Four Seasons in City of London, Westminster

Food was reasonable. But was put off by the manager when I asked to waive the discretionary service charges, he answered me rudely “why do you wanna waive it” 🤬🤬🤬

Food was cold. Then they microwaved it. It was still cold.🙂

Famous for the roast duck but they have an extensive menu (try the Sichuanese dishes from the special menu) and prompt, efficient service. We have been eating here or getting take away duck for many years and have never been disappointed. In the quieter hours, there's even some friendly banter from the staff.

Used to frequent Four Seasons for their roastduck as they are one of the best in town. However, this time round, it is disappointing, the duck wasnt even crispy and not flavourful - the flavours were all from the soysauce that the roast duck was drenched in. I wouldn't recommend this place for roast duck now.

Came over from the usa to visit London, we wanted to try this restaurant and when we entered the guy behind the front desk said we don't like black people please leave I have never had such a racist encounter in my life in the us or uk. Please avoid at all costs.

Very accommodating to get 20 of us in and sat down on a busy Friday night! Food was excellent and customer service was great too! I’d definitely recommend going there again

Very small place with pretty good food! We ordered half a Boneless Lacquered Duck (not the Pekin), quite good, but for us a little cold. Very good flavor, with a sweet touch. To accompany the rice and egg and with both dishes, we were quite satisfied to then have some dessert in Chinatown. Priced like everything in London, quite expensive. The service was good and very friendly, but the place was quite small and narrow. There are usually queues outside!

Staff were quite nice, which is surprising for the area. Reasonably priced and decent quality: we had the below for the three of us and had lots left over for the doggy bag :) Barbecued Pork Chilli oil Pork dumplings (spicy!) Garlic duck House special fried noodles Egg fried rice

The duck is amazing and the option to remove bones just blows everything out of the water. Please use plastic containers for the duck though, these paper ones weren't made for the Four Seasons! Lamb stew with tofu aint bad either

Bought soya chicken for takeaway, had to steam it again as meat still pink ,not properly cooked .Expensive and still has work to do

Used to come here a lot in the past but was disappointed with the BBQ pork on rice. BBQ pork (char siu) was dry. Also, too much rice for BBQ meat on rice. Not as good as it used to be. I wouldn't say it's good value for money.

Very unprofessional! I ordered three different types of meat with rice however I was given two completely different types of meat instead!!!!

Yummy food and quick service. We got the pork and duck combo dish and the sauce on top was delicious, I could have had just the sauce with rice and been happy! It's a little pricey but I think it's still worth it.

A popular place for roasted duck in London. They now have 2 shops in Chinatown, London on top of the original shop in Bayswater, London. The quality can match those popular roasted duck in Hong Kong. Tender and juicy. They offer many other tasty dishes too. Queue is expected during typical meal hours. Try to avoid these times if you don't want to queue for a meal.

Recommended place for Cantonese dish. Had the roasted duck, char siew and siu yok(roasted pork) rice. Roasted duck is awesome and juicy, even with the breast part. Their Chinese dishes like the spicy beef is also must-try

Nos lo recomendaron a pesar de la puntuación en google maps. Platos abundantes. El arroz que pedimos estaba muy rico. El pato cantones también. Pero lo que más nos sorprendió fue la sopa picante ESPECTACULAR. Precio unos 25 libras por persona.

Always visit this place when we return to London as we love their duck. I remember my daughter ate almost half of the duck and my husband didn’t get to taste much of it. We had to return the next day. Not disappointed as the duck is really fatty.

We came around 10.30 and we order the roasted duck and the soup. Both of them are delicious The portion are big We definitely will come back to try other menu

Good food but beware of the waiters, they try a few tricks to get you to spend more money.

There are 3 restaurants in China town. This one always seems to be the least busy and service is fast and friendly. And of course the food is great at all.

My food was half cold and half warm, obviously the food has been just heated up and slapped on a plate. Very cramped. My local Chinese shop in croydon sells better food for half the price. :(

"terrible experience. 16pounds received only three thin slices each of char siu and roast duck. When I complained in person, I was almost assaulted. Since there was no response when we complain on Uber eat and no one answered our calls, we went to their restaurant to seek compensation or resolution. The waiter was extremely rude, blamed us for having bad attitudes, accused us of causing trouble without reason, and even threatened to fight us.

A pleasant surprise. I was immediately shown to table and was pleased to see that the restaurant was filled with Asian people, a good sign. The food was delicious and came quickly. I will definitely go back. Evidently they are under new management and are doing a great job.

Best duck , best pork I love it

Came here for a dinner while visiting London. Having grown up Boston Chinatown and then have frequent travels to Hong Kong and Singapore, I developed a love for Cantonese style Chinese food. And this place seemed to fit the classic Cantonese style restaurant (has the BBQ meats hanging by the storefront window). We tried the three classic Cantonese BBQ meats, Char Sui Pork (lean meat), Roast Pork/Roast Pig (pork belly with crispy skin), and Roast Duck. We were not disappointed, the food was great. The service was polite, but average. The restaurant was a bit, cramp, but typical, just like other restaurants of this kind in large cities where space is minimum.

Very surprised that we have Hong Kong tasted roasted pork with a reasonable portion that we have ever had in UK, fried beef rice was exceptional yummy as Hong Kong style, hot pot pork stomach and chicken with black pepper was delicious, I will definitely introduce to my friend and come again. Everything was just liked Hong Kong style.

This is one of my favorite restaurant in london. Every time I visit london I eat here at least twice!

Server was SOOOOO disrespectful, asked for a simple change of menu items and got a reply of if you don't like it don't eat. When I was paying, wanted to pay cash and the same lady just threw the bill tray at me, and the change was just thrown on the table. Such a bad experience!

The roast Cantonese style duck never disappoints! The pork belly was also very good.

When I went to the boss and told him he claimed that I was swearing instead he came out and started to swearing In front of all the customers,is this the kind of service you receive for telling them that your wife got sick with the sauce!!!if my wife gets more sick I will have to call the lawyers as the food that was given was not what we asked for !!nor the boss can speak English to give us proper explanation isntead he was rude arrogant!!Hell of an experience!!!!!!!!

Came here for the good reviews on the duck that my husband wanted - it was good but smallish portion & quite pricey. I had chicken noodles that was also nice, bit oily. We visited with our baby who was very well behaved…they seemed annoyed when we walked in with our pram (foldable and small) & then they brought the bill to our table without us asking while we were still eating which I found incredibly rude (assuming cause of baby..?). And they added service charge is also ridiculous. Didn’t enjoy the energy there, very tense .

Came here on a Friday night for whole roast duck, egg fried rice, and choy sum. Food was great, and staff were attentive. Will visit again.

Came here during a visit to London to mark my Birthday. We noticed that everyone else in the restaurant (café) was Chinese and this gave us the confidence that we were going to get as authentic experience as possible in UK. and we weren't disappointed. We both agreed that it was the best Chinese food we had ever eaten. Stand-out dish - fillet steak in Cantonese sauce.

the best roast duck in China town !

Came here for lunch as I used to love this place for their roasted duck 10+ years ago when I was living in London. We ordered their Cantonese roasted duck and their 3 combination of meats but were quite disappointed. The duck / other meats were not up to the standard that I used to remember - just short of mediocre. Furthermore, the price of the meal was absurd - we even got charged a "discretionary service charge" which we didn't even know about. It was a sad experience and I don't think I'll be coming here again. :(

Crispy pork belly and bar b q pork are the best. My kids also like yeung chow fried rice.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. My family and I were unceremoniously kicked out just because our baby was crying. The staff's insensitivity and lack of understanding towards families with young children was appalling. Not only did they ruin our evening, but they also displayed a complete lack of empathy. I would strongly advise against dining at this restaurant if you're looking for a welcoming and accommodating environment.

Sometimes a long lineup is not an indicator of the quality! I was craving for a Peking Duck and made a wrong assumption that a long queue on a Friday afternoon signified the quality of food but I was seriously disappointed. Ordered half a duck: prompt service, but it was a pale version of what it was supposed to be. It was the opposite of crispy, well cured Pecking Duck; the accompanying sauce was diluted and tasted more like a sweet vinegar. Rice was also just ok. Not worth it.

DO NOT GO HERE. VERY RUDE STAFF AND OVERPRICED. We were placed on a table near an open kitchen where there were flies and served by someone still wearing rubber gloves that they used for cleaning the area, they handled our food with these on as well. One of the dishes we ordered was black pepper beef but we were given beef in black bean sauce, but they insisted it was black pepper beef. After our meal, I politely asked if the £4 OPTIONAL service charge could be removed from the bill and the man started to be very rude and aggressive. He said I should not go to any restaurants and should have eaten on the street. I politely said that I had paid for our food but as a paying customer it’s my choice whether I want to include service charge or not. Very hostile staff and unsanitary environment. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially when there are many better restaurants nearby.

Feels like a scam as I ordered peking duck but it is just a normal duck. A bigger scam when i asked to waived off the OPTIONAL service charge as i felt service is nt very good but the old uncle (rick) scolded me instead and force me to pay it. I definitely dont recommend it, go to the other branches like the golden dragon or golden mine. Trust me :)

Scam on point, calling it a pekking duck when is not even crispy at all. Pure disappointment and thus, opted not to pay for service charge but was forced to pay in the end. Scam of the year.

Small unassuming place with good food. Good for those who like English-style Chinese food and those who like proper Chinese food. The barbeque meats are great!

Food was pretty disappointing for my visit in July 2023. Was expecting a good Chinese meal which i had with Four Seasons back in 2014 but i guess the standard must have dropped quite a fair bit (duck was still alright and they helped to debone, but the charsiew tasted dry while the roasted pork was overly oily). Service staff was generally friendly but missed out some of our requests. Also, the "discretionary" service charge wasn't optional at all. Location was good as it was almost at the entrance of Chinatown and pretty near to train station, which makes us wonder what other better food options are there.

Came here for birthday meal. We had spring rolls, crispy duck and Peking ribs to share. And we ordered roast duck with peppers and egg fried rice. Lemon chicken with steamed rice One Singapore vermicilli noodles And one mixed seafood noodles Food prepared quickly and tastes good Staff friendly. I really do recommend this place

Food was so good and very generous portions. However, not a place you go to for ambiance, customer service or interiors. You literally eat and go. The place could do with an interiors refresh and tidy up.

Do not recommend. Food is nice, but service is awfully terrible. We ordered a big kettle of tea - it was served with two cups - and when we ordered additional cup to share it with another person - there was additional price added to the Check. So basically we paid same amount as for the whole tea - but for empty cup (!!!).

I expected to wait in a line to get in, but on Sunday at 2PM the place was half empty. The staff is indeed not very chatty. The duck with rice was alright, quite moist, and I expected the skin to be more crispy. The price was around 13GBP, decent for a lunch in London.

The roast duck is out of this world...it's a must get!

I went there with my family who came to visiting, the food was good but you can also find it at any Chinese restaurant. Service was so awful very rude the way of welcoming, taking orders. I just feels like we shouldn’t support this kind of service!
