Great market, interesting stalls. Plenty of places to eat.

An excellent traditional indoor market with a good variety of stalls and food.

Decent food hall, fresh veg, cafe. First visit since we moved here. Will definitely go again.

I always go into the market when I'm in Shrewsbury, such lovely food and fruit and vegetables to buy.

Vert quirky stalls, you could buy something unique. Food and drink is amazing.

A proper market, wide range of items and food too. Recommended.

Shrewsbury's almost hidden but best independent foodie place to be

Excellent indoor market, lifts to food hall and balcony level as well as stairs. Several good butchers, super fruit and veg. Multiple food outlets of different cuisines as well as two traditional cafes for breakfast etc.Vinyl records, bric a brac, wine bar, gin bar etc. Closes at 4pm but several times a year they have late opening special events.Albrecht liked his breakfast.

Such a lovely mixture of small businesses

Many independent sellers and eateries within the market hall both offering a unique experience and purchasing opportunity. The market hall also caters to your everyday requirements in the way of fresh groceries: - fruit and vegetables, fish mongers, butchers, pet supplies, and greeting cards, etc. It was well laid out and clean, even if it felt slightly dated, personally it added to the appeal and ambience. It took me back to my childhood when you shopped with awe and curiosity, holding conversation with the sellers. Much preferred over the modern rushed and clinical experience of shopping.

A proper town market...apart from it being inside. Nearly something for everyone, for nearly every occasion. Cafés and eating spots provide food to suit anyone's tastes. Meat, fish, vegetables and bread stalls all provide good fresh produce Lift access from both entrances for folk with mobility difficulty. Large clean toilets.

I went to get some fruit from the fruit and veg that is in there and they have plants to . Everything is good the staff are always friendly never had anything bad from there

The market is an eclectic mix of shops and cafes. There's a good selection of cafes (or restaurants). I have eaten there a few times, and it's always been good.

The market as loads of very interesting articles and excellent choice of coffee foods . Clean 🚻 too old fashioned but in keeping with the market. Shrewsbury is a lovely town with loads of independent shops and attractions. The river is just stunning parking isn't cheap but worth a visit for something different for Christmas gifts

Good market stalls and lots of small cafes with a wide variety of cuisine styles. Not open on Mondays. A finalist in market of the year 2021 I think. A great place to shop, eat and have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Current winner of Market of the Year for the 2nd time I think. A really great indoor market.

A lovely little market to walk around with lots of variety. The only thing I would say is that Shrewsbury town parking is extortionate. If using the council car parks or street parking (which is also council-run), would it put me off going there? To be honest, yes, it would.

Curry great, other food vendors excellent as well, gloubglou is best wine in shrews

It's a great place to shop, great selection of stalls and plenty of food choices.. Parking in the town is getting harder and too expensive..

Good place to shop with a variety of businesses. Clean & well maintained. Not too busy when we were there either - although that was a Sunday

Evening drinks in the most popular place in town

Before visiting Shrewsbury, I’d heard that the Market Hall was a standout amongst the busy streets. I know Darwin was from Shrewsbury but I don’t think evolution has hit this place. I really think the place needs modernising and the toilets were something out of Wentworth Prison. I didn’t mind some of the stalls but I think there’s much better markets out there!

Nice little undercover market with some great craft and food & drink stalls. Well worth your time if you fancy something different or some street food or just a coffee & cake or even a gin!😉

Lovely mix of traditional and more modern traders all under one roof. It's a proper shame the Council don't give them the opening hours they need to thrive. Food and drink traders especially need later nights and weekends. It's extremely short sighted and somewhat anti business. Some absolutely excellent food traders in there too.

We love this place. Every time we head to North Wales we stop here to stock up on groceries - quality meat, great fresh fruit and veg. There are also some really nice cafés and restaurants. Definitely do pay them a visit!

A real gem. Of a market, with great street food from around the world, market is a must see if you are in the area.

Good market closes about 4 pm .plentiful of fresh veg and a good selection of meat.

Excellent market. Everything you need is here and this place is great for a solo trekker as well. This market is a must visit.

A nice selection of produce and effects, notice of customer lifts on floor one to floor two would be useful for visitors with disabilities.

Specifically stopped off in Shrewbury to visit the market. Very busy as before with loads of great sellers and fresh produce. Great little food stalls here this time catering for all tastes. Highly recommend the Chinese dumplings had, could have eaten a bucket full but sadly closing time cut our treat short. Will go back again

What a fabulous place to visit. Although I didn't purchase anything I could see the butchers display looked good quality meat.

OMG the best market I've been too. Fabulous eateries. The stalls are classy and imaginative. Occasional later nights. Highly recommended you drop in here when visiting Shrewsbury

If you are a tourist who doesn't have these kind of things in their country, this is such a nice experience. It's very cosy and lovely to see all the various things and have a drink and lunch.

Quite a big indoor market, lots of little stalls dotted about and cafe had lovely food

Market didn't meet up to it's award winning expectations for us but did have some lovely crafty bits and pieces on sale and some nice places to eat but was a lot smaller than we were expecting. The town centrr over all was bustling and had some lovely shops and I would recommend a visit.

Love this market. We had great conversations with the stall holders, ate at two different cafes, bought some fresh meat and vegetables. We also purchased both indoor and outdoor plants. Can't wait to visit again!

Great place doesn't look good on the outside but there is a great variety of food and stalls selling all sorts

What a hidden Gem! I'm not local and stumbled across this when visiting family. Such an eclectic group of stalls and shops. Only negative is the toilets were very dirty and dated.

More than just a market hall terrific place

I love it in here. I'm sure a lot of people just don't know about it too. The board game shop is great and the breakfast at the Birds Nest is second to none.

Open at 8am well you may get a drink but nothing open at 9am llimited stalls why state 8am?

I must admit I haven't been there for years and was very surprised at the layout and the happy people that were they're ready to serve you well done keep up the good work

Wasn't aware of the market having been to Shrewsbury many time. Its a little gem, plenty of stalls with a good cross section of items. Excellent small restaurants within the market noted live music coming up would strongly recommend a visit

Used to have open stalls which were great. Now they all have canopies and you can't see the produce.

Excellent coffee (best flat white I've had in years !) at the Morocco House and Tapas Cafe.

By far the best indoor market we've ever visited in the UK. Lovely stalls with a bit of class thrown in. What makes this stand out is the number of pop-up eateries/coffee bars offering excellent cuisine from Thai to Moroccan. There's an excellent second hand book shop and even a gin bar. This market is very unassuming from the outside but truly wonderful.

A busy little market. Many good food shops, meat, cheese, bread. Many places to eat (street food), noodles, Indian. Many artisan type shops.

Lively, pleasant atmosphere. It's got a great selection of food, drink, clothing and gifts. All sorts to buy with excellent quality. Service is fantastic 👏

Fantastic place if you're looking for something to eat - good choice of cuisines. Also from time to time you can attend "Late Night at the Market Hall" (live music included, but I have no idea how often)

Got that traditional market smell. Lots of stalls from shopping to eating.

Visited this place with low expectations but was blown away! The outside is a innocuous (slightly ugly) modern building but inside are 20+ microbusinesses ranging from cheesemongers, butchers, cafes, gin bar, street food This place reminds me of tooting broadway market, (although less ramshackle) - very charming part of shrewsbury and a great way to scale a smaller business - brilliant idea for local businesses to thrive before taking their own premises.

I can't get enough of the Thai in particular.... Mega!!! Next door the freshly made Chinese dumplings were gorgeous but if I am honest a tad overpriced which is why I couldn't tip.... Sorry!!!
