Always delicious - the best in Brighton/Hove - and the service is exceptional. The lamb dish with stew and broad beans rice is my favourite, and the chicken joojeh is simple but always tender and the char from the real charcoal grill gives it that yummy bbq taste.

Fantastic dinner at Shiraz last night. The staff were attentive and catered to our large group (about 15) without any problems. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Lovely atmosphere too. I've eaten here with my husband in the past and the experience was equally good. I would recommend you give them a try.

I wish I could give them 6 stars! We recently celebrated my partners birthday at Shiraz and the team went above and beyond to host us. They took our booking for 18 people quickly, called to confirm everything and even booked us for 20 just in case, as I was still waiting for everyone’s confirmation for the party. The food was delicious and they catered for both our meat eating and veggie friends equally well. They were also excellent and super patient with splitting the bill at the end. Nothing to fault - awesome food, and impeccable service, we’ll be coming back! ☺️

Delicious Persian grill in Brighton, I haven’t eaten so good since moved to town .Really enjoyed lamb fillets and marinated chicken ,but everything -including Mediterranean salad and Crispy Nan really worth tasting.definitely will be back soon.

Newly opened Persian restaurant great food and excellent service highly recommended

I was served a slow cooked lamb dish with kidney beans and vegetables. On the menu the recipe stated it was cooked with spinach. I am a retired restaurant chef/owner and the dish was unacceptable because it was made with tinned spinach. Fresh or frozen spinach is readily available and the flavour of tinned spinach compromised the flavour of the whole dish. The rice was boring and cold. I have travelled extensively in the ‘Persian’ nations and my meal was a very disappointing example of this cuisine. I do not consider the meal I was served good value for the price I paid.

Cannot fault this restaurant usually like a curry , most of then have really gone downhill over the last few years .This place is fantastic, never eaten Persian before will definitely be back soon!

This isn't the first time we've been to Shiraz and it won't be the last. There's always a great atmosphere, friendly service and great food. I like the sharing platter option of any two hot starters and any two cold starters and there's a good selection of main courses. One of our party was a vegetarian and although it doesn't seem like the obvious choice of restaurant for a non meat eater, she was very happy with what was available for her to eat.

If you’re looking for a meat-heavy filling meal, this is for you. I got a sharing platter so tried a variety of meats: The kebabs are grilled on charcoal and you can taste this smokiness right before you bite into the juicy meat, which I have to commend. It was overall a very good meal. Reccomendations: Lamb mince kebabs -> the star of the show, your teeth slip right through and the natural juices mean you don’t need any sauce or extra seasoning. Cooked to perfection. Chicken wings -> soft and juicy with the perfect level of spice and flavourings which balance well with its natural smoky flavour Bread -> you’d do yourself a disservice not ordering this! Warm, fresh and so moreish, we had to order 2 extra batches Shiraz salad -> you can’t say no to a salad which js chopped into fine cubes, comes with a lemon and vinegar dressing - my brother is practically allergic to salad yet he left no crumbs Now the ribs were a bit too fatty, and the lamp chops too chewy. The chicken was nice but maybe a tiny bit on the dryer side. The saffron rice could have a little more saffron - the saffron flavour didn’t permeate through much. Service was great. Food took a while to be served. Make sure to book on Friday and Saturdays - it was fully booked but managed to get a walk in before 6. Veggie options: veggie and halloumi kebab and a range of veggie stews. They had an allergen menu. All meat is halal.

Great food and staff very friendly all the food was very tasty . I didn’t like the fact we were charged £4:00 for bread to eat with your hummus and baba ghanoush !! How else are you supposed to eat it with your fingers! Especially when it’s £6:50 each anyway.

I have tried kebabs all over Brighton and Hove, and this place is by far the best. Delicious food, every time, without fail. The rice is next level and the chicken is always cooked to perfection. The presentation when you order via Deliveroo is always great, as well. These guys care about food, and it shows in the quality. It's on the more expensive side, but well worth it. I love the shiraz salad!

I mainly get delivery from this place as they do the best Persian food in Brighton IMO. My usual order is: - Shiraz Wings - Ashe Reshteh - Gheymeh (or Bamieh) - Shirazi Salad ..and if I'm feeling cheeky the Joojeh. Make sure to load up on additional chilli sauce (it's home made and fresh). If you don't order from the Persian stew then you're missing the trick completely.

The food here is 10/10 would highly recommend, came with a friend and Samira gave us the best recommendations of what to order, fantastic service and food. Will definitely be back soon!!

Our second visit here in just a few weeks. Learned from the last visit - ordered additional bread and halloumi with our small plate starters and an extra skewer of meat with the mains……five skewers perfect for four people, including the excellent lamb ribs. They serve too much rice however. Food was perfect, service still a little slow/haphazard and their communication (‘phones and emails) pretty poor. Great restaurant

Had a lovely meal at Shiraz with friends. It’s nicely decorated, all staff were friendly and attentive, and the toilets were clean! We ordered the sharing platter and everything was delicious, plus plenty of food for 4 hungry people. The only thing that let it down was the Irish coffee, on the expensive side at £9.99 and you could barely taste the whiskey. I would definitely go back but stick to the excellent espresso and baclava next time.

Whenever we are in Hove, we make a point of going to this excellent family-run restaurant. The decor is elegant, the staff are friendly but the main reason of course is for the superb foot. The boneless Joojeh chicken, tandoor bread (with garlic mayo and a very spicy chilly sauce) and home-made Persian Bastani icecream are firm favourites. I cannot recommended them enough: delicious and healthy! Watching the chef cook your food on the charcoal grill is also rather mesmerising! Can't wait to go again!

The best restaurant in Brighton and one of the best restaurants in Britain for those who come from London for it. Do not regret it, I recommend Al-Koubidiyah and Al-Sultani to you.

We had been staying in Hove for a few days and stumbled across Shiraz on an evening stroll whilst looking for somewhere to have dinner. As we walked by there was a buzz and chatter exuding from the restaurant. We decided to chance our arm (we hadn’t done any research prior to going out) and head into Shiraz. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere (ambience) with attentive staff. We would highly recommend!

I recommend their Kabab Torsh and Kashke Bademjan 👌🏻 The atmosphere is very lovely but it can be too noisy in peak times

Incredible gem of a restaurant serving both flame grilled and slow cooked dishes. We both had traditional dishes cooked to perfection and then, when it was too late and we had no room left, started drooling over what everyone else was having as well. The answer? You need to go more than once to fully appreciate Shiraz. We'll be back again... and again. Huge thanks from two very happy customers.

A great experience, this Shiraz dinner. For 4 people, with the starter/main course at £95 + 3 desserts and a very decent red wine from Rioja, cost £140. The welcome is friendly and the service attentive. A slight regret about the quantity of starters, very good indeed. On the other hand, the skewers are copious and succulent and the desserts delicious - Baklava in particular. An excellent address!

Took our two boys with us who are sometimes a bit hit or miss when we dine out but they finished the lot. A superb experience. I would highly recommend Shiraz. Very welcoming and family friendly.

Good service,attentive without being too intrusive. Food was well cooked and my lamb was like velvet,melted in my mouth. The restaurant was busy but this did not affect service or food.

We have been out several times for dinner and have kept walking away disappointed-until now- we had dinner here last night- was greeted with really happy staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the food was absolutely amazingly -I mean melting the mouth! The staff were attentive without being harassing - the perfect hosts in my opinion! The prices were really good and the portion sizes were a good size. This is now definitely a must on my restaurant list and my wife and I will definitely be going back here again!!!

The food was great. Definitely recommend. I booked a table, mentioned it was a celebration. Asked for longer time. But when we arrived. The waiter just rushed us from the second we got in. They did not acknowledge my booking or note. I felt like we got the worst table, rushed service and to that is why I could not give 5 stars. Also, the waiter recommended salad. But I asked for dolmades. But we got salad. Did not complain as it was 😋 tasty!

Had a delivery and was good. Koobideh was fatty as expected but really well seasoned and tasty. Lamb and chicken was good too. Rice was on point because of the resting meat juices and nice touch with the grilled tomato and pepper. Just needed more flavour and seasoning with starters in my humble opinion. Worth a try for sure.

Our family love this place and visit as often as we can. The welcome is always so friendly, service is always top, even when super busy, which it often is! We do generally have the same dishes every time we go, as we all love them so much (joojeh, gameh badamjoon) and find it very authentic and full of flavour. Love the minced chilli sauce and garlic mayo too.. Always a great experience.

The food and service are great! The menu is mostly lamb, a few chicken choices and veggi sides. Good size portions, definitely ask for the garlic sauce and chilli sauce - later super spicy 🔥 The waiter was brilliant, very attentive and service was swift even though they were busy.
