Man that works there called my baby ‘that’. Asked me to move the car seat over as he wasn’t comfortable walking past ‘that’ with 2 plates of food, but he still had to walk past HIM anyway, just with the car seat on his left instead of his right. Won’t be going back lol, he was rude and the female staff members didn’t know where to look when it happened.

Lovely coffee and hot chocolate by the beach. Nearly didn't go because of poor reviews but glad I did as it was perfect and can't fault it.

Terrible. They had run out of most of the items on menu. Not even any scones or paninis. The breakfast we had to order was of poor quality and everything was cheap except the price . Would not return or recommend

Love it here. Staff so friendly and helpful. We went lots of times for coffee and cake and tried lots of different cakes. Every single one of them was delicious -couldn't be better. Ice cream and hearty food on offer too! The view is lovely - right on the shoreline with a lovely coastal walk on the doorstep. Plenty of seating at the cafe inside and out. And on the shoreline plenty of benches for sitting on and relaxing and to enjoy the view .

We take a detour from the M6 on route to the Yorkshire Dales for breakfast here. The view across Morecamb bay is superb (weather permitting!!!), the location provides ample space to walk our dog and breakfast is plentiful, well cooked and very enjoyable. The lady who runs the cafe appears to be a true 'jack of all trades' as she takes the orders, cooks the food and waits on the tables. Well done. You may have a small wait for food as it is all cooked freshly to order buts well worth the wait!!!!We have not tried any of the other snack or meal options but there is always a fine array of home made cakes and pastries on offer

We initially went to Red Bank Farm to have our lunch but there was an enormous queue which would have meant a very long wait so we decided to walk away wondering where we would go. On the way back to the car my husband started talking to a gentleman who was on his way there. He told him about the wait for a table and this gentleman told him about The Shore Cafe at Hest Bank so we decided to give it a try. We both had the Brown Shrimps on a Crumpet with side salad, a Coffee and some Carrot Cake. The service with a smile was a pleasant change. We found the meal to be very good and the Shrimps tastier for us on a Crumpet. The coffee was a little strong for me but not for my hubby and it was piping hot and in a large mug. We will most certainly return as we found both the quality and price very good.

Stopped here on way back from Lancaster so that dog could have a walk. Have been her before, but only for a coffee. As it was about 2pm we decided to have something to eat. Sat outside with dog and nearly all the tables had dogs. My husband had all day breakfast and I had quiche and chips. Both very good. Another plus was my coffee was really hot as I hate warm drinks. Bought a ball for the dog from the cafe, so she was happy too.

Happened upon this cafe as we were looking for parking for the beach. Decided to stop off for a light lunch. There is lots of free parking on the track / road where the cafe is. It was a glorious February day and we were able to sit outside at the picnic tables to enjoy lunch. The place was buzzing, particularly with dog walkers, there furry fiends by thier sides. There is reasonable size indoor seating also. We only wanted @ light lunch so had crab sandwiches and a pot of tea. This x 2 was £11. It was nice to have china cups and sauces and a refill pot of water. The sandwiches came with a surprisingly crisp although plane salad. The sandwiches made with thin bread wasn’t fancy, but was nethertheless tasty. All in all it was a really nice place to sit outside and have lunch. There were some rather interesting local pies being served with chunky chips that I would have liked to try. Not fancy but good value.

This is not the "poshest" place you will eat or drink but it is perfect for what it is. Lovely tea in china cups, an extensive hot and cold menu including crab and prawns, scones and cakes and all at moderate prices. I feel they have got just the right balance to make everbody feel comfortable. Great atmosphere, great service and unrushed.

We discovered this cafe a few years ago when holidaying in the area.It is a joy to visit and is always very busy. The food and drink are sublime, as is the view. We often drive up to the cafe from Preston just to have a brew and a relax by the bay. It is one of the best places ive been to in a long time.

I have driven through Hest Bank on numerous occasions but it was only through a work colleague who lived nearby that I heard about this cafe. We were on our way to the Midland Hotel in Morecambe and thought we would give it a try. The number of cars outside illustrated its popularity. It was a very hot day and most people were sitting outside. The views out over the bay were breathtaking and I imagine it was mainly patronised by locals out for a walk. There were any number of well behaved dogs in attendance too! The drinks were more than passable and served in very pretty cups but I wasn't convinced it is somewhere I would have chosen to eat a snack meal. Maybe it is so popular that the owners don't need to update it at all but to a passer-by like myself, it would seem to have a great deal of potential to make it really impressive without losing any of its quirkiness.

At the end of Morecambe Bay, situated on the shore at Hest Bank, you find a quaint little cafe known as 'Shore Cafe'. Perfect description as that is just what it is! Cross the railway to the shore road and immediately on the right, by the railway you find coffee and snacks at reasonable prices. There is a small indoor area, and an outside seating area. In summer, it is a great place to sit and view the bay to the front, or the Lake District Hills to the north. It is also the starting place for some of the cross bay walks, or for those less energetic, you can walk the shore towards Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth to the North, and Morecambe to the South. Opposite, is a grass foreshore leading down to the pebbly beach, a great place to play with the kids or walk the dog! However, one word of caution, beware walking on the beach as the tide can come in fast and the gullies can become quicksand. Cross the bay only with a qualified leader. However, well worth the effort of crossing the railway. Coffee, cake, ice-cream, and hot food available year round.

Was really looking forward to trying this cosy looking place, but I was really disappointed in the service here.. Firstly, when the drinks were served, instead of bringing it to the table, I was made to collect the tray and take it myself as if I was employed there. Secondly, the food was a HUGE dissapintment, an english breakfast for £9.45 and you gave me gone off mushrooms and 1 singular piece of toast split in half.. I couldn't even make it into a sandwich. Ordered a (undercooked) sausage bap and a (overcooked and reheated) full English. Let alone when they brought the food over (shocker, i thought I'd have to get it myself from the kitchen!) They just left the tray on the table with an over-stacked table tray and left. Bearing in mind, the tables are so small I could barely fit a full breakfast on there even with how little food they gave me for the price! Would not recommend going here

Ordered food from this takeaway, arrived 3 hours after ordering, an hour and a half later than they said it would arrive, requested a refund/cancel two hours after ordering which they have refused?? Shocking service but happy to take £50 from me and leave 4 people unhappy having to wait that long for cold food.
