We arrived at the restaurant at 8:15 p.m. We chose among many other restaurants in ChinaTown because of their beautiful frontage and interesting menu. We returned, a very brief welcome. We felt watched by the staff who were waiting for us to choose our meal, coming several times in say 2 minutes, several different employees, to find out if we had chosen. The drink arrived straight away, and the meal the next minute… the food was ok but nothing more for the price. We ate and felt watched once again by the staff who, we could see, were eager for us to finish and leave. Barely finished the meal, the cutlery had barely been placed on the plate, they immediately came to clear our table. No offer of dessert or coffee, one of the servers had completely removed the tablecloth from the table. The message was clear, we want to close so leave. We left at 8:50 p.m. 35 minutes in the restaurant in total. I have never spent so little time in a restaurant and had the feeling that we were being kicked out (I should point out that the end of service was normally indicated for 10 p.m.). To flee

First time visiting London so thought Chinese food China Town . Didn’t feel Very welcome by the staff . Felt rushed . When ordering food I was asking for suggestions. As wanted to try new things. Not helpful at all . It was like that couldn’t be bothered to talk to you . On paying the bill I asked for the service charge to be removed. As personally I don’t agree with it . I feel it should be left up to the customers discretion on what to tip. The lady looked at me in utter disgust. Told me that it can’t be removed as automatically added on. Told me it’s on the notice board outside. I said I didn’t see it. Then she rudely said thats your problem , your fault for not noticing it. Honestly I was absolutely took back in shock. I refused to pay the service charge. Only paid for our food . We did leave a £5 tip . However the food was nice , but would definitely not go again

An absolute scam. We went on December 25th, everything was closed in London except Chinatown. They gave us a menu with Christmas prices for three delicious rice for 25 pounds, which in Spain you eat for 8 euros and more delicious. The menus are the cheapest, 49 pounds minimum. Two people without a drink, of course, and tacky as hell. 120 euros in Esoaña, two people in Chino, one of those with fish tanks and red lamps, it is difficult for you to pay it even by ordering Pekin duck on a gold plate

The Chinese food was thoroughly underwhelming and painfully average. The chicken satay was dry and utterly devoid of flavor, while the sweet and sour duck was similarly bland. The rice tasted stale, as if it had languished in a rice cooker for far too long, and the chicken curry was disappointingly watery. The only redeeming dish was the crab soup, which was just about acceptable. To make matters worse, the meal was shockingly overpriced, and the service left much to be desired. The waiter seemed indifferent, failed to bring our prawn crackers, and showed no effort to improve the experience. Overall, a major letdown and not worth the cost.

We visited during Christmas without knowing that the prices were different—specifically, the noodles were priced at £30. The restaurant also tried to scam us with the price of the starter by doubling it: instead of £22, they charged £44. Furthermore, it can be unpleasant when you try to explain yourself, and they start speaking in Chinese to mock you. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant in the heart of Chinatown, on several floors, the food is OK but the service really needs to be reviewed...we are asked what we would like to drink, and the waiter leaves to serve another table because we asked him for advice and that it was better to read the menu, we asked to heat a meal for baby and it's limited if we don't get sent upset, and after paying, we clear the table and the tablecloth before even leaving to make ourselves understand that we have to free up the space because the table next door needs to expand...there must be a better option in the street in terms of service.

I had lunch with my family here and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food! We had previously visited another Chinese restaurant nearby, but the food at this restaurant definitely tasted better and felt more authentic. Since we had a rather late lunch at around 2:30 pm, we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. Although there were plenty of staff members, it took a while for someone to take our order. Thankfully, the food arrived quickly once we placed our order. The portions for the noodles and most dimsum dishes were quite generous, but the egg tarts were smaller than average. Most of the dishes tasted excellent, and we were very happy with the overall dining experience. It cost us around £30 per person, but we left feeling very satisfied and fulfilled.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and nicely decorated. It’s a shame that the service was poor. The waiter was unhelpful, disinterested. We had vegetarian spring rolls which were fine I guess. Crispy but not much of a filling. Crispy salt and chilly bean curd was very not very crisp and very soft inside the coating and very little seasoning. The only chilli seasoning was the fresh chillies sprinkled on top. The main dishes were super over priced and not to our taste. The egg fried rice was more like boiled rice with mixed in egg nothing about it was fried. We did enjoy the vegetarian Singapore noodles. Can not recommend this place.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite nice and the food was generally tasty. Unfortunately, the staff was extremely unfriendly and the prices were greatly overpriced. The side dish has to be bought separately for each dish, which in the case of normal “plain noodles” means a bargain £8.80 on top. In addition, a tip of €20 for 5 people was simply added to the bill, which unfortunately does not reflect the service at all

Chicken with honey and lemon sauce and a small portion of rice: for more than 15£ that's not even worth the time waiting for it. No particular taste, the chicken was too wet from the sauce and too sweet and also with no seasoning on the meat. Rice was dry and with no taste whatsoever. And it was meant to be "small portion" but I can not imagine the bigger one. I couldn't even finish half of it. Other members of our group have ordered other meals and it smelled like stinky socks. Like literally I thought someone's socks were smelly after the whole day of walking in shoes. Service - I poured my coke in small portions to still have bubbles in it and to not make the ice melt and mix with the coke but the waitress came and poured the rest (⅔ can) into my glass without asking and for no reason, just to take the empty can... 🤦🏼♂️ Never ever again. Reconsider the visit.

We’ve been to the Golden Phoenix before and it’s been fine, but on this occasion we were disappointed. The waiting staff were generally attentive and courteous. However, we were shocked when we received our £22 salt and pepper prawns dish. Look at the photo, taken immediately after it was served to us, and judge for yourself if that price is reasonable. Times are hard and profit margins are thin, but this is pushing it. Other than that, one of the dishes we ordered arrived a full 35 minutes after the rest of our order was served. Staff were surprised when we told them not to bother. All this is a shame, as we’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past. We won’t be coming back.

The noodles were barely seasoned and tasted like nothing. They were just soaked in soy sauce. Large (3 floors) Chinese restaurant with a very large menu of food items. Our group ordered a vegetable fried rice without egg, a chicken fried rice, broccoli in a garlic sauce and a BBQ beef with boiled rice. All the food was fine, not great. Service is not great, very busy unhappy servers, dropping off food with minimal comments.

Food was good although the vegetable stir fry were very starchy, dumplings really tasty and special mention to the crispy pork belly. Good portions. However, service was a real let down, the host at the door was nice and accomodating but after that we felt rushed, staff barely looked at us and acted annoyed when we were ordering food.

Stopped here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Typical chinese restaurant ambience and food was good but not special.

Met friends for lunch here in Chinatown. There's no reservation possible so it's best to queue before opening at noon but tables maybe available for late comers. They have a very good Dim Sum menu along with other dishes. Mark off your choices on the paper menu and they arrive pretty quickly. I wentfor the Dim Sum mix, a crispy seafood dish and a large bowl of rice with spicy sausage which was a bit too much.

It’s such a blessing to have hot pot in London! We ordered three types of broth: tomato, bone broth, and mild spicy. Vegetables cooked in the bone broth were absolutely delicious. The shrimp paste was a bit fishy, so it might taste better in the tomato or spicy broth. We were lucky to catch a discount promotion—50% off! The total for two people was around £80.

I just came to London from China for 2 months and missed pork belly chicken very much. On Saturday, my husband had a day off and took me to try Wenxingjia roast duck and pork belly chicken. The service and food turned out to be very good. The lady who served us was great. She introduced the menu one by one, I also paid special attention to the work badge Jerry.

Really tasty food, especially the duck. We have been here 3 times now and the food has always been great. The interior design is old and really needs doing but if you can look past the interior you won’t be disappointed
