Popped in for lunch, some staff were friendly and helpful and some were rude. We were seated straight away and paid before we ate, be warned it's CASH ONLY! It was £15 per person plus drinks but this was the cheaped out of the 3 buffets we found in Chinatown. The food was delicious, couldn't fault it, lots of choice and my son who does not usually eat this type of food found stuff to eat- nuggets,chips, noodles. The only disappointment was the won tons as they had hardly any filling, but the thai prawn crackers were amazing. Its quite cramped inside and the decor isn't great but I'd highly recommend this restaurant and although it was busy we didn't feel rushed at all. We will be back.

Listen to the reviews on Google 😂. Food - not sure how they've achieved it, but all dishes tasted the same to me, pretty bland. Except for one dish which had maybe two extra black peppercorns in. I ate some chillis just to give it some taste! Looks a lot better from the outside. Service + atmosphere - Christ, lots of floor staff running around shouting at each other. I was told to pick a seat, and then was moved to a table that was identical, at a time when the restaurant was empty. I then sat down to eat and was immediately approached by someone asking me to pay before I ate anything. I asked for a pineapple juice and then heard staff shouting "pineapple" backwards and forwards a few times 😂. If you want a military style experience, this is the place for you ;)

Buffet that doesn't disappoint you much in the food, but the service leaves a lot to be desired, plastic cases, they change the food from one shelf to another and they pick up the food with cloth gloves which sticks out a little, and the price is not according to the place, this place works because of the location it is in, they will have to improve a lot.

I mean £8 for a container full of Chinese food, and in central London!!! what’s there to complain about really. There was a good selection. Everything tasted nice, especially the BBQ pork.

We just left there and the staff are very rude there was a lady in black who asked us to move from a 4 table to another table but we were seated there fot another family.. we declined politely no then she asked us to move up a seat.. I'm sorry if we are seated then we shouldn't have to move this is while we were eating our food..also the staff always watching us eat. And they don't even let people come through the door. Won't be coming here again which is a shame as this used to be a nice place.

Absolutely disgusting. If you want an experience as a prisoner, don't hesitate to go to this fabulous penitentiary center, no sorry that buffet. The food is horrible, the restaurant is dirty, the staff is aggressive and walks around “watching” us. The hygiene is deplorable and I repeat, the food is absolutely abominable. Little choice, cold meal, high price and terrible welcome. We loved the neighborhood and the other shops but please don't stop in this place.

We bought some pastries. They were dry and with very little filling inside.

Don’t waste your money , I have went there with my family , I really was excited to go to another buffet with more different options , however we tried to give this place a try biggest mistake , not only are we placed in the closest table nearest to the door which in this weather it’s annoying how each second the doors open the breeze would get to us , but also one of the ladies that kept refilling the bowls of food coughed on my plate , went to sit down processed what has just happened didn’t eat a single thing left , they just took my money and gave the work service you could imagine. Don’t waste your money I recommend a place where there are more options and a variety of delicious meals

Food choices very limited. Restaurant felt cold. As we were leaving, a quarell broke out between a customer and a member of staff, culminating in with a bottle of vodka (?) being thrown. An entertaining, if not nutritionally satisfying, experience!

1 star because its not possibile to give 0 stars. Right after we arrived they asked us money and because of our kinda bad english they tried to steal money from us. Moreover, they only accept cash. They were really mean with us and the food is cold, and it tasted like it was cooked the day before. In addiction, the fried food was really anointed. From one of the walls comes out cold air and the cracks are "fixed" with scotch. in general the environment is not welcoming at all. Would not recommend.

Well, worst food I have ever eaten in my life. Food was disgusting, I’m so sorry I’m saying this way, we just entered and they said each person £15 and they took only cash they took money first cause they knew nobody will pay once they had their food. I’m feeling sick now after eating.

They left us wanting both their food and their waiters, on top of us while we ate and terrible food since we ended up vomiting. This place needs a health inspection. All the best.

No sé qué esperan estas personas que le otorgaron una estrella a este restaurante. Todos estos buffets solo en efectivo / por adelantado son mucho. Ésta servía las cosas de siempre: alitas de pollo, carne de res en salsa negra, -que era muy picante- pollo agridulce, etc. . . Era razonable. ¿Qué espera la gente por 15 libras en el West End? El personal no era grosero, un poco brusco, pero eso es probablemente una cosa cultural. Me molestó un poco que no sirvieran sopa o postre, pero hay una pastelería adjunta.

Pretty awful experience overall. Food was ok tasting, but that’s as good as it gets. The food was luke warm, not hot. The staff were rude and tried to force us to pay for our three year old who wasn’t eating, they made us pay before eating and gave us one plate to use throughout the buffet. The rude staff member stood over my son’s shoulder making sure he didn’t eat anything during most of the meal and the restaurant was freezing cold with smoke from staff smoking blowing in through the back door. Awful experience and I won’t return.

It’s difficult to find the words to describe my meal in this buffet… The buffet is absolutely not worth the price. For the chicken, be careful for my part, the meat was still raw. To avoid getting sick avoid tasting all the dishes even if your stomach is strong. Staff who kicked us out and left the entrance doors open resulted in 10 degrees in the restaurant to ruin everything. Go your way! PS: it was my birthday meal my girlfriend obviously has no taste

[This review was posted Sep2022. I just added star ratings] Bought a char sui (pork) bun and it was empty. 😭 Went back later in the evening as I was in Chinatown for dinner. Let the shop owner see the empty bun and she was so apologetic. Let me have a replacement item (char sui buns out). 👍

Really wanted to not hate this place, food tasted like an average Chinese takeaway but when we got home later that evening my partner started throwing up and ended up sitting by the toilet for an hour, vomiting everything out. It's also worth considering that this place has a 1 star hygiene rating before choosing to dine here.

Visited recently; the food was enjoyable, but the experience felt rushed due to the staff in the small shop.

Absolutely horrible, food closer to a school canteen than an all-you-can-eat restaurant, horrible owners and waitresses who remind us of the army, for 2 people £36 and not even desserts, with only 10-11 foods allowed which choose to eat! A shame

Quite tasty and cheap, you can put it on and eat it to go for £8, tasty pasta and seasoned meat, I recommend it. The downside is paying in cash

Went on Christmas day. Price was very steep, £11 per container to takeaway and it was cash only. There was a nice lady who advised it wasn’t halal so I got items suitable for vegetarians. I’ve been once previously and the noodles were so good but unfortunately the food wasn’t great this time round.

Take away box is really good potions are big and tastes nice, saved us in Christmas, other Chinese restaurants were charging double in Christmas...

Go your way, the dishes are not good. Some are cold, there is no choice, it is not worthy of a buffet, especially at this price I will find you better in the neighborhood!!

It's not good utensils used for multiple foods if you have a allergy you're in trouble all the food tastes like it has been cooked in a tub of salt my watch nearly blew up my blood pressure went up so high from the salt content I wouldn't come back

(12/2023) Terrible service, they only charge cash and if you don't have anything they tell you to wait outside until you get out of the ATM because they charge you as soon as you arrive. Edit: (12/2024) After a year they improved considerably, good quality of food, but you have to wait a while to be served at the bar.

Avoid. Food too salty and just not tasty. Hygiene level questionable. Cash only. I do advise you to take your money somewhere else.

Evitar a toda costa. Fuimos por el servicio de cena (solo en efectivo, eso está bien). Necesitábamos un descanso antes de conseguir otro plato. Después del primer plato vinieron y nos quitaron los platos y nos apresuraron a salir por la puerta diciendo que necesitaban la mesa y se quedaron allí hablando tonterías hasta que nos fuimos. Una mesa de 4 plazas junto a nosotros embistieron a 6 personas en, no había espacio! También agarré un pastel de pandan que era asqueroso. Suelo comprar en la panadería de la ciudad china y tampoco recomendaría sus pasteles. Absolutamente horrible servicio. La comida tenía huesos y era repugnante y cocinado en exceso.

The place was Petao and the food was delicious for the price you pay and if you order tap water you don't even spend money on drinking. You can only pay in cash, yes. The place is small and they put you where they want, I saw some people at the door who were getting cold from the people coming in. When we arrived at this restaurant, we had the impression of being in the army. The boss is super cold. The food is really not great for the price, plus you have to pay in cash so nothing is declared. We had a stomach ache the same evening, probably due to the not fresh produce. TO RUN AWAY!!!!

Military reception, you have to pay in cash beforehand, and "disgusting" cooking to remain polite, the dishes are tasteless or super spicy or cold. Food was okishh. The main course was below par. The shop is run by some rude staff. One elderly staff member was always around and asking us whether we were done or not, which was a bit annoying. She was asking us to put the food waste in tray. I felt it was ok but was kind of somebody watching us while we ate. It's not definitely worth the 15 pounds paid per person.

Delicious food, especially pork. I expected much lower quality from the buffet, but everything was fresh and good. You pay once and eat as much as you want, I recommend it. You can order free tap water to drink. Payment only in cash.

Visitó durante medio término alrededor de las 7 pm, así que estaba muy ocupado. El interior es muy básico, pero estaba limpio y las mesas son bastante estrechas y muy juntas. Nos dijeron que era dinero en efectivo solo antes de sentarnos y luego nos pidieron que pagáramos antes de comer. La comida era deliciosa y todo caliente y fresco con una buena selección de platos y guarniciones. Era muy buena relación calidad-precio en comparación con otros restaurantes “más elegantes” de la zona. Volveríamos y comeríamos aquí de nuevo, anteriormente íbamos normalmente a Wong Kei, pero desde su caída en los estándares de higiene necesitábamos encontrar otro lugar. Todos estamos contentos de haber elegido Kowloon.

Chinese restaurant, tastes delicious and you can eat as much as you want, the main thing is that there is nothing left on your plate except bones 😁 I was even able to pay in euros, the main thing was cash. 20 € per person, in bar for food and drink cola or water No credit card

Expect very little customer service, but very good bakery. Cash only establishment and grumpy staff but highly recommend the red bean puffs, dough sticks and egg tarts.

Food was lovely just wish they had a bigger premises as it was rather cramped. Having to get to the buffet whilst passing queuing guests to the restaurant wasn’t ideal. Staff did seem abit rude but I think this was due to being ridiculously busy, not enough staff members so I shall let them off. The owner came round to tell us to put our bags under our table rather then back of chair due to thrives in the area - there are signs all around china town warning you about this. Overall I would go again

Came here for the buffet and really enjoyed it!!! For only £15 it’s absolutely great! The cookies in particular are great and so is the sweet and sour chicken.

Chinese buffets are an institution in the UK. If you fancy cheap and cheerful then this is the place to go. Kowloon will provide excessive amounts of all the classic Chinese takeaway dishes. The whole point of buffets are you eat too much food… you have a bit of a sore stomach afterwards from too much greasy food… and wash it down with a beer. Overall Kowloon is good value for what you get. The staff were friendly, and recently refurbished clean toilets. As an aside, definitely recommend a visit to the bakery next door as lots of interesting treats.

For a cheap TAKEOUT option this is fab. £8 - you fill a typical Chinese takeout size plastic tub with anything from the ‘all you can eat Buffett’. Small-ish selection compared to the large resturant buffets, but for a take out it’s great. We then walked 3 minutes to Leister Square & ate in the park - much calmer… However - for £15 you can sit inside the resturant & have ‘as much as you can eat’… I overheard heard many complaints at the buffet; - from the seating space to attitude of staff to how limited the small buffet was… But as I said above - we did takeout & it was a tasty cheap option. Would do this again. Cash only… No wheelchair access.

No customer service, the woman serving was rude and didn't want to explain what was in the pastry, and the woman at the till told me to 'hurry up already' when I was collecting my change despite me having patiently waited for her to change up the money. The food was thrown into 1 bag so it was squashed and it was delicate pastry. Wouldn't go back. The food was overly oily and nothing special.

I visited that place yesterday and it was terrible. The service was awful, the staff were rude, and they didn't even provide toilet paper without being asked. On top of that, the food was tasteless and overpriced. I strongly do not recommend this place at all.

Pushy staff ,cramped seating ,restaurant isn't clean by restaurant standards ,I myself my 13 Yr old daughter and 10 year old grandchild ate ,my wife chose not to ,all three of us who ate ,were violently sick the following day ,the staff are rude and very abrupt ,pushing you to pay ,you pay before you eat ,so any complaints would not gain you anything ,,in a nut shell ,just avoid the place.

Our experience there was highly disappointing. Dont visit this restarurnat. For £15, I found the food to be lacking in both taste and quality. The staff were rude and unapproachable, which further marred the dining experience. I genuinely believe this restaurant does not meet acceptable standards, and I would rate it a 0 if possible. I have already contacted the council regarding this matter, as I feel this establishment should be reviewed thoroughly. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant, as it is not worth the expense or the poor service.

I don't get why this place is getting such hate, but I came here just by chance and my family and I loved it. It's true that they have little options to eat, but it's great.

Both the treatment and the place are to be forgotten. Bad manners, they yelled at those next door for asking for a table of four to sit with their children and there was plenty. Shabby space, poor hygiene and low quality food, not to mention the waitress who ate in front of us and when finished cleaned her teeth right there.

I went there today on the 20-08-24. I have metal in my food 2 pieces of metal been found in my food. Told the later and she was telling me some next lie it's the other company that does the food and all sort of lie I ask for a refund and she told me I have to leave. Got the refund wouldn't even let me finish my food I want put a complaint about that what's the best way to get these Restaurant to closed down so it doesn't happen to other people imagine a kid would eat that metal. Need help to get this sorted And ready to get the best lawyer to resolved this as I've been basically got kick out for having metal found in my food 🙃

I thought this was only a pastry shop...then when entering, I was intrigued to see food being served I only wanted pastries, and a cup of tea to take away, everything absolutely fine I will return to try the hot Chinese meals. A Chinese restaurant with an open buffet and a bakery from Fuzuli. British tourists in particular come to take pictures in front of the bakery itself. For value for money, convenience and tastiness I'd give them 5 stars. Absolutely one of my favourite places to eat in London. The meals were nice and hot, seriously delicious and very good value. I'm always looking forward to the next visit. An authentic Asian dining experience. The staff are great.

No frills, freshly cooked, wide range of dishes. Yes, it’s more a cafe than a restaurant. But at £15 a head, it’s decent, good value food. And they don’t rip you off for drinks. If you want fancy dining then go elsewhere. It’s a winner for me.

If I could rate this restaurant a 0 I would. We only wanted to see what food was available as it wasn't clear in the window. We were then peer pressured to sit and pay cash only immediately. As soon as we paid they stopped hounding us and didn't even give us glasses for our drinks. The establishment was grubby patchy paint work with spots of mould on the ceiling and walls. Why we didn't run out I have not a clue. Service was horrendous, with the place being cleaned down with bleach as if it was a crime scene. We were served with a woman with bleach soaked rubber gloves. Value for money was awful there was about 5 dishes to choose from and if you wasted any food you'd be charged extra. (Luckily we didn't eat much because I was scared of food poisoning). Your possessions were also likely to be stolen and the establishment would not support you if you were robbed in their restaurant. On the plus side a great story to laugh about that we went to the worst restaurant in China Town

Food was delicious. The waitress was very pushy and wanted us to order as soon as we sat down. Then proceeded to watch us continuously as we tried to enjoy our food. We felt rushed which is why i am leaving an overall 3 stars. However i recommend the food as it was amazing. I would return for the food. The front of house lady was very nice.

Had a buffet here good Friday and I can honestly say it was delicious and the service was good... Plenty of choice and it was very reasonable 🙂

I felt uncomfortable eating here, staff staring at you that feels like you have to finish your food fast. I mean there’s a lot of free tables! I would eat fast if I see it’s crowded but it’s clearly not. She was also picking fights with other customers. Food was great though just don’t like the customer service

Plenty of choice in China Town BUT this is our go to place Staff friendly and attentive. The food tasty, fresh and hot not greasy and soggy. They did not charge for my 12 year old son as was not eating they even gave him 2 fortune cookies. They don't screw you with the drinks prices either all round a good experience as always. 😁👍

The food is fine with the cakes and buns with the coconut and sweet sugar bun however staff seem deceptively friendly at first, but as time goes on, the staff reveal their true nature being extemely rude and blunt in treating customers and it seems generally towards a lot of people who just go inside, I dont know their old ways etiquette if you expect super fast payment or whatever, but in the old world style to rush customers to quickly pay even when no one is inside, its just very rude. I felt quite offended on rushing customers out leaving bitter feeling on what was said generally in cantonese. I wont be going back anytime soon here. Avoid!
