explaining how these types of recipes work, with language also being a great barrier. The price is a little expensive, although normal in the area perhaps

One of the best places for hotpot in London! I’ve been here many times throughout the years and it never disappoints. Terence the manager is the highlight to my experience, he is always so kind and helpful. Bravo to him and his team, particularly the young lady who helped a table of first time hot potters next to us. She was super sweet and helpful ❤️

Amazing food experience with the most authentic Chinese hotpot restaurant in London!!!

We tried the Dan Dan Noodles and the braised beef noodle soup and they were really good.

Although some dishes were quite spicy, the waiters were lovely, they offered us drinks due to the delay of the dishes (which arrived quite quickly though). Tasty and well-balanced food in a very nice street in China Town!

This is one of the best hotpot places in China Town! As the first hotpot place in London, this place is definitely worth your visit! Their food is super fresh and if you love spicy hotpot, you are in the right place!!! I would recommend having fresh fish, beef sirloin, fish balls and their delicious spicy baozi to go with the hotpot! I love this place and will definitely come back for more!!

Highly recommended, delicious and hygienic! The Shuxiangge Jiugongge hotpot is a must-try when you come. Seafood and vegetables can be placed in different grids, which can maintain the original flavor of each ingredient. Why don’t you come and try such a conscientious hotpot! If you want to experience spicy food but can’t eat spicy food, remember to order it slightly spicy. The spicy food is very fragrant and friendly!

Shuxiangge is the most authentic butter hotpot I have ever eaten in London.

Best hot pot I have ever had in London. Taste is superb and the staffs were really friendly. They taught us how it works as it was our first time having hotpot and we’ve really enjoyed this experience! Definitely recommending this place to anyone who fancy some Chinese authentic hotpot!!

I went out with my friends and the food smelt really weird. At the end we got the bill and they charged us more than what the price was originally. It was 5p more but the waiter just said “it’s 5p more,so?” and he was mocking at us and ended up giving us 5p change. It might sound silly but realistically don’t be over charging your customers, whatever the price is on the menu should be to the final bill, simple as.

If you do Hotpot the first time, this is a great place to start with - very friendly service and supportive with selection and choices. They have three levels of hot, which was great for us beginners.

Horrible, I had food poisoning which ruined the end of my trip. In addition, the servers are not welcoming. They throw the paper and the pen on the table and we feel that they are judging us if we don't take the most expensive dishes. Throughout the meal a waiter stood nearby looking at us, it was very annoying…

The food was really good, but extremely spicy even tho I asked for the light spice option. Also the servers were always just sitting there with a frown not paying attention to the people calling them. It was a nice interior however.

Highly recommend the Spanish Iberico pig and snowflake beef. They are both delicious. Personally, I think a little spicy food is enough to satisfy the taste buds. The price is not very cheap, and the food is served very quickly.

The service left a lot to be desired; We asked for the slightly spicy dish and they put the opposite. We couldn't enjoy the food. They didn't put glasses with the drinks. Very unpleasant service. The worst of all is that the waiter had a cold. He was sneezing and sniffling non-stop. It didn't occur to him to put on a mask. Bad experience. Would not recommend.
