Very rude staff, had table booked table for 6.45 and because there was no parking it took my mum who's old 5 minutes to walk there and the lady started threatening us at 6.45 and started becoming pushy that she will only give us 5 more minutes and if my mum doesn't arrive then will have to cancel booking. Very bad customer service, save your money go elsewhere like 4 seasons or get a take away, dining in experience is 0 stars.

Just called this place to book a table. The music in the background was so loud and sales assistant was downright rude. All she said was I can't hear you... I told you it was due to the loud music she's got in the background and she put the phone down. All I wanted to do was book a table for tonight as it is my wedding anniversary. Well they've just lost a lot of business because I was going to turn up with a group of families!

If there’s anyplace in UK that serves Indian food that tastes exactly like India, it is this restaurant. We travel from Coventry to eat here. Best Indian street food ever!

The food was too awesome, they know the actual taste of the food what customer like. Delicious each and every item which we have ordered today. We have tried Chinese Bhel, North Indian dishes, Naan and tikki chat. All over great experience. Thank you and keep it up.

I can see why their Veg Diwani Handi Curry is one of their best sellers, couldn't fault it. Pav Bhaji and Paneer 65 was also spot on. Loved their Vada Pav and Mango Lassi too. Can't wait to go back to try their chai and more of their chaats soon.

Absolutely loved my experience at Shiv Sagar! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and you could really taste the quality ingredients. I tried the paneer tikka and pav bhaji — both were amazing. The staff were friendly and made me feel very welcome. Definitely my new go-to spot for vegetarian food in Leicester!

First time having food from Shiv Sagar, I ordered for takeaway and everything was spot on! I had the Punjabi Thali and chilli paneer, there was enough of everything for two portions. Arrived hot and everything was full of flavour.

The masala chips and cheese was definitely the highlight! Great cheesy texture and flavour! We also had Paneer 65, Chilli Paneer, and Hakka Noodles, all of which here nice and fairly average. I felt the Dahi puri was just too much dahi overall, with not enough filling in the puri to match.

Very delicious food. Proper authentic taste of Indian food. Highly recommended and would love to visit again.

Had terrible experience with staff, booked a table for 10 but they couldn’t hold a table for us, gave our table to people who didnt even book, great isnt it. Ruined my birthday!!

We booked table for 10 people and they refused to give us table saying where is your remaining people.staff on the reception she don't want to understand our problem and give table to other people who came behind us.just because we were been struggling with parking with small baby .

Dont think they know to manage people, or maybe don't know to hold a booked table!! staff ruined my daughters birthday. Honestly terrible service!

We went for a lunch time , got place right away good atmosphere. We ordered chill potato- average taste . Pav bhaji very tasty and very authentic Dosa - Not good and taste less Place is good for north Indian.

No Manchurian on the menu says all finished and it’s not even 7:30 pm yet and states to close at 10 Very Disappointing!

Awesome & Yummy food. Taste is beyond expectations. Food options like Garlic and Onion free, Gluten free menu items are available. Friendly and caring staff. Always housefull as it's a popular Indian vegetarian restaurant. Better to book your table prior. Can even pre-order. Food served hot and fresh. Will definitely re-visit.

The food which I had from here is Shiv sagar special dosa,panner masala dosa,samosa chat and mango lassi. The quality and taste are amazing. When I was dining, it was a bit busy during weekends.

Good food, fast service! quite spicy though so be ready! Unfortunately disappointed with facilities - only 1 toilet to share for entire restaurant and no baby changing facilities!

We ordered Punjabi thali and it taste good but the dessert(gulabjamun) we got a fungus on it.

Food - Chole bhature 5/5, Vada pav 4/5, Dabeli 4/5, Veg Manchurian fried rice 4/5, Chai 5/5. There was a satisfactory quantity of dishes. The ambience was absolutely amazing.

We were a party of 15, celebrating my son’s birthday. Varied dietary needs etc. The food was delicious but the service was excellent. They were very accommodating of all our needs and at all times courteous and friendly. Thank you for a memorable evening

Completely tasteless food, I don’t think that the way you serve people would come again.Food was smelling bad as soon as i opened the container and also the vegetables in the curry looked very dry and old, never coming ever again.

Great place if you want to try Indian Street Food! Some their dishes remind me of snacks from back home. Good shout if anyone from India's feeling home sick :)

We dined in this restaurant first time and won’t visit again in near future because the dishes we ordered from the menu all of them were tasteless. My wife ordered the Hakka noodles, but when they came on the table and we tried the taste was pathetic we also complained but they came back the same way it was. Also dosa chutneys and sambhar were also tasteless. So we paid the bill and walked out hopelessly like we paid the bill for nothing. We will not visit again ever.

Amazing food! I would say Vada pav was the highlight of the meal followed by Harabhara kebabs. Almost felt like we are having food in India. Also, the staff is very nice and polite. Good experience overall.

Excellent authentic food. Equivalent to home made food. Go as a group and taste multiple dishes. Prior booking is very important or you have to wait for your table for 30-45 minutes. I will visit again.

They make the tale true once you get big then you dont bother on customer service and quality its just making money and that is the agenda. They should not entertain customers after certain time if they can't accommodate and give them a good service. Pathetic service and rude owner. Their was hair in our chilli paneer which was classified as a brush hair used to oil naan. The staff was to busy to run here and there and not listen what we ordered lots of missing and incorrect item. We were given two chances to order because kitchen was closing and it's was not our fault to wait 45 mins for table because they had not allowed to sit upstairs so that they dont need to clean it because of this they quality of food and service was not at all happening. Once I was a big fan of Shiv Sagar but now it's pathetic and not worth.

Be prepared to be surprised by the dishes as the names and food in menu and what comes to your table is totally different not in a good way.we ordered biryani but what came was a bad surprise as the vegetables were boiled separately and rice was half cooked no taste the vegetables were raw and no flavour of biryani masala.masala papad was also not good,they gave a plain pappad and some vegetables scattered namesake. Overall would not recommend.

Recently visited shiv sagar. Food prices has been increased and food wise it was better before not anymore. Normal food and tasteless you can find anywhere. Less paneer in paneer labandaar or any other paneer curry. Tandoori roti are not cooked or cheaper flour has been used. Better go somewhere else than wasting your money here

We had a very disappointing experience at Shiv Sagar on two separate occasions. During our first visit, we found a hair in our food. While the staff offered to replace the dish, they did not provide the same item we had originally ordered. Despite this, we decided to give the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, our second visit was just as disappointing. The food was completely tasteless, and when we requested some salt to improve the flavor, the staff instead added an excessive amount of chili, making the dish far too spicy to eat. It was so overwhelming that even the adults at our table struggled with it, let alone the children. Once again, the staff attempted to offer us a different dish and persuade us to stay, but at that point, the experience had already been ruined. Given these repeated issues with food quality and service, I would strongly advise against dining at Shiv Sagar.

Really enjoyed the food at Shiv Sagar, great taste and great service. We tried Aloo tikki chat, Chinese Bhel, Garlic Naan, Kaju Paneer Curry. Everything was very tasty and good quality. Kaju Paneer Curry is something I had never tried anywhere in UK.

We love the taste and hygiene here. We visit quite frequently. Some of the regular food items tasted different when we visited this time. Hopefully just a one off occurrence.

Pre-order my lunch to be served but ended up waiting for 15 min. Staff kept lying about it ready and i didn’t even had a table. What a waste of time

Today it's Christmas & they spoil our mood,we regularly visit the restaurant & coming from Coventry but today the man is really rude he is new might be or don't know how to run. We already call them before 2hrs & we reached they told us we have to reserve a table what the hell n offer us corner table that no one likes if you tell us on phone then why we are coming so long... Sorry but not acceptable might be you lost a customer

The worst experience as they don't value our time. I called this restaurant at 3:30 pm and asked about a walk in as I am driving from coventry and it's Christmas day. A person responded that timing will be normal but if it's quiet then it will close at 9:00 PM. I clearly mentioned that we are coming from Coventry to dine but when we reached the restaurant I got to know that its full and give a side table which I requested for to change as we aren't comfortable on it than he told me this is the last one else everything is booked. Why can't a person on the phone not mention this in the beginning, wasting our time and fuel. Since last couple of years we are consistently visiting this place but this is the worst experience we ever had, from now onwards we never ever visit this place again.

First time in this place..tried this one as Chaipaani just see.s to be getting more & more expensive with not much change in menu. Went to Shiv Sagar to get a takeaway, had masali chai & nimbu paani whilst waiting - both were yummy. Food was tasty, amazingly soft & tasty naan, food on the spicier side eventhough we asked for mild...we will surely give this place another go!

I ordered a Gobi Manchurian on 6 /11/24. It was a disaster. No taste at all. When I escalated it, the staffs gave me very poor response.

Raj & Jay were just amazing! They were so kind the way they helped my mum get into the restaurant (wheelchair user). The service they offered was exemplary…. Very polite, attentive, professional & friendly & offered excellent dish recommendations when asked. The service from start to finish was 5* and the paneer was delicious! Thanks!

We absolutely love this place. I am gluten free and really impressed with menu detail. Food taste excellent every time we come which is usually weekly. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clean with hindi songs playing in the background. Lovely vibe.

Loved the food, feels like eating in India

Honestly I didn't expect this restaurant to food to be this bad. We ordered chilli paneer and we also asked to "make it very mild please" you would expect something favourable but not at all spicy.But when i opened the containter it was loaded with chilli flakes .It was the more spicier than anything else.

I recently ordered Mix Veg and Dal Makhni, but both dishes were unbearably spicy and inedible. I was extremely disappointed as I couldn’t enjoy the meal. Please ensure better quality control to avoid such experiences in the future.

Absolutely favourite Indian restaurant in Leicester. Food is always 10/10, VERY tasty, cooked fast, generous portion sizes, and fantastic service - you are never left waiting, whether this is to order, receive food, or anything else you need. Can't recommend enough - definitely book if you are going on a busy weekend as it's always very busy with queue, but well worth it! Also, thank you to our favourite waiter Raj - always goes out of his way to make sure we have a great meal, very knowledgeable and helpful, and service with a smile! Went for a dosa with my girls, our dhal was brown in colour, don't know why? The dhal we ordered with chawal had too much garlic. Girls flauda was so small for the price we paid. All 3 of us ended up with stomach upset. I don't think I can go there again.
