food was nice. service is pretty inadequate, asked for our drinks as soon as we sat down not having even looked at the menu; had to wait a while for our order to be taken; not friendly at all would just snatch away plates and order customers to go to the second floor despite tables being empty. £80 for four dishes and one bottle of water is quite pricey.

7 out of 10 We went there for lunch, place seems to be very authentic considering the type of clients, menu and decoration. We ordered vegetarian dim sum and vegetable spring rolls as starters. I loved the dim sums, they were tasty, fluffy and full of flavour. Only 1 type of dim sum were suitable for vegetarians and they have a huge menu so that was a low, but the one suitable is very good. Spring rolls crispy and tasty, good, but not as good as the dim sum. As main we ordered vegetarian noodles with veggies, mushrooms and tofu. This was good but has nothing special, average noodles. Service was good and quick and prices are affordable considering quality and size of dishes. I would totally recommend the dim sums.

Been there three times. The first two times were good, duck with ho fun was amazing. Yesterday, every piece was 50% bone. I complained, and they explained that ducks had bones. I said I'd never had duck with bones before and that somehow all restaurants manage to remove it. She said if I wanted without bones, I should have ordered another item. I wanted to say that it kinda goes without saying that most people would not enjoy having bones in their food, but the staff's English is pretty poor and I reckoned the lady wouldn't understand me.

I visited this restaurant on Friday evening with a friend. After a long day at work and a light lunch I was really looking forward to indulging in some delicious Chinese food. Unfortunately I was left very disappointed. After scanning the menu for a few minutes I decided to order the below. Starter: Mini Vegetable Spring Rolls and Chicken Satay. Main: Sizzling Beef with ginger and spring onions and Egg Fried Rice. Once the waiter acknowledged we were ready to place our order he came over and asked if we wanted our mains and starters together. I responded saying I would like my starter first. The waiter then informed me that if I had my starter prior to the main my friend would be waiting a while for his main as he only ordered a main. I responded saying I understood and that my friend could share my starter in the interim. Usually once you respond the waiter goes to the kitchen and reappears with the food. This particular waiter remained and for some reason was visibly frustrated. He then repeated that my friend would have to wait for his main despite us already saying we were fine with this. In the end my friend just said to him to bring the mains and starters all together. The waiter then walked off looking irritated. Eventually the food arrived. The starters were really nice and tasty. However the Sizzling Beef was Bland and boring and the rice tasted like it was cooked about 4 days ago. Imagine rice that's been in the fridge for a few days then you heat it up for about a minute or so in the microwave. The food was edible but unsatisfactory. Frankly speaking I would have been better off with a Pot Noodle. Despite the nice surroundings and delicious starter, I wont be returning due to the DEAD main and inpatient rude waiter. If you want great tasting authentic Chinese look elsewhere.

With so many Chinese restaurants in this area it is easy to pick one, but you never know how it is going to go. This was found to be great. A very busy, very large restaurant opens up when you enter. It is across 2 floors with extra seating on a higher floor I was told as an overflow if required. We were seated on the 1st floor in a great table overlooking downstairs and the restaurant behind us. It is very nicely decorated, colourful and typical of an older style. We ordered 4 x soups as our starters which were lovely, the same quality really as anywhere else. Hot and tasty, they were 3 x chicken and sweetcorn and a crab and sweetcorn, delicious. Mains arrived promptly with larger than usual portions of egg fried rice ( easy enough for 2 people in 1 portion of rice if you visit )........the varying dishes of chicken with ginger and green pepper x 2, beef in black bean sauce and a chicken sweet and sour we found all quite nice. All 4 dishes had an abundance of meat and vegetables. ample indeed, nothing spared on quantity. Drinks were small bottles of beer which is a tad disappointing, and the wine a bit warm so we asked for ice. Not a brilliant drinks service. Service, we found very good and quick. We were not hurried at all, however we did notice how efficient the staff were at turning tables around us once customers had left. Very quick and very interesting to see. ( We were there in the middle of matinee West End shows and evening shows so it was extremely busy ) The bill was definitely reasonable for Gerrard Street, the heart of Chinatown. All in all a good choice.

Vast place run by what semm to be unhappy and disinterested staff. We were told to find our own way to the third floor. Long wait for menu, room cool and had to put on outdoor clothes, drinks order when it came was mixed up with another table. Food was luke warm and at 'take away' standard, which was a surprise given cost and prime location in Chinatown. A bland aromatic crispy duck came with too few pancakes. Don't know why, this can't have been much of a cost saving. Salt and pepper squid was a bit soggy, lacked seasoning and the flour coating was under cooked and dominated the dish. Background ambiance was provided by the crash from a constant round of energetic plate and cutlery stacking. At the end a 12% service charge was added to the bill. When challenged we were told by a rather surley waiter that this was to be expected.

I would encourage others not to eat at this restaurant. My partner and I visited 7th Feb for an evening meal. The waiter could do with some customer service training, he didn't speak practically threw a plate of food on the table and didn't bring my partners food for a few minutes. It would have been more appropriate to serve both meals at the same time. My partners meal was slightly warm and served on a chipped plate. The cloakroom was unclean with no running hot water. The waitress should not have been working with a cough, at one point she coughed while passing our table she continued to serve food without washing her hands. The meal was bland, definitely not worth the price paid. In my opinion this restaurant should be avoided, don't waste hard earned money on a sub standard service and food.

Food was OK, but really nothing special, and certainly not great value. A 12.5% non-negotiable 'service charge/ tip' seems a lot for the quality of service that is provided. This really.shpuld ve an optional extra that customers can leave at their discretion.

Awful service from the moment my friend and I walked in. The host was abrasive and rude. The server was also rude when we asked for menus. The food on the menu was different from what was offered on the menu screen outside. We ended up paying for the tea and soda we drank and leaving to go elsewhere for our meal. Avoid this place.

Schlechter Service, unfreundliche Mitarbeiter, Essen kam spät, Rechnung unaufgefordert gebracht. Mitarbeiter gestresst, bevorzugten chinesische Kunden. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis enttäuschend. Keine echte chinesische Küche.

Worst Chinese food ever! Way too overpriced like any other China town restaurant, extremely greasy and unhealthy.....led to a bit of indigestion! Our local takeaway is better by a million with much tastier food at reasonable prices! What a waste of money! Disappointing!

The food was amazing. Best Chinese food I have had in a long time. The service was strange, the waiter seemed very uninterested.
