Shoreditch Grind in Islington

Tuve mi día iluminado por la encantadora Lola cuando vine a tomar mi café. La bebida y su servicio pusieron una sonrisa en mi mesa. Gracias!

Buen desayuno sencillo por un precio relativamente razonable (para Londres). Las tostadas estaban frescas, los huevos buenos, el café con filtro me despertó. Servicio atento y rápido. Un gran comienzo del día.

Recientemente en Londres para ponerme al día con amigos, y hacer un poco de investigación para trabajar desde Australia, me encontré en Shoreditch y sus alrededores. Amante del buen café, había buscado en Google “mejor café Shoreditch” la noche anterior y arriba llegó Grind. No me decepcionó, pude conseguir una gran mesa en el sol de la mañana de agosto, el servicio fue muy amable y eficiente, el desayuno fresco y delicioso y el café era muy bueno.

Pensé en apoyar a los pequeños pero me fui decepcionado. Cargo por servicio a escondidas, personal desinteresado y café pequeño - no volverá

Food was great and service was great! Joyce was fantastic! Service was attentive and swift and thoughtful; most restaurants would just give you a bottle of ketchup but here they thought to put it in a little dish one for me and one for my boyfriend separately, small action but thoughtful.

This is always super busy and it is very popular, that's why it took me so long to give it a try. But when I was passing by it was quiet, I wanted a coffee and chill for a while so I've decided to give it a go. Had a white americano and it was a nice for a coffee break.

I went to the Old Street location for breakfast on Saturday, the welcome was warm, food and coffee were 10/10 (I had the veggie breakfast) and some of the friendliest, quickest service I have had. Plus the lovely team gave me a small gift as it was my birthday. Couldn't recommend enough - wish i had the waiters name as would love to give him a specific shout out but I didn't get it - the team working will know who it was though!

Vi fandt dette sted tilfældigt for at spise morgenmad/brunch. De har en super lækker menu bestående af alle de klassiske morgenmadsretter ! Flot anrettet og vigtigst af alt, smagte det også fremragende. Et godt sted til at putte på sin insta story. 😉✩ Det er ikke lige på den billige side, men kaffen og maden levede op til prisen. :) Det så ud til at være ret populært, og næsten alle borde var taget, da vi kom ind. Vi kom dog uden reservation, så tror sagtens, at der er plads.

Great service. Daniel noticed my arrival, and ascertained quickly that I would like table service. Took my order promptly and the coffee was perfect. Thank you.

We were cautious of this place initially, looked like a generic hipster coffee joint; overpriced and uncomfortable. But alas it was a gem. The cappuccino and latte were smooth. On the first visit we tried the smoked salmon and the veg breakfast. Salmon was perfection! Poached eggs were perfect! But the breakfast, oh my it was superbly. The oyster mushrooms were moreish; salt and chilli will do that. Their ‘homemade’ has browns were better than any I’ve had before. We practically licked the plates clean (but not really that’s 😷) It was so good we went a second time and tried the French toast. Thick and sweet, cannot fault it. The location is ideal, right by the tube. Saw some of the comments regarding service and the aloof staff. All honestly I think that’s just part of the hipster aesthetic. But we didn’t get that impression at all, in both instances we didn’t book and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Great food and great coffee 10/10 👍🏾☕️

Vlakbij ons hotel en is een fijne plek voor een drankje. Vlotte bediening, de muziek stond wel heel luid, maar dat zal wel de charme zijn.

The staff were very welcoming and the coffee was fab, would rush back! We sat outside and didn’t have to wait long at all for the service.

Loved the coffee and cocktails for happy hour. Brilliant location close to my work and great meeting place before catching the tube.

I went in to grind and took a seat as the sign above the counter said to. I was sitting waiting for some friends but it took 20 minutes for someone to come over and they said they’d go get some menus. 20 minutes later , after my friends arrived, we went and grabbed the menus ourselves because that waiter never returned. By the time we had someone come take an order, I had been sitting down for an hour. That being said the food was amazing and the coffee was delicious. Decent price as well, so was very impressed. It just was a shame due to the really poor customer service. Someone came and took our plates away and it took us forever to get the bill as well. In the end one of our party went over to a waitress and asked if we could pay, saying that we’d pay separately. When she came over with the card machine we asked (politely as well) if we could pay for what we ordered as we all had a different amount of drinks. Her response was so blunt and rude saying that we couldn’t do that because it had already gone through the till, even though she typed out the amount in the card machine. Even if there was no way to undo it on the till system, at least explain that rather than be blunt and blame my friend who came over to you for it. Very odd. It was such a shame as I love Grind coffee and was so excited to try the cafe. But this really did put me off.

I had some time to kill before my train and went in for breakfast. Staff were very polite, got me a menu straight away and took my order very quickly. I had a coffee, smoothie and the breakfast burrito and they were all extremely nice. The young lad who served me was brilliant and polite. I will pop in again when I’m in the area

I’m an occasional morning visitor here, and call in every time I’m in the area for my appointments at Moorfields Eye Hospital which is just around the corner. I’d come here far more often if I lived or worked nearby, but as it is I’m normally 50 miles away. For me, Grind serve excellent coffee (I normally have cappuccino for my morning visits) and I look forward to every cup - I normally have two per visit. This morning I tried a bacon and egg roll for breakfast for the first time, and that was very good too. There is plenty of outdoor seating, some of it sheltered with heaters for the really cold weather, and I always make use of it whatever the weather. Ordering at the counter inside, and the drink and food is delivered to your table when it’s ready. Every time that I have been here the staff have been excellent - welcoming, friendly and attentive, and at busy times working as hard as possible to keep up.

I had the protein breakfast and it was amazing I felt sooo good after, such yummy food and lovely workers and atmosphere, will be returning x

Very, very average flat white and breakfast roll. Any other random choice in this area would be at least as good.

I visited Shoreditch Grind recently, the coffee was really tasty (as expected) but the food was sadly very disappointing. The team were clearly short-staffed and were trying their best while staying very friendly and professional but it did put a downer on the overall experience....

We decided to come here last minute for breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good quality and tasted really nice. Everything looked bright and colourful! Smoothies were nice and staff were friendly. A little bit more expensive than what we are used...

The breakfast was delicious and a good size. Staff were attentive and very polite. A bit pricey but worth it. Will definitely come back !

Last minute decision to go here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was! Tasty latte and pancakes that kept me filled up for most of the day. Staff were friendly and attentive, great service and a quirky building

Had the avocado and egg on toast, was superb. Added that with a green moringa smoothie, good service all round. Shame about the uncontrollable buildings works on the roundabout outside but don't let that put you off coming here.

Great value bottomless brunch. Staff are very attentive and never want you to have an empty glass, especially Lindsey! She was very friendly and always topping us up. The best bottomless brunch I have had in London! The food was great also, loved the option...

Amazing coffee, albeit expensive, but worth every penny! The iced vanilla oat latte is my absolute favourite. Worth a try! Treat yourselves. The food is also incredible - the veggie breakfast is lush!

Love this place! I visit many times, breakfast, lunch, cocktails or just simply for their amazing coffee! They have several locations in London.
