A modern concrete building in the heart of Shrewsbury. The interior has a fantastic range of stalls and places to eat. Would visit again

Great for a visit nit the usual tat.

Cute little market on multiple floors. I only visited one floor due to time constraints but it was nicely laid out, clean, calm and friendly. Hope to go back some time.

Truly a wonderful place. We have switched shopping at the supermarket for our meats and vegetables to the market hall. The quality is much better

What an interesting and vibrant Market. Lots of items for sale on the colourful stalls. Great atmosphere in the market helped by the many stalls selling food and drinks. Why can't all markets be like this.

Always a great experience with a wide choice of stalls offering a variety of goods. Also a number of cafés and "street food " vendors serving excellent meals and snacks.

Most unusual places, if you have thirty minutes spare well worth an amble round. Lots of small stands with all sorts of products and plenty of little food stores. Seems very popular.

I went to get some fruit from the fruit and veg that is in there and they have plants to . Everything is good the staff are always friendly never had anything bad from there

Do not be put off by the outside. This is a real winner of market halls. Such a great mix of stalls and great eateries both downstairs and upstairs. My favourite shopping place in Shrewsbury.

I remember going here as a child, what a difference it is today. Had a lovely Thai meal at House of Yum.

Tucked away market with lots to see.

There is a huge choice of artisan goods but everyday goods such as fruit, vegetables and more everyday meat are very over priced. Good selection of places to eat though.

Nice little indoor market many different stalls on the ground floor and and an asortment of permanent little stall/shops and cafes on the upper perimeter of the open stall area .

As ever, Shrewsbury market is a good place to visit. Wonderful butchers. Fruit and vegetables and many other fascinating stalls to browse. Only criticism is that the café always serves 'tepid' coffee !

Tired inside and out but amazing stalls and variety of produce. I can't understand why the Council don't make this an iconic feature in the middle of town instead of an underwhelming looking building.

Best market in Shropshire, loads of independent and locally sourced stalls for all your needs. Fresh fruit and veg, butchers, clothes, art. Restaurants and cafes and more just amazing. Highly recommend the bird nest for a fantastic breakfast 😋

A* Market Plenty Of Choice Staff happy to answer questions and order products in if they don't have 👍 used to visit supermarkets and buy more than needed butchers here sell single and as much as needed didn't work out expensive also more than 1 inside so plenty of choice Fruit and veg stalls sell fresh products would visit again and highly recommend people do

Well worth a visit. Numerous eateries birds nest is a personal favorite but all are good. The fruit/veg stalls and butchers/fish mongers all all recommend. Parking is probably best down at frankwell it's the cheapest and easiest to park at.

Fantastic market, where you will find quality meat, cheeses and vegetables, amongst an assortment of numerous stalls selling everything from homewares to bags, and gifts. Lovely market, numerous eateries and coffee shops and a great place to visit.

I used to visit this market as a child, although in many ways it still looks the same it's absolutely not. Many of the stall holders are now selling artisan products. In addition it is home for some of the best tapas cafe/restaurants I've ever been too. If you're visiting this beautiful market town please do visit the indoor market. It won't disappoint

As a visitor to Shrewsbury, I found the market to be well worth a visit.

Market was good, access and egress, poor. People there rude no resoect for disabled.

I have always loved the market hall as do my children.

A real old fashioned indoor market on 2 levels. Excellent quality fresh local produce on sale at very reasonable prices and different little outlets with "street " food and drinks . Fun, unusual , tasty and very different . Check days to visit as Thursday not all stalls are open. .

This indoor market promotes local artists really well, I would live to get back here if I can and be able to spend a couple of hours going through the vinyl upstairs too.

More than just a market hall terrific place

Quite fantastic the collection of different businesses in there, a must visit!

Great fruit and veg. The odd stall to purchase necessary items such as plugs and plungers. Some stalls selling made at home items, which is a great way to support small business. Worth a visit.

The best indoor market in the UK!!!

Shows what a modern market can be, lively interesting and inventive. Pity there's no outdoor / glass viewing platform for the best views. A little pricy but perfectly formed :)

How nice to visit a proper market where you can buy a range of goods from small independent traders. There were stalls selling all kinds of things plus a range of eateries too. More markets these days like Chester for example seem to just concentrate on eateries rather than a traditional range of stalls.

Lovely atmosphere, great selection of shops with some wonderful independent coffee shops and eateries.

Love this market, it's the gem of Shrewsbury, so much choice under one roof, lots of fruit & veg, choice of food stalls, butchers especially Corbetts their meat is excellent value for money, homemade sausages are so good, the market is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday it's well worth a visit.

Excellent market, good mix of stalls and it has a lot of small food stalls/restaurants. Well worth a look if you visit Shrewsbury. You probably wouldn't look as it is at first and second floor of a 1960's replacement to the original market hall. Just have a look I think you will be surprised at the selection of food stalls, gin and wine cafés and a really good coffee shop on the upper level, fabulous cakes 🤤😋

Shrewsbury's almost hidden but best independent foodie place to be

Excellent indoor market, lifts to food hall and balcony level as well as stairs. Several good butchers, super fruit and veg. Multiple food outlets of different cuisines as well as two traditional cafes for breakfast etc.Vinyl records, bric a brac, wine bar, gin bar etc. Closes at 4pm but several times a year they have late opening special events.Albrecht liked his breakfast.

Many independent sellers and eateries within the market hall both offering a unique experience and purchasing opportunity. The market hall also caters to your everyday requirements in the way of fresh groceries: - fruit and vegetables, fish mongers, butchers, pet supplies, and greeting cards, etc. It was well laid out and clean, even if it felt slightly dated, personally it added to the appeal and ambience. It took me back to my childhood when you shopped with awe and curiosity, holding conversation with the sellers. Much preferred over the modern rushed and clinical experience of shopping.

Such a lovely mixture of small businesses

A proper town market...apart from it being inside. Nearly something for everyone, for nearly every occasion. Cafés and eating spots provide food to suit anyone's tastes. Meat, fish, vegetables and bread stalls all provide good fresh produce Lift access from both entrances for folk with mobility difficulty. Large clean toilets.
