Very tasty duck and pasta, that's why we came here. Yes, the renovation and furniture are old, but it doesn't affect the taste.

Delicioso, cada plato en este espacio simple - hicimos cola en el frío, pero estábamos satisfechos con las comidas, incluyendo plato vegano vegetariano. Muy buen pato aromático crujiente, plato de cerdo barbacoa, cerdo agridulce ( un poco avinagrado para mí ) deliciosa cebolla de jengibre de langostino - gambas dulces suaves. Recomiendo. ¡Ni idea de lo poco que 4 estaciones al lado es!

Great service, speedy, would recommend rice bowl with combination of different meats

Hole in the wall but full of Chinese people which is always a great sign . The portions are also very big. We had a special request for pork yee mein that wasn't on the menu, which was excellent and was very big. The kids also enjoyed the Peking duck . Hot and sour soup also has fresh red peppers and lots of bamboo shoots, tofu and even small shrimp.

You can argue about the ambience, but it's London and China Town, so everything is a bit cramped, but authentic. We were served in a friendly manner, the waitress even pointed out that the portion might be too big for my daughter! And she told the kids several times that the noodles in her dish were crispy, whether they wanted it that way. In the end, the food was ready really quickly, my son even ordered more spring rolls because they were so delicious. I had fried tofu 🤤 and it was soooo good. Unfortunately I don't have any photos, but our plates were tasty and the fact that they charge a service fee is just like our tip.

First off, don't expect good customer service at these places, Chinese restaurants are well known for abysmal service - it's all about the food only. In that regard, i was happy with my 3-meat combo on rice, it did the job!

Great atmosphere in this authentic, old-fashioned chinese spot right in the middle of London Chinatown. I appreciated both the boldness of the flavours and the presentation of the dishes. Also, the service was fast and the bill not so expensive considering the area.

Driest barbecue pork I’ve ever had. Tasted like those horrible take away food. Can’t believe people are queuing for this restaurant at weekend. Come during weekday and the quality of their dishes will shock you. Golden dragon is a much better place to go to.

We were looking forward to the famous duck at the Four Seasons and ordered a whole duck for four people. However, what we were served was an absolute disgrace. Instead of the stylishly presented duck as shown in pictures in the Google reviews - served whole and on prawn chips - we got something completely different: the duck was completely shredded, as if someone had pre-chewed it. The pictures from the reviews only make me angrier as they promise something that doesn't seem to be delivered. My pictures show the served condition - we did not touch the plate before taking the photo. The service just made the experience worse. We were told that we only had the table available for one hour as it had already been reserved. Such behavior is not only rude, but made us feel like we weren't welcome there. In terms of taste, the duck was also a disappointment: far dry and anything but tasty. If I had known beforehand what to expect, I would have left immediately. This was by far the worst dining experience of my life. Absolutely not recommended, at least based on what we experienced there.

Absolutely deplorable moment! We blamed ourselves for having been fooled to this extent. The (industrial) dishes follow one another without giving us time to breathe, once the meal is finished the bill is thrown at us and we are clearly made to feel that we have to leave. We ate in a corner of the room facing the wall, the boss yells all the time, the music is loud... Move on, there's nothing to catch up on. They supposedly make the best duck...anything! The restaurant is expensive for poor quality and to top it off my partner was sick!

We ordered the roast duck, crispy pork belly, greens and fried rice and loved everything! The duck was so juicy, tender and full of flavour. The pork had the crispiest skin which paired so well with the mustard. Would 100% be back.

Just came here because we were in a hurry and must restaurants had long queues. First impressions were not the best, we were sat in the basement. But that doesn’t matter if the food is really good. We then proceeded to order and found that the menu only had a limited amount of dishes, many of which are heavily westernised. Although the chef’s recommended menu looked promising. 手撕包菜 was good and authentic, and 铁板牛柳 was good as well. However, 麻婆豆腐 was not flavoured and far from authentic with no spice, and 北京烤鸭 tasted like it was a frozen one which you can buy in Chinese supermarkets, with bad meat texture, but we paid £20 for a half duck! Ridiculous! This place is also very overpriced, for example, charging £3.50 for a bowl of rice alone, excluding service charge. There are definitely many better restaurants in Chinatown serving better food and more reasonable prices. We paid £35 per person in the end 😭

Went here with my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. Was told that I need to be quick ordering (after being sat for 5 minutes) as they needed the table back for other guests which ruined the atmosphere for us. The food was mediocre… wasn’t very hot…bland and the sweet and sour pork was extremely chewy. We asked to take the service charge off and a member of staff told us no as it was their salary, which is unacceptable as the service charge is discretionary. Overall a very disappointing experience as when we visited a year ago it was the polar opposite.

A very traditional Cantonese cuisine, I ordered the combo of crispy belly, barbecued pork and roasted duck combo and the portion was perfect for me, it was very delicious and the environment was excellent, as a native Chinese, I will definitely come back and eat this again!

Food reasonable. Certainly not great, but tasty enough. Laughably bad service, no atmosphere, and a little overpriced. This place has maintained a 1990s ambience and cooking standard but with 21st century prices. Roast duck, their USP, had decent flavour, but was flabby and totally forgettable. Won't be coming back.

The restaurant is in Chinatown but a bit off the main road, which means it's cheaper and less commercial and pretentious. Hence recommended.

There are two Wenxing restaurants in China town, and this is one of them. There is a long queue at the door every day, especially on weekends and holidays. The boss is also very good. After operating in the UK for many years, he returned to China to open a store. I have eaten there once in Hangzhou before and had a good impression. The Hangzhou store is very good in terms of taste, service and decoration. Maybe because there is no lack of business in London, the overall quality is not as good as the domestic restaurants. It is a normal Chinese food level. However, if you want to eat Chinese food after being in London for a long time, you can still eat it to satisfy your craving temporarily.

I recently dined at Four Seasons on Wardour Street in London’s Chinatown and had a disappointing experience. The food arrived almost immediately, which was surprising. The pork dish was cold upon arrival; after notifying the staff, they reheated it and returned it to our table. The ribs were so tough that they were nearly impossible to eat. As one of the few non-Asian customers, we were given cutlery without being asked, while the other tables, occupied by Asian patrons, were provided with chopsticks. This disparity felt odd, as it seemed that only Asian customers were automatically given chopsticks. Additionally, the waitstaff were snacking near our table and noisily smashing plates as they organized them at their station. We requested the bill and asked to have our remaining food packed to take away, intending to finish our wine. However, just two minutes after we paid, the waiters stood nearby, staring at us, and then the manager, Ivan, approached to ask us to leave because there was a queue waiting outside. Overall, the combination of subpar food quality, inattentive service, and the unwelcoming atmosphere left much to be desired.

Sorry that I have to give 2 stars. Food was decent and price was reasonable given it's Chinatown in London. Staff was generally friendly too. The guy with glasses at the counter and the young waiter are friendly and helpful. But what made me give 2 stars was because I felt like I was constantly being pressured to finish my food quickly so others can take my seat. I ordered the triple meat rice plus a big bowl of soup and I was only halfway through eating when the manager asked me if I am done eating. Obviously I am not, half of the plate is still full and it was barely 20 mins since the food came. Another 15 minutes, I was about to finish my food and the same manager asked again if I am still eating. I felt so pressurized I gobled up the last pieces of food until I felt so bloated. Then the staff were so quick to clear my plate and hand me the cheque, obviously just wanting to chase me out so they can get more customers in. To be clear, there were other diners seated before me and did not seem to experience the treatment from the staff. I checked and I dined for a total of 40 minutes which is reasonable. Maybe it is because I was eating alone, but I was sitting at a small table by myself. I even checked that there were empty tables in the basement so I don't understand this behavior at all. Seems like they value customer turnover and profit more than the comfort of their customers. Not to mention this was a birthday dinner I treated myself too but felt like I was eating on a timebomb. Will not be coming back here

Ridiculously expensive, four people, did not order much (nothing left over), nothing exceptional and no alcohol and £160! Food good but not great- not worth it

While visiting London we decided to stop in China Town. After reading that Four Seasons was one of the best in the area we decided to give it a try. We shared the Roasted Peking Duck. It was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. I would definitely visit again!

Jan 2024 review. The food wasn’t bad, but nothing really stood out either. The duck, which I was really looking forward to, ended up being a bit dry, which was disappointing. The seating arrangement is also pretty tight, so it felt a little cramped, especially during busier times. I wouldn’t rush back, but it might be worth a try if you’re in the area and curious.

Great taste and super hearty food for a winter day

3.5/5 Service and atmosphere here is as expected for Chinatown. We had one server who was very friendly and making jokes but for the most part, the waiters are typical of the area; efficient but not so friendly. We queued for about 25 minutes. The food was a little hit and miss - the roast meats were perfectly cooked. The duck was juicy and fatty. Char siu was one of the best I’ve had in a while and pork belly also great. However, the dried beef ho fun and the dumplings were disappointing. The noodles weren’t the classic wide flat noodles typically used in restaurants and the dish was underseasoned (the colour was off). The dumplings as well were soggy and not crispy as expected for potstickers. Flavour was nice though. Would definitely still come back for the roast meats despite this.

Came here because of influencers and never again will I listen to them. I thought the meal was nice especially with rude, blunt staff. An hour later the world fell out of me. Do not eat here.

I have been here many times and I used to like this place but today I had the worst experience, especially in terms of quality of the food. The noodle soup was full of sticky noodles(too many and merged in a single ball) and no flavour at all! Same for the duck and the noodles, we had to use some soy sauce for made them eatable. And be aware to order something fried that it is almost impossible to digest.

The staff is soooooooooo rude. A suggestion here, u should gv a notice about “ customer should pay £12 per person” and not just told us after we ordered. As a tourist，this is the most worst experience between this few days. Butt after seeing so many bad reviews here, Im relieved🫢

Today was my first visit to this restaurant after my colleague recommended it, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. The food and service were disappointingly poor, and the receptionist was quite rude just because I didn’t understand what he was saying! He really needs to learn how to communicate with people respectfully instead of being unkind! I won’t be coming back again.

This was an incredible meal, no fuss just really good Chinese food that came out super quick and was hot and fresh, great portion sizes as well. Recommend the Crispy Chilli Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Egg Fried Rice. Also the server Tommy was incredibly sweet to us, and everyone else around us too! Will come back here in a heartbeat - loved it.

I ordered the house special crispy noodles and it was superb! Also ordered peking duck but it was my first time tasting it so i have no expertise to give as a feedback. I was seated quickly and the service was awesome! If u want the traditional old chinese restaurant vibes, this place has it.

Pretty bad!! Toilets were in a state - sanitary bin with no lid, no soap for anyone to wash their hands... We ordered duck and it was cold in the middle. The waitress apologised and microwaved it for us. The one positive thing I can say is the staff seemed nice and friendly. But overall, it was an extremely run down place. Will not be returning.

Been there 5 years ago.... Food then had flavour and was hot when brought to the table...today...it was very much of disappointment... Tasted like 4 days old duck, pork belly was flavourless... While the food was decent, the service was absolutely appalling. From the moment we arrived, the short haired middle aged waitress displayed a rude and dismissive demeanor. Rather than taking our orders at the table, she stood at the till, expecting us to shout our requests across the restaurant. When our drinks finally arrived, she slammed them onto the table, treating us as if we were an inconvenience. The worst part was when I asked for cutlery after dropping my chopsticks. She didn’t know I had dropped them and laughed mockingly because I hadn’t accepted a fork earlier when she offered it to my friend and me. Her reaction was humiliating and completely unprofessional. Her attitude made it impossible to enjoy our meal, and I left feeling unwelcome and frustrated. I can’t understand how a restaurant can employ someone who clearly lacks basic customer service skills. I will not be returning.

We went there on a Sunday to dine in, and from the moment we arrived, it was a disaster. The guy at the door, who is supposedly the manager, was shockingly rude and mean. He told us, if we wanted to eat outside, we’d have to pay first—which is fine, but we hadn't even decided what to order yet. When we asked to sit inside because we might want to order more, he glared at us and, in the most condescending and hostile tone imaginable, told us to either pay and sit outside or stand around for 20–30 minutes. The place was practically empty, yet he still made us wait! To make things even worse, while we waited, he let in people who arrived after us, for absolutely no reason other than to make us feel unwanted. When he finally walked away, another staff member noticed us standing around and seated us immediately. Inside, almost all the tables were empty! This guy had us standing outside for absolutely nothing. It’s like he took some twisted pleasure in making us wait. Honestly, it felt like he was judging us based on how we looked and decided he didn’t want us there. The level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was shocking. I’ve never been so disappointed to be treated this way when I just wanted a meal. Unbelievable.

Four Seasons offers delicious food and friendly staff. We ordered roast duck, stir-fried pak choi, beef fried rice, salt and pepper soft shell crab, BBQ pork, and stir-fried prawns with vegetables. Everything was absolutely delicious!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible from the moment we walked in, with one of the waitresses displaying a rude and unprofessional attitude throughout the evening. When I asked to remove the service charge, as I felt the service did not meet any acceptable standard, I was met with hostility. One of the staff members repeatedly questioned me in an aggressive manner, asking why I wanted to cancel the service fee. I explained that there was simply no service provided, and the manager responded dismissively, stating that just bringing the food to the table counts as “service.” To make matters worse, the same rude waitress loudly pointed at me and shouted, for the entire restaurant to hear, that I had refused to pay the service fee during a previous visit. This was a blatant lie, as it was my first time dining at this establishment. I felt publicly humiliated and disrespected. This was an incredibly uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who values good service or respect as a customer.

So bad service, the duck came shredded, when I asked why you shredded it the manager James said you should tell us not to, I said no one told us it’s shredded and the picture was whole, he said I cant do anything and I will throw it in bin!!!

I have been coming to your restaurant several times a year for more than a decade. Over the last year the duck portion has become smaller and smaller. I always take half the portion home to have as dinner which is why I order half. Yesterday was an absolute joke. I had no more than 6 pieces of duck and only 2 middle parts. This didn’t even fill me up let alone taking anything away with me. I may only come several times a year but each time I spend over £100. Unfortunately i be looking at trying somewhere else for the future.

Food was poor, tasted like cooked Yesterday, we did not eat up all. Duck was okay. Service not very kind, discretionary service charge was added automaticly, no "thanks" or "good bye".

Very picturesque place with the typical counter hanging the lacquered ducks, and a very cozy small terrace with the possibility of eating inside or outside. Prices according to the quality and quantity they serve. With a very extensive and varied menu for all tastes and pockets. service was absolutely appalling. I visited the chinatown branch this week and will never be going back. the staff were incredibly rude. i was screamed at by waiters when i wanted to order more food, ignored repeatedly by waiters who just walked straight past me multiple times when i wanted to ask for water (they saw me). overall was treated horrible which is unacceptable as a paying customer. all i was offered was a few free lollipops as an apology. absolute joke. i wouldn’t recommend this restaurant especially if you are black.

First time visiting this branch having been to bang-bang in Colindale previously. I didn’t have super high expectations due to the low review score here but I was pleasantly surprised on all fronts. Came with a party of four and we had a wonderful lunch on Sunday. The restaurant was fairly empty and we received great service, we were allowed to try some of the rice wines before buying a bottle. Although I didn’t get a photo the duck was superb as was the char Sui pork,l and chicken boodles we ordered. Everyone was full and everything cost £30 each. My friends who had never tried Cantonese roast duck before were blown away and loved the meal. Even though the restaurant is a little shabby I think that’s part of the charm. Great food, lovely staff and excellent value. Hope to return again one day

Highly recommended my friend and his family to have dinner on Monday. I was so disappointed and embarrassed . The main dish was the whole duck which I highly recommended arrived last only after we enquired ! Standard of the roast duck was poorly deboned and presented. Imagine the steamed turbot was presented before the roast duck and thankfully the mixed seafood tofu soup was its usual good standard.

A popular place for roasted duck in London. They now have 2 shops in Chinatown, in addition to the original shop in Bayswater, London. The quality can match those popular roasted duck in Hong Kong. Tender and juicy. They offer many other tasty dishes too. Queue is expected during typical meal hours. Try to avoid these times if you don't want to queue for a meal.

Hi, to the manager named James, told us there is a minimum pay all day at £15 per person. For whom wanna have a meal here, I have to tell you that if you are Chinese, you have a minimum pay when u order lol. But if you are from other countries, they actually never heard of there is a minimum pay! I asked one of the customers next to us, they had no idea but we got told there is a minimum pay lol!! I have been to this place a few times, since when it got a minimum pay. Staffs have not noticed us before we ordered anything and insisted that the minimum pay is all day, and will not applied to their delivery since they not doing any business with deliver lmao

I know they do great food and good service, I've had it in the Gerrard street branch but on my visit to the Wardour street restaurant I was quite disappointed, felt like they didn't really care, I'll let the photo explain.

Hello, I am your customer, I have purchased from you at both branches in China Town so many times but your service really disappoints me. I always buy Whole Roast Duck but this is the 3rd time you sold me not a whole duck, my order was missing a lot of pieces , this look like half duck and especially without 2 thighs, which is what I like to eat the most. You have lost me as a customer, I will not come back to any of your branches again. I hope that after my review, you will look back at your service and make changes, so that no more customers will be disappointed like me. Goodbye and hope you will develop further.

I came here with my friends for having a typical cantonese experience and we weren't disappointed! 👩‍🍳The Crispy duck was truly mind blowing and I really liked the sauce that was mixed with the rice and the meat! The staff is kind and fast, we had a lovely chat with one of the waiters. The restaurant inside could be improved. I would come here again😊

Had the lobster takeaway. Not disappointed. Very very good. Lots of yee mein noodles. The lobster was succulant and price was reasonable. Their roast duck is excellent too. Within the top five roast duck in the UK.

Ordered roast duck which was really tough to chew. Feedback to staff and got no apology for the low quality duck meat. Garlic kailan was bland. The only dish that is good was the sour and spicy soup. For the price, 25 pounds for half a duck, we were rather disappointed .i was told they have four outlets, so maybe we were unfortunate to step into this one.

Delicious pig stomach soup, beancurd dish and sweet and sour pork dishes to go with rice. Hit and miss with the service but wasnt expecting much as long as food was timely. Carpeted restaurant at the lower ground floor does feel abit yucky. But was compensated with good food.

El personal aquí atento, un personal masculino me sugirió que probara su arroz plato de carne triple, así que pedí uno, también pedí albóndigas fritas y una tetera. para el plato de carne triple, elegí pato asado, cerdo asado y cerdo barbacoa. todos estaban deliciosos, la salsa sabrosa, no demasiado salado, un poco dulce, no está mal! cerdo asado sobre todo carne grasa, no salado, delicioso! Barbacoa de cerdo un poco crujiente y dulce. pero si me preguntas, me gustaría recomendar su pato asado. es realmente sabroso, tierno, jugoso, y se derrite en la boca. el pato asado es deshuesado, por lo que es más sabroso. muy recomendable!

Our first visit on 12th May 2024 was a fantastic experience as we sat outside on a beautiful sunshiney warm day in London. The quality and flavours of the food were superb, and it was also inexpensive for its quality and portion sizes. Being lovers of Bourgogne, we also enjoyed the Chablis by the bottle which was very good and reasonably-priced. Both staff as well as owner greeted us warmly and the service was very fast. This will be one of my greatest memories of good times spent in London with my wonderful husband for many years to come.

Dingy carpeted Chinese restaurant that serves quite expensive food for what it is. Dirty ugly carpets, cheap . 3 dishes , £69, 2 people, expensive service charge for literally no service

dont know why people were complaining their service. i went there for lunch, it was excellent. the bbq pork and roast duck are superb!

Amazing food, absolutely recommended! The place doesn’t look amazing from the outside and it isn’t fancy inside either but the food is just great

Food was reasonable. But was put off by the manager when I asked to waive the discretionary service charges, he answered me rudely “why do you wanna waive it” 🤬🤬🤬

Food was cold. Then they microwaved it. It was still cold.🙂

Famous for the roast duck but they have an extensive menu (try the Sichuanese dishes from the special menu) and prompt, efficient service. We have been eating here or getting take away duck for many years and have never been disappointed. In the quieter hours, there's even some friendly banter from the staff.
