Shishawi in City of London, Westminster

I had some great memories with this restaurant. After 2.5 years, we planned to revisit the place and revive the memories of having the most delicious food and all that in economical prices. We planned to visit it on our son's birthday and it turned into a huge disappointment! Every single thing has been changed. No presentation, not the same taste and service. The quantity has reduced to a child's meal. My husband ordered grilled chicken which was absolutely burnt and was bitter in taste. The prices have hiked so high that there is literally no relevance in the quantity, quality, and it's price. We will never go again at Shishawi!

I've only had their shisha here and the frozen blueberry with lychee mix is amazing, I am very glad I had been recommended this flavour. It is a bit expensive but you are on the edgeware road where it's very lively every night / day. Parking is hard to find and if you do find parking you better hope there are no ticket men wandering around

We had gone to Shishawi for some food and had got the boneless whole chicken and desert to be honest the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauces had complimented everything however the desert was a let down. The cheesecake tasted old and felt like it was left out for a while.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shishawi, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and perfectly balanced seasoning. Every dish, from the appetizers to the main course, was beautifully prepared and presented. The cleanliness of the restaurant was remarkable. Every corner, from the tables to the restrooms, was spotless, reflecting a high standard of hygiene and attention to detail. The staff provided excellent service, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to answer questions about the menu or offer great recommendations. Overall, Shishawi offers a perfect combination of amazing food, a clean environment, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I dont do Sheesha, so my review is about their food only. Its been 3 days ive had food from there and im fighting diarrhea. Its tasteless, overpriced, and may not be good to your tummy. Waiters are nice until they bring you wrong bill and you tell them they have added dishes which you never ordered. Highly recommend avoiding this place.

I've never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. Food was great but at the end the waiter tried to pick up all the trays at once and spilled four full bowls of sauce all down ny hair, coat and trousers. He never apologised and when I said I didn't want to pay for my meal because I'd have to pay to dry clean evweything they became incredibly rude, trying to yank my coat out of my hand to wash it in a sink laughing at my complaints, trying to say it was my fault when id literally been sat in my seat as sauce was dumped over me. Left much worse off than when I went in. Avoid!

Never disappointed. We go here everytime we visit London. All staff members are so polite and helpful. The owners always checks in on people. And the food is wonderful.

Highly recommend not visiting this restaurant. Very bad service and the food quality absolutely poor, lamb had a very foul smell and tasted very very bad. Nothing tasted right. Staff rude and don't seem to care, treat you like they giving the food free. I don't recommend this place.

Had an AMAZING experience, tried both food and Shisha. Warak Eynab was very tasty, alongside the other starters we ordered. The interior is beautiful and gives off a very authentic vibe. We then sat outside and enjoyed our Shisha, flavour Double Apple. Very attentive staff, constantly checking up on both tables inside and outside. Many thanks to ALL staff for making our experience immaculate. 10/10 Recommend + We will be back soon 🙏🏻

Food was cold and the zatr bread was really hard

The manager was shouting at the staff members, they were really under pressure, I think they were short staffed, he didn’t consider that , he kept shouting at the staff members , we felt really nervous and guilty as we were supporting this business which slaves people. Served the stale food with cold rice. Charged us 10% service charge and then bluntly and unashamedly asking for a tip for a waitress. Best to avoid this rip-off!

Dirty toilet , Rude staff & terrible food - worst place to be at Edgware Road - I had a food of £164, when I told them to remove discretionary 10% service charge they got upset and rude - although it’s my discretion to pay or not! I told them I’ll pay staff tip but you can’t force me to pay discretionary service charge - they are done I’m going to complaint to council about food quality & trading standard about them resistance to remove discretionary service charge -

Les dije que pagaré propina al personal, pero no puede obligarme a pagar un cargo por servicio discrecional - han terminado. I ordered in advance and gave the restaurant ample time for delivery, but they still sent cold food. A restaurant should understand that hotel orders are often from guests visiting the city and should prioritize quality service. This reflects a serious lack of professionalism and basic business ethics. Extremely disappointing!

Very bad customer service They took the orders and made us wait for about half an hour. We were totally ignored, when we asked them for the orders, he told it is being getting ready but then he came and told the order was not recorded we have to order it again. What a ridiculous customer service is this??If we haven’t enquired about the order after this 30minutes, they would have not considered to give us food

Food was average and gone down over the years. When we asked for the 10% optional service charge to be removed, staff got rude by asking why and said its compulsory. Go to Al-Arez few doors down the road with much better food and service.

Good atmosphere and the interior make it feel like you're in another country, and it's very impressive. However, the food is dreadfully mediocre with no taste at all but worst of all the service. We were harassed by the staff to pay the service charge. The waiters were impatient and rude. Paying for the bill was a nightmare. I've never experienced anything like that before and will not be coming back.

The Biryani was amazing, as was the Shisha and service. Fareed was very promote and friendly.

The food is very yum yum and the people are very kind. Very clean and well maintained too. Plus the atmosphere is very rich and well with big chandeliers and all so I would definitely recommend. Also if you really really care about food then they have literally everything on their menu and it is delicious 😋 😊 very fresh and beautifully served too on these beautiful plate thingys. Nice. Not that expensive too 😊

I recently visited Shishawi Restaurant and overall, it was a pleasant experience. We ordered hummus, falafel, lentil soup, and chicken kabsa. The hummus, falafel, and soup were all excellent – flavorful and fresh. However, the chicken kabsa was a bit disappointing; the chicken was overcooked, and the rice wasn’t fresh – it was cold and had too much paprika. Despite this, the atmosphere was great, and the service was good as well. They did include a service charge on the bill, and when the waiter asked about gratuity, I had to remind him that the service charge was already included. All in all, not a bad experience. I’d recommend Shishawi for its good service and nice atmosphere, though perhaps skip the kabsa.

My go-to place for a late night grab and occasional sheesha with friends. Buzzing Atmosphere most of the time.

Absolutely amazing food. We had a serving of Lamb Shank and a Shawarma Sandwich. The food was ten on ten and the staff was very friendly. They allowed us to bring food from the outside as well. We also ordered 2 kunafahs which were really great.

Food was reheated and not cooked fresh even grilled fish which should be cooked when ordered. It was very evident in the meat which was cold in the centre as if it came out of the fridge and not fully reheated. The food tastes at best just below average and bland. Service is below average. We were handed the menus and asked about what we want to order literally after 10 seconds. Mostly no one smiles at you and you feel like an unwelcomed guest. It was not bad or rude but not good as well except for one waitress who was helpful, all the others simply don't care. The atmosphere is average but noisy.

Staff is unwelcoming and makes you feel quite uncomfortable. The food is tasteless and of no quality. Poor hygiene all over the restaurant

Food was great, service was good too. Only thing is that we went with quite a big group of family. There were large screens right above our tables, and sometimes some indecent song videos were coming on these screens. The very kind waiter did switch these off when I asked, but they were again switched on after a few minutes. Apart from this, we had an enjoyable evening.

The food was to an inadequate standard. The service was very low, the meals were just placed anywhere on the table, on top of existing food items. The bathroom is unclean.

Shisha was average. Asked for a simple double apple and mint. It actually started nice, then a worker who was just hovering around me took the pipe from me and said "I check". At this point I didn't ask for any help or anything. He takes it and takes 5 big hoover puffs of my shisha, looks at me saying "it's nice", takes ANOTHER puff and then hands it back to me. I never asked for "help", nor did I ask for my shisha to be burned and passed back to me. Pointless. Went back after a year, more recently on 25/06/24. Same thing, from the same older gentleman working there. Absolute clowns who just burn shishas or smoke the customers if they taste good. Ridiculous

Best restaurant ever and everything is great

I recently visited Shishawi in London. The atmosphere was pleasant, with modern decor that created a comfortable setting. The staff were friendly but service was a bit slow. The shisha offered a good variety of flavors, though it required a few adjustments to maintain quality. Overall, Shishawi is an okay spot for shisha and a meal, but there's room for improvement. It's a decent choice if you're in the area, but not necessarily a must-visit. I also used the toilet which wasn’t clean.
